Hmm I think I will make a list of things I’d like to see a post-merger Six Flags do for Great Adventure (besides things like consistent operations/ride availability and keeping up with landscaping/general park appearance)…

Repaint Runaway Mine Train, Nitro, and Green Lantern. GL especially considering it’s right in view of the parking lot. In terms of non-rides, the exterior of the Batman Stunt Show arena could use a repaint too (even if it’s mostly unused outside of Fright Fest).

Restore NJ Transit bus service to/from the park during the peak season (Memorial Day-Labor Day + Fright Fest). Great Adventure is in the middle of nowhere, so it’s not easy to call an Uber. While there is a private bus company that operates a Port Authority Terminal-to-Great Adventure route, a round trip is more expensive than what NJ Transit offered (and NJ Transit offered more routes, at least in the mid-to-late 2000s/early 2010s).

Refurbish the Skyride a la what was done for Cedar Point’s (which was made by the same company and is of a similar age). But if the Skyride is truly unsalvageable in its current state, then they should replace it with an updated model.

Visual refresh for the Golden Kingdom & Plaza del Carnaval a la what was done for Knott’s Fiesta Village/Kings Island’s Adventure Port/Carowinds’ Aeronautica Landing/Kings Dominion’s Jungle X-pedition. This is moreso about adding new theming elements, but adding new rides to these areas would be welcomed too!

An actual replacement for Rolling Thunder. Whether it’s another woodie (perhaps something like Bobcat, a layout that would contrast Toro’s intensity) or that fabled B&M Giga, just put something in a space that’s been (mostly) empty for over a decade!

An actual on-site hotel. Savannah Sunset Resort wasn’t a terrible idea…but why would you build a boutique “glamping” experience first (and make it top priority over opening a roller coaster/completing ride refurbishments)? Something like Carowinds’ SpringHill Suites by Marriott or Cedar Point’s Express Hotel would suffice. Also, provide shuttle service to and from the park for guests.

I’ll update this if I think of anything else, but enjoy my ramblings!

You know how there’s been talks of Cedar Fair and Six Flags merging into one company in the past, but it never went through?

Yesterday seemed like another instance of that. As expected, coaster enthusiasts made jokes about it— but very few saw it as an actual possibility.

Cedar Point really was like “If Top Thrill Dragster was so good, why haven’t they made Top Thrill Dragster…two!” for the re-name.

(Meme aside, the reimagining looks like a fun experience! I’ve only been on Ka so when I eventually fet to Cedar Point it’ll be interesting to see how different TT2 is, especially after this re-imagining.)

So there’s rumors going around that Nitro at Great Adventure is getting a new color scheme and new name/theme for the 2023 season. While the coaster itself isn’t gonna change, the thing that I’m most upset about if the rumor is true is having to redesign my personification for Nitro.

Being a coaster personfier is great until the park rethemes a coaster and now the character design you’re attached to has to change @_@

I'm a traditional artist, photographer, and creative writer. The majority of my posts and reblogs are about roller coasters (including personifications), but I’m also into western animation, cats, some video games, lost media, retro technology, and robot combat!

I do have a few rules to read BYF:

3. Don’t draw my characters in s3xual situations or as part of hate/propaganda art.

4. Don’t beg me to draw something, esp. if it’s a OC or OCniverse I’ve “shelved”. I don’t do requests!

5. Credit me if you make fan-content of my characters (and show it to me too)!

6. Let me know (in DMs) if I said something that offended/upset you, and we will sort things out from there.

7. Do not RP as or “face-claim” my OCs without asking first.

Spoilers for the season finale of BattleBots! Don’t click the “read below” if you haven’t seen it yet!! There will be MAJOR SPOILERS (as in, I say who won the championship!) if you do, so go watch the episode!!!

Congratulations SawBlaze, that final fight with HUGE was epic! Despite the controversies (by which I mean Riptide), I think overall this season was great— the changes to the rules/format (i.e. crabwalking is allowed, no fights are relegated to YouTube) really helped to improve BattleBots.

But with all of that said…Minotaur 😭

If they weren’t hit in the batteries, maybe they would’ve survived + turned things around. Alas, SawBlaze is their hard counter; they’re perfecly designed to take on a bot of Mino’s size and shape.

But if Mino had to lose to anyone, losing to the champ isn’t a bad way to go out— and Mino refused to back out until the fire forced it to.

Hoping we get (at least) one more fight from the bull in BB Champions or in an exhibition match— but if not, I’ll be waiting for Mino and Team RioBotz to return in Season Eight.

And just as I did this season, I’ll happily root for them to win it all 🤎

So…If that whole thing about Tumblr being ran by a “skeleton crew” (and in “maintenance mode” from now on) is true, I’m on other websites under the same username if this place shuts down. The stuff I post and/or reshare is the same as it is on here— the biggest change would be that my story “drabbles” (currently under the ‘techystory’ tag) would be posted to Toyhouse.

TBH I dunno if this thing is entirely true/how quickly it’ll affect this site, but just in case….
