Between 1978 and 1993, Peter Bochynek organized community events with up to 400 participants in the Mattlerbusch Revierpark. A combination of party, music, communication, community experience and political education was the intention. These events were popular, successful, peaceful, non-destructive and popular under the catchphrase “Tennen-Party”. Unfortunately there is hardly any documentation on it. With the end of his political mandate in 1994, the series of events was discontinued, to the regret of all visitors. With the emergence of techno culture from around 1988, forms of events developed in parallel, some of which came close to the above-mentioned ideals and offered Peter Bochynek the advantage of immersing himself more intensively in night life without the stress of being an organizer, more often than twice a year. 

From 1993 Bochynek occasionally managed to capture this life in photographic images. This was difficult for several reasons: The camera should be extremely small, because you wanted to celebrate, too, the photography should not attract attention, never annoy the partying and under no circumstances should it look professional. The Minox GT35 was the choice, but at the time, with 400 or 800 Asa (push), the films were actually not sensitive enough for shooting with the available light. Most of the photos were therefore out of focus or, because the exposure was longer, the exposure was partly sharp and partly out of focus from several light sources, and the camera was seldom held perfectly still by the hand-held picture. From today's point of view, this results in pictures that, despite their difficult accessibility for the viewer, convey the vibrating mood of that time more appropriately than the technically good pictures, some of which are available. The selection of photographs in this article is analogue recordings with 35mm-film that have been digitized using a film scanner, i.e. digitized analogue recordings.
