(Sorry sent you this ask in Dan but would be more fitting to do it for EGS) To follow up the ask about the Dewitchery Diamond, one thing that has bugged me is why this artifact that definitely worked with highly potentially disastrous results was kept in the lightly secure facility of inert and useless objects? The worst case scenario I could imagine abusing it would be a lunatic with enchantment magic just using various enchantments on themselves and repeatedly using the diamond to make themselves an army of magic "cursed" duplicates.

The only logical in-universe answer is someone didn't take the potential for someone else going after the diamond seriously, which unfortunately means I need to throw Edward under the bus on this one.

"Elliot and Tedd only went because they knew it was there. To anyone else, it's a complete unknown. Plus, the facility itself is a trap. We'd catch anyone before they'd get to some crate on the second floor."

Or, more likely:

"Let's go to an amusement park." Katsuki suddenly suggested.

Eijirou and I looked at Katsuki, eyebrows raised. Amusement park didn't seem like his MO. At all. I tried to imagine Katsuki among the cheerful mascots and scenery. I even tried to paste a kind smile on his face. It just didn't fit.

"You alright? Work getting to you?" I snickered.

He glared at me.

"Fuck me for wanting to hang out with my favorite people." He grumbled.

My eyes widened and Eijirou and I looked at each other. Then I hugged Katsuki. Eijirou kissed him on the forehead, rubbing his hair. We could practically see the steam coming out of his ears. A deep blush quickly taking over his features.

"Awww well when you put it like that we gotta go!" I said. "When are you thinking?"

"Now." He said, showing me his phone.

It was a text from Ori.

Loud Mouth:

Hey hey! I scored a bunch of free tickets to the park today and am inviting a bunch of people. You want some?

"Since when were you and Ori on texting terms?" I asked.

"Nunya." He replied, texting Ori back.

"That's real mature Katsuki. Way to go." I replied flatly.

"Was Ori that one guy? With the blue hair, very excited." Eijirou asked.

"The one and only." I replied.

Eijirou shared a look with Katsuki and he smiled. I looked between them wondering what mental conversation they were having. Eijirou stood up and stretched.

"Well then I better get some clothes." He said

"I'm helping you pick." Katsuki grumbled.

"You're dressing me?"

"Someone should you fashion disaster."

"Hey! You had a crush on me while I was actively being one. So clearly something's right." Eijirou huffed.

"Or something's wrong with me."

"Ouch. Was it just my body Katsuki? Is that all you care about?" Eijirou monologued dramatically.

They bantered back and forth as they walked out of the door towards Eijirou's place. I didn't want to leave but I gathered my things and went to the station to go towards my house. When I got on the bus, my phone buzzed.

Going to my house to get clothes?

We coulda dropped you off :(

It took a moment to remember who that was then it came to me. I randomly changed it last night because Eijirou pouted about Katsuki having a cringy nickname and not him. So I impulsively changed his name to Teddy Bear in my phone. Honestly it fit perfectly so no need to think of anything else for now.

Y/N:

It's not a bad bus ride. Plus y'all could get some sweet sweet alone time.

Katsu-dear:

When they arrived, I hopped into the car. Katsuki looked a bit tense. His outfit was up to his usual level so it can't be that. I didn't understand til I looked at Eijirou in a Hawaiian shirt. Eijirou cleared his throat and I looked up from his chest to a shy smirk.

"Well it's nice to be on the receiving end of that stare."

"Okay so making a personal pact to not fuck in the theme park." I said

"Agreed." Katsuki said, avoiding looking at either of us.

We drove toward the theme park and Eijirou handed me my ticket. We went through the line and entered the park. Kids ran and couples stood around trying to decide what to ride. Distant screams echoed as roller coasters whipped their passengers around the track.

"Roller coasters!" Eijirou cheered.

"We can't just get on the big one first, we gotta work our way up. Let's do the Death Drop!" I said, starting to get excited.

"Wait, I'm gonna find Ori real quick then catch up." Katsuki said.

"Oh! Well okay we'll be in line then." I said as Eijirou dragged me to the ride.

We got in line and waited for a bit before I turned towards him.

"Did something happen to Katsuki?"

"What? No." He said avoiding eye contact.

"So what happened? You're a terrible liar by the way."

"Um well. This is our first date all together so I think he's nervous cuz of that." Eijirou said, still avoiding eye contact.

I narrowed my eyes, a small frown settling on my lips.

"...Are you nervous?" I asked gently.

"I mean. Not really! I get to hang out with my best buds! So...I'm not too nervous."

"But you are a little." I said.

"...Yea. You and I are still pretty new to each other so I'm just trying to shake the nerves."

"Same here."

Yes we were dating now and we've hung out before no problem but somehow the new dynamic brought a little bit of awkwardness that wasn't there before. Eijirou shuffled a bit whenever the line wasn't moving and we kept playing eye tag. After about 10 minutes of silence I've had enough.

"Let's play a game or something?" I suggested. "Icebreakers. Anything."

Eijirou cupped his chin. "There is this one word game I like to play."

We played word games back and forth and talked about our favorite daydreams we've ever had. Eventually, we devolved into swapping memories, sharing crazy family stories back and forth. A small part of me was worried it'd continue to be awkward with just us but it flowed beautifully. I was almost sad when I could see people boarding the ride. Katsuki brushed through the crowd panting to catch up to us.

"Your friend talks way too much." He huffed.

"Our friend. Y'all have been bosom buddies lately." I corrected.

"Don't call us that."

I rolled my eyes as we piled onto the Death Drop. I started fidgeting but tried to hide it since I was around pros who probably did more exciting stuff every week. I glanced over and saw Katsuki squirming, examining the restraints while Eijirou's eyes widened at the height of the ride up close. I snickered at them and Katsuki glared at me. Eijirou pouted. I tapped Eijirou's foot since I couldn't reach out and touch his face. We kept hitting each other back and forth as the attendant checked our restraints.

The ride started with a few cheers from some of us. We rose higher and higher until we stopped. We overlooked the whole park and saw all the people milling about. I wondered if Katsuki ever blasted himself this high up. Eijirou reached over and brushed my hand. He was able to hook a finger around one of mine. I smiled and squeezed.

"Alright everyone! Repeat after me! AHHHH!" The amusement park worker said.

Some of the crowd repeated in a confused manner until the ride suddenly dropped and we were screaming for real. We rose up a little bit and dropped a couple times before we finally settled on the ground. I laughed as the butterflies in my stomach fluttered around. Adrenaline putting a pep in my step as I hopped out of the seat.

"That was a great start!" I cheered.

Eijirou agreed with me as we high-fived. I turned to Katsuki and he rolled his eyes begrudgingly bumping fists with us.

"Such a cool guy wow." I snickered.

"Damn right."

We walked around the amusement park laughing and joking the day away. I would occasionally get texts from Ori and Yu with pictures of their adventures in the park. They've always got along well but I wonder if there's more to it. The day went on as we strived to ride literally every ride in the park. I could feel my feet starting to hurt as we finally sat down and ate something. Eijirou and Katsuki still looked pretty fresh compared to me. That's that pro-hero stamina for ya. Eijirou bumped Katsuki and he glared then cleared his throat.

"Y/N. You wanna ride the Ferris wheel?" He asked gruffly.

"Um. Sure!" I said, popping another fry in my mouth. "My feet need a rest anyway."

Eijirou looked around and his eyes landed on Ori and Yu passing by. They ran up, rushing the redhead.

"Hey man we found that thing you were looking for! The hero themed ears. It's on the other side of the park though, so we should hurry." Ori said, grabbing his arm.

"Um yes! You guys go on the wheel I'll get us some ears!" Eijirou said as he rushed off with Ori.

I raised my eyebrow at their retreating forms and looked at Katsuki.

"I guess he really likes amusement park merch." I murmured.

He grunted in agreement and held out his hand. I took it and he laced his fingers with mine as we walked towards the Ferris wheel. I couldn't put my finger on it but there was a weird tension happening right now. Katsuki wasn't really talking and I couldn't think of anything that could make him talk. After a painfully silent period of time, we got to the front of line and climbed into the car. Katsuki's foot kept tapping rapidly as it climbed up.

"Are you alright? You've been acting off." I asked finally.

He looked at me, his hands wringing together. His intense red eyes bored into mine as his body stopped moving altogether.

"Whaddaya think about marriage?" He asked softly.

My breath stopped. I stared back at him with wide eyes as my heart started racing in my chest.

Did I?? Hear that right?"

"Marriage?" I asked.

"Yea...with me." He answered.

"Yes."

The word slipped out of my mouth before I could stop it. His eyes widened as he froze.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Yes."

This time I said it intentionally. My whole body felt warm and butterflies swarmed in my stomach. He wants to marry me? Of all people? I've never been a marriage person but suddenly the white dress and last name change seemed awesome. He leaned forward, kissing me on the lips. I made a surprised noise and then kissed him back. When we broke apart a thought hit me.

"Wait, what about Eijirou?"

"Already talked to him."

"Oh so I'm the one left behind again." I joked.

"Hush. Anyway he said he needed time." Katsuki said.

I prepared myself to comfort him but there was no sadness in his tone.

"He said that he wants to have time as lovers before moving forward. Turns out he's a very by the book kind of guy." Katsuki explained.

"Very straight laced. Iida would be proud."

"Yea except he also has this fantasy of fucking you, my future wife, in front of me as a role play thing one day." Katsuki sighed.

"I take it back. He's a degenerate."

"Right?" Katsuki snickered with a fond look in his eyes.

He held my hand again, rubbing it with his thumb.

"Thank you for being in my life." He said softly.

He smiled and sat close to me as we finished our ride on the ferris wheel.

Eijirou POV

I watched them exit the Ferris wheel car and smiled. Based on the glow they both had, it must've gone well. I sighed in relief. I've never seen Katsuki so nervous about something that seemed like a sure thing. Then again. Apparently he was nervous about me too. So it tracks.

-Earlier that morning-

Y/N laid asleep as Katsuki and I were in the kitchen way too early for anyone to be up on a weekend. Force of habit from hero work. Katsuki was quietly cooking breakfast, seeming more deep in thought than usual. I walked up and put my hands around his waist, still pleasantly surprised I get to do that now.

"Hey you seem down." I said in his ear.

Katsuki pushed the skillet off of the burner and turned around holding me.

"Nervous." He said.

"About?"

He pulled back, eyes uncertain. He gulped and then looked up.

"I don't want anything or anyone else." He said.

His eyes were resolute when he said this. I knew he was certain about this, the problem is I didn't exactly know what he meant. Whatever he just admitted must've been huge because he seemed the squirm every moment I didn't reply.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean," He gulped."I want you to marry me, Eijirou. I want you both to marry me."

My heart fluttered in my chest as I froze up. A blush quickly dyed my cheeks as I struggled to remember how to speak after such a blunt confession. Thoughts of cuddling with them both everyday for the rest of my life filled me with joy. But I also needed time. I wanted to take things slow.

"You don't want to." Katsuki said, looking away as his arms dropped.

"No! I do! Just not right now." I said quickly, grabbing his face. "It's probably old fashioned but I want to enjoy every stage of being with you fully." I said cringing at how cheesy that must've sounded.

Katsuki looked at me, eyebrows pulled together.

"When we were friends I got to experience watching someone I admire grow and become stronger. I got to feel the frustration and victory of trying to keep up. I loved our friendship, even if there's some pain there." I explained more at his perplexed expression.

I leaned in, touching my forehead to his.

"Now I want to know what it's like to be wined and dined, and vice versa by the person I've admired for so long. I want to take my time with you both."

Katsuki blushed and looked away pouting.

"Why didn't you just say that idiot."

"Cuz you didn't give me time to recover from a proposal." I said tenderly as I kissed him.

He kissed me for a bit and pulled away.

"Can I say I love you or do we have to work up to that too?"

"I'd rather die than hear you say anything else." I admitted. "I've been replaying your confession on loop in my head for weeks."

"I've been thinking of that confession for years." He murmured. "Ei, I mean it. I know what I want."

"I don't doubt it."

"I'm gonna propose until I lock you down you bastard."

I don't doubt it.

I kissed him again.

"T'il then let's go on a lot of dates." I murmured against his lips. "Plus...cucking you with your newlywed wife seems fun."

Katsuki looked at me with a rare content smile on his face. My heart raced a bit at the sight and I smiled back. I met eyes with Y/N who looked ready to bombard me with details of the whole thing beat for beat. Ori clapped my back.

"Good thing you called us! She didn't suspect a thing!"

"Yea. She already told me I'm not a good liar so I needed some help." I said

"Always glad to meddle!" Yu said switching their hat for the ears they actually did find.

I found a small Fatgum plush backpack and an All Might headband with blonde hair sticking up. He's never going to wear it but I know he'd keep it safe in his home with the rest of his All Might stuff. I found a Crimson Riot bracelet that's currently on my wrist. They walk towards me and I quickly shove the All Might headband on Katsuki's head.

He quickly ripped it off cursing at me but noticeably cradled it in his hand carefully so it wouldn't get damaged. I noticed Y/N noticing that detail. She met my eyes and we both laughed at him which caused him to blow up at us. We walked deeper into the park, determined to get just a few more rides in.

Y/N POV

I couldn't get my mind off the proposal. Well technically pre-proposal? He said he didn't want to do some huge thing without discussing it with me. And that involved knowing he was gonna propose at some point. Although I'm pretty sure most guys just kinda suggest it. Like "when we have kids" or "when I'm your husband" not coordinate a whole event around it. But then again Katsuki Bakugo has never been subtle a day in his life. I couldn't imagine what the actual proposal would look like.

I smiled again for what seems like the millionth time. He really wants to propose...to marry me. And he was so nervous about it he had to ask before doing the actual proposal. We stood in line for the big roller coaster that Ei was excited about when we arrived. The line was predictably and annoyingly long but I was too busy floating on Cloud Nine to feel the usual irritation.

You and him are the only ones for me.

I felt over the moon every time I remembered it. He loved us! He wanted us so much he's willing to propose! I was so sure that if I jumped, I'd float away. I gotta tell my mom about this.

"Hey. Quick Question." Katsuki asked.

"Yes future husband, what is it?"

He sputtered for a second blushing before refocusing.

"The Dorayaki thing. You still haven't told me."

"Oh!" I said, then I scratched the back of my neck. "So when my mom was pregnant with me she ended up developing a serious love for Dorayaki. I'm talking about making it herself at 4am just to have it if we ran out level."

We moved forward in line a bit before I continued.

"So when I was born that stayed in place. One day, when I was about five or six, I made the mistake of eating her last Dorayaki after she had a really hard day at work. To make things worse, these were homemade."

My eyes glazed over at the memory.

I looked at Katsuki.

"She said. 'I love you more than my Dorayaki but just barely.' Then she pinched my cheeks and blew a raspberry on it. 'Next time save me some greedy butt.' She said before plopping me in her lap as she watched my favorite show with me."

"Aww that's so cute!" Yu squealed.

"Yea. So when I told her that. I basically was saying you were the guy I was gonna spend my life with." I said sheepishly.

Katsuki leaned forward and kissed me softly. After a few kisses, I shoved him off, embarrassed about kissing in front of my friends. I turned towards Eijirou.

"You're also my Dorayaki too. You're not getting rid of me." I said sticking my tongue out at him.

"Bold of you to assume I'd let you go after the kind of nights we've had."

I laughed and hugged my boys, feeling happy and complete. We managed to squeeze in two more rides before we were all completely wiped out. Eijirou and I sat in the back while Katsuki drove us home. I leaned on him as he put his arms around me like a warm blanket.

"I love you." He said softly.

"I love you too." I said back.

"I love both of you sappy idiots." Katsuki called from the front.

"I tolerate you I guess." I rolled my eyes.

"Yea he's alright." Eijirou teased.

"I'll leave you on the side of the road." Katsuki threatened.

I looked at Eijirou.

"You wanna marry me too, big guy?" I asked sleepily. "I'll treat you real nice."

"One day." He said as he ran his fingers up and down my back. "For right now, I want to savor you both."

"Damn perv." Katsuki said fondly with a smile.

We reached home and hobbled into the shower. This time, no sex, we were all exhausted. When we finished we flopped onto Katsuki's bed and tangled up together. Once again, I'm struck by how content I am. How right this is. Eijirou started his chainsaw snore while Katsuki absentmindedly started wrapping around the closest thing with a vice grip. It was way too hot in the bed and I'm probably gonna wake one of them up when I start moving around. They'd grumble, I'd retort and we'd sleep again. We should probably get separate beds one day.

But whether we do or don't. I wouldn't have my life with anyone else, or any other way.

港大教授：廣東話正面臨很大威脅

走進大樓繚繞的走廊，拐了幾個彎，才到達香港大學語言學系教授Stephen Matthews（馬詩帆）的房間。Stephen年輕讀博士時為了追求太太而學習廣東話，1990年來到香港，在香港大學工作至現在，研究中文，廣東話雖尚有口音，但已非常流利。門半開著，敲敲門，Stephen馬上起身迎接。房間一貫學者風格，書本、文件散落地上，很亂，但亂中有序，他靦腆地點一點頭，便用廣東話談起廣東話來了。

語言（language） VS 方言（dialect）

廣東話到底是語言還是方言已爭論甚久，Stephen指出，這視乎從西方還是中國的角度去觀看：「兩者分辨方法很不同，西方會用互相可懂度（mutual intelligibility）的概念來區分，即兩者能否互相溝通，我說廣東話，你說普通話，雙方能否互相明白呢？明白就是方言，不明白就是語言。經驗告訴我，廣東話是一種語言，剛剛有學生從英國回來，他跟我說，明明他在講廣東話，但中國人卻以為他在說泰文，對方不單聽不懂，而���連是否在講中文也不能分辨，這樣就是完全沒有可懂度了。不過可能現在我們聽慣了普通話，不太察覺這現象，在90年代的界線就比較清晰。或許我再用一個比較簡單明顯的例子吧，說廣東話及潮州話的人是完全不明白對方的，兩者無論聲調、詞彙，還是語法都完全不同，所以就是兩種語言了。」

「當然，這跟中國的看法不同，他們認為潮州人和廣東人都住廣東省，生活習慣和文化都相似，重點在於兩者對書面語都理解（shared common written language），所以兩者都是方言。不過我的經驗是廣東話跟普通話沒有這種共同書面語的，大家寫出來的中文都不同。」這時他拿起小說《男人唔可以窮》，指著說：「你看看裡面的字：『嘅』、『啲』、『唔係』這些字普通話是沒有的，我拿過香港雜誌給中國人看，他們是完全不懂的，不是因為繁體字的關係，而是裡面的字跟書面語根本沒有可懂度，廣東話約有三成的字是普通話沒有的。」

廣東話消失伴隨的文化也相對消失 廣東歌、香港電影、粵劇都因為廣東話而各有特色，要是廣東話消失，這些文化都會一併消散：「沒有廣東話，就沒有廣東歌，粵劇也是。廣東歌之所以好聽是因為詞彙聲調與旋律關係密切，兩者有對應（correspondence），如果用普通話唱就是兩回事了。」他隨手拿起一份相關論文，指著當中的例子說：「粵語歌很著重『啱唔啱音』，歌曲如完結在高音調的字如『三』、『身』等字，歌曲就不算完整，最好完結在第三聲，如『愛』；第五聲，如『我』等等。詞和旋律配合得好就會好聽。要是失去了廣東話，失去了聲調和旋律的和諧，所有歌曲都會變成『唔啱音』。」

Stephen又拿起一大疊廣東話小說：「廣東話也有文學，遠至《小男人週記》，近至《男人唔可以窮》；話劇《香港式離婚》的對白本也是用廣東話寫的。如果失去廣東話，這一切都失去了。」

「當然，要完全失去，整個過程需時幾代才能完成。然而照我看來，整個過程已經開始了。你會發現，有些父母說廣東話，但他們的小朋友是不說的��又有些小朋友是本身說廣東話的，但後來就不說了；甚至有些學校是禁止講廣東話的。到這階段，我會認為廣東話已經面臨很大威脅，而且難以挽回。」

「吃貨」與「小三」 坊間不少人討論一些中國用字在香港大行其道，如「吃貨」、「小三」等，Stephen表示：「這方面我沒太大研究，但照表面看來，其實人們也是在說廣東話，只是借了外來字，就像廣東話本身都借了很多英文字一樣，如巴士（bus）、的士（taxi）等，每種語言都會借外來字來用，這是很自然的事。不過我也發現不少人聽到這些新字都較敏感而反對，可能他們都覺得有一種大陸化（mainlandisation）的感覺吧！對我來說，這沒有文化侵略般嚴重，但如果本地人很介意的話就要自己注意點了。不過這種被本地人討厭的現象實在值得研究，足以成為一篇論文題目呢！」

政府從沒保護廣東話 無論殖民還是後殖民時代，Stephen認為兩個政府都當廣東話「冇到」，不支持廣東話：「最近期是林鄭被問到其母語是什麼時，這樣簡單的問題她竟然不回答，這令我們很失望。不過當年英國政府也令我很失望，幾乎沒有做過什麼去保護廣東話。」

「坊間只得極少廣東話字典，第一部有關廣東話的字典要到70年代才有，由Sidney Lau編寫的《Intermediate Cantonese》和《A Practical Cantonese-English Dictionary》，書本專門教公務員講廣東話，但除此以外就幾乎沒有了；市面也沒有教語法的書，所以我和太太就出版了《廣東話語法》，就算到現在，政府保護廣東話的工作都實在非常少。」

的確，看看普教中還是粵教中的問題就知了，Stephen有點氣憤道：「我不認為政府有做過任何研究，又或者他們做過，只是不出版而已，我猜因為看不到自己想要的結果吧？政府就是這樣，不只是語言問題，很多時候做決定都不會看研究報告，往往決定行先，不合心意的報告就不聽，這都是我不滿意這政府的原因。不過無論如何，就算最後決定全港要普教中，也絕不能禁止學生說廣東話，禁止他們說母語肯定是錯的。」

「不過近年民間越來越多人重視和提倡廣東話，我認為是一件好事，像Ben sir，他是我太太的學生；還有劉擇明先生創辦的《粵典》，是一本網上粵語字典，當中所有解釋都用廣東話，這都是很大的貢獻。」

說來也是，因自己母語是廣東話，便覺得毋須好好保護，沒想過原來這語言都會有慢慢消失的一天。訪問期間，Stephen貫徹學者風格，不斷強調著重實質理據，又隨時隨地在書櫃拿出書本，將廣東話的生動之處娓娓道來。一位外國學者尚可為廣東話鑽研至此，一些香港人卻不斷嫌棄、貶低自身母語，這現象，很是諷刺。

Napier, Hawke's Bay, Juillet 2017.

Alors que cela fait presqu'un mois que je suis fille aupair dans une famille à Gisborne, je décide de partir trois jours à Napier. Cette petite ville n'est qu'à quatre heures de bus de Gisborne. Agréablement surprise de l'atmosphère qu'il s'y trouve, je décide de marcher dans ses rues, le long de la plage sur la Marine Parade, puis je me dirige dans quelques galleries d'art. En effet, la ville est surtout connue pour son côté artistique d'où son appelation : Napier, ville art déco. De multiples graffitis arborent les murs tous plus colorés les uns que les autres. Je fais aussi la rencontre de Tedd et de ses deux filles. Cet homme, que j'avais contacté plus tôt pour une demande de couchsurfing, s'avère d'une grande gentillesse. Le soir même il me cuisine un bon petit plat, je lui rends la pareille en faisant de même le lendemain soir. Ces deux filles sont rigolotes, l'une m'apprend à jouer aux cartes pendant que l'autre s'improvise coiffeuse.

Mr Verres

For anyone wondering after the Arthur-centric post, Mr. Verres is similar in a lot of ways, but he’s more willing to raise hell for the benefit of an individual, or small group, in trouble. He has more of an “ask not for the whom the bell tolls” attitude, and is far less willing to throw someone under a bus for the benefit of everyone else.

As for progressiveness relative to Arthur, Verres is very tolerant, but possibly less accepting of things he doesn’t understand than Arthur. Arthur’s attitude is “I don’t understand it myself, but this is AMERICA, dammit”, whereas Edward Verres has trouble accepting things he himself doesn’t understand well enough to give exposition on.

Mr. Verres is fairly tolerant, but there’s a difference between tolerance and acceptance. Arthur’s reaction to a lifestyle he doesn’t understand would be taking pride in simply accepting it. Mr. Verres’s reaction would be to put it under a magnifying glass and try to make sense of it, and it being something he tolerates rather than accepts until he has.

The is Mr. Verres’s issue with Tedd, and it’s made worse by being Tedd’s father. He doesn’t get Tedd’s gender fluidity. While he tries to be tolerant, not getting it makes him concerned, and this concern creates friction between them, making Tedd feel unaccepted and defiant / sad.

Tedde and Renee - a couple of Dutch cyclists that I met going into California. After they finish in San Francisco, they will have logged 6,000 miles. We shared a lunch in Fort Dick, and I enjoyed hearing their stories. The Dutch have been figuring prominently in my latest bicycle adventures - Ton and Hans (The Dutch Bus) on the Rocky Mountain Tour in June, and Arend Jacobi on this ride. Great  people, every one!
