Desert fivespot, desert calico, Mojave desertstar. (no sé los nombres comunes y iNaturalist no dice.)
desierto, desierto, desierto.
Sigo derecha, me detuve de nuevo asombrado.
Las flores continuaron. Todo por al Valle Panamint.
Solo de girasoles y creosota ahora. No otras flores.
Pero ellas eran hermosas.
El desierto de Mojave está a menudo una extensión monotona.
Pero este año, la primavera llega en otoño también.
maybe I'll try writing a little bit in extremely broken spanish to practice, like, composing thoughts about stuff I'm thinking about/my day-to-day? interaction/corrections/reblogs/talking extremely welcome. it's for learning

NY Times Laments Loss Oof California's Lefty Bullet Train: ‘Can America Still Build Big?’
NY Times Laments Loss Oof California’s Lefty Bullet Train: ‘Can America Still Build Big?’
By Clay Waters ~
California’s new Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has made liberals crestfallen by conceding to fiscal reality and scaling back the massively expensive and delayed high-speed rail project meant to connect Los Angeles with San Francisco. But Monday’s New York Times didn’t quite frame it that way: “California Curtails a Rail Project, Undercutting Dreams of Building Big.” The online…

Southern California as Seen From Apollo 7 by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center Via Flickr: This view of southern California was taken by the Apollo 7 crew during their 18th revolution of the Earth, on Oct. 12, 1968. Photographed from an altitude of 124 nautical miles, the coast of California can be seen from Point Mugu southward to Oceanside. Santa Catalina can be seen below the off shore clouds. Details of the Los Angeles area are obscured by pollution which extends from Banning westward for 100 miles to beyond Malibu. In the upper portion of the photograph can be seen (left to right) the San Joaquin Valley beyond Bakersfield, the Techachapi Mountains, the Sierra Nevada, Owens Valley, Death Valley and the Mojave Desert. Apollo 7, which launched on Oct. 11, 1968, and was nicknamed "The Walt, Wally and Donn Show," was the first crewed Apollo mission to launch. The mission demonstrated the capabilities of the Command and Service Module, mission support facilities' performance during a crewed mission and Apollo rendezvous capability, as well as the first live TV broadcasts from space. Canceled! California’s Billion Dollar Boondoggle Train
Canceled! California’s Billion Dollar Boondoggle Train
By Craig Rucker ~
The billion dollar boondoggle train no one wanted to ride appears to have reached the end of the line.
California Governor Gavin Newsom announced yesterday that he was terminating former Governor Jerry Brown’s pet Green project; a high speed bullet train connecting Los Angeles to San Francisco.
California’s new Governor was candid. “Let’s be real,” he said, “the current project…
