Someone rightfully pointed out (ages ago) that this became much more common once they started designing earphone jacks out of phones, stopped selling the earphones with the phone and made everyone reliant on expensive easy-to-lose battery-powered alternatives that are a fuckinh pain. Ah, the forgotten romance of sharing earphones with your crush 💔

We failed as a society when everyone stopped wearing headphones.
