DreamWorks Trolls
Branch: Troll Of The Wildglade
Chapter 9: Call Of The Night
In Trolls Brotherhood AU, after Branch is injured by David Kane/The Black Manta, while they were rescue by the Alpha Sapphire, Harriet healing him for his strength, Poppy remembered she got punished by her father for touching the elephants and caused a chaos, in the Wildglades. Branch remembered his mother comfort him, since he was a baby, since his father's sacrifice himself to save his family from threat. Warning: this is going to be violent, blood and gore.
That night, Branch had a little trouble sleeping inside his tent, especially when he's hearing a scream from the other trolls, he walked out of the tent. He walked slowly, he saw the trolls scream in horror, the dogs barking at them and the forest were set on fire.
The troll: No! Please! (cried out in a desperate tone as the wolf dug it's fangs deep into his throat.) AAHHHH!
Branch: No...no,no,no,no...this...this can't be happening! (looking up at Dante Reyes and his hunters captured the trolls, and cutting down the forest.)
Dante Reyes: OHHHHHHHH! Troll, it's time to destroy the trees and burn down the forest. (The forest were captured in flame, Branch gasped)
Bounty Troll Hunters #1: We found him! (The trolls screaming in terror, their hairs turned white as they running in horror, Arthur Slugworth and his partners used their butterfly nets, they're caught them, grabbed them and they put them in a giant maroon bag.) They're in the bags.
Troll #1: No! Don't hurt us! Please! Don't hurt me! Please!
Troll #2: Please! I don't want to die!
Branch: Let's them go! (Opened his eyes, tears streaming down his cheeks as he looked up at Ignacio in horror, Ignacio Carapax with an evil smile, his eyes wide and breath heavy.)
Ignacio Carapax: (clapped his hands with an evil laugh) It's the only way...
Alder run to see him, he is captured by Dante Reyes with his knife. He stabbed his head, he then pulled his knife out of his head, he threw him at him, the dog sunk it's fangs deep into his throat, the dog growling fiercely as Branch indeeply is shocked to see his mother and his grandmother are found dead.
Branch: Mom! Grandma! No! Please, no! You are a monster! You killed my mother and my grandmother! Just my father! (The hunters laughing wickedly, he sobbing in fear, before everything faded to back.) NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Branch: AHHHH! (screamed as he jumped up in his tent, sweat pouring down his face as he panting heavily, looking around himself in complete panic...) It...it was just a bad dream. (Sobbing, his heart still racing in terror from the nightmare he had just woken up from.) He then walked out of the tent. As he climbed up the fence and watch Sky, flew going back and forth and all around wildly.
Branch: Hey, bud. You might want to see me, and calm me down now. People are trying to sleep, you know, (Sky grunted and looked at him) What's the matter, Sky?
Poppy: (opened her eyes and getting up by looked at him and his dragon friend) Don't remember me from before? (they heard Gloria recognized about the Wildglades, Dr. Ferrier warned everyone about Reyes and his hunters will burn the forest down to ashes. Branch gasped and his heart still racing and shivering in his fear of the fires. The brothers looked at him as he scared and they were worried about their father's sacrifice during the attack and the fires in the forest)
John Dory, Spruce, Clay and Floyd: Branch?
Floyd: We heard you scream from your tent, and why are you scared? (Branch sobbing) Oh no!
Spruce: You dreamed of that's man who kidnapped us in our home and I was very sad about Dad's death.
John Dory: WAAAAAAAAH!
Everybody walked and see the brothers comfort him and they see Abacus Chunch arrived in the tent, he brought an Hokkien psychic medium nun who nun clothes named Joyce Reynolds and her Egyptian British assistant Alessandro Longo, who wears black suit with navy blue belt around his waist, they see Airazor flew in the camp and see them and introduced herself.
Poppy: (her jaws dropped) Who's are you?
The brothers: (their eyes opened wide) What's are you?
Airazor: Very good question, but my name is Airazor, I am a Maximal warrior and I will protect the nature from harm. Clay, that is your brothers, John Dory, Spruce, Floyd and Branch, since your father's sacrifice himself to save all of you and your family, the Maximals and I saved you and your friend Viva, they were children, we met them in the forest during the fire cause explosion and a madman was killed in the fire.
In the flashback, Clay and Viva ran out of the bag, he see his father's sacrifice himself to save them from the hunters.
Young Clay: Papa! (Viva grabbed his arm and run, the wood twitched down, they scream and then Optimus Primal threw the wood over it and Hernan Reyes groaned in pain, Cheetor raced down and Airazor grabbed them and they escaped from the forest as they can.)
Teenage Dante Reyes: Dad!
Past Hernan Reyes: Dante, you have to go!
Airazor: (Baby Branch crying and wailing in fear, they got out of the forest, Dante and the hunters get in the jeep and then the fires cause explosion and Hernan Reyes scream and groaned in pain, by burning him to ashes. Thorn panting heavily in his injury since he sacrifice himself to save them from the hunters.) Your father defeat him, until he died from his injury since you were a babe, you three were children. Was your grandfather's land and your father spoke up for his last words in his dying wish.
Past Thorn: This is my home. This was my father's land. This is my land and my sons will rule it when time comes! And his children will for generations to come! We'll protect it and our family with our lives. Never...come...back!
End of the flashback, Branch knew that land was his grandfather's passing to his father as the new leader, before he died, since he was a baby and he lost his father and he is in his heart.
Branch: I understand how you feel. You would have love it there. Guys, we would love it there. There's miles of untouched land, fresh air, food, and water to enjoy, the sun shining all day, the stars ever so clear and brightly though the nights, and kind creatures all around. The Wildglades is our home. Ever been there?
Floyd: Since, Clay found us, since we were captured by Dante Reyes and his hunters take us to the arena, a soldier almost hurt us and Branch got injured by David Kane.
Branch remembered when he was a month old, his mother had told him the story about the creatures, she'd ever known.
-Flashback-
Ivy: Why are you still awake? (standing in the doorway of Branch's room. A month old baby Branch was in his cradle.) Well, I have a cure for that: a story, (walked down and carried him gently while sitting on her chair.) And this one is true. Long ago, in olden days, the forests surrounding our village was visited by herds of one of the most sacred creatures in the world: the dragons, dragons are majestic and great. While most creatures would easily come towards you without worry, but only special dragons will choose very special people to be their partners. (Branch cooed and opened his eyes, giggled) Because I was one of those people choose by them. I had a dragon for a friend, or should I say, we were family, his name is Phoenix and sometimes, he's so fast it's like he's flying with the wind itself. His scales was bright and orange like the sun. His horns and tail, scarlet like the scorching blaze and piercing blue eyes. I've known him since he was a baby and we've grown up together the death of his mother. (Branch cooed) One night, Phoenix's herds was attacked by invaders and his mother was killed as a result. I was there that night and managed to protect him until your grandfather Oak came to our rescue, sending the enemies away. Since then, we've been together, riding every day and feeling the wind in my hair every time we rode. It was the sheer joy of freedom that we cherish the most when we ride, but nothing is more precious than the bond of our family. (Branch cooed and giggled) Of course I do. I love him very much, just as much as I love you, your brothers, your father and your grandmother. You see, my son, as we've reached adulthood, Phoenix has received the call of the wild and freedom while I received another call: the call of love. While he longed for freedom, I've set Phoenix free because that is how he should be. We said our farewells and he went home to his herd as its leader. I miss him to this very day, but I have my life and he has his.
Young Floyd: Mommy, what are you telling about dragons?
Ivy: Of course, Floyd but actually I did. Once more. I saw him again years later after marrying your father. It was before you were born, while you were born while you, Branch and your brothers were growing inside of me and your father, since the day we met.
Young Clay: MOMMY! There's a monster in my bed and it's going to eat me. (Ivy, Floyd, and Branch gasped, Ivy with a heart warming smile, and she comfort him when she tells stories about a dragon named Phoenix. John Dory and Spruce yawned and talk to their father, Thorn smile proudly makes and take them back to beds. They continue with the story.)
Ivy: When John and Spruce were little trollings, I was pregnant with Clay, your father, your brothers and I were alone until Phoenix appeared before us, but he wasn't alone. He brought his whole family with him.
Baby Branch: (happy smile and giggled) Mama, haha!
Young Floyd: Did he had kids? (Branch cooed)
Ivy: At that time, he had two and one on the way, he has a son, the oldest and strongest. He's a ginger dragon scales with dark brown horns and tail and brown eyes. He's the one who represents Phoenix the most. I called him Blaze. And his daughter, Misty,is the smartest. Her scales bluish grey, a teal horn and tail, and green eyes. With her pelt blending in the mist and fog, she can avoid being detected from enemies. And his mate, a beautiful, elegant dragon with white scales, horns and tail were cerulean with teal streaks, and blue-green eyes. I called her Bella for her beauty. Seeing Phoenix and his family has brought me hope of the family, after you and Clay were born, I was pregnant with Branch, seeing Phoenix and his family has brought me hope of the family I will later on and I did moment of my life. Well, that and after marrying your father. After that, I've never saw him again, but I am sure that he's happy with his herd, freedom, and family. God want all of us to send us all to be freedom from threat. (she rubs her nose with his, making them giggle. She then kissed his forehead.)
Floyd: Goodnight, mommy, goodnight, Branch. (Branch yawned and closed his eyes, he's fast asleep, she put him back to his cradle.) I love you.
Ivy: Love you too, (she sang a lullaby for her son)
-End Flashback-
The brothers sighed, thinking of their home and their mother and their grandmother waiting for them, and Branch saw the water of reflection, about their father.
Branch: Father, I know you're out there somewhere. We truly miss you and everyone also back home. I know that this place is better than the arena, but it still isn't home.I wish you were here so Clay mentioned you sacrifice yourself for saving us from the hunters' attack and the fires that we can see you, we were captured by Dante Reyes and his hunters, we were rescued by Clay, Viva and their friends at least one more time. (hopefully as he felt weariness taking over him.)
Airazor: Your father, he is up in his heavenly home, was your grandfather's land call The Wildglade. He live in you and your brothers and you see him in the water of reflection. (Branch gasped and looked up to see the sky, the clouds appeared to shaped like his father's spirit.)
Voice: (echoing) Branch...
Branch: Huh? Hey, I'm not sure but I have a feeling that you won't hurt me. (raised his hand and petted his nose which he purred in result. But then, Branch took another closer look at the dragon and his colors rang a familiar bell in his mind.) Phoenix? You're my mother's dragon, aren't you? Am I suppose to get on you?
Voice: (echo) Branch... (his eyes widened at the soft voice, the warm light of the sun falling exactly over him, some sort of aura around him making him look angelic.
Branch: (gasped and smile) Father? Father! (The brothers looked at their father Thorn who is a spirit of the Spirit World.)
Floyd: (gasped) Father, is that really you?
Spruce & Clay: (gasped) Dad?
John Dory: Daddy! (With his tears of joy)
Spirit Thorn: Oh Branch, boys, my sons. I am here.
Branch: But how?
John Dory: Daddy, we missed you! (Sobbing)
Spirit Thorn: Well, after I sacrifice myself, against Henan and his hunters to destroy our home. After I died from my injury since I became a spirit of the Spirit World. The hunters led by Henan Reyes' son Dante Reyes.
Branch: What!
Floyd: Father, you're watching over us, Clay saved us from harm, we got beaten by a soldier.
John Dory, Spruce and Clay: How?
Spirit Thorn: And I've missed you as well. But, I am happy that you are here now. I've watched over you five and your family and how you've grown since then. You boys come so far from the innocent little boys you were to the proud, strong, and brave warrior, you will take my place as the new leader of Glade Clan by to defeat Talons Bounty Troll Hunters and they will be peace with the humans. Does she have a name?
Branch: Her name is Poppy, she looked very depressed and she live in her bunker, I try to make her smile, and we been to train to defeat Talons and we will be peace with the humans and the forest will be safe. (The brothers looked as he disappeared from the night sky.)
Spirit Thorn: Will you sing for me, my sons? I want to hear the angelic voice you are so gifted with.
Branch: Dad, it would be our pleasure. Just know
Floyd: Father?
Clay: (sobbing) Where is he?
Spruce: (started to cry and sobbing)
John Dory: Daddy? (Sobbing)
Spirit Thorn: But you will be strong and you boys will be brave. Your mother and your grandmother are back home, waiting for you boys. But most of all, I'm always with you boys, even when you boys can't see me. I'm here.
The brothers: We know that now.
John Dory: Daddy?
Spruce: Dad?
Clay: Dad?
Floyd: Father?
Branch: Father, we love you.
Spirit Thorn: And I love you, boys, forever and always.
The brothers gasped for air and noticed they're back inside the tent. Branch placed his hand on the face and felt wetness from the tears he had shed. Poppy looked at them, he took a deep breath to calm himself down and wiped his tears. Harriet heard a spirit came from the outside, Noah, Elena, Tej, Roman and Ramsey saw Branch sobbing, since they see their father for the first time since his sacrifice and death, they were still depressed at the thought of his leaving. A South Korean man named Han Lue who wearing a navy blue suit with a black belt around his waist, she talked to them about the Wildglades, Elena puts blanket on them. Harriet talk to them until morning.
I hope this is going to be next chapter, our family passed away from their illness, old ages and others. They are in our hearts.

“Look, this doesn’t have to be the end of the world-”
“Oh but it fucking is,” Louis said, shaking his head. “How the fuck am I going to tell Matt I’m pregnant with a baby when we’ve not had sex in months? He might be a bit thick sometimes, but he is gonna know there’s no chance this baby is his.”
“You don’t have to, uh, tell him it’s mine, right?”
Louis scoffed. “Why, are you scared he’s gonna come and kick the shit out of you?”
“He wishes,” Harry laughed, looking back down at the test. “Shit, I … I can’t believe this. Louis, I didn’t mean for this. Honestly. It was just sex for me. We have great sex, and I didn’t see why I should have to turn that down, not when you clearly wanted it as much as I did. I didn’t want this to end in a baby.”
Louis knows he shouldn’t be sleeping with his boyfriend’s enemy. He knows that. But there’s something that draws him back to Harry over and over again. Falling in love wasn’t part of the plan...
Thou, Sun, Art Half As Happy by @lululawrence
[Louis/Harry/Nick Grimshaw, 7k, Not Rated, tumblr post]
Hello, I’m sorry if this isn’t a post that is allowed on this channel, but I was hoping for the best since it is regarding a photography project I’m working on at the moment. I’m working on a set of sunrise kiss photos and therefore am needing a willing kissing partner. I’d hoped to be able to provide one for myself, but it hasn’t panned out, so here I am! I was hoping to find someone here, since I know most of you (at least peripherally) and can generally vouch for you not being creeps. Plus this way I know you will understand needing to continue to tweak the camera settings and reshoots etc that others might not.
Anyway, I’m looking for someone who identifies as male or male-ish (sorry, ladies) who is between the ages of 18 and 40. I’m a 29 year old male-ish myself, for those who would like to know before replying.
If you’re interested and are free the early morning of August 7th and would like to kiss in the sunrise with me for the sake of some (hopefully) interesting and fun photos, let me know via DM and I’ll give you the location.
OR the one where Louis needs a kissing partner, two show up, and it all might turn out for the best that way.

[Louis/Harry, 4k, Teen & Up, tumblr post]
“I don’t know if it was a nightmare,” he confesses to the ceiling, the darkness making it easier to speak up even when he still has to close his eyes to stop himself from tearing up. “It feels more like a memory. But it can’t be.”
Harry shifts, and Louis can feel his chin perched on his chest, doesn’t need to look at him to know that Harry’s studying him. “Why?” He prompts, when Louis doesn’t immediately continue, and Louis swallows, tries to shrug off the apprehension, the fear that Harry will think that he’s gone mad.
“Because I heard them pronounce me dead.”

[Louis/Harry, 2k, Explicit, tumblr post]
Louis comes home from work with an exciting surprise. Daydreaming and celebrations ensue.
this is my jam by @disgruntledkittenface
[Harry/Louis, 4k, Mature, tumblr post]
The guy’s eyes are so blue that Harry can’t tear his gaze away, even as he moves to the beat. The searing light shade is magnetic; he finds himself leaning in and yelling, “This is my jam!” only to earn a laugh from thin pink lips that Harry’s definitely going to be dreaming about tonight.
“Your jam?”
When the guy yells back over the music, his blue eyes sparkling and his lips twisted in a smirk, Harry’s chest literally puffs out with pride at earning his attention. His obvious approval. Tongue-tied, Harry nods and closes his eyes as he lets go, the music reverberating around them. All of the usual inhibitions that keep him in the corner at parties fall away and he bounces around the center of the dance floor, waving his arms above his head. Somehow his towel stays on, even as he starts to think he wouldn’t mind if it fell off. Fuck it. He finally made it here, he’s damn well going to enjoy it.
Harry goes to a gay bathhouse for the first time. 90s AU.
I Know My Arithmedick (2 + 2 = 4sum) by yeah_alright / @uhoh-but-yeah-alright

Harry wants to watch Louis fuck someone else. Louis loves giving Harry what he wants. It’s simple math, really.

[Louis/Harry, 3k, Teen & Up, tumblr post]
When Joan has to move out of her small, nice home and in with a random roommate, she obviously brings her dog/boyfriend, Doug, with her.
Doug makes a friend. And maybe more.
I Heard You Talking by @lululawrence
[Louis/Harry, 10k, Not Rated, tumblr post]
It had been an hour of their noise that Louis had been dealing with, and for some reason the fact that these grown men were being this rowdy in the quiet carriage over a game of Uno was the breaking point for him. He stood up and turned around, making his way down to where the group of five were somehow gathered around a table.
Louis stopped at the table and cleared his throat, mouth open and ready to politely request they keep it down when the man who was sitting with his back to Louis turned.
He was stunningly gorgeous.
Blinking a ridiculous number of times in an attempt to pull himself together, Louis coughed and spit out, “This is the quiet carriage.”
God, he was nearly forty and that was the best he could do in front of a set of pretty, green eyes?
Or the one where Harry is famous and Louis doesn't have a clue. Good thing his son is able to help him out.
All That You Need by @haztobegood
[Louis/Harry, 2k, Explicit, tumblr post]
Pre-heat was always one of Harry’s favorite times to spend with Louis. It was a time to rest up and indulge in extra cuddles, like basking in a ray of sunshine before having to dive off the deep end. Louis lavishes him with tender touches and soft kisses. Harry wants to savor this time as long as possible. The unquenchable need will come later, but for now, his desires are simple. He just needed to be closer to his alpha. As close as possible.
sickly sweet fonding by amomentoflove / @daggerandrose
[Louis/Harry, 1k, General, tumblr post]
A few members of their crew start piling up the dirty dishes and taking them over to the sink. Harry walks around the cameras, and smiles brightly at Louis.
“What do you think, Lou? Do I have it in the bag?”
Louis eyes a bowl of bright pink lumpy batter being cleaned from Harry’s side. “Of course you do.” He wraps an arm around Harry’s waist and steers him away, all while ignoring the dramatic gagging Niall is doing. He doesn’t think it’s just the batter making Niall gag.
or the one where Louis fonds over Harry's horrible baking skills
Fractured Moonlight by amomentoflove / @daggerandrose
[Louis/Harry, 1k, Mature, tumblr post]
Louis huffs because he doesn’t want to deal with this. “Listen, I appreciate your concern.” He doesn’t. “But it’s not your duty to look after the sad man at the bar. Okay?”

Camp Infinity is the perfect place for a lot of things; hiking, swimming, sports, eating, and falling in love. Harry Styles is a bit too familiar with the last one from his years of being a camper. This year things will be different. He’s 21, a grown man now, and ready to see Camp Infinity from a different point of view; working as a lifeguard. However, his whole summer turns upside down when a familiar British lad makes his return into Harry's life.Or the one where Harry is a lifeguard and Louis is the head of recreation. And, sometimes, you just need a little push to realize what was right in front of you the whole time.

tread lightly on my ground by fairytalelights / @lookslikefairytale
[Louis/Harry, 20k, Explicit, tumblr post]
No, that's the tragic part of this, the part that makes Harry feel like the universe is playing a cruel joke on him. The father of his baby is exactly right, exactly who he always imagined himself having kids with. He just imagined them married, bonded. Happy. He didn't imagine them barely talking, tip-toeing around each other because neither of them is brave enough to talk about what happened between them. He didn't imagine the father of his child not loving him back.
or, the one where Harry is having Louis' baby, but Louis doesn't know it's his.
Getting a Head for Heights by @ladyaj-13 / LadyAJ_13
[Louis/Greg James, 3k, Teen & Up, tumblr post]
The problem is, Louis thinks Greg would be quite good to date, so it would really help if everyone would stop reminding him of that fact so he could unthink it. He’d be a gentleman, at least until Louis talked him out of it, and he’s funny and nice and hot and they’re both into music and football and drama. He’s also a freakish giant of a human, and the problem with dating is that sooner or later you have to stand next to each other.

Louis is an overworked bartender hoping to save up enough extra tips to buy a new air conditioner before he literally melts during a scorching NYC heat wave. Harry is the new neighbor that wakes him up by moving in his sole day off at 6am. An NYC enemies to neighbors to lovers AU featuring a rickety fire escape, the 2021 Euros, Lirry bickering like a divorced couple, and enough OT5 clichés to rot your teeth. (If Harry's pastries don't get them first.)

[Louis/Harry, 8k, General, tumblr post]
The first time they see each other is when they are toddlers, playing out in the yard. Louis remembers sitting on the perfectly trimmed lawn and getting yelled at for picking at the soft blades of grass; she remembers looking over, across the narrow but deep and wild river, and watching another little girl, out in a different garden, picking flowers for her mother.
She remembers carefully raising her hand and waving—her little heart beating hard in her chest, as if she had done something dangerous, something forbidden, even though back then she could not understand the true divide the River made amongst them.

The last thing that Dabi wanted to deal with right now was this stupid mission, but he knew that the faster he got this done, the faster he could get back to you. Not to mention it was important, at least according to Shigaraki.
Dabi had finished everything but his last task, the one that he needed Kurogiri for. After staking out this hideout for two days, they finally were ready to move in and get the supplies and get rid of the annoying competition. It was a smaller faction of villains, if you could even call them that. Low level thugs really. Shigaraki had given Dabi the orders of disposing of anyone who didn’t want to join the cause and to take the supplies they had been looting. It was a simple mission. The only problem was that this particular location wasn’t exactly hidden in the ghetto’s of Japan. This group had set up shop using a soba shop as a cover. A restaurant that was a little too out in the open for Dabi’s liking.
It was late, almost closing time, no one was out in the street except one or two stragglers leaving work for the night. Kurogiri had stayed with Dabi, ready to move in, for the last hour and a half. Both of them watching from the shadows to make sure the coast was clear. With a swift nod from Dabi, they both moved in.
It had taken only a couple minutes, Kurogiri warping the supplies out first, allowing for Dabi to wreck havoc on the members of the opposing group with his fire, Kurogiri returning quickly to help finish everyone off.
They only had one person left, a sobbing mess of an omega who was desperately begging for his life, chirping wildly.
“Can’t we just kill him? He’s making so much noise.” Dabi was over this. He just wanted to get out of here.
“No Dabi,” Kurogiri sighed, exasperated by the annoyed alpha. All he had done was complain the entire time. Kurogiri wanted this mission done with as soon as possible so that the hormonal alpha could just go back to his omega and calm down. “They could have information as to where the rest of the group is hiding, this wasn’t everyone judging by your reports.”
“Fine, then let’s get them out of here before every alpha in a five mile radius shows up to save the day.” Dabi rolled his eyes, turning to Kurogiri only to be shoved out of the way just in time to avoid being trapped in ice, a grumpy looking half and half brat glaring at the trio from 30 ft away.
“Hero’s are on the way, I would suggest giving u-“ The two toned eyes went wide, sniffing the air a growl releasing from his throat. “Why do you smell like her..”
Dabi could feel a smirk forming on his face. Hero’s were on the way huh? He better make this quick.
“Kurogiri, get the omega out of here. I’ve got this one.”
“As you wish.”
Once the two alpha’s were alone, they started to circle each other. Dabi had wondered how long it would take for your precious little alpha to finally show up. He was shocked it had taken the brat this long to track him down.
“Where’s daddy at little kid? I don’t think you should be out this late on a school night”
Ice narrowly grazed dabi’s cheek, he was faster than the little twirp, he had more experience, it didn’t change the fact that the youngest Todoroki had a stronger quirk.
But Dabi’s fire burned hotter, and he knew just how to get under his littlest brother’s skin.
“You know, for the son of such a strong and prominent alpha, you really don’t know how to protect what’s yours.”
Ice shot forward on Dabi’s other side, caging him in place, slicing his leg open, a thin line of blood seeping out. Dabi barely felt it.
“Come on baby Todoroki, you didn’t think you could just leave such a pretty omega to fend for herself and no one would snatch her up, did you? You barely even scented her, Did you even want her?”
“Shut up!” The younger alpha growled, steam coming off of his body as he fought to keep the fiery temper at bay. He needed to trap the villain. To get him to talk. To get him to tell him where you were. He felt like such an idiot, thinking you had run off on your own, finally escaping his horrible father. He had hoped you had used to market as a distraction, running off to start a new life somewhere where no one knew you belonged to the Todoroki family, where you could finally make your own decisions. Instead he had let his guard down, and you had been caught by the league of villains of all people. He couldn’t even imagine how awful they had been treating you this entire time. He wasn’t even sure you were alive. He couldn’t think about that right now, couldn’t let himself consider that option.
“Where is she!”
“Probably warming my bed, waiting for me to come home and show her what a real alpha is like.”
Shoto unleased the flames, melting the ice around him as he lashed out at Dabi, a snarl ripping through his throat. Dabi easily dogged, taunting him as his own flames manifested as well, easily over taking Shoto’s as he fought his way closer to the younger alpha.
They finally were right on top of each other, both of the alpha’s throwing their fists into the other, using their quirks to their advantage. Shoto wasn’t used to this close of range of fighting, not the way that Dabi was. Still he managed to hit Dabi in his jaw, using ice to harden his fist. The impact split apart the skin on Dabi’s lip, bruising his already purple toned skin immediately. Dabi had a feeling he was going to look rough after this. Still he pressed on, gripping the young Todoroki in a headlock, briefly reminiscing on a time where he had done this exact move on the younger boy in a playfight as kids. Shoto attempted to use his right side to freeze Dabi in place, but Dabi’s fire was burning too hot and it was all Shoto could do to regulate his own temperature as not to get burned. The ice was just melting too quickly.
Dabi pressed a little harder on the younger male’s throat, just wanting to cut off his air supply enough that he would black out. He didn’t want to kill his little brother, but he couldn’t just walk away either. His alpha was antagonizing him, enticing him to show the other alpha just who was stronger.
“She’s mine now, little Shoto.”
Kurogiri warped back in front of the two alpha’s, ready to warp Dabi out of there.
Shoto’s vision was just starting to go dark when the sound of a radio chirped, screaming sobs slicing through the air, hushing everyone. You sounded completely and utterly terrified. Broken. Shoto expected you to be calling out for him, to beg him to come and save you, but his name wasn’t the one you were calling out for.
Dabi dropped Shoto faster than he had ever moved in his life, lunging for Kurogiri, grabbing him by the shirt snarling in his face.
“Take me to her, NOW.”
Shoto barely got a breath into his lungs, forcing himself to his feet, running at full speed towards the warp desperately trying to get to you. He was too slow, the two villains disappearing into the night like they were never there. Leaving Shoto bruised and a little bit charred, a broken howl leaving his lips.
He was going to find you, and he was going to save you. Like the hero you deserved.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dabi was warped into the room to find you caged down underneath Compress, his dick out, ready to push into you, his alpha’s fangs pressing just above your empty bond mark ready to bite down. Compress didn’t even have time to react, Dabi immediately setting the entire room up in bright blue flames, the most vicious of snarls leaving his lips as he gripped him by the shirt yanking him off of you and shoving him against the wall.
Compress was screaming, the fire licking against his skin, as Dabi held him by the throat, squeezing the life out of him, slamming his head repeatedly against the wall. Kurogiri stepped in as quickly as he could, barely separating the alpha’s causing Dabi to lunge at him as well, only for Kurogiri to warp himself and Compress out of the room.
It took Dabi several tries to get the fire to go out, the adrenaline in his veins forcing his alpha on edge making him loose control of his quirk. One look at your battered and half naked form, zooned out like you were on drugs had him loosing it all over again as he let out a string of curses. It was only when he saw the edge of the fur blanket that was peeking out from where you had drug it under your form while searching for the walkie-talkie was on fire did he finally get a control on his temper, smothering the fire. He’d have to get you a new blanket. Hell he would have to get you a whole mansion filled with blankets to even come close to making this up to you, and he would, he would do anything.
He dropped down to your side, petting your hair back from your face his hand shaking, watching as tears streamed down your blank expression. Your hair was matted with blood, and it seemed like the wound wasn’t stopping. He needed to get you medical attention. He knew in cases like this he needed to keep you awake. You probably had a concussion.
He lifted you in his arms slowly, careful to keep from jolting you too much as he spoke down to you, desperately wishing for a response.
“Y/N? Can you hear me? Come on baby talk to me.”
You were still breathing, though it was shallow. It took a couple seconds but you eyes fluttered and you looked at him, the most dazzed expression on your face, your voice barely a whisper.
“Touya? … I had the weirdest dream..”
“Y/N hang on, stay awake for me princess, it’s okay, you’re okay.” He brushed away the tears on your face, glaring up at the camera shouting for Kurogiri to get his ass in here before turning back to you.
“You had died…. And I got kidnapped…. And then…” You’re voice broke, and your eyes fluttered shut again. He had to keep you awake.
“Touya it was a nightmare.”
“No, no no no, Don’t go to sleep yet, princess come on wake up.” He wasn’t sure if you could hear him anymore.
“Kurogiri!”
You let out the smallest of whimper’s. He knew you were in pain, he couldn’t do anything about it right now though. He didn’t have the key to get out of this room. If Kurogiri didn’t hurry the fuck up he was going to kill him.
“Touya...please don’t leave me.”
“Never, princess, never again. I promise. Please just stay awake a little longer. Please.”
Finally, Kurogiri warped back into the room whisking the two off you out of there and straight to Dabi’s room at the compound, your slack body being carefully lowered onto the bed, covering your half naked body with the remainder of the singed fur blanket. The two males immediately getting to work on wrapping your head and treating your wounds with the medical supplies they had. Dabi knew it would probably be best if you went to a hospital, but there wasn’t any way to get you over to one.
He pulled his phone out, sending a quick text to the only healer he knew that might work with them. They weren’t reliable, and often charged ridiculous prices, but he didn’t care. They were the best chance he had right now.
You had grown unresponsive and he was stressed out. The alpha inside half begging him to fix the situation, half demanding he go find Compress and finish the job. Still he stayed by your side, watching your even breathing, checking every couple minutes to make sure your pulse was still strong.
After about ten minutes his phone went off, the healer advising of her location so Kurogiri could warp her here. As soon as she arrived the hot headed omega let out a string of curses in her native tongue of russian, getting up in Dabi’s face angrily.
“How could you let your omega get hurt like this you dumb oaf.” She turned away from him, turning her attention to the passed out omega in the room. The blonde haired Russian eye’s immediately softened as she looked at the beat up omega. Her hands reaching out soothing the hair on the your head, before she carefully rolled you over, unbandaging the gash, placing her hand above it, staples shooting out and closing the wound. She quickly and expertly wrapped your head back up before moving the blanket and peeking under it, eyes turning to Dabi with rage.
“What were you doing that got her hurt?” Another string of curses left her lips and Dabi held his hands up in surrender.
“I didn’t do this, Anna! I came back and fucking Compress was trying to force her into a bond! Fucker is lucky he is alive right now!”
This placated the Russian slightly, instead of ripping Dabi’s head off she shoed him to turn around, along with Kurogiri while she pulled back the blanket, searching your body for any other issues. When she pulled your shirt up a soft gasp left her lips causing Dabi to turn and look. Your stomach was bruised purple. He had hit you with something. Dabi guessed his cane. The sight of it made Dabi’s temper rise up all over again, the room getting hot.
Finishing up the Russian turned back to Dabi after covering you again, a frown on her face as she looked at the alpha.
“She’s not bonded? I thought you said she was yours?”
Dabi looked sheepish for once, scratching his head as he looked down at you.
“Not yet…Is she going to be okay?”
“She will be fine… probably confused out of her mind when she wakes up. She might have a little bit of memory loss, but if what you say is true.. I don’t think that will be a bad thing. The staples should do their job and help speed up the healing and numb the pain.. let’s get you patched up too while I’m here.”
“Don’t worry about it, Anna. I just want help for her.”
“Well I’m not leaving until she wakes up. So sit down and shut up while I patch you.”
Dabi sighed nodding at Kurogiri that it was okay to leave the room. Sitting down on the edge of his bed carefully, stripping himself of his shirt and rolling up his pant’s leg to show off what cuts and bruises he had obtained in his earlier fight. None of them were bad enough to need the use of her quirk, but she still used her medical kit to patch him up just the same before moving on to check on the already existing staples on his body.
“She’s pretty… are you sure she’s here willingly? I don’t know what omega would want to be with you.” Dabi could hear the teasing in her voice and ignored the question. He didn’t want to explain himself to the other omega.
After she finally finished checking everything she gave him back his shirt, taking a seat across the room in one of the two chairs that Kurogiri had brought in for them, pulling out her phone and responding to a message which Dabi assumed by the smirk on her face that it was from her Alpha.
Dabi watched your sleeping form for a couple minutes, just wanting to pull you tight in his arms, but he didn’t want to hurt you on accident, so instead he just sat in the other chair, pulling it close to the bed, leaning his head down on the blanket gripping your hand lightly rubbing your knuckles between his fingers. He wouldn’t leave your side, not again, not with you like this.

“I’ve never written an artist, never felt the need to, but I felt that I had to this time.  I had to let you know that you saved my life.  I don’t say this to you lightly, or in metaphoric terms.  I mean it literally, as straight up as a person can say it to another person.  You saved my life.  I live alone six months out of the year, and without your music on this one particular day, I would not, in all honesty, be writing you today.  I would be dead.
On december 7th, 2011 I woke up in my bed, in my house, that sits on a 5 acre farm in Ontario, Canada.  I had been dreaming, and in the dream I was digging a grave.  My father, who is still alive, asked me “Why are you digging a grave?”  My response was, “I’m good at digging graves.”   Unsatisfied with my answer, he asked again, “But why are you digging it?  What for?”  I stopped and said, “Because Sisco is dead.”
I’ll have to explain.  My father breeds German Shepherds, or at least did many years ago.  Sisco is our Alpha male, a large, pure black German Shepherd that resembles a wolf more than he does a dog.  When I said that he was dead in the dream, I became confused at saying it because I knew that he was fine.  So in the dream, I set down the shovel and followed my dad to the barn.  He opened the door and out came Sisco, bounding around me, barking and playing.  Healthy.
At that moment I woke up, my heart racing, and I knew something was wrong.
I went down into the basement and put on my cold gear.  As I said, it was December, and this is Canada.  Usually when I leave the house the dogs begin barking at the sound of the basement door closing.  That day there was nothing welcoming me on my familiar morning walk.  I could only hear the styrofoam crush of the snow under my -40 rated boots, the swish of my cold suit’s legs rubbing together, and my own breathing.
When I opened the barn door and flicked on the light that buzzed as it warmed up, I looked to my right, into the first kennel and Sisco was laying there still in that way that no living thing can mimic.  I called out to him, but I knew before I touched him.  My dog was dead.  At this point I didn’t believe I was awake.  “I must still be dreaming,” I thought.  I let the other dogs out, watched them, let them back in, and went about my chores.  There are chickens on my farm, too.
After a while, after the shock of what was happening and the grogginess of sleep had worn off, I understood this had really happened.  I’d dreamt I thought he’d died, and now I woke to find he was actually gone.  It was unbelievable, so operating on some strange coping mechanism, I took a shovel and walked out beyond the barn, further into the 5 acres and found a spot to dig a grave.  As I worked, breaking the top layer that was thankfully not too frozen, I thought about Sisco and how the day before he was fine and gave me no reason to think he was ill.  He played, and barked, and ran as he, I admit, hadn’t in such a long time. It wasn’t in his nature to play, he was dutiful, a protector, a friend.  A wave of intense deja vu crashed over me as I dug.
At 4 feet I stopped digging and returned to the barn.  I brought our wheelbarrow close to Sisco’s kennel and placed a lining of straw in it. He being a large dog, 95 lbs or so, I struggled with his body and lay him down in the wheelbarrow.  I left the barn with him, tears filling my eyes as the rhythmic squeal of the wheelbarrow’s tire bearing played against the steady pulse of my footsteps on cold snow.  When I reached the site I lined the cool, dry, sandy grave with straw, then lifted Sisco from the wheelbarrow and began lowering him into the hole.  I slipped a bit as I knelt, his weight too much for my arms.  I dropped him and he lay at the bottom of the grave awkwardly.  I couldn’t leave him like that, so I reached further down and some how managed to turn him.  I knelt at the edge of the grave, and stared at him, his nose to his tail, a peaceful, Fibonacci spiral of forever sleep.
I had no words then, only memories.  So I spoke my memories to him.  I asked him if he remembered when he first came to this farm as a pup, how father brought him into the house as a surprise.  How he followed me around the yard tirelessly, his pink tongue lolling, a white patch on his chest that was eventually swallowed by the darkness of his black coat but could still be found if you parted the fur.  And if he let you.  I asked him if he remember how when I started university when mom and dad began taking winter sabbatical to their home in the Philippines, leaving me to mind the farm on my own, I would come home and be paranoid someone was in the house.  I asked if he remembered me getting him from the barn and going into the house through the basement and us checking all the rooms as a team until I felt safe.  I told him that if he didn’t remember, that I did.  That I would always remember him.
I cried more at that moment than I had in a very long time.
When I was able to pull myself together, I told him that I loved him and began the grim work of filling the grave.  A few minutes into it, I felt a pain flash across my chest.  “Great, I pulled a muscle,” I thought.  I got up from my knees and walked over to a bench we have out there that we sit on when we watch the dogs play.  I sat on it, and realized I couldn’t get comfortable and that I was short of breath.  I pulled my hood back because at this point I was very hot and uncomfortable.  At that moment I realized I was sweating buckets.  “I’m overheating,” I remember thinking, my vision blurred a bit.  My heart was racing, I could feel it pounding, along with the muscle I’d thought I’d pulled.  I thought, “I’ll just lay in the snow to cool down, I just need to relax.”
My brother, August, earlier that summer had put me onto your album Nostalgia.  We had not spoken in a while, him being very busy with work.  But when we talked he said I had to listen to your music, that he was sure I would love it.  I remember when I first played Strawberry Swing.  I was in the garage, just about to work on my 95 pathfinder, getting it ready for winter. I   remember being entranced by the guitar picking, I remember staring deep eye of the speaker cone the music was coming out of, the bass rumbling it to life.  I was instantly a fan.
So to relax, before I lay down in the snow to cool off and rest, I pulled my phone out of my snowsuit’s breast pocket and put on Strawberry Swing.  I lay down as the guitar was plucked, and closed my eyes.  Through that 3 minutes and 55 seconds, with my eyes closed, I saw my mother and father, I saw my girlfriend Alissa, and I recalled segments of the book I’d been working on for the past year.  This was it, my life was passing before my eyes, and here I was, laying in the snow, dying.  I didn’t know it then, but I was having a heart attack.
I don’t know what came over you, what made you add the alarm clock at the end of that song, but I owe you a great debt.  That sound, that familiar, nostalgic sound that irked me, shook me out of my falling into sleep.  It woke me, triggered something in me, something that said, “WAKE UP.  YOU’RE GOING TO DIE OUT HERE.”  All in capitals.  My eyes flashed open, I saw blue sky, wispy winter clouds, then rolled to my stomach.  I slammed my gloved fists into the snow, and somehow pushed myself to my feet.
The rest is inconsequential to you, and maybe if someday we meet, I’ll tell you the rest.  But suffice it to say, I made it to the house, called 911, was rushed to the hospital, had surgery, and lived.  I needed to tell you this, I needed you to know that your music saved my life.  Without your music, without your choice to put that alarm clock sound at the end of the song, I would’ve fallen asleep and never woken up.
In the past 6 months I have been resting, recovering.  In that time I’ve been working on my book and look forward to someday sending you a copy. Thank you, Frank Ocean.  You’ll always have a fan on a 5 acre lot in Ontario, Canada.
------
I had my heart attack 7 years ago today.  Ultra beaming from that touchstone in my life, I'm here still.  Tonight I'll be launching my book at the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto.  I wrote this letter so long ago, but never felt like I'd done anything enough to warrant sharing it.  I felt like I hadn't been using my second chance at life to it's full potential because of all the roadblocks in the way to publishing my book.  But today, today I feel strong enough.  Today I want to thank everyone and hug the world.  Today I feel big enough to send this out into the universe in the hopes that Frank Ocean reads it. If not, at least you guys will.  Wish me luck tonight.  It's going to be a big one for me.”

You Saved Me - Derek Hale x fem!reader part 9
-----------------
The shared pain of both might have been easier for Derek to handle, but as a human - it was taking everything I had to stay awake.
“Hey, (Y/N)!” Derek called, gritting his teeth at the movement in his wrists. I looked up slowly but my head dropped back down again.
“I’m so tired.” I hummed sleepily.
“Don’t give up!” He shouted, “You can’t. Because you didn’t give up on me!”
“Yeah,” I giggled, “I’m a real hardass, aren’t I?”
“Come on” Derek jerked at his restraints, “Come on!” My body went slack, and the last thing I heard was a loud rumbling roar cutting through the air.
The space I was in was empty, dark and clouded. The only thing was a purple glowing path. I started down the path, seeing people along the path, watching as I walked.
I saw my mom and Dad, they were worried looking around, soot and ash covered their faces and clothes.
“(Y/N)?!” Mom called.
“Sweetie, where are you?!” Dad shouted, keeping close to mom.
“I’m right here-” I tried to reach out to them but my fingers were zapped by whatever barrier was around the path. I pulled my hand back and looked at my fingers, the same glow from the path lit them up and slowly faded back to the color of my skin. I guess I can’t leave the path once I start. I walked further, realizing that what I was walking was a spiral.
The third familiar face I saw was Laura Hale. She smiled at me kindly, her eyes flashing red.
“Take care of Derek. He’s strong, but he needs someone to help him along the way. You need him too. That’s what mates do. Oh and tell him I said hi.”
“I will.”
Laura laughed under her breath, “It’s good to see you again, (Y/N).” She turned, walking away.
“Again? Have we…met before?” She was gone, a wisp in the shadows. All I could do was keep going.
In the middle of the spiral, there were two other paths that met there. I stepped on the connection and the paths brightened from a purple to a while. That’s when I realized that I had been walking on a giant triskelion, the symbol of the Hale family.
“(Y/N), come on, wake up.” I heard a voice called. I opened my eyes slowly, Scott was lightly tapping my face.
“Scott?” I whispered. He laughed, bending down to untie my restraints and helping me into a standing position. I leaned on Scott, blinked slowly, then finally looked around. The man who was sent in to torture us was on the ground, out cold. Looking around again, I saw Derek who had one arm out of his restraints.
“You gotta help me with this.” He motioned to the shackle. Scott helped me move over closer, leaning me up against the wall.
“No.” Scott said.
“What?” He asked, confused.
“Not until you tell me how to stop Peter.”
“You really want to talk about this right now?”
“He’s going after Allison and her family. He’s going to kill them.”
“So what!? We need to get her out of here.” He motioned to me. At that moment, the pain started up again.
“So tell me how to stop him.”
“You can’t! Alright, now!” Derek pulled on the shackle, “I don’t know when Kate’s coming back, just get me out of this right now! Get me out right now!!”
"Promise you’ll help me.” Scott was adamant, but he wasn’t usually this stubborn without a reason.
“You’re gonna risk our lives for your girlfriend, huh? For your stupid little teenage crush that means absolutely nothing?! You’re not in love, Scott! You’re sixteen years old! You’re a child!”
He nodded, “Maybe you’re right. But I know something you don’t. Peter said he didn’t know what he was doing when he killed your sister, right?” He pulled a picture out of his pocket, it was a dead deer with a spiral on its side.
“Remember this? This is what brought your sister back to Beacon Hills, right?”
“My boss told me, three months ago, somebody came into the clinic asking for a copy of this picture. Do you wanna know who it was?” Derek just stared.
“Where did you get that?”
“Peter’s nurse. They brought your sister here so he could kill her and become the alpha, and that’s why you’re going to help me!”
Derek gripped onto the shackle chain and breathed heavily. Clearly upset that it was true that his Uncle killed his sister on purpose, not on accident.
Scott turned around, “Just say that you’ll help me and I’ll help unlock your other-” He was cut off by the sound of the chain breaking Derek’s other restraint. His anger was running through him like wildfire and his anger lit the flame in me to keep going. He finally saw the truth.
Derek rubbed his wrist, "I’ll help you.” I smiled at him.
“Laura said hi.” I said softly. Derek inhaled deeply and nodded, licking his bottom lip. Derek took me in his arms, and we all went up out of the cellar and outside.
-
After walking a while, we made it to the house. I was walking at this point, getting some strength back. We had rushed out of the cellar in case we met Kate along the way. I felt the familiar terrible feeling in my chest and grabbed Derek’s hand. He looked back at me, and through the connection we had he understood.
“Hold on.” Derek stopped us all, “Something doesn’t feel right.”
“What do you mean?” Scott asked.
“I don’t know, it’s- it’s kind of like it’s-”
"No, no, no, don’t say ‘too easy’! People say 'too easy’ and bad things happen.” Scott warned, “What you think fighting was too easy? Getting away from Allison’s dad, none of this has been easy!“
"Fine. You’re right.” He said, I gripped his hand tighter.
“Phew.” Scott sighed. As the air left his mouth, a whistling sound preceded an arrow shooting through Derek’s back. My shoulder jerked, feeling the force of the arrow go through him. Derek fell to the ground, pulling me with him. Looking behind us, I saw Kate with her new protégé: Allison. Allison notched another arrow. As Derek stood again, another arrow shot through his leg. I cried out, going down with him.
“Scott! Your eyes!” Derek called, squeezing his eyes shut. Scott and I helped Derek to his feet, fighting through the gas that could knock all of us out. Another arrow whistled, this time the pain I felt in my side was real. I cried out, falling forward. Derek’s arm kept me from hitting the ground. We made it to an area where Derek could remove both arrows in him, and mine.
“Shit.” I cursed, pressing my hand to my side.
Derek stood, grabbing Scott by his collar, “Come on!” He pulled us to the Hale house, limping all the way. He eventually fell just in front of the house, shoving Scott and I ahead. I looked back, seeing Allison stalking towards us.
“Allison, I can explain-” Scott pleaded.
“Stop lying.” Allison’s voice held no emotion what-so-ever, “For once, stop lying."
Scott backed away as she got closer, "I was going to tell you at the Formal, I was gonna tell you everything. Everything that I said, everything that I did-”
“Was to protect me.” She finished.
“Yes.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Oh thank god, now shoot him before I have to shoot myself.” Kate groaned as she walked up on us, pulling a gun from her belt.
“You said we were just gonna catch them.” Allison said, the sight of the gun seemed to frighten her.
“We did that. Now we’re gonna kill them.” Kate aimed at Derek, shooting him as he lay helpless on the ground.
“DEREK!” I shouted, trying to move towards him, but Kate aimed the pistol directly at me, I backed away hesitantly. Tears streaming down my already tear stained cheeks. She turned the pistol on Scott.
“I loved those brown eyes.” Kate sighed, finger on the trigger.
“He’s just a kid!” I shouted, moving to get the gun from her when another voice entered.
“Kate!” The voice’s origin appeared from the shadows and there stood Chris Argent, “I know what you did. Put the gun down."
“I did what I was told to do.” She excused herself.
“No one asked you to murder innocent people. There were children in that house. Ones who were human. Look what you’re doing now, you’re holding a gun at a sixteen year old boy. No proof he’s spilled human blood. We go by the code. Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent.”
“We hunt those who hunt us.” Allison whispered. Kate still didn’t move her gun.
Chris pulled one on her, “Put the gun down.” He shot off a round, “Before I put you down.“ The gun he was using looked…so familiar.
“Whatcha doin’, daddy?” I asked, peaking my head over his work bench. Dad was etching a carving into the side of one of those guns mommy said I couldn’t touch because they were dangerous. He was drawing a pretty picture of a dog and the sun.
“Just something for a friend, sweetie.” He looked down at me over his glasses, “Now go run along.”
My father made guns for Chris Argent…
“Allison, get back.” Chris commanded. Allison, Scott and I moved away from the entrance of the house. Chris and Kate pointed their pistols towards the door.
“What is it?” Allison whispered, her voice trembled.
"It’s the alpha.” Scott replied. We all stood there, the tension in the air could have been cut with a knife. Allison pulled her bow, aiming towards the door. Scott shifted into his wolf form. I moved away from the group, with no weapon I just moved back, leaning against a tree. I felt at my side, blood still trickled down my side but now as much as it was before.
In a flash, something darted from the house, towards the group. Everyone scattered, nowhere to run. Allison made her way towards me, keeping her arm steady, ready to shoot.
Chris shouted, knocked off his feet, Allison and I were next. The impact of the fall worsened my wounds. Scott followed as Peter knocked us all to the ground faster than we could anticipate. Now it was just Kate who stood alone.
“COME ON!” She shouted in the dark, “COME ON!” In an instant, Peter was with her. He grabbed her wrist and shot off his gun as he broke her arm. She screamed in pain. His hand moved to her throat, throwing her towards the house. He flashed to her side, dragging her into the house.
“No!” Allison shouted.
“Allison, stop!” I groaned, following her inside. She didn’t realize what danger she was putting herself in, no matter how angry she was at Scott, she couldn’t take on an alpha werewolf by herself.
Allison stood in front of Peter who held his claws to Kate’s throat.
“She is beautiful, Kate.” He remarked casually, “She looks like you.” He pressed the tips of his claws against her throat, making her gasp, “But not as damaged. So I’m going to give you a chance to save her.“
Peter was shaking from his anger, “Apologize.” He commanded, “Say that you’re sorry for decimating my family. For leaving me burned and broken for six years. Say it. And I’ll let her live."
"I’m sorry.” Kate muttered, letting her pride slip away at the danger her niece was in.
Peter’s face did not move, her hands trembling as he quickly dragged his claws across her jugular. Blood spraying across Allison’s face. I watched Kate’s shocked face, the light going out of her eyes. Her body fell to the floor.
Peter sighed in relief, a smile on his face, “I don’t know about you, Allison but that apology…didn’t sound very sincere.” Scott appeared, standing his ground in front of Allison, Derek followed, both in the werewolf form.
“Run.” Scott said to us. Allison made it out but Peter blocked the door as I tried to follow.
“No, let (Y/N) stay. After all, this is her future.” Peter grinned, as I backed up towards the staircase. Scott and Derek circled Peter while he looked vaguely like he was enjoying the situation. They both growled and lunged towards Peter, but both were repelled away. Derek threw a punch, but was tossed up into a ceiling beam and thrown into a fallen piano. I fell against the stairs, feeling every impact. My ears were buzzing with voices: Mom, Dad, Stiles, Uncle Noah, Kate. I pressed my hands to my heart praying it would stop. Flashes of triskelions, my parents, and wolves appeared in my mind every time I tried to close my eyes.
Scott jumped onto Peter’s back but was instantly thrown off. Both beta on the ground. Seeing Derek and Scott there, looking up at Peter in fear just made something inside me scream.
I couldn’t remember moving over to them, but I stood in front of both of them, separating them and Peter.
“(Y/N), get out of here!” Derek shouted, his fear touching my new courage but not enough to make it waver.
“I’m not letting you hurt them.” I glared. Peter only laughed.
“Ahh, this was always something I admired about you. You have so much fighting spirit. But I’m afraid the fun is over.” He went to grab me, but was confused when my hand made it to his first. His wrist trembled to move, but only stayed put in my grasp. He looked from his wrist to my eyes, confusion spreading across his face.
Later, I would not be able to describe the feelings I had when this…snap finally happened. But it was like a dam went off inside of me, everything fell into place, and the wolf inside of me came to light.
In his shocked eyes, I saw the reflection of mine that burned bright red, “I said, I’m not letting you hurt them.” I kicked him in the stomach, sending him through a wall. My breathing was heavy, my gums aching as fangs grew. I looked over my shoulder at the two, both of them shocked.
Peter stood back up, cracking his neck to the side, “A surprise, I like surprises.” His voice became a disembodied growl.
Perhaps I got cocky, because I lunged at him again, but this time he got the upper hand. His claws ripping through fabric and the skin of my stomach, then tossing me through a window. I landed hard on my back, gritting my teeth together. I was pulled to the side by Chris Argent, he kneeled down, trying to hide the surprise on his face when he saw my eyes.
Peter grabbed Scott by the collar, lifting him through the air. I tried to get up again but stopped, this new wound from the alpha was making it harder for my body to heal itself. Scott kicked himself off of the alpha, flipping backwards. Peter stumbled back as Scott landed on his knees. The beast prepared to lunge at Scott again when everyone’s heads turned in the direction of a car horn. Jackson’s Porsche pulled up, Stiles and Jackson exiting. He ran forward, throwing a jar towards the beast. Peter caught the jar, growling towards him.
“Oh damn.” Stiles squeaked.
“Allison!” Scott called, throwing Allison her bow. She caught it, loaded and hit her mark. Glass breaking and Peter going up in flames. He roared, trying to put out the flames but because of the chemical reaction, they only continued to rage. He roared, making a final run towards Allison, trying to take her out with him. Scott got in his way, kicking him away. Peter was thrown back, falling on his knees.
Peter Hale fell to the ground, ending his murder spree the way it started - burned and broken. The only thing we could hear was his sputtering and coughing as his lungs fought for air.
“(Y/N)!” Stiles ran forward, hugging me tightly. I grunted as he put pressure on my wound but I hugged him back. I can’t imagine how worried he was, how worried he had been since this whole thing started.
“Wait!” Scott shouted. I pulled away from Stiles, seeing Derek kneeling over Peter, his claws raised. Derek stopped, looking back at him. Derek’s adrenaline was running wild.
“You said the cure comes from the one who bit you. Derek, if you do this, I’m dead. Her father, her family- what am I supposed to do?”
“You’ve… already… decided…” Peter choked out, “I can smell it on you…!” Whether Derek liked it or not, Derek had decided to kill him, finally closing the chapter of justice for Laura.
“Wait! No, no! Don’t!” Scott pleaded, but we all watched Derek slash Peter’s throat and Peter’s last breath slipped out.
“I’m the alpha now.” Derek’s voice was a growl, his eyes red. I started walking towards them when I heard Stiles gasp. He looked down at his shirt, seeing the blood stains that had come from my stomach. I looked down, still seeing the blood and now a black liquid had appeared.
“Well, that’s not good.” I swallowed and stumbled back into what felt like a brick wall. But it was Derek behind me, holding me up. Stiles rushed forward, but stopped short when Derek growled.
“Hey,” I slurred, slapping Derek lightly with the back of my hand, “Stop that. I just need to.. need to lay down.” I closed my eyes, slipping off to sleep.

In the Steel Steeds Heart
Chapter 16: Bloodmoon’s Dawn
Warnings: strong language blood/gore, body horror, dead bodies, fire
Summary: Heisenberg searches for Juniper the morning after the hunt.
Feedback appreciated. 18+
Tumblr media
Heisenberg trudged through the village. The sun had just started to rise in the pale dawn, the village trying to regroup after the Hunt.
He’d heard the gunshot, over the screams and howls. It made his blood run cold, fear and worry churning his gut into a mess.
The feeling didn’t leave him as he wandered the somber streets, the smell of blood and shit assaulting his nose.
But, above that, the horrid odor of burning hair and flesh rose with the wind. He rounded a corner to see a collection of men throwing bodies into a fire, the heat of it reaching his skin from that distance.
Most were Lycans, but there were a few dead and mangled villagers added to the blaze. Their fear of the dead turning spurred the villagers to burn both the creatures and the felled alike.
The thought of finding her on the pile….
He shook the thoughts away, trying to avoid the darkness that crept the corners of his brain.
He heard the wails of a woman, mourning a lost husband or son. He didn’t care to listen for details.
He continued along the street, looking into every fire for a familiar shape. His pale eyes scanning the charred bodies for anything resembling a varcalac alpha.
He sighed with relief when none were in the masses. Heisenberg had found her boots and coat discarded in the snow, her compass not far after. He deposited them in a safe location before searching the rest of the village.
The sound of bells echoed through the cold morning. He sneered, watching as the villagers began to flock towards the church. Mother Miranda, no doubt, was there to welcome them with promises of safety.
A few of the villagers stopped, falling to their knees before Heisenberg. Their voices were low and desperate mumbling for a mix or forgiveness and pity.
He reeled back a bit, before hurrying around them. He didn’t have time to waste coddling.
What he was looking for obviously wasn’t here anymore. He set his sights for the stronghold.
He walked the paths, over countless paw prints and bloody drag marks under his boots. The Lycans always retreated to the stronghold after hunts, to eat the dead they stole and to rest.
Heisenberg saw a few on the way, scrabbling around the rocks and tying up body’s for safekeeping.
The smell of gore was stronger as he entered the already opened doors, he could hear the creatures shuffling around within. If the villagers weren’t so fearful, they might have half a mind to torch this place.
He didn’t use caution as he strode through, the sound of his boots echoing off the ancient walls.
In a shadowy corner there was movement, something much bigger than a Lycan, and too bestial to be Urias.
He came forward, eyes adjusting to the darkness. His breath caught with relief: she was here and she was alive…
Juniper was still in her mutated form, laying bunched up along the old stone. Other Lycans and varcolacs were piled around, resting after the hunt.
Heisenberg stepped closer, seeing blood leak from a wound on her arm.
She raised her beastial head, a low growl coming from her chest.
“Hey now bitch, it’s me,” he lowered his voice, showing her his hands, “It’s Karl.”
She pulled her wounded leg closer, head dipping down. Her bloodied lips curled up as her wet nose twitched.
Sniffing at his offered hands, her hackles lowered.
Juniper leaned down and licked her wound gingerly.
Heisenberg knelt down by her, trying to look the leg over. It looked to be a bullet wound. Juniper’s tongue lathed it over, blood oozing out of the hole as soon as she licked it away.
“Got caught?” He frowned.
He could sense the metal still lodged in the flesh.
He reached out and gently touched her muzzle. Her multiple green eyes flicked up to him as she closed her unnaturally elongated jaws.
He scratched the bridge of her nose, easing as he watched her close her eyes.
There was a pleased rumble from her throat as she nuzzled into the contact.
“What I have to do is going to piss you off.” He admitted, worry etching into his features.
“Hies….en…” her voice croaked out, distorted and garbled in her mutated jaws.
He smiled weakly, “Yea, Doll. It’s me.”
“H….urt.” Her eyes of liquid green looked into his.
He squared his jaw, feeling a thorn in his chest.
“It’s going to get worse before it gets better.” He focused on the metal. Being as careful as possible, he began to dislodge the bullet with his powers.
Her form tensed, muscles bunched under the skin. She made a sound of warning, baring her teeth.
He didn’t waver, his eyebrows bunching with concentration. Suddenly, with a wet sucking sound, the bullet came free.
Heisenberg released it, the metal tinkling against the stone of the floor.
Juniper’s pointed ears came forward at the foreign sound. She sniffed the bullet with interest.
“Now what will we do with you?” He sighed, “Did you eat anyone?”
Juniper stood, shaking like a dog before padding closer to him. Her large head nudged him, causing Heisenberg to fall back on his butt.
She snuffled his shirt, pressing him down onto the stone.
He chuckled, trying to push her massive head away as her tongue came out.
She lapped at his face, her breath smelling of blood.
Heisenberg pushed her head to the side, “Damn, who's the nasty one now, bitch?”
She warbled pacing back into her spot, sitting down. Frowning, Heisenberg scratched his chin.
How to get her home?
He made a makeshift collar out of a piece of sheet metal folded in on itself, hooking a chain through it like a leash. Seeing her collared and chained sent a pang though him.
He frowned, his aggressive handling involving her throat still a stinging thorn in his mind.
He was surprised however how easily she followed the lead.
How much of her mind is left in this form?
He thought. Now that she was tired out and fully fed she was better behaved then the Lycans, padding after him as he led her out of the stronghold. The Lycans outside tilted their heads curiously as they passed.
Juniper’s back tendrils lazily flowed around her, like sea grass in the ocean current. They would sometimes bat into Heisenberg or disturb the snow covered branches overhead.
The trip back took much longer than expected. Heisenberg was forced to avoid the outskirts of the village entirely, making the way back longer anyways. Not to mention, in this form everything smelled new and interesting to Juniper’s sensitive nose. Heisenberg would get stopped every few feet by her shoving her face into a log or trying to scratch around in the dirt. It was akin to walking a large dog, he mused.
With the factory grounds in sight, his patience waned in wake of her most recent pit stop.
“Buttercup, you are really pissing me off.” He hissed, yanking on the chain. She whined, looking at him dejectedly as she padded up beside him.
Her head shot up, sniffing at the air. Her ears perked up as she looked towards the factory excitedly.
Heisenberg chuckled, “Yea, we’re going home.”
Before he could brace himself she went tearing off towards the factory, almost ripping the chain from his hands. He was forced to take a full run to keep up with her.
When they got to the fence he let go as she scrabbled over the top.
Falling off onto the other side with a thud, she looked at him expectantly.
The gate rattled open, as he walked through. He paused to ponder what to do with her now. He had hoped she would have changed back during the journey over, but her mutated form was locked in like a tick. She was also filthy, caked in a layer of blood and grime.
He led her to the back of the factory, practically having to push her onto the larger elevator. This was saved for when he had to transport larger scrap into the underbelly. But she should fit fine.
He took her to base level four.
Once there he hooked the chain to the wall, positioning her over some grates. She tugged at the bonds until she heard the sound of a faucet turning.
He came back brandishing an old rubber hose.
“Let’s get you cleaned up.” He said as he pointed the nozzle at her.
Heisenberg hosed her off, blood and mud washing away. The dirty water trickled away through the metal grates she stood over.
After he shut the water off, Juniper stood dripping and shivering. Her mane of dark curls, heavy and waterlogged, she resembled a drowned sheepdog.
“K-Ka….rl?” Her monstrous voice eked out. She pulled her twisted legs closer to herself as she shivered.
He frowned, “Yea, Yea…I know the water was cold.”
She gave a small whine like a dog, looking down.
“You should dry off soon, it’s warm here.” He soothed.  He made sure the ventilation system kicked on, forcing dry air though the lower sections of the factory.
He heard a hollow clinking sound, spinning around to find Juniper’s jaws biting at the large pipes. She pulled at them, shaking her monstrous head a bit.
“Hey!” Heisenberg shouted, “Don’t eat my shit!”
One of her many eyes flicked over to him as she continued.
He stomped closer, hearing a growl from deep in her chest.
“Hey!”
She paused for a moment, peering at him before starting to tug at the pipe again. He pulled on the chain, causing her to stumble back a bit with a whimper.
“Juniper, stop it!” He scolded her like a dog. She huffed.
He noticed the tendrils on her back began to recede, pulling into the bubbled flesh. Her scar also looks less angry.
Seeing her safe and starting to calm gave him time to think. Questions pooled around his head:
Miranda had to know Juniper could turn…but why was she testing the limits of it? Did she want to use her as a weapon or was it just more of her sick curiosity?
He didn’t know, but it made him feel sick. He hated seeing Juniper like this, twisted and bloodthirsty.
Seeing her start to get even a shadow of control over this form brought him some relief. If she could control it fully she’d be much less of a danger to herself.
Was it hunger related? Or just moon patterns, maybe?
The bloodmoon had definitely affected her much more deeply than any moon faze had prior. He scratched his beard, deep in thought.

Note
They kidnap reader / fem / omega of alucard / alpha, when it is in heat, then alucard goes after his kidnappers and saves you, a lot of blood and sex.
Most people know better than to fuck with what belongs to Alucard
Even an old pen is safe if it belongs to him
Your scent permeated through the entire manor, making every other alpha hot under the collar
No matter how badly they wanted to go after you, they knew better
Alucard would rip them to shreds if he caught even the slightest scent on you
He knew you were in heat, but unfortunately he had to go to work
It was painful to leave you there, his pants felt so unbearably tight
You whined as the door to your room shut behind
The promise that he’d return and turn you inside out was the only thing keeping you sane
You curled up under the blankets, making yourself a little nest where you could wait for him
Sleep was all you could think of to occupy the time, but you were way too horny
His smell was still present on the pillows and covers, you buried your face in them to keep you calm
That helped you a little, but you never did fall completely asleep
That’s why when someone pulled you from your bed, you were already half awake
You tried to fight them as they dragged you away and into some truck, but your heat had made you weak
They took you to a warehouse and tied you to a chair then they set up a camera in front of you
Meanwhile, Alucard was dealing with the aftermath of the raid
All the stragglers had been dealt with, he was now assessing the damage and trying to figure out what their goal had been
The men he killed told him nothing, they did a good job of keeping their plan a secret
The majority of them had come in through the front, but he suspected that was a diversion
He was calm, until he saw the boot tracks heading toward your room
Dropping everything he ran to check on you, when he found the door ajar he lost his shit
“Y/N?!” He yelled as he ran in, nearly tearing the door off its hinges as he pushed it out of his way
The room was a mess, it was clear they’d taken you
He knew then that the attack at the front was nothing but a diversion, you were the real target
On the nightstand was your phone, when he picked it up he saw several missed video calls
When he called them back, he was met with a video of you tied to a chair with several cuts and bruises on your face
“Finally! We were wondering when you’d figure it all out,” a voice came from behind the camera
You looked up, giving Alucard such a pitiful look
“So, I suspect you have some demands for me?” Alucard began
“Clever vampire, we need you to kill the surviving members of the Hellsing organization, in return we’ll give back your omega,” the man explained
“How childish, you went through all that trouble, and my poor y/n had to suffer.”
“Are you saying you won’t do as we say?”
“Of course not.”
“Well then that’s fine, you’ll come around I’m sure, and while we wait I think we’ll play around with your omega. She’s in heat, we’ll help her deal with that,” the same said, reaching out and grabbing your head
You yelped, his fingers digging into your scalp
Alucard hung up, unable to stand another second
He would have no trouble finding you, when it comes to you he’s a bloodhound
It only took him a few minutes to get to the warehouse
It took even less time for him to kill everyone guarding the doors
The room you were in was off to the side, more than likely an old office
He kicked open the door and found you surrounded by a group of men
When Alucard hung up the phone they quickly moved in on you, reaching out to take handfuls of your hair or attempting to kiss you
Some of them were alphas but they did nothing for you, their scent was nothing compared to Alucard
Seeing those men with their hands on you pissed him off to no end
He opted not to use his guns on them, instead he ripped them apart with his bare hands, wanting to make sure they suffered
You watched with growing excitement
He always looks so handsome and powerful when tearing people apart
When the final man fell, Alucard was covered in blood and breathing heavy
He was already worked up because of your heat, the fight added even more heat to the fire
You whimpered, trying to get closer to him but all you did was tip yourself over, falling to the floor at his feet
“Look at you, my poor neglected omega. I could smell you before I even walked in here, you must be in so much pain~” he teased, bending down to free you
The men from before did nothing for you
There were several alphas among them, but compared to yours they were worthless
Even when some of them exposed themselves you felt nothing, all it did was make you want him more
As the ropes fell from your sides, you quickly attempted to climb up Alucard’s body
Your hands desperately reached for his belts
All you could think of was him finally taking you
“Fuck, y/n. I need to bury my knot in you,” he said, lifting you up as soon as you had his pants unbuckled
Your pants were quickly pulled out of the way as his own fell to his ankles
There was no need for foreplay, your legs were dripping
Several drops fell onto his cock as he adjusted his grip on you
“Get ready,” he laughed in your ear
Without another warning he entered you, easily slipping inside thanks to your arousal
You shouted for joy, burying your head in his coat
There was so much you wanted to say, but your mind was too preoccupied
Drool dribbled out from your mouth, creating a wet spot on his chest, but no worries, he thought it was adorable
You bounced up and down from the force of his thrusts, forcing you to fall back down onto his cock and push it even further inside
His swelling knot spread your entrance slightly, not having enough force to fully slip inside
You wanted so badly for him to hurry up and put it in, but he wasn’t ready yet
“Please, please give me your knot,” you begged, tongue rolling to the side
“What was that my little omega?”
“Please, knot me. Alucard, my alpha I need you,” you cried
With a satisfied grin, he pushed you up against the nearest wall, using it to help him insert his knot
That heavenly feeling of being stretched flooded into you before it finally popped inside
“Yes!” You screamed
The added girth was too much, you came, squeezing hard on him which in turn finished him off
He bit your neck as he came, filling you as his knot continued to swell
As you two relaxed, he carried you over toward the chair and placed it upright
He set you down on the edge, holding you steady until his knot shrunk
While you waited, he kissed you, biting your lip and drawing a tiny bit of blood
Finally he got to taste something delicious, all the soldiers tasted nasty and sour
When he pulled out, his cock made a loud pop sound as the suction released, leaving you feeling so incredibly empty
You gave him your best puppy dog eyes and whined
“Don’t worry, your heat isn’t over yet. There will be plenty more chances for nights like these,” he said as he straightened himself up
He carried you out before the police could arrive and see the carnage
His shoes were a bloody mess, but it was nothing compared to the floor

Song I Wrote To: “Outlaws of Love” by Adam Lambert
Note: I can’t believe I have been writing this since AUGUST. Only one more after this and I think it is going to wrap up nicely. Enjoy a little down time before the big battle and yes, Maggie will make an appearance in the final part. Thanks!
—————
For as long as you could remember, you loved being up high.
You could remember climbing trees as a kid and jumping off the rope swing at summer camp as soon as school got out. Nobody in your family ever understood why you felt more comfortable off the ground, but the truth was, you felt safer there than down below.
No matter how high, it was almost as if you were untouchable, immune from the world around you. When the world ended, you found yourself searching for the highest points possible. It was exactly why you had decided to pick up a sniper rifle in the first place.
The guard towers at the prison, the top of the barn at the Greene farm, and even the old clock tower that once stood in Alexandria, were all your comfort places.
The tower you now stood in, however, felt more like a trap rather than a place of freedom.
Daryl, Michonne, and you had realized that with Negan declaring war on the Whisperers by killing Alpha, Beta would be coming for everyone with an even more vicious vendetta. Negan was docile when it came to the decision. He said ‘yes ma’am’ and ‘yes sir’ as he moved through the community. Nobody dared say anything negative towards him, but they weren’t praising him either.
They knew that no matter how he did it, Negan had saved more lives than not when he killed Alpha. The only one who was still dealing with the fallout of it all was Lydia.
As soon as Negan told everyone what he had done, Lydia had shut down. She still stayed with you when it was time to rest, but she didn’t say much. From all the time you were a teacher, you recognized the anger that she was feeling. You also knew that it was only a matter of time before she unleashed that fury on Negan.
Then, there was Daryl.
You couldn’t get a proper read on him and it was starting to worry you. Daryl was a smart man, but when it came to facing down an enemy at this caliber, he tended to get reckless. If he didn’t get it together soon, Beta would have the upper hand and you were not going to let that happen.
Beta had to die and you were going to be the one to do it, no matter what it took.
Looking out the window of the tower, you braced your hands on the window sill and waited for the horde to move in because you knew one thing for sure, Beta wasn’t going to stop until you and Negan were both dead.
—————
“Did you get any sleep?” Michonne asked Negan as she joined him against the wall as they watched the room before them.
“Not a bit,” he said. “You?”
“RJ snores like his father,” Michonne said fondly. “So, no, not much.”
“He’s a good kid,” Negan said as he watched RJ pet Dog who was curled at his feet.
“Yeah,” Michonne said with a sigh. Negan looked over at her, raising a brow.
“What’s up?”
“I can’t see how we get out of this one,” she admitted.
“And so you’ve come to me for comfort?” he asked with a snort.
“That’s what you get for playing hero,” she said.
“Nah, I ain’t a hero,” he said as his eyes scanned over to Lydia who was playing with one of the stray cats that occupied the building. “I’m just trying to knock some years off of my eternal damnation.”
“I didn’t peg you for the religious type,” she said.
“I’m not,” he said. “I’m just covering all my bases.”
“Do one of those bases include (Y/N)?” she asked. Negan sighed, leaning further back against the wall, crossing his ankles
“I don’t know why they even bothered to forgive me,” he said, rubbing a hand along his jaw. “I would have sent my ass packing.”
“Guess that makes them the better person,” Michonne proposed.
“Ah, well, that was never in question,” he said. “(Y/N) was the only thing that kept me going while I was out there. You know when Beta came back and said that someone with a sword had nearly ended him, I knew it was them and that terrified me. I always knew they were a total badass, but hearing how close they came to being gutted by that bastard…”
“I know that fear,” Michonne said. “There was a time during the war with your people that I thought Rick had died.” Negan was patient as she began to tell her story. “We were at this old fairground looking for weapons and we became overwhelmed by Walkers. We started to make a game out of how many we could get before the other,” she said with a small smile. “Rick climbed up onto this rickety Ferris wheel, taking aim with his gun. I was on the other side of the yard when the mechanism broke and he fell.
“I saw him disappear into a crowd of Walkers and as I ran towards him I saw those things tearing at flesh and blood. I remembered that I stopped breathing, unable to even comprehend what I was seeing. I had dropped my katana and everything was moving in slow motion. It wasn’t until I heard his voice calling my name that I knew he was alive. Rick had found a way to survive and then he threw me my sword and we fought together. I had never been happier to see him than at that moment.”
Negan smiled softly at that, thinking of the man as well. “Wait,” he said, “if they weren’t eating Rick…”
“It was a deer,” Michonne said. “He owed me one after you and the Saviors took the one I carried into Alexandria.”
“Ah,” he said. “Always the gentleman, huh?”
“Yeah,” Michonne said as her eyes were on her children. “ You know, I once asked you to do for (Y/N) what they were doing for you,” Michonne continued. Negan nodded, remembering.
“Not sure if I ever completed that task,” he said, thinking back to the night you lay in the infirmary recovering from the blizzard. Michonne had asked him to help you as you had helped him.
“I disagree,” Michonne said, surprising the man next to her. “I thought that (Y/N) needed to be coddled or helped through all this trauma, but I was wrong. They just needed a reason to fight through all the shit in their life. That reason ended up being you.”
“I’m not much to fight for,” Negan said casually.
“Since when do you see yourself like this?” she asked. Negan could tell that his sudden self-deprecating attitude was confusing to her, just as it was to Gabriel or Rosita.
“I guess,” Negan began, taking a deep breath. “I guess I just got tired of trying to be a somethin’ I’m not. I’ve spent too long actin’ as if I got my shit together when in truth, I’m just fucked up as everything else in this godforsaken world.”
“Ever think that’s just the way it’s supposed to be?” Michonne offered. “If any of us were completely sane or normal, we’d all be dead.”
“There’d be a lot less bloodshed if we were,” Negan offered, but Michonne was shaking her head.
“No, I think there’d be more,” she said. “Negan, regardless of what any of us have done, we have all believed in one thing.”
“What’s that?”
“That people are the future and in order to survive, we gotta start savin’ them. No matter what.”
--------
“Since when do ya hide from your problems?” Daryl asked as he approached you.
Standing by the window, you cast your eyes towards him. “Who says I’m hiding?” you asked.
“Negan’s out there trying to be helpful and you’re all alone in here waiting for a war,” he said.
“Isn’t that what we’re all doing?” you asked.
“Nah, I’m preparing for one, not wishing for it.” Sighing, you fully faced him. The new scars on his face were stark against his face and you knew that you didn’t look much better.
“All I want is Beta,” you said. “Then, this will all be over.”
“It will never be over, (Y/N). You know that and so do I. There’s always going to be another problem to deal with. The world doesn’t stop tryin’ to end just ‘cause we beat another enemy.”
“Remember when Walkers were the only enemy?” you asked.
“We all knew that wasn’t going to last long,” he said, bracing his hand against the wall.
Over the past year or so, you had begun to see Daryl differently. He was no longer just the right-hand or the hunter. He was now a leader and one that had stepped up to the role that Rick always knew he could be. There wasn’t anyone else that you respected more than Daryl Dixon.
You had grown into a new version of yourself as well. For a long time, it had felt as if you were the outsider, the one who never quite fit, but now that felt as if it was changing. You used to think it was Negan who was bringing out this new side of you, but the truth was, it was just you.
You had become stronger because you had always been strong and resilient, you just hadn’t allowed yourself to break through that shell.
“What happens now?” you asked.
“We fight,” Daryl said. “We may not all get out this, but we’ve never given up and we ain’t about to start now. I know you want Beta, (Y/N), but you gotta survive first.”
“You’re on his hit list, too,” you said.
“And if he comes for me, I’ll be ready,” Daryl said. You both were quiet for a moment, letting the stillness of the tower surround you.
“Aaron and Alden shouldn’t be out there alone,” you whispered.
“They know what they’re doin’,” he assured you. “I’m about to do a perimeter check soon.”
“Need some help?” you asked.
“Nah,” Daryl said, shaking his head. “You gotta stay up here. You’ve always seen better up high.”
“Maybe the thinner air will help me work things out,” you said with another sigh.
“Don’t think that just cause you want to forgive him, that you have to right now. You’re human, not a damn machine.”
“Have you forgiven Carol?” you asked.
“I ain’t turning my back on her if that’s what ya mean,” he said. You gave him a look. “Of course I forgive her. She’s my best friend, (Y/N), and if that stops meanin’ something then we’re all lost.”
“I lost my best friend,” you said, fighting back the lump in your throat.
“He ain’t completely gone,” Daryl said, tugging on the sleeve of the duster that you wore. Your hand slid to the pommel of your sword, too, feeling Paul’s memory in your mind. “He loved you and he always believed in you. Sasha, too,” he said and you closed your eyes at that. “I know ya still miss her like crazy. Next to Maggie, you were the closest thing she had to another sibling after Tyreese.”
“Maggie never saw it that way,” you said. “She and I… we were close once. Then, after Glenn… Maggie stopped coming to me. I always wondered if I did something wrong or if she blamed me because was one of the first people to agree with Rick about the satellite station. Whatever it was, our relationship was never the same and Sash got caught between.”
“Maggie has her own demons just as you have yours and Sasha had hers. You can’t compare them. That ain’t how it works,” Daryl said.
“Then how does it work, Daryl?” you asked. “In case you haven’t noticed, Maggie’s demon is the man that I fell in love with.”
“Negan ain’t the same that he was back then. Even I can see that the son of a bitch has changed. I don’t like to admit it, but what he did, takin’ out Alpha like that, that proved somethin’. He could have run when Carol let him out. He could have joined up with them and took more of us out, but he didn’t. Why? Cause he’s in love with you? Maybe. But I think it's more than that. I don’t think the bastard ever wanted to be what he was. He thinks so, too.”
“Is there a lesson in this speech, D?” you asked.
“Yeah,” he said, “get out of your damn head, stop thinkin’ about what Maggie would think, and start thinkin’ for yourself. We know better than anyone that the future ain’t always certain. There’s no time to overthink shit when you already know what you want. So tell me, what do you want, (Y/N)?”
It had been a long time since someone had asked you that question. Before, you would have brushed them off and made some lame joke about wanting to watch TV or go to a concert again. However, now, you didn’t feel the need to hide at all because you knew what you wanted and you were damn well going to fight for it.
“I want Beta dead, my family safe, and I want Negan by my side for all of it. I don’t care what people think of him because I love him and if that makes me some sort of outlaw within this group, so be it. Enid once told me that I have lost too much to feel guilty for loving someone and she was right. I love him, Daryl, and I am done feeling ashamed about that.”
Daryl nodded, standing up straighter. Reaching out, he laid his hand against your shoulder.
“Finally,” he said. “Finally, ya understand.”
“Understand what?”
“Yourself.”
---------
Negan had been dancing around it all day but he had to speak to Lydia.
He had seen her wandering around, playing with the cats or speaking with Carol. He wasn’t entirely sure what that relationship was all about, but it made sense for the two of them to connect. Lydia had loved Carol’s son. Negan had been worried about talking to the teen especially since she seemed to be avoiding you as well.
You had become like a parent to Lydia and Negan thought perhaps she had begun to see him like that as well. However, now, after what he had done, Negan wasn’t sure of anything.
Approaching her, he waited for her to look at him, but her eyes remained on the dirty floor. “Hey. I, um... I don't think you've eaten anything today,” he tried, feeling like an idiot.
“I'm good,” Lydia said dismissively.
“You know,” Negan continued. “I can't tell if it's just one of those things or the craziness of us all moving to an abandoned tower... or if you're just avoiding me.”
“I'm avoiding you,” she said plainly, causing Negan’s brows to rise quickly.
“Well, shit, that's honest,” he said.
“You want me to lie? Make you feel better?” Lydia said, getting to her feet and narrowing her eyes at him.
“No, I don't,” Negan said. “I’d rather you were always honest with me.”
“Okay. Well, then you can give someone else the rat stew,” Lydia said.
“It's not rat. It's possum. I mean, yeah, it is basically a big rat.” Lydia looked at him as if she was wishing he would just go away, but he had to say his piece. “Look, kiddo, your mom, I mean, she did some horrible shit and there's no excusing any of it, but there were things about her that were complicated. In some ways, I wish you could have seen some of the truth that I did. Maybe then you would understand why I did what I did.”
“We all know why you did it,” Lydia said.
“I know, but if there's something that you wanna say to me, then you should say it cause this whole silent treatment shit ain’t working.”
“Fine,” Lydia said. “Most of us wish you'd died, too.”
“Don’t you say that to me,” he said. “Not me. There was a time when you and I respected one another, when you would talk to me. Now I get that you’re pissed, but don’t act like you’re a founding member of my hate club cause you’re not.”
“You don't get to tell me what to do,” Lydia snapped.
“You're right, I can't. I am not your father, but I sure as hell ain’t your enemy,” he said.
“Then what are you, huh?” she said, getting angrier.
“I am trying to be someone who is there for you.”
“You tied me to a chair and left me alone in some swamp!” she hollered.
“To protect you!” Negan said before lowering his voice. “Your mother was going to kill you as some sort of animal kingdom ritual. I couldn’t let that happen.”
“I don’t want to talk about this,” Lydia rasped out.
“I know, I know,” he said, “but you gotta try to. You have to let this anger out. Otherwise, you are gonna drift further from these people, and I know you don't want that.”
“The hell do you know what I want, huh? Tell me. You're a selfish asshole,” Lydia shot at him. “You only killed her so they'd think that you're a hero. But nothing you do will ever make you that here! Because you only care about yourself.”
“That's not true,” he said.
“Right, I forgot that you wormed yourself into (Y/N)’s heart. Though, that may say more about them than you, huh?” she said as the tears began to well in her eyes. “Why do you even care?” she asked. “Why do either of you care,” she said. “You and (Y/N) look at me as if I need fixing.”
“Is that what you think? That we want to fix you? Jesus, Lydia, how could you think that?”
“I know you see her when you look at me,” Lydia said. “You see my mother in me.”
“I see the good parts,” he said with a nod. “You have your mother’s strength and resilience. No matter what she did with it, she passed that on to you and that means something,” Negan argued. “Lydia, you have to mourn her. You know, you need to say goodbye. Otherwise, it's gonna eat you up from the inside. Just trust me on this.”
“Good parts? How the hell can you tell me that there were good parts? I hated her!” she yelled, lashing out at him, hitting him in the chest. She breathed in a shaky breath, trying to control her anger, but she couldn’t. “I want to hate her, so screw you for telling me I can't even do that!”
“It's okay, Lydia,” Negan said as Lydia began to cry, her shouts of anger turning into sobs.
“No! It's not okay!” she said, hitting him in the chest. “It's not okay! It's not okay!” Negan grabbed her into a hug, holding her close to his chest so she couldn’t keep lashing out. Lydia quickly fell against him, clutching at him as she cried.
“It's okay,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “It’s okay.”
As Lydia sobbed in his arms, Negan held her and tried to make everything seem as if it was going to okay, but not even he could promise her that.
--------
It was well after Negan had calmed Lydia down that you found him at one of the watchpoints.
“Dianne, give us a second?” you asked the archer who nodded and excused herself. You sat down on an old crate and invited Negan to join you. He did, his bat settling next to his feet on the floor. You grabbed it, feeling its weight in your hands. Negan didn’t say anything as you examined the weapon, wondering what its namesake was truly like. “Lydia seems like she’s settled a bit,” you observed.
“She just needed to get it out of her system,” Negan said. “It’ll be a while before she’s better.”
“I know,” you said. “I remember what it’s like to lose a parent.”
“So do I,” he said.
“I’m glad you’re here,” you said, spinning the bat in your hands.
“Wasn’t plannin’ on being any place else,” he said.
II know,” you said with a nod. Looking over at him, you handed him back the bat. He took it from you and placed it back on the ground. “I was thinking about something earlier.”
“What was that?”
“There was a line in the letter that Carl left me,” you began. “It said, ‘stop trying to see everything through the scope of your rifle and start seeing what is right in front of you,’.”
“Sounds incredibly wise for him,” Negan noticed.
“Well, that was Carl,” you said. “That line has stuck with me since I first read it. I never really understood what he meant until his dad died and then more recently when you came home.” Negan was quiet, his eyes focusing on you completely.
“For so long I was trying to stay three steps ahead of everything,” you went on, “but I never took the time to match pace with anyone. I think that’s why it took me so long to realize that you and I are never going to be the perfect couple. We’re not going to be the couple that takes nightly strolls or agrees on everything. We are, however, going to be the couple that fights like cats and dogs and who are willing to risk everything for each other. I finally see that is what this,” you gestured between the two of you, “is supposed to be and I am sorry if you ever felt as if I was pressuring you to be someone you’re not.”
“You weren’t,” he assured you. “I was pressuring myself into not screwing everything up because you are right, we are not normal in any sense of the word. But you know what?” he asked, reaching over to take your hand. “Fuck normal. It’s so goddamn overrated anyways.”
“That it is,” you said as you leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.  He kissed you back before leaning his forehead against yours. “So, we can be not normal together, right? Cause I am not ready to go any further into this screwed up world without you.”
“You don’t have to,” he said. “You’re stuck with me.”
“Good,” you said, smiling softly. “I just hope we can do that without someone breathing down your neck with a weapon.”
“So do I,” Negan said with a soft chuckle. Suddenly, something dawned on you.
“Hey, do you have any idea what happened to Brandon?” Negan froze. “He sort of disappeared after you did.” Leaning back, he gave you a sheepish look.
“Well…” Negan began. “The little psychopath found me on the road.”
“Seriously?” you asked.
“He was some sort of ‘fan’ of mine, apparently. His old man was a Savior and he wanted to be just like daddy. Problem was, he was fucking crazy.”
“Go on,” you urged.
“We came across a mother and her son. I helped them and that’s when Brandon told me that he wanted to either rob them or kill them. A fucking woman and her kid…” Negan said, rubbing at his brow.
“What did you do?”
“Told him to get lost,” Negan said. “Tried to offer him some decent life advice, but it clearly didn’t stick. When I came back after looking for some firewood for the mom, Brandon had bludgeoned them to death with a tire iron.”
“The kid, too?” you asked, shocked.
“There was more blood on the ground than in their bodies, (Y/N),” he said. “So, I picked up a rock and beat in his skull before he could murder any more innocent people.” You were silent for a moment as Negan’s word resonated. Eventually, you just sighed and shook your head.
“Shit,” you swore.
“Yeah.”
“Fucking Brandon,” you said with a roll of your eyes.
“Fucking Brandon,” he agreed, but then was confused. “Are you not mad that I  killed him?”
“Why would I be? I’d have done the same thing,” you said. “You don’t just get to kill a kid in cold blood and move on with your life. Though, I am surprised that you let him tag along as long as he did.”
“You and me both,” he said.
“Were you going to tell me about that if I hadn't asked?” you wondered.
“Eventually,” he said. “I just couldn’t find the right time.” You nodded. “And I should have told you about a lot of things.”
“You’re talking about your deal with Carol?”
“Yeah,” he confirmed. “I know you’re pissed at me over that.”
“I am,” you said, “but if I can overlook everything else, I can overlook this.”
“I am so sorry,” he said.
“I know you are,” you assured him, rubbing his hand between yours. “You did it because you were doing the right thing. You should have told me though. I would have been on board in helping you. “
“I couldn’t risk it,” he said.
“You’re a moron,” you said.
“I know,” he said with a wink.
“And I really, really wanted to hate you when I saw you in that mask.”
“But you couldn’t,” he reminded you.
“Never,” you agreed. Negan smiled and then reached up and placed his hand on your throat, running his thumb over your pulse point.
“You do that a lot, you know?” you noted, gesturing to his hand. Negan shrugged.
“Your pulse calms me,” he said softly.
“Oh, and here I thought you were just into choking,” you joked.
“Don’t give me any ideas,” he warned and this time it was you that winked. “You know, we never did have make-up sex.”
“Now is not really the time,” you said, gesturing around at the chaos of the tower.
“Jesus, Teach, not now. What kind of man do you think I am?” you laughed, rolling your eyes.
“Like you weren’t thinking about it,” you said with a knowing look. Negan just shrugged again.
“Sorry, I just really missed you,” he said.
“What have you told you about apologizing,” you whispered.
“Habit,” he said back before kissing you again. When you pulled back, you took your face in your hands and then your right hand slid to the side of his neck, feeling his own pulse.
“He’s coming for us,” you said.
“He’s all yours,” Negan said. “I will make sure of it.”
Just as Negan was about to bring you closer, Gabriel ran into the room. “Gabe?” you asked, leaning back from Negan, but not letting go of him.
“The horde is coming,” he said, breathing heavy. “It’s time.” He then rushed from the room as you and Negan went to the window.
It was as if a tsunami was moving in, but instead of water, Death approached in the form of the largest herd you had ever seen.
“Negan,” you said, worried.
“I know,” he said, taking your hand in his as he beheld the sight. “Can you promise me something?” he said, turning you so you would look at him.
“Anything,” you swore.
“Just survive,” he said and you were reminded of something similar you had said to Lydia before the Hilltop battle. “I know what you are going to do and I will not stop you from taking your revenge on him, but for me, please survive.”
Reaching up, you took him by the shoulders and pulled him in for a hug. Negan buried his head in your shoulder as you took one last moment to be with each other before the fighting began.
“I promise.”
--------
As Beta moved through the horde, his guardians protected him as they always had, but elsewhere, a guardian in their own right read a letter sent from an old friend. As Walkers approached the tower, Maggie Rhee picked up her bow and went in search of her family.

The Notorious Alpha// Chapter One//Peter Hale
Tumblr media
A/N: I KNOW. I KNOW. I am terrible, but life has been a mess. With university, personal life and all that. My mom had the corona but she is great now. I am trying  to come back to writing.  I am really sorry guys. Merry belated Christmas!
The Notorious Alpha// master list.
Chapter one.
S02 E12- Master Plan
Zoe’s P.O.V.
I parked my new BMW X6, which was a gift from my father when he tried to get me to stay with him, in front of Beacon Hills High School to see my little brother and Stiles who is not my brother but after knowing him for his entire life, I am pretty sure he is my brother.
As I walk in the school hallways so many memories come to my mind, I mean it’s only been a year since I was a student here, I miss high school life was so much easier. I was late when I parked the car in the parking lot, some people were leaving, there was a lacrosse game tonight, Stiles took my ear off about it. I walked towards the locker room first to see if the boys were in there, as I neared the locker rooms I could hear talking.
“She is gorgeous,” a voice said.
“Shut up” I heard two different voices say at the same time and I am pretty sure one of them was Scott.
I leaned against the wall watching for a few seconds, and I decided to make myself known.
“Well, isn’t this a sight for sore eyes!” I say and in a flash four pairs of eyes snap to me. I see my brother, a cute blond guy beside him and to men in front of the boys.
“Zoe?” Scott said surprised to see me.
“Surprise, I guess?” I said a little bit weirded out from all the attention I was getting right now.
“What are you doing here?” Scott asked me.
“Stiles called me a couple days ago, filled me in on what's going on. I got a little tied up with dad or else I would have been here sooner” I answered “ I can’t believe you are a werewolf” I continued.
“Uhmm, who is she?” the cute blond asked.
“Zoe, my sister,” Scott said.
“Another McCall? Great,” the tall moody man said sarcastically.
“Tone down the sarcasm Cranky Pants” I bit back at him.
I glared at the man as I walked around him towards my brother. I am not going to lie, he is kind of hot.
“I am going to guess you are Derek and you are Isaac,” they both look at me weird, “as I said Stiles filled me in”.
“Hi,” Isaac said awkwardly.
“Hi,” I said sweetly to him, “so, who is the Cranky pants.” I pointed towards him as he glared at me and I sarcastically smiled back at him.
“That's Peter, Derek’s uncle. Little while back he tried to kill us all, and then we set him on fire and Derek slashed his throat out.” Scott explained.
“Hi.” Peter waved with a small awkward smile.
Tumblr media
“That's good to know,” Isaac replied.
I was too shocked to say anything, I mean yeah Stiles filled me in but only informed me about my brother being a werewolf, the kanima, and Derek’s pack. That is just too much to handle. I mean my brother took part in the murder of someone, werewolf or not, psycho or not, that is still a life. Not to mention the supposed murdered victim is alive, breathing, and standing  right in front of me.
“How is he alive?” Scott asked, still glaring at Peter .
“Look, long story short he knows how to stop Jackson, maybe even save him”  Derek answered him.
“Well that’s very helpful, except Jackson is dead” Issac says.
“WHAT?” I scream the same time Derek says what too.
“Yeah! Jackson is dead. It just happened on the field” Scott confirms.
Derek and Peter look at each other obviously bothered by the news.
“Okay why is no one taking it as good news?” Issac asks.
“Because if Jackson is dead, it didn’t just happen. Gerard wanted it to happen,” Peter says, and damn his voice is deep, mysterious and sexy.
“But why?” Derek asks his uncle to elaborate.
“Well, that's exactly what we need to figure out. And something tells me the window of opportunity is closing”.
“Peachy, just god damn peachy.” I say done with this whole thing already.
“We are going to the Hale House,” Peter says.
As we walked towards the parking lot, I could feel eyes on me from behind. I didn’t turn around though. When we reached the exit I started walking near my car, when I felt Scott stop a few steps behind me. I turn around to look at him.
“Well aren’t you gonna come? I am driving!” I tell him.
“I think you should go home” Scott tells me and I look at him with disbelief. “I will go with Derek,” he continues.
“Oh, so I am supposed to let you get in the car with the guy who turned you and tried to kill you and the guy who slashed his own uncles throat out? I am not crazy yet. ” I tell him seriously and am kind of angry. Derek looks at me mad, or offended I can’t really tell and Peter just looks uninterested.
“Zoe--” Scott tries to plead.
“No, puppy eyes don’t work on me. I am the one who teached you that look.'' I cut him off. “Now get in the car and let’s go”. Then I unlock my jeep and hop in, which is kind of a challenge since I am short and the stupid thing is 10 times the size of me.
“Do you need directions?” Derek asked me when Scott got in the car with me.
“No, I am good. I know where the infamous Hale  house is,” I replied and with that my car roared into life and I backed out of my parking space. “Don’t get left behind Sourwolf”. I saw Issac try to hold back a chuckle and even Peter let out a small smirk slip out of his hard façade.
Tumblr media
As we walked into the Hale house ( Derek got his ego bruised ‘cause I beat him here) Scott was looking at his,
“Oh. Oh they found Stiles.” Scott said relieved.
“I told you I looked everywhere,” Derek said to Peter who walked towards the stairs.
“You didn’t look here”, Peter says and crunches at the beginning of the stairs and takes something from underneath a step.
“What is that? Α book?” Derek asks/
“No, it’s a laptop. What century are you living in” Peter replied with sarcasm. Derek rolls his eyes at him. “A few days after I got out of the come, I transferred everything that we had. Fortunately, the Argents aren’t the only ones that keep records.” Peter says. He got up and walked towards a table. Suddenly Scott's cell phone rings.
“Hey, Mom, I can’t talk right now.” Scott answers the phone. “What's wrong?” he asked. After a few seconds he hangs up the phone and announces that we have to go to the hospital. “ Isaac, Zoe, we have to go to the hospital.”
“I don’t think I should come with. I haven’t seen mom yet and I don’t think we should reunite over a dead body” I say to him. “ Take my car, I’ll stay here to see if I can help” I look at him as I extend my hand to give him the car keys. “See you soon, be careful.”
As Scott and Isaac practically ran out of the burned down house, I look at the older werewolves in front of me. Derek just looks at me, as Peter has already started working on getting information for the kanima.
It’s been maybe 30 minutes since we were all staring at the laptop screen, I was standing leaning over Peter's right shoulder and Derek was just standing by the left.
“Oh my god, what is that?” I look at the screen.
“Call Scott.” Peter says. I was still staring at the screen leaning closer to it and brushing Peter’s shoulder in the process. Ignoring that, I hear Derek talking in the background.
“Okay, look, I think I found something,” Peter says. “ Looks like what you are seeing from Jackson its just the Kanima’s Beta shape.” he continues.
“Well, meaning what? It can turn into something bigger?” Derek asks, also leaning over.
“Bigger and Badder.” Peter replies with worry in his tone.
“He is going to turn into that? That thing has wings.” I exclaim.
“I can see that sweetheart.” Peter says to me but not sarcastically, but with fear in his voice.
“Scott bring him to us.” Derek says into the phone.
“What is that? Right there?”  I point towards the screen where there is a play button.
“Look, somebody made an animation of it. Maybe it’s less frightening if we--” Peter taps the mouse and a screeching sound comes out of the speakers. The tree of us jump back and Peter closes the laptop quickly. “No not at all. We should probably meet him halfway”
All of us ran towards the door and suddenly I ran into Peter’s back. “For fuck’s sake Cranky Pants” I curse under my breath.
“We need Lydia.” Peter says.
“There is no time for--” Derek starts
“That's the problem. We are rushing. We are moving too fast. And while everybody knows that a moving target is harder to hit, here we are, racing right into Gerard’s crosshair.” Peter says.
“If i get the chance to kill Jackson, I’m taking it.” Derek says and turns back around.
I freeze in my spot, shocked that I am about to participate in the murder of a teenage boy- kanima or not. Peter sees it and grabs my hand rushing behind Derek.
We stop behind an abandoned building, Derek and Peter get out of the car and I follow.
“You guys stay here. I will go meet Scott and Isaac. Peter you will know when to come out” Derek says.
“Whoa, hey, wait a min--” I was caught off by Derek already running in all fours, like a dog I guess. “Well, fun meeting you Cranky Pants, but I am going to go to my brother now.” As I turn to walk away, Peter grabs my arm, really hard may I add, and turns me towards him.
“What are you doing? You can’t go out there. When Jackson will wake up he will go on a killing spree.” Peter whisper yells.
“Well, you already went on a killing spree once, what if you get off your rockets again and I will be your first victim.” I whisper yell back at him.
“Zoe-”
“Bye Peter!!” I say as I look him in the eyes and tear my arm from his grasp. I could see that he was a little angry, but excuse me that I wasn’t gonna stay with somebody that tried to kill my brother less than a year ago. When I cached up with Scott and the others, they were already in the abandoned building. I could hear Peter close behind me.
“-- wouldn’t let a rapid dog live.” A middle age man explained to the three werewolves. I was about to walk into the building another voice broke the silence.
“Of course not” an old man said. That’s when Peter grabbed me and pushed me beside the door. I knew it wasn’t the time to argue. I could feel the tension in the air. Peter and I peek around the corner although he tried to hide the view from me the best he could. “Anything that dangerous. That out of control... Is better off dead.” The old man said.
Right when Derek went to slash Jackson stomach, Jackson’s claw dug in his chest. I felt like I was going to vomit and I turned myself so I wouldn’t see what’s about to happen. From the side of my eye I could see Peter getting angry and his claws expanding. I took deep breaths trying to calm myself and I look towards Peter.
“Kill them all” I heard shouting and I almost fainted. I got down to the ground and pulled my knees close to my chest, trying to make my self as small as possible when we heard the screeching of tires and a loud bang. I heard the voice of Lydia yelling Jackson name and I slowly stood up. After a couple of seconds Peter jumped out and pushed his claws in Jackson back and Derek in his stomach. When Lydia was on the floor besides Jackson body I make my way towards my brother and Stiles.
I was looking toward the couple with tears in my eyes as I stood beside Stiles. Derek was looking on with a sad expression on his face and Isaac too.
“Where is Gerard?” Allison asked and the middle aged man answered that he can’t be far. When Lydia turned towards us Stiles started towards her but was stopped by the sounds of claws dragging on the concrete. All heads turned to the dead boy in front of Stiles jeep to see his wounds starting to close and Jackson getting up slowly. My eyes widened and turned my eyes towards the older werewolf here hoping that’s there is an explanation for this but all he did was too looking on with a shocked expression.
Stiles started to tear up and moved forward but stopped beside Scott for a few minutes the two boys were looking at each other when Stiles looked down and said “He scratched my Jeep.” With hurt in his voice.
“Stiles...” I moved towards him following behind in the Jeep. He got in the driving seat and  I got on after him. He started driving and didn’t say a word. “Stiles... are you okay?” I speak softly as if i was going to scare him. I didn’t get a reply back...
“Stiles, let’s go at my place, have a sleepover like old times.” I said and he turned towards the route for Scott’s and mine’s house. When we got there my mom’s car wasn’t in the driveway, she must work late night shifts. I will see her in the morning.
We go up to my room and I give Stiles some of my brothers clothes as I too take some for pajamas, because my suitcase is in my car and right now I really don’t know where my car is. After I was my face in the bathroom, I go to my room seeing Stiles in my bed already. I creep towards him and get in the bed beside him. I hug him from behind when he starts to sob quietly.
“It’s okay, everything is going to be okay, Stiles” I whisper sweet nothing to his ear until he fells asleep, me following close behind.

Hey there beautiful reader! If you’re new here, this is a series I’m writing where each chapter is an episode from the first season of Teen Wolf. If you’ve been here before, hey! I missed you! Previous and future chapters are linked at the end of each part if you want to catch up.
Pairing: Stiles x Psychic! Reader (eventually)
P.S. Stiles and Y/N have a sleepover (things are happening!!) and Jackson just got on the struggle bus.
Tumblr media
                                                    ----------------
“Whoa, whoa. Slow down.” I sat forward in the passenger seat and put a calming hand on Allison’s arm.
She took a deep breath and slowly relaxed her iron grip on the steering wheel. If she kept freaking out the way she was, we’d be laying in a ditch instead of making it to school.
“I’m telling you, Y/N. Something is really not right.” Her voice trembled as she spoke, clearly very upset.
“Just...start over.” I shook my head, not even clear about what she was trying to tell me.
She let out a slow sigh. “Last night, I found broken glass on the window of my aunt’s car.”
“Okay?” I prodded, glancing at the road to make sure she was driving straight again.
“So they both lied! My dad said she needed a jump, and she said she ran out of gas. Clearly something else happened if her window was broken. But...that isn't even the worst part.”
I nodded encouragingly so she would continue. She needed to just spit it out already. I really wanted to know if this freak out was supernatural related or not. After helping save Derek’s life and learning that the Argents are werewolf hunters, it was hard for me to believe that anything in this town wasn't supernatural related.
“I heard her and my dad talking.” Her knuckles turned white again as her grip tightened on the wheel. “She said she was attacked by something. And...and that she shot Derek Hale.”
I choked on my own spit and began coughing aggressively, but she didn't seem to notice beyond her growing hysterics.
“They were talking about packs, and an alpha, and some code...and I sound crazy, don't I?” Tears were streaming down her face now and my chest tightened uncomfortably.
I wanted to tell her everything. She was so close to figuring it out on her own, anyway, but Scott and Stiles had made me swear not to tell anyone the things I’d learned. I knew it would be dangerous for Scott, but what about Allison? She was caught up in this too, she just had no idea. How would she protect herself if she didn't even know what was going on half the time?
“Hey, no, no. You don't sound crazy at all.” I soothed, placing my hand back on her arm. She let out a quiet sob and sniffled, wiping her nose with her sleeve. “That’s definitely weird. What do you think it means?”
She threw her hands up, suddenly angry. The tears were gone. “I don't know.” She looked my way, determination swimming behind her eyes. “But I’m going to find out.”
                                                      -----------------
“Hoosiers is not only the best basketball movie ever, it’s the best sports movie ever made.”
“No.”
“It’s got Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper.”
“No.”
“Lydia, I swear to God, you’re gonna like it!”
“No.”
“I am not watching The Notebook again.”
The car fell into silence. I just rolled my eyes at Jackson and Lydia’s bickering. It was all you could do, really. The two of them fought so much, I was honestly surprised they were still together. They had quite possibly the most toxic relationship I’d ever seen.
Lydia turned and looked at him expectantly, and he folded. Like he always did. Allison snickered from beside me, enjoying his pain way too much. It was bad enough the poor guy had to have a movie night with his girlfriend and her two best friends. The least we could do was pick a movie everyone would enjoy.
He moved to get out of the car, and a sudden wave of nausea hit me. I clutched at my stomach and winced.
“You okay?” Allison turned to me, her brow furrowing in concern.
As he walked toward the store, my uneasy feeling only got worse. I knew I had to go with him, or something terrible was going to happen.
“I’m gonna go help him.” I huffed and popped my door open.
Lydia rolled her eyes and pulled her phone out, opening the camera to take selfies under the florescent lights. “Suit yourself.”
Once inside, Jackson and I walked through the narrow isles. The shelves were small, only coming up to my shoulder, so we got a clear view of the entire store. It was completely deserted, which only added to my anxiety. It was a week night, sure, but there was no way we should be the only people in here.
“Can someone help me find The Notebook?” Jackson called, only to be met with eerie silence. “Hello?”
“Is anybody even working here?” I asked, my eyes shifting up to one of the lights that was flickering above us. There was a ladder beneath it, suggesting that someone was here at one point. On the other side of the store, the phone began ringing.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me.” Jackson muttered, clearly annoyed by the whole situation.
I got the impression that he wasn’t picking up the weird energy in here the way I was. Something just wasn't right. I could feel it.
Just then, I caught sight of a pair of shoes at the end of an isle in front of us. But they weren't standing there browsing like us. No, they were laying down, almost as if they were...
“Jackson.” I breathed, and he stopped beside me. “We should go.”
He just scoffed and continued walking. “You know Lydia will kill me if I don't get this movie.”
I couldn't take my eyes off the shoes. My heart began racing in my chest. He seemed to finally take notice as his quick steps faltered.
“What the hell is that?” He kept moving toward it, so I had no choice but to follow.
I didn't want to be alone in here, even if he was only a few feet away. I shuffled close to his back and peered around his shoulder as we approached the shoes. A gasp tore through me as the sight of a dead man came into view. He was slumped over against the shelf, his throat slashed open. Blood coated every nearby surface. I staggered back a step, horrified.
Jackson did the same, accidentally knocking over the ladder that was just behind him. The lights flickered and sparks shot out of the ceiling panel as the whole thing came crashing down. A deep, animalistic growl sounded from the other end of the store and we both froze.
We weren't alone.
We shared a wide-eyed look, both of our breathing labored. I turned and, through the darkness, saw two glowing red eyes. The thing growled again and I shoved Jackson behind a nearby shelf, choosing the one next to it for myself. I pressed my back against the hard surface, trying to slow my rapid breathing. This was so not the time to have a panic attack.
Jackson’s terrified eyes met mine before he slowly leaned around to see what was going on. At the sound of shuffling, he whipped back into place. I swallowed thickly, my body beginning to tremble with fear. A few movies were knocked off a nearby shelf and I stiffened. It was close.
Then, each shelf in the line Jackson was hiding in began tumbling down. I called his name in a panic, but it was too late. Within seconds, he was trapped beneath the heavy pile. He tried to jump out of the way, so only his lower half ended up caught. But he still couldn't move.
He struggled for a few seconds before I stood to help. At the sound of heavy breathing, I froze. I was completely paralyzed by fear. I couldn't have moved even if I wanted to. All I could do was watch as the most terrifying monster I’d ever seen hovered over him.
It was all black, and huge. It looked like it was covered in fur, but I couldn't see very well under the low lighting. It huffed out harsh breaths as it inspected Jackson, it’s head tilting back and forth as it did. It had a long snout, like a dog, and razor sharp teeth. It lifted a giant paw and delicately peeled back the collar of Jackson’s leather jacket with its long claws. It’s head lifted slowly, it’s bright red eyes locking on mine.
And then, it was gone. It bolted toward the entrance and jumped through one of the windows, which shattered instantly. A high pitched scream echoed through the night as the thing fled the scene.
I jumped to my feet to help Jackson, who seemed frozen in shock. He had no idea what the hell just happened, but I had a guess.
It was the alpha. It had to be.
                                                   ------------------
I sat beside Lydia, my arm wrapped around her shoulders comfortingly. She was still shaking twenty minutes later. After the alpha ran off, she and Allison had come barreling into the store. They saw the dead body, rightfully freaked out, and helped me free Jackson.
An ambulance arrived shortly after, which is where we all sat now. I was shaken up, yes, but I more so just wanted my questions answered. I wanted to know who the alpha was, and why they were running around murdering innocent people in Beacon Hills.
Sirens sounded close by and the Sheriff’s car pulled up. My eyes instantly found Stiles through the passenger window. His lips parted in shock and he moved to take his seatbelt off, but his dad put an arm across his chest. He said something, and Stiles sagged against his seat looking defeated.
As soon as the Sheriff stepped out, he practically smooshed his face against the window to get a closer look at the scene.
“Paul, let’s get this area locked up.” The Sheriff called, putting on a pair of back gloves as he walked our way.
A crowd had gathered, too, which only raised my anxiety. There was a chance the alpha could come back, and I didn't think it would stop at just one victim this time.
“Why the hell can’t I just go home? I’m fine.” Jackson barked at Sheriff Stilinski the second he joined us.
“I hear ya, but the EMT says you hit your head pretty hard. They just wanna make sure you don't have a concussion.” The Sheriff tried to reason with him, something I’d learned was almost always a losing effort.
“What part of I’m fine are you not grasping? Okay? I want to go home.” Jackson took a step into his personal space and raised his voice.
Lydia frowned and laid her head into my chest, so I pulled her in tighter. The small glimpse she’d gotten of the alpha had really scared her, and now Jackson was making it worse by refusing to cooperate.
“And I understand—”
“No, you don't understand!” Jackson only got louder. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Stiles slowly getting out of his dads car. “Which kind of blows my mind because it should be a pretty basic concept to grasp for a minimum wage rent-a-cop like you! Now, I want to go home!”
A beat of tense silence passed before two paramedics rolled a gurney out of the store. I grimaced, knowing exactly what was under the white sheet.
“Oh, whoa! Is that a dead body?” Stiles called, drawing everyone’s attention to him.
His dad sent him a disappointed glare and he awkwardly slithered back into the car, his cheeks turning pink.
“Everybody back up.” The Sheriff sighed. “Back up.”
                                                   ------------------
I turned onto my right side, squeezing my eyes shut tightly. With a huff, I flipped onto my back and tugged my blanket over my head. I forced my eyes to remain closed despite the horrible images flashing behind them. I’d been trying to sleep for hours, but I couldn't stop thinking about the alpha.
I’d been so close to dying. I mean, it had looked right at me. But it didn't hurt me or Jackson. I wanted to know why. It didn't make any sense. The thing hadn't hesitated to kill the movie store employee, so why let us go?
I froze as the sound of rustling outside my window caught my attention. Slowly, I lowered the blanket and swept my eyes across the room. I was still alone. I was completely alone, actually. Mom was working the night shift again. I chewed on my bottom lip as I realized I still hadn't told her what happened. What would I even say?
Hey, mom. I ran into a homicidal werewolf tonight, but it’s all good. It let me go for some reason.
She would definitely make us move again, and I couldn't let that happen. I was starting to really like it here, despite the weird and dangerous situations I kept getting thrown into.
Just then, my window was shoved open and something thumped to the hardwood floors. I bolted upright and shoved my back against my bedroom wall, trying to get as far away from whatever it was as possible. My breath hitched and my throat constricted painfully.
My mind was racing. It could be the alpha coming back to kill me, or a random burglar, or maybe something worse. The thing moved around on my floor with a groan.
With trembling fingers I fished for my phone in my heap of blankets. Once I found it, I slowly turned the flashlight on, making sure it wasn't visible yet. I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the worst before jerking it upward.
A scream tore through me as the light illuminated a very startled looking Stiles, who was standing at the edge of my bed. He squinted and covered his eyes before smiling sheepishly. I put a hand on my chest and let my phone fall onto the bed. My heart was still pounding as I leaned across my mattress to flick on the lamp.
“God, Stiles. What the hell are you doing?” My voice sounded angry and breathless, even to my own ears.
He played with his fingers and raised his eyebrows. “Checking on you.”
A few beats of silence passed between us, and I realized that tears had gathered in my eyes. That was so unnecessarily terrifying.
“In the middle of the night.” I deadpanned, trying to calm my racing heart.
“Yeah.” He smiled his charming lopsided smile, as if he didn't realize how that was so majorly not okay.
“You can’t just sneak into my house to check on me.” I insisted, despite the way my chest swelled at the thought of him worrying about me.
“Well, I couldn't just knock. It's the middle of the night.” He chuckled quietly at his own joke.
I sent him a glare and an unwanted tear escaped the corner of my eye. I internally cursed myself for not wiping them away earlier. His face softened at the sight and I looked away from him, embarrassed. He quickly closed the distance between us, kneeling on my bed with one knee.
“Hey, I’m sorry.” His voice dropped to a whisper as he cupped my cheek and caught my tear with his thumb. “I wasn't thinking. I’ll go.”
My hand wrapped around his wrist before he could fully pull away. “Will you stay?”
Now that he was here, I realized how much I didn't want to be alone right now. My overaction just now showed me how much I was actually worked up over this whole thing. I’d pushed it away earlier, but I was still really scared.
Stiles nodded with a small smile. His warm caramel eyes flickered over my face and he cleared his throat before releasing his hold on me and pushing himself up off my bed. He rubbed at the back of his neck awkwardly and glanced around my room.
I chewed on my bottom lip and fiddled with the blankets at my waist. “You can sit, you know.”
His eyes widened. “Uh. Yeah. I was just, you know...um.”
“Relax, Stilinski. I’m not gonna take advantage of you.” I rolled my eyes with a chuckle. I’d never seen him so uncomfortable.
“Right. Obviously. Okay. Um...how do you...where should I...?” He scratched at the side of his head and didn't look any closer to moving, so I grabbed one of his hands and pulled him down.
He flailed at the unexpected movement and flopped onto the bed next to me. He scrambled up instantly and pushed his back up against my headboard. He sat there, stiff as a board, his legs crossed and his hands at his sides.
I laughed at his frenzied state. “You’re the one that climbed into my window. Why are you being such a spaz?”
“I didn’t think I’d get this far.” He muttered and started playing with his hands again. “I’ve never, uh...been in a girls bed before.”
My eyebrows rose in surprise. He was an attractive guy, so I found that a little hard to believe. “Seriously?”
“Yes, I know. My lack of sexual experience is laughable.” He finally looked at me and rolled his eyes in annoyance.
I shifted into a more comfortable position, letting my legs stretch out in front of me. I leaned back on my hands, now facing Stiles. Our feet were almost touching.
“It’s not that. I haven’t either. Been in a guys bed, I mean.” I stammered, suddenly feeling nervous. I hadn't been alone with a guy in a long time. And it was Stiles. He always made me just a little flustered.
His gaze lifted from his hands slowly, his eyes moving across my legs, then my torso, before finally stopping on my face. I swallowed under his intense stare, unable to look away from his eyes. They were so beautiful, and expressive. When he was happy, they shimmered with a light honey color. If he was scared or angry, they dulled just a little into more of a burnt caramel. Right now there was an unreadable emotion swirling in them.
I decided to go out on a limb. “Have you ever...kissed a girl?”
I watched his breath catch in his throat as his lips parted. He stammered, looking shocked by my question, and I could’ve sworn he started hyperventilating. “A c-couple.”
“Then you’re not a lost cause.” I sighed. That meant he had me beat. I’d never stayed in one place long enough to have a boyfriend. I hadn't even had my first kiss yet. It was pretty pathetic, actually.
“Have you?” He asked, sounding breathless.
I chuckled, deciding it couldn't hurt to mess with him a bit. “Kissed a girl?”
His cocked his head in annoyance and looked at me expectantly.
“Um.” I was back to chewing on my lip uncomfortably. “No. I haven't.”
“Nice.” He let out a relieved huff with a small smile, but backtracked at the sight of my glare. “I mean, it’s just good to know I’m not the only one who sucks at that stuff.”
I rolled my eyes. “Whatever.”
Feeling a sudden wave of tiredness wash over me, I pushed myself up onto my knees and leaned across the bed to flick my light off. I realized too late, after my arm was already outstretched toward the switch, that I had gotten myself way too close to Stiles. Our faces were only inches apart, and I was practically sitting on top of him.
His throat bobbed as he gulped. His eyes trailed over my form slowly, starting with my bare legs that rested on either side of his. Oh yeah, I’d completely forgotten that I was only wearing an oversized t-shirt. Up until now, my lower half had been covered up by my blankets, but they’d fallen away when I moved.
Stiles’ eyes met mine and my breath caught. I only had a split second to study the mix of emotions in them before he glanced down at my lips.
Oh, God. Is this really about to happen?
My eyes fluttered shut as we inched closer together. I wasn't even trying to. It was like my body had developed a mind of it’s own. His nose brushed against mine, then his lips in a feather light touch, just as thunder suddenly cracked in the distance.
We bolted away from each other, both breathing heavily. We shared a long, wide-eyed look while trying to collect ourselves.
“Um—” I started, my heart going right back to beating erratically.
I can’t believe I just almost kissed Stiles. My friend. What the hell am I thinking?
“I...” He looked petrified by what had just happened. His eyes were wide and his whole face was beet red.
“Sorry.” We both muttered in unison.
A long beat of silence passed between us, and I cleared my throat, feeling incredibly awkward.
“That was...um...”
“I can go.” Stiles interrupted, but didn't move a muscle. “If you want.”
I chewed on my bottom lip, surely about to break the skin this time, and shook my head. I still didn't want to be alone. “It’s okay. Just turn off the light.”
He nodded in understanding and complied, blanketing us in darkness instantly. I crawled beneath my comforter, silently offering him to do the same. Within minutes I was fast asleep, surprised by how peaceful it felt to lay beside him.
And, for the first time since moving here, I didn't have a single dream.

that haunting tenderness
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Rating: n/a for now (not sure where it'll go)
Ships: Laura/Stiles, Allison/Derek, past Jennifer/Laura
Chapter: 1/?
Words: 1449
"You can't be serious, Derek! You know what she's done." Her voice is dangerously low but Derek wills himself to not cave.
"I'm not saying I trust her. I'm saying we can use her." The fact that he won't meet Allison's eyes is telling; the bond they've created over the past few months solid enough that she sees his hesitation in going through with the plan.
"I'd say I can't believe you, but I know you and I know what this could mean. Just... don't forget what we've been through."
She walks away at that, turning her face so he can't see the tears, but he hears the slightest note of a whimper as she holds in a sob. Too many secrets and lies between the entire pack have made everyone a little frayed, tethers tying members together in ways they hadn't expected.
Stiles pulls Allison into a hug to help muffle her feelings and he watches Derek, knowing she and Cora have already given argument for him to not go through with this. He has tears of his own, but for his father, not the decision on the table. It's been a full day since Jennifer took his father, and while she has guaranteed he is still alive, he has no reason to take her word for it.
Derek, on the other hand, doesn't give himself the space to process his emotions in this moment, knowing the eclipse is almost upon them. He turns to face Jennifer instead, determination painted across his face. If only one other person can see through that facade, she's already refused to look at him in this moment.
"What do I need to do?"
The first thing Laura notices is the smell of rubbing alcohol, pungent and sharp, followed by the overwhelming mixture of fear, anxiety, and anger in the air. It's cloying enough to cover the secondary scents of animals, dogs and cats and a few gerbils. The combination doesn't make sense to her, clashes with what fragments she remembers. It feels like a bad dream, seeing half-turned Peter lunge at her, the full moon bright above their heads. But he couldn't be there, he was comatose, wounds still trying to heal despite his abilities. She groans in confusion, shaking her head, only to hear unfamiliar voices.
"She's awake," a female voice gasped, relief washing over it. "Derek, she's awake!"
Where is Derek?! Were they attacked? Is he safe? Laura's internal voice was frantic, the name pulling her out of her stupor.
"Might want to be a little quieter," a male voice said. It was familiar, too familiar, and Laura felt herself grow a little calmer despite the confusion. "She hasn't exactly been able to hear for a while."
Was that Stiles? Sheriff's son, Stiles? The hell was he doing here?
"Take it easy, this is going to be a bit of a slow process," a different female voice chimed in. This one sounded closest, maybe a foot from Laura's ear. She had to be mistaken, there was no way she was hearing who she thought she was. "You're probably a bit confused, but you have your family here. I think they'd like to say hello."
Family? As in more than Derek? What the hell is going on?
Laura makes a few unintelligible sounds, her mouth feeling like it's full of cotton. She awkwardly moves her tongue to lick her lips and is surprised by just how dry they are before a hand gently holds the back of her head, pushing up slightly to press a water bottle to her mouth.
"C'mon now, Laura, you can do this," the same male voice from before says. She forces herself to swallow a sip, and then another and another after that. "There you go."
The entire situation is starting to feel more and more bizarre, but she can't communicate that. She feels like she's stuck underwater, all of her senses damped yet present still. More sounds try to fight their way out of her mouth, and she's struggling against her own body until she feels a breath against her chest, the feeling of someone leaning close to her mouth to hear what she's trying to say, a steadying hand pressed firmly against her shoulder to keep her from moving.
"Der-, where'she?! Whe-" It's a murmur, the words slurring together, but it has fire behind it.
"Oh god," she hears a deeper voice chime in. Heavy footsteps follow as the voice's owner comes closer at an apparent run. "Laura? Laura, I'm right here." She can feel the distant touch of someone holding her hand in theirs, pressing a kiss to the pack of it.
"Der'k?" She questions. It doesn't sound like him, but nothing else is right either. Her body aches ferociously as she wills herself to turn in the voice's direction, practically falling off the bed until he catches her form, letting her curl her head against his chest.
"I'm here, Laura. Can you hear me? I'm not going anywhere." He wraps an arm around her, cradling her head, and her heart finally settles, still anxious, but at least Derek is alive.
"Are you kidding me?! What the hell were you thinking?" Laura's voice echoes in the house, Alpha tenor intermingled with human outrage.
Stiles widens his eyes as he pivots on the spot and walks back into the kitchen, making a slashing motion across his throat to ward off Derek's approach. The latter is sipping on a coffee, classic Hale scowl a seemingly permanent fixture on his face.
"They're at it again," Stiles whispers dramatically.
It's only been a day but already Laura is livid with both Jennifer and Derek, incredulous that they would tamper with death so blatantly. At this point, they're all anxiously waiting for the full moon, unsure if Laura will react the same way as she once would.
"I was thinking it would help save your kid brother! Once upon a time you'd do anything for him." The words cut like ice coming from Jennifer's mouth, and Laura is stunned for a moment.
"And how exactly would that include letting my ex prey on him? Just because he didn't recognize this face instead of Julia's didn't give you the right to manipulate him into this." Her voice is lowered, a sign that she is struggling with control.
"You know full well that we're connected, Laura. It's how we met all those years ago."
"His unintentional blood sacrifice on the Nemeton does not equate some fucked up bond, and you know it. Yes, you became entangled in the Hale family, and yes, I once loved you. But I don't even recognize you anymore, Julia." She narrows her eyes in warning, flashing the red, before stalking outside.
"Are you kidding me?" She grumbles, and Derek and Stiles follow her out to see Deaton standing on the porch. He gives an awkward little wave and Laura rolls her eyes.
Rather than addressing the man, she turns back to Derek, who backs up a few steps. He's been avoiding too much direct contact with her, a sister now in her body from eight years ago. Her mind may have caught up, but it's still strange seeing her like this.
"Did you call him?" It's a direct question, and she doesn't try to add any softness to it like she's done so far with him.
"I just figured - he knows a lot, okay? Mom trusted him, but she never even knew Jennifer. I just want to make sure you're okay."
Stiles watches the siblings from the side, never having seen Derek quite like this. He defers to Laura, which makes sense, but he's also talking to her like he thinks she'll crack, almost like he's afraid of her. He knows it makes sense, what with Peter's manipulation to bring himself back to life. Still, though, this isn't the Derek Stiles thought he knew or remembered.
"I'm fine," Laura grumbles. "Yes, I was dead, and no, I still don't want to see our psychotic uncle who killed me. I may be in younger me's body but I'm fine."
"Yeah, you are," Stiles chimes in, lopsided smirk on his face. Laura just rolls her eyes in response and shakes her head before stepping off the porch.
"I need a little alone time, okay? I'll be back, I promise." She looks to Derek at this and Stiles can feel the way he relaxes at the reassurance. "I just need to breathe by myself for a bit."
Derek and Stiles both nod as she walks on, seeing her give Deaton a small smile and squeeze his hand before shifting into a wolf mid-run and disappearing into the preserve.

DIFFERENT PREDATORS - chapter 4
INCLUDES ANDREI KULOKOVA x XAVIERA LAH-MO
Loving writing for this couple so so much! This literally feels like a movie and it has over taken my life. In this chapter we get to look at feral Andrei in full form, which is so cool to write for. Just a warning it is very gory. Make sure to read part one, two and three.
Also please go read @horrorslashergirl oc Xaviera’s perspective on the chapter linked HERE

Soft breathes filled the room as both predators came down gently from their high. Andrei ran his tattooed palm along Xaviera’s naked shoulder she shuddered at his touch, her icy blue eyes were now a calm blue as she watched him light a cigarette with his free hand, blowing the smoke away from her in an unconsciously kind way. The wolf had taken what was his again from the world and it felt so right, better than any time before, and he was comfortable tonight, just laying together.
Looking back down at her his eyes were calm, and jaw ebbed of the tension and control, the wolf was down. She breathed slowly and strong, her soft skin gleamed with a fine sheen of sweat in the low light. She was the perfect prey.
“So… How was your first time?” He asked, taking another drag of his cigarette.  “everything you wanted it to be?” His cockiness apparent in his question.
Xaviera took a moment with the question, maybe put off but his cocky ways like most but she hummed and replied with a flash of cheekiness “Mhmmm….Always pictured that my first time would be with a wolf. I guess I am more fond of feral beasts.”
Andrei gave a huff of a laughter appreciating the many sides of her personality, she continued to match him whole heartedly. “Well aren’t you lucky.” He waited for her to continue but was comfortable in the silent pause, but noticed something in her eyes, she was looking at his cigarette that lazily hung from his lips. Andrei took a drag again but blowing the smoke closer to her to see if she liked the taste, “Would you like one?”
Xaviera perked up at the question, and she took from his cheap Russian pack that he had offered up. Taking a slow drag she sighed contently, allowing the smoke to billow to wisp around her, framing her face. “Haven’t smoked since college. Sleepless nights full of studying.” Xaviera spoke looking up at Andrei through thick lashes and licking her lips.
“Y'know you look hot with a cigarette hanging out of those soft lips…” the wolf whispered, leaning in close to her face blowing smoke directly at her and capturing it in a kiss. He savored his favorite taste of tobacco and her sweetness with a hint of left over cum in the kiss the wolf moaned. Pulling away Andrei took the cigarette from her hand only to put his down in the ashtray and finish hers, a trait of the beasts playfulness. “You shouldn't smoke.. its bad for you” he smiled.
She smiled in return and rubbed her nose on his own as animals do in affection.  "I know.... That's why I gave up smoking after college." she told Andrei, looking up at him from under her eyelashes.
Andrei was breaking slowly and surly like a house with a cracked foundation and she was seeping through the cracks. He nodded “you must have a good strong will then myshka.”
Putting down the cigarette in the ash tray one of his large hands rubbed her side while the other interlocked with her small hand, watching intensity as the wolf engulfed her hand with his. Bending the top of his fingers on hers, pulling away slightly and letting her trace his tattoo. Andrei kissed her forehead, closing his eyes trying desperately to be ok with the intimacy.
“When you lived most of your life among creatures that could kill you in a matter of seconds, you have to be always careful. Never underestimate someone by appearance. That’s what my father used to tell me…” she found herself telling him.
Andrei tightened his grip on the small woman, holding her close and telling her it was ok. He too had learned the same listen; His uncle was a paranoid mess, worried of anyone and putting fear in the hearts of Andrei and his sister at a young age, that absolutely anyone could rip them apart, mentally and physically. Then the fear only grew stronger as Andrei went to the army, undercover with some of Russia’s most dangerous people, no matter that their size. He learned to not be surprised with it anymore.
Humming and listening to the vulnerability, appreciating it. “A wise man” Andrei whispered into her white hair, letting her continue and taking in her sweet smell.
Xaviera bit her lip as she was compilating if she would continue. She was so cute when she bit her lip. Tugging at the stony heart people had created for him, but the way she curled into him, and the soft soothing voice made him feel at home. Xaviera saw through his beastly ways and saw the man underneath.
“Yes, he was. He always knew what to say and how to solve any problem…If it wasn’t for him…I wouldn’t have been here today.” she tells Andrei, curling her body against his much bigger one, seeking protection and comfort in a silent way he was more than happy to provide.
Andrei pulled in a deep breath, considering to tell her his family life as well, but he paused. The wolf biting his neck forcing him into submitting but he brushed it off. Who knew if he was even going to see her again. What did it matter.
“My.. uh, my dad was killed when I was young boy, just leaving me, my uncle, sister and..” his breath hitched slightly “my mother…. but um.. she was murdered when I was 12” Andrei shifted uncomfortably with his vulnerability, but tugged her close as a form of comfort, something he did with his sister growing up.
“She must have been a wonderful and beautiful woman... My mother... S-She was killed too... A-Along with my father.” she began to tell him with a shake in her voice, a breaking predator in his large hands. “My father was killed by poachers in a trip to Africa….Me and my mother run…B-But….She saved me….Giving her life. T-They killed her too…..She hid me into the hallow of a tree….A-And after they left her body…..T-The hyneas….T-They devoured her….They ripped her face apart.” Xaviera began to cry, walls tumbling down around her and allowed Andrei to pick up the pieces.
“I had to watch until she was a mess of flesh and bones.” she choked on a sob, her face buried into his chest. “I-I was so weak.” she breathed out.
Andrei’s heart was ripping and tearing as she shook, telling him the horrors she had been through. A deep part of his soul sympathizing with her; they had both seen the mangled, broken corpses of their mothers, with a beast looming over them. Unfortunately, Andrei was the beast in his story, but he wasn’t going to tell her now, that was for a different night.
Feeling the deep sobs and broken words spilling from her sweet lips he held her strong and instinctively, wanting to protect her. “ssssh… little one…” Andrei pulled back slightly meeting her red eyes, cupping her jaw and wiping the tears away. “It was never your fault… Beasts take and take from this world with greed, no mercy… and it is no one’s fault” Andrei’s soul was reassuring himself more so than Xaviera at this point, and he glanced at his tattoo, reading it, the words ‘NO GODS’ screamed in his head. He wanted to blame god for what he did, what had happened, what he took from him, but the true danger was people. Not the beasts. There were no gods to blame.
Her gaze met his in a soft reassurance. “That’s why I hate most humans so much….Humans call animals beasts but they are the ones.” she whispered, letting the last tears fall down her cheeks. “Animals aren’t greedy, vain… They do it to survive…. Humans are conducted by their avarice.” she spoke, taking one of his big hands in both her tiny ones, bringing his hand to her lips, kissing his knuckles, then her eyes drifted to the big scars on her thigh.
Fuck, she was killing him. Speaking his brutal but beautiful language. Her gentle affection was something new for him, something no one had ever shown the wolf, but he liked it, he could learn this gentle nature from her.
“I got this one from a mother Grizzly. Me and my dad encountered the cubs first and because I was young and foolish… She attacked me….. My dad saved me, but the Grizzly left a souvenir.” she spoke, looking from the claw marks to Andrei. “I learned not to be afraid of the wild animals… But also respect them. Respect what can kill you.” Nuzzling into him like a little cat.
Andrei’s eyes widened at the thought of a grizzly coming after her, she was so small but so tough. Xaviera held the quiet power of beasts within her but covered it in a gentle grace, something he was less than skilled at.
He took his free large hand and brought it down to her thigh tracing the scar like it was art, Xaviera shivered at his touch. Bringing his lips to her forehead he spoke “Well thank you for respecting me” he laughed, trying to lighten the deep moment.
She snorted and rolled her blue eyes at his smug joke, "Yes, yes. I respect you, all high and mighty Alpha Wolf." She cheekily told him, one of her fingers scratching under his chin playfully, like one would do to a dog, he just shook his head at the playful endearing energy she had.
"Just don't step on my tail or I am gonna bite your precious jewels off." she whispered against his lips, her blue eyes glinting. Andrei’s eyes went sharp again at her words, ready to pounce at her again. He took her lips in a deep kiss, grinning at the end and pulling away, sexual thoughts filling his head with the mention of her mouth being that close to his manhood.
“Go ahead and try it precious kitten” Andrei rolled Xaviera on top of him now, placing his hands on her hips for a moment until bring them to the sides of her neck, the wolf inside wanted to turn the action deadly but he inhaled and brought her down into a kiss again.
She kissed him back as he did, her small hands moving to touch his bigger ones that were rested on her neck. “I love it when you touch my neck.” Xaviera whispered into the kiss, her thumbs stroking his knuckles.
The wolf wanted to take her over and over again by the way she would speak to him, letting a fire and holding it strong within him, but he needed to relax. She was so small, so tempting, bones so easy to break under his hands.
His jaw tensed as his fingers went tighter around her throat, not enough to choke for Andrei controlled himself. “Be careful with those sweet words baby girl” he whispered back feeling her breath hitch slightly under his fingers.
"You know..... You are the only one who has ever touched my neck and survived." she whispered, looking down at him, cheeks dusted by a furious blush from their position.
His brow raised and the signature smirk came back to his face “there is still time darling” he silently laughed appreciating her wild side. Swiftly and expertly Andrei rolled her again, pinning her beneath the beast of a man. Moving close to her face, cigarette stained breath ghosting over her Andrei kissed her again leaving her breathless once one as he pulled away “Well thank you for letting me live… for now” he smirked and got up from bed going downstairs.
Grabbing the 2 mugs of hot tea Andrei surveyed the cabin one last time for potential threats, an instinct he could never lose. Making it into the bedroom Xaviera had her head buried in the pillow which made him confused, the soft side of him tugging to know what was wrong and the wolf breathing down his neck to strike while she was vulnerable.
“Everything alright?” Andrei asked putting her mug down and getting into bed with his own mug, running his hand down her shoulder.
"Yes... E-Everything is alright... Just... Thinking." she replied, avoiding his gaze at the end and nibbling on her lower lip, a blaze of blush creeping up her features.
Andrei saw that blush again, a sight he could get used to seeing. Then that lower lip bit, ugh, she was breaking him. But he just nodded and sipped his tea watching the snow fall out the windows, his soul still wanting to run free but his heart was being caged by the beautiful woman in bed with him. Another fight to be had within him.
“Thinking… about me?” Smirked turning towards her “Don’t be sly… I’m beginning to know that beautiful blush well baby girl.” he teased with the prey as she choked on the words he spoke. He was under her skin and he reeled in it.
"I-Its not like that! I mean... You were amazing and I loved every second of it... Its just.... I never shared...a moment like this." she spoke, looking down at the cup of tea in her lap.
He smiled at her innocent nature. “I’m just teasing myshka, it was a joke…” he hooked two large fingers under her chin making her look up at him. “But I was right.” He huffed only for her to glare at him, the blush still present.
“Still a knucklehead.... Don't make me throw your ass in the snow." she told him, taking a sip of her tea to hide her smile. Setting his tea down on the nightstand, the fingers under Xaviera’s chin moved along her jaw sweetly.
“And still a fierce kitten” Andrei’s fingers laced within her white hair and kissed her again. Xaviera closed her eyes as he kissed her, her tongue running along his bottom lip only to shyly start sucking on it, her eyes opened, looking into his own, challenging him slightly.
Andrei’s eyes went sharp again, “well you learn fast.” He grinned licking his canines, the hand within her hair tightened in a fist, he wasn’t gonna be that easy with her anymore. Crashing his lips against hers again roughly his tongue explored her mouth and fought with her tongue, savoring the taste. Without even looking Andrei’s one hand moved down her arm, taking the tea and reaching over her to put it on her nightstand which in turn was pinning her beneath him again. Biting her lip hard enough to draw a little blood he pulled back, knowing what the copper taste would do to him, he moved the kisses along her jaw and to Xaviera’s so sensitive neck.
"T-That's not fair... Y-You know my sensitive spots... A-And I don't know yours." the prey breathed out in a shuttering voice.
He grins against her, brushes the sharp teeth of the wolf along the delicate bruised skin he created. “A predator never just tells you their weak spot..” he pulled away looking her deep into her glimmering eyes “you of all people should know that, darling”
"I-I...." the prey stammered, blushing hot at his words.
Andrei stopped at her stammering words, she was embarrassed and shy beneath the wolf. He moved a large hand to stroke through her white locks and he rested his forehead on hers like animals show affection. “Ssshh.. little mouse… I will not hurt you.” The wolf couldn’t promise that, he knew that, but he never wanted to. She was different, she was an animal just like him.
“I-It’s alright… You know… When I was in Africa I watched as Leopards mate. The males always bite the nape of the females. Not to kill her, but to assert dominance. I suppose that goes for humans too?” she told him in a quiet voice, biting on her lower lip.
His gentle grin appeared again, she understood him even with all his teeth, he hummed at her words “You are mine.” Andrei placed his hand on the side of her neck and deeply kissed her, grinding himself against her, but quickly rolled off and pulled her close to him again. A ever fought battle of animalistic urges and a gentle side.
Xaviera nuzzled her face into his chest, and humming. "All yours, Wolfy. All yours.... Considering half my neck is blue and purple." she said with a smile.
Andrei huffed a small laugh, it was an instinct for him, a carnal desire to go for the neck and it always had been. Her words lit him up, someone accepted it for once that they were his, even if it was just until the snow stopped. Looking down at her Xaviera was beaming with pride.
“What a cute little thing” He kissed her forehead and started to absent mindedly run one of his hands along the giant scar on his chest. Her eyes drifted to the scar his sister gave him but she never pressured him and that he was grateful for.
"Little with enough venom to kill 100 Men." she said with a devilish glint in her eyes, her lips pressed against his big scar.
He smiled at the power she had in those words, she could kill poachers with her gun and arrows but she could also kill a man’s heart, even if it was locked away deep inside. Andrei’s jaw tensed in the gentle affectionate nature she presented him with, no one had kissed his scars in fear of what he might do them, but she didn’t have fear of him. He just looked down at her beautiful blue eyes through her thick lashes.
“It is time for sleep myshka” he leaned down brushing his lips against hers “.. unless you want to go again?” He grinned licking his canines.
“As much as I would love to get frisky with the big bad wolf…. I have to rest. The blizzard will stop tomorrow morning and I will have to go…hunting.” She whispered, her hand brushing against his chest up and down.
Xaviera spoke sweetly but truthfully and Andrei pulled away resting his head on the pillow, his mind finally felt at ease here in the tangled sheets but the way she was rubbing his chest was starting a fire he might not be able to control again, so the wolf roughly grabbed her wrist and spoke “you might want to stop doing that then.. or else I’m not taking your excuses.” He let go of her, controlling himself again and running a large hand down her grizzly scars and settling there.
"Got it, knucklehead." she huffed, rolling her eyes. Respecting his inner demons and roughness. She pressed a kiss under his chin. “Good night, Wolfy.” she whispered, leaning her head against his chest.
Grinning at the new nickname he closed his eyes, this was one night the trauma and memories wouldn’t come, he was safe in his own head tonight and he could finally relax. Tension ebbed from his muscles and jaw feeling himself melt into the bed and into the body next to him. “Goodnight kitten”
Even if it was just for the night, he felt at home, a relaxation he had never known.
-----------------------------------------
The winter morning sun cascaded through the old glass of the cottage, his icy blues eyes opened softly and his hand stretched out, only feeling coldness surrounding him. Andrei was alone. Then there was a the closing of the door to confirm his suspicion. Her free spirit eluded him again.
“Motherfucker-” He cursed rushing downstairs and looking out the window, she was loaded up and ready to kill. A surge of protection came over him, and unfamiliar feeling in his heart he just couldn’t place other than he needed her. She didn’t know what else these poachers were involved in like he did, one of them was in the Ukrainian special forces, one similar to Andrei but lower class.
Getting dressed in his winter camo, throwing on his military vest loaded with ammo, knives, first aid and basically anything useful to get himself out of a jam. Placing his rifle over his shoulder and lacing up his combat boots, he finally placed on his mask with a deep growl. The one last thing that made him the beast.
Stepping out into the cold winter he followed Xaviera’s tracks, leading up the mountain and twining through the forest. The wolf stalked for about two hours and that’s when he heard it a large truck approaching through the clearing just beyond the forest. He was close.
Running through the trees silently he waited, waited for her calling, the sniper rifle shots. Crouching low within the frost covered brush something he didn’t expected happened, the tires of the large truck exploded from a spike strip hidden in the snow. The little leopard knew some tricks, the wolf grinned from behind the mask.
The first man stepped out of the truck and there was a sudden crack. The sniper rifle. “Xaviera” His trained ears perked as he listened to the sound and the vibrations, she was up on the ridge, hidden almost perfectly among the terrain, white hair flowing perfectly into the snow.
His icy blue eyes fell on the man who was bleeding lifelessly in the snow, the hot crimson melting the ice around him. The wolf’s eyes dilated and he growled with the second crack on the gun. His skin was crawling eagerly, his muscles stiffened and his mouth watered. Andrei tried to shake it off but the desire burned too hot.
Andrei... Breathe... If you go out there you will get her killed... Breathe... Wait..
So the wolf waited and watched from the trees, blue eyes sharp on the woman coming down the ridge closing in on the truck. He breathed. He contemplated showing himself, but her job wasn’t done yet and he could ruin it all. Xaviera broke the lock of the truck and opened the heavy doors with a large metal squeak falling into the forest.
There was her prize, a beautiful large snow leopard leaped out of the truck majestically, shaking its fur and running off just to the right of the wolf, they shared a quick glance at each other. It was a look of respect. Two different predators, one now free while the other was protecting, heart still chained to the woman by the truck.
Suddenly the wolf felt the hair on his neck stand and instinctively his muscles tensed, whipping his head to watch Xaviera. Something wasn’t right. A man appeared behind her. The wolfs eyes were dark, and sharp as the man grabbed her. His prey was slammed against the truck forcefully and she screamed in pain, that was a sound only the wolf wanted to make her make. No one else. She was his.
The wolf stood tall, imposing and threatening. Stalking through the bushes he heard the man talking to her but it was muffled by the blood rushing and the heart that pounded strongly within the wolf. A harsh breath left her sweet mouth as the man kicked her in the ribs. His jaw tensed, muscles flexed and contorted. Each footstep his anger grew and the snow seemed to melt under his fiery path.
This was the man from the special unit force Andrei knew well. Another shriek of pain cut through his ears as the man harshly pressed a boot on her ankle. His prey with downed and the wolf was going to take what was his. The sight of blood in the snow and dripping down his prey fueled the fire beneath the skin. He couldn't hold back the wolf any longer from its true power. It was over. Andrei was gone.
"... I know what you might be useful for" The man was on top of her now, speaking confidently, the prey cried as his disgusting hands ran along her thighs. Along his prey. She reared her head back looking to scream but there was no need, the wolf knew what to do. She was his.
The wolf lunged. Full power of broad shoulders and hard muscles. Teeth bared and claws out he tackled him off her. The man got to his feet but the wolf had power and speed, thrusting a hard fist right into his nose with a crack. The blood poured but it wasn't enough. He stepped onto his territory. Pulling the knife from his holster as the man stumbled back, the wolf stabbed into the flesh with a squelch, and twisted knife sadistically in the thigh wanting to hear the scream of pain. His desire still burned as the man dropped into the snow and the Russian pulled out the blade. He admired the oozing and flowing of the blood.
He wasn't done. He needed want was his. Towering above the man he kneeled on him, pressing his knee onto the delicate ribcage that seemed to crack with ease. The noise made goosebumps form along his skin as his large rough hands pressed around the man's throat. Squeezing and waiting.
Wait.... Wait for it.... Be grateful for the hunt... Wait for the end... It will come... It always does...
The man beneath him thrashed and writhed. Gasping and clawing. Managing to push the wolfs mask down only to have him mimic the teeth pattern. A full snarl infusing fear into the man's heart. The wolf could see it in his eyes. The precious tender fear, he was a master of. He was close. So close to the end as the prey stopped his attempt at life and accepted his death in between the jaws of the wolf. The last look was ecstasy. A sweet and yet bitter taste on his tongue as the soul departed beneath the wolf. He was gone. He took what was his in the snow.
As the pluse under his claws went flat, the attention was put on his other prey. His different type of prey. Dark eyes met her wide icy blues. Andrei was screaming not to dare to touch her but the wolf wanted more. Needed more. The prey swallowed down roughly, breathing slowly as the wolf was hunched and teeth were displayed. She didn't move. A smart one. He wanted to devour her fear but he pulled away and placed his attention back the corpse beneath him.
He wasn't done.
He came into his world and touched what was his. Spilled the blood that was his. He wanted more.
Standing, the wolf towered, large and strong he dragged the body away. Taking his kill how and where he wanted, and stalked into the snowy forest. His rage carrying the wolf where it pleased.
Seeing a strong, sharp broken branch on a pine tree, it seemed to suit the wolfs fancy. Lifting the man with ease and impaling him on the branch in a show of pure raw strength. In an animalistic urge he needed to see everything, hear everything and smell everything. The wolf stripped the prey as he hung. Checking for weapons and ammo that would please him.
The hot blood still oozing from his thigh, the desire ached for more. The wolf grabbed his blade again from his vest and in a swift motion he stabbed the prey in his chest, right in the middle and pulled down strongly to his navel. The hot crimson spraying on the wolf, he tasted it, savoring it sickly as he took the knife out. Intestines fell and melted the snow at his feet. The white ice turned a deep scarlet as the night fell. The metallic smell assaulted the wolfs senses, feeding every desire perfectly. He was grateful for this hunt tonight. He could do as he pleased.
With 2 hands the wolf tore the preys torso open, the sound of squelching entrails and flesh ripped through the forest, signaling the ravens to move in around him. With a thick hand the wolf reached inside the lifeless body, reaching the spine slowly and twisting, ripping it out as the body swayed. The wolf had taken what he wanted. He took rapaciously what he thought desvered with out mercy. Protecting what was his.
Breathe... Be grateful for this hunt.... you took what you wanted.... Breathe... The world made you this way... Breathe..
A sick snarl left his lips graciously as he looked at what he did. Turning to walk away the wolf nipped at his neck one last time and he turned, whipping his knife out and brutally decapitated the prey. The body mangled and wicked left in the snow for the scavengers to eat. He had taken what was his.
The blood was thick on his coat as he marched along the snow path, marching to the cottage, a siren song calling him back, her name in his head over and over again. The wolfs eyes sharp and dangerous as he set his sets on the cottage, warm light looming in the dark cold forest. The blood steamed and billowed around him. The wolf had a hunger. Only one could fill. The trail of scarlet dripped from his canines and claws, melting in the footsteps behind him.
The wolfs weight creaked along the front steps and he slammed the door open. There she was. He's final feast for the night.
"Andrei?" The prey asked, looking like a deer caught in the headlights, she stood there as he licked the blood from his canines.
She was wearing nothing but his shirt. His smell imprinting on that beautiful flesh. The wolf growled deep and low, seeing her bruises. They weren't his bruises, not his marks. He needed her. To make her his again. A carnal desire burned in his core. This would be a different hunt. A different end.

You Saved Me - Derek Hale x fem!reader part 27
------------
"So it's safe now?" I asked into the phone, a little less enthusiastic as I would have been four years ago. Four. Years. In those four years, I had moved out of Castle McLeod, gotten my own little cottage on the mainland, and Nicholas has been taking Gaelic classes to prepare him for school next year. But it seemed that they were unnecessary now.
"Yeah, now it's finally safe." Scott said, nervously.
"Scott, have you looked at a calendar?"
“A lot of stuff has happened!”
“I’m well aware of that. Including stuff I should have been there for.” Nothing like hearing your best friend was possessed by a Nogitsune. I sighed, happy at least that I could come home. I had the paperwork done for months, it took almost four years to get the paperwork for Nicholas’ citizenship. It’s almost as if the United States was making it harder and harder for people to enter the country.
“Alright, I’ll pick up Michael from work and get Nicholas in the car.”
“You’re bringing Michael?”
“Yeah, I have to. He’s my bodyguard.”
“Derek’s not gonna like that.”
“Yeah well, I wouldn’t know that would I?” I snapped. Derek had become a touchy subject in the house. Considering that I hadn’t heard from him in three years.
“Okay, okay, but Derek said-”
“I don’t care what Derek said. I don’t.” I put on a smile when I saw Nicholas walk in, “I’ll see you tomorrow.” I hung up before he could continue. I slid my phone in my back pocket and grinned down at my son.
“Guess what, sweetie.”
“Wha?” He asked, his green eyes wide. His long, dark hair in his eyes. He picked up an accent from living here, mostly from Lachlan who had become his favorite person.
Bending down, I swept the hair away from his eyes, “We’re gonna move to America. We get to see mama’s family.”
“Really?!” He started bouncing up and down.
“Yeah!” I picked him up in my arms and held him close, “Uncle Stiles and Grandpa Noah and Uncle Scott.” I paused, trying to figure out how to add his other family in without him asking questions, “All of them.”
“Yay!” He cheered. Pressing a kiss to his cheek, I carried him into his room and started to pack his bag.
-
"Hey, darlin'." Michael sat down in the passenger seat of my rental car, pressing a kiss to my cheek before looking back, "Sin mo bhalach! (There’s my boy)." I really wasn’t a fan of these but he was trying to keep up appearances for the locals that we were just a little family.
"Bidh thu a ’sabaid ris na droch ghillean, Mikey?(You fight the bad guys?)" Nicholas was almost fluent in Scottish Gaelic. Sometimes, he spoke words that I didn’t even know yet.
"I sure did, bud!" He smiled and then looked back at me, "You wouldn't believe what we went through today. Rouge teenage werewolf pack, no alpha. Major power struggle. We put them in detainment and we're looking into a pack that'll take them in."
"Yeah sounds... Fun." He was in his maroon uniform that Lachlan created for all Lunar Circle bodyguards; it looked like a cross between the Green Berets and navy camo.  On his breast pocket was a bronze and gold wolf-print medal.
"What's wrong, darlin?" He asked. I looked behind and pressed the screen icon on the touch screen on the dash.
"Hey, honey.” I looked back at Nicholas in the rearview mirror, “Why don't you watch a movie? Yeah?" He nodded with a grin, putting on his blue earmuffs with built in sound protection and happily started watching whatever movie I had put in the DVD player, Strange Magic I think.
“What is it?"
"Well, first: you don’t have to call me darlin when we’re alone.” I glanced at him and then the road, Two, Scott called. It's safe to go back home." I looked back at Nicholas in the mirror, he looked so peaceful. Just humming along to whatever was playing.
"And I want to see Uncle Noah and Stiles."
Michael stared out the window, "And Derek too, I'm assuming.” He said grimly, “(Y/N), I thought you were over him. I thought we were finally moving on with our lives. Are you playing with my emotions-"
"Do you think this is a game? I love my life here, but I need to see my family. I want him to know his family outside of a computer screen. And if that means he sees Derek, then he will."
"Alright, alright, fine. Let's go back. I gotta pack-"
"Oh, already did that. Clothes packed, Lachlan’s having the rest shipped on his freighter.”
He chuckled, "Figured. You're always prepared." Michael smiled, looking back at Nicholas who was halfway asleep, struggling not to drop his sippy cup.
"What are we going to do about Derek?" He asked.
Sighing, my shoulders slumped, "I don't know, Mikey. I really don't."
-
Lachlan met us at the airport to see us off. Well, more to see Nicholas off. Since he was born, Lachlan had gone above and beyond for the little boy. From boat rides, to swimming in Loch Ness, to whatever toy his little heart desired. The Praetor spoiled him for sure.
“He’s got everything?” Lachlan asked nervously, “All his clothes? Does he have puppy dog because you know he can’t sleep without it-”
“Lachlan, relax.” I held onto his shoulders, “Nicholas has everything he needs.”
“I’m just nervous.” Lachlan said, looking over as Nicholas slept on Michael’s lap, “I don’t know what we’ll do without him.”
“You mean you don’t know what you’ll do?” I lightly punched his shoulder.
He sighed, “I just... You two are family to me. The family that I never got to have.” He looked back at me, “Maybe I should come with you. I’ve never been to America before. Plus, our ground team of security has already been dispatched to Beacon Hills.”
“We’ll be safe. It’s finally safe back there.” I smiled. Lachlan sighed loudly, combing his hair back from his face when the overhead voice called for us to board our flight.
“Okay.” He mumbled, walking over to sleeping Nicholas and taking him into his arms.
“I’ll see you soon, kiddo.” He kissed the top of his head. Nicholas mumbled something in his sleep, tightening his grip on his wolf plush - puppy dog.
-
"There she is!" Uncle Noah walked out of the house, arms wide. I squealed, running up the driveway and into his arms. He squeezed me tight, swaying us from side to side. Uncle Noah smelled like home, something that I had missed for so long. He sniffled a little, pulling away to look down at me.
"Awh sweetheart..." He held my cheeks, wiping away happy tears.
"Happy tears, happy tears." I hiccupped, looking back at Michael who got a sleepy Nicholas out of his car seat.
"Stiles off being an FBI man?" I chuckled.
"You bet, but he's gonna be home soon."
Once Nicholas rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, they opened wide when he saw Uncle Noah.
"Grandpa!" He ran up, replacing me in Uncle Noah's arms.
"Look how big you are!" He said through a grin, "Oh I have waited for so long to hug on you." He startled tickling the little boy, causing a fit of giggles.
"Let's get you guys inside, I bet you're starving." He led us inside, Nicholas talking his ear off.
Dinner was good, but anything would be good since we had been eating Scottish cuisine for the last four years. Not that I didn't like the food there, it's just that nothing beat the tastes of home.
After dinner, Nicholas had crashed in the middle of the living room floor. Even after a cross-continental flight, he had enough energy to stay up way past his bedtime back home to talk and place with all the toys that Grandpa had bought him. Oddly enough, it was around that he would go to bed time-wise. Lachlan said that werewolves had an internal clock and always knew when to wake up and when to sleep. Yeah, tell that to all the sleepless nights in the first few months of his life.
Michael patted my hand and stood up, going into the living room and oh so carefully picked up the sleeping boy and took him upstairs to my old room. Leaving Uncle Noah and I with our coffee.
"Still nothing from Derek, huh?"
"Nada. Nicholas has never really asked."
"Does he think Michael's his dad?" He said over a sip from his mug.
"Oh absolutely not. As far as he knows, his dad is off having great adventures. That's what he's come up with."
"I thought you said Derek was going to be a part of his life."
"He was." I sipped my now cold coffee, "He tried for a while. He used to video call us for a couple months."
"There's daddy." I held the four month old in front of the camera as soon as Derek's face filled the screen. Nicholas made a cooing noise and reached for the screen with little grabby hands. Derek grinned brightly, the special twinkle in his eye that made my soul want to melt.
"There's my boy." His eyes searched the screen, "He still has so much hair."
I nodded, "Yeap. All thanks to you, Sasquatch." I sat the baby boy on my lap and kissed the top of his head. My attention was brought back to Derek where he was just staring at us with so much love and adoration that I wanted nothing more than to fly back to Beacon Hills.
"Did you get my package?" He asked, referring to the large box full of toys, clothes, pictures and random items that he was completely spoiling our child with.
"If you mean all the toys, yeah, we got it." I smiled, "He's in love with that little wolf plush. He can't sleep without it." As if on cue, Nicholas started whining until he was given the toy which was beside us on the bed. When I gave it he promptly started gumming on the ear.
"Yeah, I thought he might." He leaned on his hand and watched him, "Cora said that it was cliché but I don't care." Then he sat up like he had thought of something.
"What about your gift?" He leaned in towards the screen.
I shook my head and smiled, "I'm wearing it, aren't I?" I tugged at the hem of the shirt I was wearing. It was one of his black t-shirts, one that hadn't been torn or soiled with blood. It smelled just like him and I had been wearing it at night to sleep.
"Has he started showing any signs?"
I looked down at my baby, "Not that I can think of. But he's only a couple months old. Lachlan said that if he hasn't shown signs now, he may have the dormant gene. Since I was a werewolf when he was conceived he should more than likely be one. But no dice, he sleeps all night during the full moon. Or, that's what Michael tells me." He scoffed.
"What?"
"I guess Michael's the expert now."
"Derek, we're not doing this again."  Michael was a touchy subject.
"You know what?" He said, "I gotta go. I'll call you tomorrow." The video call ended.
~
"And that's the last time I heard from him." I got up and poured my cold coffee in the sink and started rinsing out the mug.
"That doesn't sound like Derek." He looked back at me, "But... It will be nice having people in the house again. With Stiles being gone all the time. Nicholas is great." He grinned, "A little rambunctious, but he's pretty great."
"You're telling me." I leaned against the counter after I turned off the sink, "His first word was momma. After that he started getting better and better. Talking all the time. He's almost fluent in Gaelic." I added, "Lachlan basically started a preschool program for the other kids after he was born. And while he's at preschool, I am leading their research team on the negative effects of the Wolf Eclipse spell and the intergenerational trauma that comes from it."
"Well look at that, my little girl, head of the research team." He stood up and walked to the sink, rinsing his cup and leaving it there.
"Just no big deal." I smirked.
"So when is Derek coming?" He asked, leaning against the counter.
I inhaled through my teeth and shrugged, "He doesn't know we're here. I've been trying to figure out how to talk to him since we got on the plane."
"Oh..." Uncle Noah grimaced, "Cause ya see, Stiles is working with Derek on something. And Derek's been staying here."
My eyes widened in shock, and my head whipped around just in time for the door to open. Stiles stood in the doorway, dressed in a collared shirt, tie, black slacks and dress shoes. I had not seen him this dressed up in a decade. But my focus was on the werewolf standing behind him, staring right back at me. He hadn't changed a bit, not that I expected him to look so different. But I hadn't heard from him in so long that he almost felt like a different person. Not even our connection could travel that far so seeing him now was strange. The connection we had was back again, my heart felt full after feeling half empty for so long. I was back where we started four years ago, the familiar strangers.
"God dammit." I whispered to myself before smiling awkwardly, "Uh... Surprise?"
"(Y/N)... Hey..." Stiles said in his Stiles fashion of being incredibly awkward. He rubbed the back of his neck, his eyes darting from me to Derek.
Derek had not taken his eyes off of me, just kept on staring on in confusion. It was like he couldn't fathom that I was actually standing in the kitchen.
"Where is he?" He asked softly.
“I-...” I had come up with some many things to say to him. I had even written them down. But they went poof out of my memory.
"Where is he?" His eyes changed color, but his eyes weren't alpha red, no. They were beta yellow again. He had lost his alpha status... But how. And how come they weren’t blue anymore? Obviously, Scott and Stiles had missed a few details. His eyes scanned the room and locked on Nicholas’ dinosaur sippy cup that he left on the table. That was all he needed before he started for the stairs. I blocked his path to the stairs, flashing my red eyes at him to show dominance. He couldn’t go past me, I was the alpha here.
Or, at least, that’s what I thought. When it came to his child, Derek Hale would stop at nothing to get to him. I would admire that if he wasn’t trying to get around me to get upstairs. He grabbed me by the arms, throwing me back towards the living room, storming up the stairs. I scrambled to follow, Stiles and Uncle Noah behind me, calling for him to stop.
When I made it up the stairs, I found him staring into the open doorway of my bedroom. He had an expression I couldn’t read, but his emotions came flooding out in anger and betrayal. Since he was distracted, I grabbed him by the back of his neck and threw him to the ground. He pulled me with him, flipping us so that he was on top, roaring down at me.
“Why did you keep him from me?!”
“You kept him from yourself!” I roared back.
“Mommy!” We both looked towards the doorway where Nicholas stood. He was wearing little footie pajamas, clutching onto his wolf. He was trembling at what he was witnessing.
Derek growled, sitting up quickly. I grabbed his arm, trying to get up. He had caught me so off guard that I was scrambling to keep up. He glared back, shoving me into the wall and walking towards the door. Nicholas screamed, running back into the room.
“YOU’RE SCARING HIM!” I screamed, reaching out. In his rage, I don’t think he realized what he was doing.
Then there was a pop and Derek fell on his back, a tranquillizer dart in his neck. I looked up, seeing Michael with the gun in one hand and crying Nicholas in the other. I stood up quickly, taking Nicholas in my arms, holding him close.
“It’s okay, baby. Mommy’s here. Everything’s alright.” I tried to sound reassuring, but it was hard too when I was looking down at my child’s father on the floor.
-
"It took a while but Nicholas went down. I was with him until he fell asleep." I slumped down on the couch next to Stiles. Stiles wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me into his side. I missed moments like this.
“I should have killed him.” Michael grumbled, pacing in front of us. Derek was tied up and sat against the wall. He was still passed out, he would be for a while. In the meantime, we need to figure out what we were going to do with him.
“Alright, cool it, dude.” Stiles narrowed his eyes up at him. He said that he still didn’t like Michael. Truth is, I didn’t either. A lot of things were still unclear, even now.
“We all just need to calm down and figure out what we’re doing.” Uncle Noah said, leaning forward in his recliner chair.
“Look, we just need to let him wake up and...” I sighed and leaned my head on Stiles’ shoulder, “I just need to talk to him, figure out what happened.”
Uncle Noah looked between Michael and I, “He told us that he-”
“It doesn’t matter what he told you.” Michael snapped. I looked up at him, narrowing my eyes.
“Watch your tone.” I said sternly. Michael sighed, sitting on the couch beside me, putting a hand on my knee. Stiles and I stared at his hand. I grabbed his hand and put it on his own knee.
"What?" He asked in an exasperated way.
"Please, we can't do that right now." It wasn't the answer he wanted to hear. But I don't really care about that. All I know is that we need to talk to Derek in a controlled environment. Which, unfortunately, was the last place I wanted to be.
"We need to bring him to the bunker in the Hale House.” Michael said.
I winced, "Do we have to? It's just..." I thought back to the day where I thought Derek and I were going to die. I thought our last moments together would be pain and ache from seeing each other die.
“(Y/N), he just traumatized Nicholas. I don't give a shit if he has PTSD. He's not under the protection of the Lunar Circle, his safety and well-being is not my priority." He stood and walked to Derek, ready to grab him.
“Wait a minute.” Michael stopped at my voice, his eyes darting from me to the sheriff, “Uncle Noah.” I turned towards him, “What did Derek say?”
“That doesn’t matter.” Michael said quickly.
“She isn't talking to you.” Stiles said, standing up and moving between Michael and I. I looked at Uncle Noah.
“What did he say?” I asked calmly.
Uncle Noah sat back in his recliner, “Well...” He rolled his shoulders back, “Derek said that he was frustrated that he couldn’t get ahold of you. And when he tried to go through Michael, he said not to call because you didn’t want to talk to him.” I smiled to myself, clicking my tongue. I turned to Michael, my smile falling and my eyes burning red.
“Did I?” I chuckled, “I had no idea.” I stood up and stalked forward, shoving Michael, “You kept him from calling us, didn’t you?”
Michael raised his hands in surrender, “You just seemed so angry with him after that call, I thought-”
“No, you didn’t think.” I interrupted, “You selfish son of a bitch.”
“I am doing what’s best for Nicholas.” He shot back.
“Whoa whoa.” Uncle Noah got between the two of us, “Put the claws away.” Stiles pulled me away from the situation, leading me outside. He brought me to the backyard, the cool night air felt nice against the hot anger I felt.
“Thanks for taking me out of there.” I smiled, “I probably would have killed him.”
“Trust me, the thought crossed my mind.” Stiles shoved his hands in his pockets, “I mean,” He shrugged, “It wouldn’t be so horrible if ended up in a ditch somewhere. He’s a murderer on the run for four years, I feel like it would be fine.”
I laughed, pulling him close into a tight hug, “I missed you.”
He smiled, wrapping his arms around my shoulders, “I missed you too.”
-
The next morning, Stiles, Scott, and I met outside the Hale House cellar. Michael was already there, having taken Derek down already to ‘secure’ him.
“Well, if it isn’t Scott McCall.” I said, spotting the alpha. The computer screen didn’t do him justice. He had grown so much in four years. He had a new energy about him, he wasn’t a curly haired boy anymore.
“(Y/N).” He grinned, pulling me into a quick hug, “I was gonna visit yesterday to surprise you but Stiles said it was a bad idea.”
“Very bad idea.” I looked towards the entrance of the cellar. Going back in there was going to bring up memories, I could almost feel the phantom pains from the acid on my legs.
“You okay?” Stiles asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.
“I got this.” I smiled back at both of them, “I got my boys with me.”
Walking through the tunnels to the cellar was more than enough to give me nightmares for a long time. But Michael was right about one thing: we needed to tell Derek what was going on in a controlled environment.
By the time we got down to the main area, Michael was putting the handcuffs on Derek, leaving him chained to the wall surrounded by mountain ash.
“You brought back up, huh?” Michael asked, shoving the bottle of mountain ash in his pocket.
“I brought my friends. Derek will feel more comfortable around people he trusts. I would be one of them, no thanks to you.” I looked back at Derek, "He'll be awake soon?"
Michael only nodded.
"Will he be okay? This won't hurt him, right?" He turned to me and glared.
"You're still in love with this asshole, aren't you?" He growled, "After everything he's done to you? After everything we," He motioned between us, "Have been through? After I have spent four years of our lives taking care of our child? You still care about this sack of garbage." Scott and Stiles stepped forward, I stretched my arms out to keep them from moving.
I narrowed my eyes at him, “Michael-”
"No, you're going to listen to me!" He shouted, "I can't believe you. You went through all his shit and you still love him? You still love that stupid son of a bitch. You see this?" He motioned to Derek, "You see this asshole? Who scared the shit out of our baby? You didn't see what I saw. He was screaming and crying out for me, begging me to save you, begging his father to save you from the bad man. Even he can tell who loves him, who his real father is!"
“The.." We all looked at Derek, who was just starting to wake up, "The hell do you mean," He began to growl, beginning to shift, "His father?" Derek stood up, a little wobbly at first but he stood strong. He had also shifted form. “Nicholas is my son! My flesh and blood! My family! You kept him from me, you kept both of them from me!" He roared and stood, pulling at the chains.
"You left them behind because of all your jealousy. I took care of him! I've protected him from everything, and for the rest of my life, I will protect him from you!" Michael pointed, barking his words harshly.
Suddenly, Derek broke his chains, "I'll kill you!" He pushed against the mountain ash barrier. Scott rushed forward to keep Derek at bay while Stiles started a shouting match with Michael. All of this shouting began to overload my senses. I hadn’t felt like this since the spell broke all those years ago. I had to do something, and I had to do it now.
"ENOUGH!" I roared, making the walls shake and thankfully bringing their attention to me, "No more talking, I'm talking now." They all shut up and looked up at me.
“Michael, I’m not even going to get started with you since this whole situation is your goddamn fault.” I rubbed at my temples, “The only reason that I am even still entertaining you being here is because of my son. Mine. Not yours.” I looked at Derek, “I’m sorry. I didn’t know that Michael had cut off our communication.”
“So he told you?” Derek continued to glare at Michael.
“No, I had to figure it out for myself.” I walked towards the barrier, my heart beat rising, “You deserved to be a part of his life from the beginning. I should have fought more.” I took a deep breath, “I should have fought for us.”
“It’s not your fault.” He said softly. Stiles walked towards us, breaking the barrier with his shoe.
The force of Derek’s arms wrapping around me nearly knocked me over. His strong arms held me tightly against his chest. I could feel his heart pumping against his chest. One arm was wrapped around my wait, his other hand cradling the back of my head like I would break. I wrapped my arms around him with the same force, if not more. He was so warm, I could almost feel his heat melting away the sadness I had felt for four years. Honestly, I wanted the whole world to fall away at that moment, it felt like I was falling in love with him all over again starting from the time we were teenagers.
The game was in its final minutes, we were behind by two points. One shot from the three point line and they would win. After the toss up, the opposing team got the ball, leading to our hoop. Derek's teammate quickly weaved through the other players, intercepting the ball and passing it to Derek. I stood up with the rest of the crowd, my whole body tensing up as the clock ticked down. He shot the ball.
Watching Derek play basketball was almost as nerve wracking as being on the lacrosse field. It took everything in me not to make call outs to him. I was bouncing my feet instead of my usual finger twiddling since my arm had been torn up yesterday. Laura had to practically hold me in my seat from her spot besides me. It was a training incident that had gone wrong. Derek had his claws out while I had our training shield. I had gotten distracted and Derek scratched me by accident. My parents were pissed.
Three...
Two...
One...
The ball rolled around the rim and then fell through the basket.
I cheered, raising my arms in the air, ignoring the pain from my cuts. The team surrounded him, jumping up and down in excitement. Derek looked up at the stands, pointing towards, realistically both of us but I felt like it was right at me. My heart fluttered a bit and I smiled so hard my cheeks hurt. My cheeks burned hot.
“You blushing, (Y/N/N)?” Laura smirked, looking down at me.
“What?” My eyes widened, “No.” I started rubbing my cheeks in circles, but Laura stopped me by grabbing my hands and carefully putting them to my sides. Which was helpful since it was starting to hurt my arm.
“Chill out.” She smiled, nodding her head towards the exit, “Let’s go see the big winner.” I nodded, focusing more on hiding my blush than walking so Laura helped me off the bleachers and outside.

Proudly Dean puffs his chest when he walks past his father. Sam left the house moments ago, not wanting to wait for his mother’s judgment.
“So, no sharing?” John carefully tries. He’s looking at his son, nodding silently when Dean points toward his mother’s office. “I will wait for the alpha’s words.”
Your mind races with every step Dean takes closer to his part of the house. Mary, the alpha saved you from the others and it’s a relief but – What about the alpha holding you in his arms?
“You’re safe with me, ‘mega. No one will touch my true mate. Let me bring you to my bedroom and we can have dinner. I don’t want my father and brother close to you again tonight.” Dean whispers and you look over your shoulder to meet John’s eyes.
“What if they do not follow your mother's order?” Choking the words out you wrap your arms tighter around Dean’s neck. “What will they do to me?”
“My mothers’ words, the alpha’s words are final, sweetheart. She decided tonight that you are mine. No one will dare to act against her order, or he’ll die. No matter if it’s her husband or son.”
“Dean, can I talk to your omega for a moment?” Mary’s words sound like a question, but Dean knows, it’s an order. “Only five minutes to clarify a few things.”
Your heart races when Dean whines low in his throat. He fears, just like you, that the head of the family changed her mind. “Please…”
“Calm, Dean. I only want to talk to her in private for a few moments. Let me take her to my private rooms to calm her.” Mary watches Dean reluctantly placing you onto your feet and can see the fear in your eyes when she holds out her hands.
“Maybe she’s not yours…” John whispers, causing Dean to snarl into his father’s direction. “A free omega now enslaved could bring us a lot of money.”
“Silence, omega.” Mary’s face contorts in anger feeling the tremble of your hand. “Go to our room and reconsider your words in front of your alpha. I will have a short conversation with Dean’s omega…”
Tumblr media
“Sit over there, Y/N. Take a deep breath and don’t be afraid of me.” Mary sits on a chair opposite the couch she wanted you to sit on. “I have to tell you a few things, make sure you know the rules of our family.”
You nod silently, not wanting Mary to get mad. “Okay…” A single word is all you can choke out when the alpha looks at you. Her gaze too intense for you to hold you glance at your shoes.
“Dean is a good man, he made mistakes and is part of this business but, with you, he seems calmer. My eldest needs someone who tames him, who shows him the ropes of being a good alpha. I think you are headstrong and feisty enough to do so.” Her words let your head snap upwards and Mary chuckles lightly.
“As an alpha, I am used to have control, my dear but…” She gets up to sit next to you. “As a woman, I always had to fight for my rights in this world. The reason why John is the face of our organization is the same that you will have to wear Dean’s mark.”
“Public opinion?” Mumbling the words, you give Mary a cracked smile. “People do not like feisty omegas or strong women.”
“Exactly, sweetie. When my father died, there was no male alpha to take over his empire. Only I was left. John, I met him a few months later and knew, he’s my true mate. I had to have him, even tho, I was like Dean back then.
Independent and not interested in having a permanent partner I drifted through life until I found John. He was a tall man, a strong one. No one would believe he’s omega. I chose him and we agreed he’ll take over the empire in public while I’ll pull the strings behind the scenes…”
“Can I ask you why…” Mary pats your thigh, nodding as she knows what you want to ask her.
“You want to know why John is allowed to have sex with other omegas? He needs it, needs to have control from time to time. He’s a façade, a strong hand in public but my sweet omega when we are together. I can’t be weak, can’t give him control over me, but those girls can.”
“Oh-I see.” You nod silently, not wanting to imagine that your alpha will seek comfort in other girls’ arms.
“Dean is different, Y/N. He’s alpha and used to having control. No need to worry. My son will not be unfaithful. Now…”
Getting up Mary walks toward a commode to open the first drawer. “Take this until Dean puts a mark on your neck. This means you belong to the Winchesters, Dean to be specific.”
Handing you an amulet Mary nods encouragingly. “Wear it inside and outside the house.”
“Thank…you.” With shaking fingers, you put the amulet around your neck. “I…I still don’t know how to feel about this…”
“I know, Y/N. You were a free omega and suddenly Dean bought you but…” Cupping your cheek Mary gives you a soft smile. “He’s your alpha and you are his omega.”
Tumblr media
Dean is slowly going insane in front of his mother’s room. He’s pacing, followed by low whines while he waits for you to return.
The door finally opens, and the first thing Dean does is to bring you into his arms. No matter what his mother decided, he’ll fight for you.
“We are done. Now have dinner and find some rest. I think Y/N knows everything she needed to hear to become your omega.” Mary hides the smirk when Dean picks you up to race toward his bedroom.
Tumblr media
“What did she say? What did you talk about?” Dean looks you all over after he placed you carefully onto his bed. “Y/N?”
“Girls talk.” Lips pursed you don’t give away Mary counts on you to ‘tame’ her eldest pup. Giggling at the memory of Mary calling Dean pup you try to hide the grin. “I can’t tell you what we were talking about. ”
“You are already conspiring with my mother? How’d I end up being played by my mother and omega?” Whining Dean sits next to you. “Can you not tell me anything?”
Blinking a few times, you watch Dean give you puppy dog eyes. “She called you pup.” Giggling again you shrug when Dean looks at you in awe. “It was kinda cute. That’s all you’ll get.”
“She gave you my necklace.” Dean touches the amulet Mary gave you with shaking fingers. “This means she agreed to our bond.” Purrs leave Dean’s lips when he starts to nuzzle you.
“Can you not smell that…intoxicating?” You try to fight your instinct, but your inner omega takes over and you return every purr from your mate. “Why do you have to do this to me?”
“I am yours, and you are mine, Y/N. Please…” While Dean becomes bold and presses his lips to your mating gland you fist his hair. “Please…”
“I am hungry, Winchester. Your mother, the head of the family, told you to take care of me. Do I have to go to her tell her you wanted to cuddle instead of feeding me?” Dean’s eyes widen and his mouth falls open at your dominant tone.
“No. I-uh… I’ll go to the kitchen with you. You can choose what you want to eat, sweetheart…”
Tumblr media
“Crap, we don’t have orange juice. Let me go to the pantry. You can butter the toast.” Dean hates to leave you alone but it’s only for a minute so his eyes dart between the door and you.
“Isn’t that your job?” Bold you grin up at Dean when he realizes what you tried to say. “What?”
He’s grinning wildly, even chuckles as you just made a dirty joke. “You’re a dirty girl, omega. I’d like to butter your toast but for now, I want to eat it.”
Dean walks out of the kitchen, still laughing at your joke while you try to concentrate on the toast.
Your eyes drift toward the window and you wonder if you could go for a run. You are still torn between wanting your freedom back and the way Dean makes you feel. The warm feeling in your belly gets stronger every time he’s close and you are sure, sooner or later you will not be able to resist his scent and the way he looks at you.
Lost in thoughts you giggle at the memory of his dirty grin when you made a joke. “Did you find the juice, or do you want me to help you out?” Your eyes meet darkened hazel ones and you almost drop the toast.
“Look at you, omega, already comfortable in our kitchen.” Sam steps closer, a grin on his lips. “You know that you are no one special to him. Like every other omega, you have to work to get food.” His hands grasp your arms and you drop the toast to the ground.
“Keep the toast and everything else but let me go.” Sam wants to nuzzle you but the necklace around your neck stops him. “I am Dean’s…”
Sam drops his hands to his sides, even steps backward to give you space, and the moment you see your chance you dash toward the door to run back into Dean’s bedroom.

“Y/N?” Watching you curled into a ball, shaking in fear Dean’s stomach tightens. Moments ago, you made a dirty joke and he had the feeling you feel more comfortable around him and now you are scared again. “What happened?” A scent catches Dean’s attention and he leans over you to sniff at your skin. “Sam…”
“He…he said I am no one special and that I have to work for the toast. I…I dropped it. Sorry.” Tears well-up to your eyes when Dean wraps his arms around your shaking body to bring you close to his chest.
Desperate you bury your face into his neck to scent the alpha. He’s slowly running his hands over your hair, arms, and back to calm you. “What did he do?”
“He grabbed my arms and said those things. Then he saw the amulet and let go of me. I ran into your room to feel safe.” Tiny sobs leave your lips and you are close to crying when a knock makes you jump.
“Son, we need to…” John waltzes into Dean’s bedroom, Sam hot on his heels. “You shouldn’t act like a needy omega. Soon you will have enough of that girl and toss her away like the other toys. Stop cuddling and let’s talk like men.”
“Needy omega?” Huffing Dean looks at his father while you refuse to let go of the alpha. “What about you during your heat? Your Alpha treats you with respect, always.”
“Son, do not compare my relationship with your mother with your obsession with that meek girl.” In a split-second, Dean’s head snaps upward and his teeth grit. If not for you holding him in a tight grip, he would’ve attacked his father.
“Sweetheart, I’ll be right back.” Whispering the words against your skin Dean presses soft kisses to your forehead. “Just a minute, Y/N.”
Dean leaves the bed, to guide his father and brother out of the room you were seeking shelter in. You can hear your alpha growl, even snarl while his father and brother remain silent.
Your body is still shaking so you grasp for the sleepshirt Dean is hiding under his pillow to press it to your nose. The alpha’s scent always calms you, even if you would never admit it.
“She’s mine! Live with it or I’ll fight you with all my strength. Our alpha confirmed our bond. Never touch my omega again.” The door slams shut and you only hear low whines when Dean looks at you on his bed.
Still clinging to his shirt you look at the alpha who carefully steps closer. “I smell like him. I don’t like it, Dean.”
“I’ll prepare a shower, okay. You will relax and I’ll call Ellen for food. She will bring it to our room. No need to leave it again.” Slowly sitting up you grasp for Dean’s wrist when he wants to walk toward the bathroom.
“I want to stay by your side.”
Tumblr media
“I’ll be waiting outside the room, sweetheart. If you need anything, holler for me. I can bring you more towels or…” You shake your head, grasp for Dean again as he tries to leave the room.
“Can’t you stay? Please.” Sam’s words, the way he treated you and John made you vulnerable again. You don’t know why, but you the thought Dean will leave you alone scares you more than anything else.
“You will be naked, Y/N.” Dean murmurs when you nuzzle your face into his chest. “I should wait outside.” Humming you wrap your arms around the tall alpha, not wanting to let go.
“Don’t make me weak, ‘mega. Have a shower or a warm bath and I promise to wait outside.” He tries again but you shake your head, sniffling. “Baby Girl…”
“I want a bath…but…but stay.” Clinging to Dean you whine when he walks backward to run a bath for you.
He tries so hard to fight your embrace but, in the end, he gives in. “It’s big enough for us. You’ll close your eyes and we can go in…both.” Not accepting any argument, you look up at Dean.
“Jesus, you have me wrapped around your pinkie. Back to back, Y/N. I’ll go in first and you can step inside the tub. No peeking. Promised.” Nodding you let go of Dean and you stand back to back to strip off your clothes.
Dean is nervously chewing on his lower lip when he steps into the warm water, trying so hard not to glance at your naked form when he sits in the bathtub.
“Done, sweetheart. Get in before it gets cold.” Still not opening his eyes Dean listens to your clumsy try to enter the bathtub. Giggles escape your lips, along with a loud squeal as you feel the warm water surround you.
Dean waits for you to sit opposite him but you scoot closer to lean your back against his chest. A sharp intake of breath later he feels your body against his and the alpha purrs low in his throat.
“I want to wash his stink off, alpha. I don’t like it.” Humming Dean gently runs a washcloth over your left arm. “Why is Sam like that? John, I understand. Mary told me about a few things but Sam…he’s…”
“Different since an accident. Five years ago, he lost his mate in a fire. We assume it was Ketch. Sam survived but for Jess, it ended badly. When Sam woke from coma months later, he was a different man. Colder. More calculated. A better mobster but not the man he used to be.” Dean explains while he gently moves the washcloth over your right arm.
“Maybe the loss of his mate changed him.” Soft lips press against your shoulder and you shudder feeling Dean’s hands wander to your stomach. “Dean…” Falling back against Dean’s chest you guide his hands to your chest.
“Not tonight, Y/N. We’ll do this the right way, or we won’t do it at all.” Whispering a promise into your ear Dean hopes Sam learned his lesson after he got a black eye from his big brother…
Tumblr media
“Sam.” Mary scolds, looking at the black eye. “What did you think you are doing?”
“I…I was jealous. I still remember how it feels having a true mate. I wanted Dean to feel the pain I felt. It was his fault Ketch was after me and Jess!” Sam snarls through gritted teeth.
“No, it wasn’t Sam.” Sam’s eyes never leave his mother’s face when she gently pats his cheek. “Dean took the blame, but it was me telling your father to not make the deal. They tried to hurt the head of our organization and chose the weakest member…you.”
“It was you?” Sam steps backward, shaking his head furiously.
“I sent all men to your apartment after I got to know Ketch wouldn’t go after John or Dean. I wanted to save you and your mate, but it was too late.
When you stumbled out of the fired, Jess in your arms your brother knew, you would hate me, so he took the blame. It was the best-hidden secret, Sam. If you want to hate someone, hate me. Let Dean have his tiny piece of happiness.” Mary’s eyes sadden watching her youngest fall onto an armchair with a heavy sigh.
“I treated Dean badly, just like any girl he brought here. How could everyone watch me hurting my brother knowing it wasn’t his fault? I would’ve forgiven you but Dean, he said it was his idea to follow Ketch.”
“I think, he tried to make sure you believe it was him. Truth is, he raced toward your apartment without waiting for back-up after I told him Ketch will go after you…”
“I’ll need time to think about a few things. Do not try to contact me while I am away. I will call you if I am ready…” Sam’s words let Mary sniffle but her face remains stoic - she has to be the alpha after all...

4, 11, or 42 with destiel? I'm thinking intently about Them
Okay so here’s the thing.
I thought, “oh wow 4 (An accidental brush of lips followed by a pause and going back for another, on purpose) will be so interesting!!! I’ve got the perfect scene in mind!!
Wait. Wait I kind of want to establish what sort of mindset Dean is in for this to happen. Okay, let me establish the scene and the mindset. Well, I don’t wanna vaguely reference this thing so let me just—
15k later here is your accidental brush of the lips followed by a pause and going back for another. If you well and truly do not want to read this whole thing (and I shan’t blame you) if you skip to the second line break, you’ll have the scene. Like, it probably could have stood on its own but this happened.
Read it On AO3 (or skip to the good stuff undercut)
50 Kisses Prompt List 💕💕
The motel room was quiet. Dean was grateful to be miles away from Florida. The Midwest roads were more familiar. Baby took every inch of road greedily, happily, without cars burning rubber all around her. Steepling his hands on the table in front of him, Dean felt his leg bounce with anxious energy. The small, clay dolphin stared back at him with beady eyes.
He looked up when the bathroom door opened, Cas stepping out without a word. His freshly washed hair clung to his skin. The wound on his shoulder was bright red and raw, but healing. Dean pressed his lips together.
“I can patch that for you.” He nodded to Cas’ shoulder. It was probably the first thing Dean had said to Cas directly ever since they had left Marissa’s apartment two days ago.
Cas paused in his trek toward the bed that held his duffle bag and a sleeping Jack. He inhaled slowly, grabbing the bandages before moving to sit at the table beside Dean. Their knees were a hair’s breadth from knocking against one another. Wordlessly, he handed Dean the gauze and ointment before shifting to place his shoulder between them.
Dean took the ointment, squelching some of it into his palm. He exhaled shakily, slathering it gently over Cas’ wound. Cas barely winced and yet the muscle of his arm felt tense beneath Dean’s hand.
When Dean began to wrap his shoulder, Cas spoke. “Dean,” he called in that gentle, charged way of his. He didn’t continue until Dean could tear his gaze away from the angry wound, look into those blue eyes. “Thank you.”
“You don’t have to thank me,” Dean pushed, reaching for the scissors so that he could cut and secure the wrap. “That’s what we do. Save people. Hunt things.”
“Dean,” Cas whispered, putting his hand to Dean’s wrist and halting his movements. “You saved my life. Jack’s life.” He sighed. “I don’t care that you think this a thankless occupation. I thank you.”
“Cas,” his name felt ripped from Dean’s throat. It felt desperate. Just as desperate as he had felt in that fucking dungeon months ago. A lifetime ago. Where Dean was speechless but begging Cas not to go. Not to say that. Not to bring them both past the point of no return by acknowledging this.
But it was there. The elephant was named. It was stampeding in Dean’s chest and rioting. Thundering and booming in his ears and sending lightning through his veins. They were here and Dean couldn’t ignore it. Or he could—he could—but he had been ignoring it. Ignoring it by pretending it didn’t mean anything. By saying that there was no elephant and thinking that Cas would just be here.
Cas’ gaze flickered over Dean’s face like a waning candle. He was looking for something. Dean wished he knew what the hell Cas was searching for. He would give it to him. He’d give Cas anything he wanted—
He knew what Cas wanted. Cas fucking told him what he wanted.
Whatever he was searching for, he didn’t find. Or maybe he found what he was expecting. Nothing new. Nothing new from Dean who just refused to acknowledge his best friend’s love confession. His dying love confession.
“We appreciate it, Dean.” He said finally. “Not only all the people you save, but Jack and I. We appreciate you, Dean.”
“I know how you feel, Cas.” Dean spoke sharply, perhaps a bit callously. Cas didn’t flinch though. He looked goddamn resigned.
Cas sighed, “I know you do.” He smiled sadly. An echo of that night. “I told you.” Looking at his hands in his lap, Cas huffed a laugh under his breath. He pulled his shoulder away from Dean, straightening in his seat. “Regardless, you know what I think of you. You know that I…”
Dean swallowed heavily. “Yeah, Cas. I know.” Dean reached for the supplies on the table, fingers attempting to catch the gauze tape in his grip. Instead, the tape rolled, threatening to fall off the table’s edge. Dean reached forward thoughtlessly, not realizing he was leaning into Cas’ space until he was there and then—
Soft.
Cas’ lips were soft even with a barely-there brush of their lips. Dean pulled back, the tape forgotten as it clattered to the floor. Quiet enough that it didn’t wake a sleeping Jack, but loud in Dean’s ears. Cas looked at Dean with wide eyes, crystal blue attempting to peer into Dean’s soul.
Dean rested his palm on the table, his forearm brushing against Cas’ bare skin. Inhaling sharply, Dean leaned in again, this time with purpose, tilting his head and brushing his nose along Cas’ cheek.
A sharp inhale from Cas as his eyes fluttered shut. Dean could almost feel it against his own eyes. Something like a butterfly kiss. Parting his lips slowly, Dean tilted his chin until he could feel Cas’ lips beneath his again. Dean’s lips pressed into a firm line, a reassuring pressure against Cas. Cas gasped, shuttering and opening his mouth for Dean to press in deeper.
Taking the plunge, Dean held Cas’ face in his hands, fingers clutching at Cas’ cheeks as Cas, in turn, grasped at his wrists and held him in place. Dean returned Cas’ gasp, inhaling the breath from Cas’ mouth. He could feel his mouth quiver and his body shake where he held himself against Cas.
When they pulled apart—however long it was—Dean held his forehead to Cas’. A lump formed in his throat, closing off his attempt at words. “Cas—”
The pad of Cas’ right thumb swiped at Dean’s cheek, taking him by surprise. He sucked in a shaking breath, opening his eyes to watch as Cas gently swabbed at his cheek. Those damnable tears—the tears Dean couldn’t get out of his head for months—were present in Cas’ eyes. They made his gaze look like an ethereal, shimmering pool.
Dean had seen those tears every time he closed his eyes. Every nightmare he had. But in all of that terror he had experienced in that moment, he had forgotten what Cas was saying. That Cas said he was happy. That the Empty—the Shadow—whatever the hell it was—only took Cas when he was happy.
And now here he was. Happy. Happy enough to cry about it, but without the looming threat of a deal or a god or anything that could take him away from Dean.
“You can’t leave,” Dean whispered, voice scraping a raw path up his throat. “You can’t, Cas. I won’t survive it again.”
“I swear that I will never willingly leave your side,” Cas sighed, fluttering his eyes shut and leaning to press another sweet and slow kiss to Dean’s lips. When he drew back, Dean felt life breathe back into him again. Inhaled it, gobbled it, choked on it until his tears came anew. “I promise, Dean.”
Dean choked on a wet laugh, stealing another soft kiss that Cas was there and offering. “I want you to stay.” He whispered his confession into Cas’ mouth, opening the kiss further, deepening it further. Tame, but reaching. “Please stay.”
“There’s nowhere I’d rather be.” Cas sighed, fingers raking through the short hairs against Dean’s neck with one hand and his right hand clutching in an achingly familiar way against Dean’s shoulder. Dean steadied himself by gripping at Cas’ waist, holding him to the edge of his seat and meeting him halfway.
“God, I love you,” Dean laughed, ducking his head and peering at Cas from beneath his lashes. “I love you.” He said again. Because he could. Because he could stare at this elephant and call it by its name, parade it about and drape it in bright colors with pride.
Cas smiled and it reached his eyes. Dried up his happy tears and flashed his gums. “I know,” he spoke in that gentle rasp of his, like the purr of Baby’s engine.
Dean laughed again, quiet and mindful of Jack. “Oh, you’re such a bastard,” he swallowed Cas’ low chuckle, felt it in his chest, and hungrily asked for more. Cas hummed into his open mouth, a satisfied noise that Dean hoped to hear every day for the rest of his goddamn life.
Ramble On drew them away, Dean’s phone lighting up on the table and alerting him to a call. He sighed, pressed a tight-lipped kiss to the corner of Cas’ mouth for good measure before answering his phone.
“Hey, Sammy.” He rasped, his voice low and gravel-filled. Dean cleared his throat between his words and Sam’s.
“Hey, I didn’t wake you, did I?” Sam asked softly, his little brother’s concern near palpable.
Dean cleared his throat again for good measure, flickering his gaze to Cas. “Nah, I was up. What’s up?”
Sam gave a relieved-sounding sigh. “Finally finished the leg up to the rendezvous. Garth was pretty excited. I think it’s going to work out.”
Leaning back in his seat and closing his eyes, Dean ran a hand over his face. “Good. That’s good,” he answered, and he meant it. He felt fingers intertwine with his own and looked to Cas in surprise. Almost naturally, Dean squeezed his grip on Cas’ hand.
“Marissa’s walking better,” Sam informed Dean. “Alpha healing worked out pretty well. Sometimes I forget how good of a shot you are.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Dean huffed, but couldn’t keep his lips from quirking into a smile.
Sam laughed on the other end of the line and Dean could imagine his eyes crinkling with that puppy dog look of his. “Nothing, old man,” he said affectionately. "D’you guys wanna meet up in Sioux Falls? We could visit Jody and the girls.”
“Sounds good to me,” letting out a sigh, Dean turned to face Cas fully. “Claire and Jack can catch up. I’m sure you and the book club have got a new chapter to gush over.”
Dean could see Sam’s rolling eyes at the remark, but Sam let it slide. “And what are you gonna do?”
Dean grinned, pulling Cas’ hand up to his face, just pressing his lips on Cas’ knuckles for a moment. “I could go for a midnight cruise.”
Cas’ eyes sparked, smile warming like caramel under the soft motel lights. He squeezed Dean’s hand in return.
“Alright. I’m checking into a motel for the night. I’ll call you guys in the morning when I’m on the road.”
“See ya then,” Dean signed off, removing the phone from his ear to hang up. He swiped the red button before turning to face Cas. “I know you and the kid usually share a bed but—” he started.
Cas chuckled under his breath. “I think I might be persuaded.” He teased, dominating eyebrow arching on his forehead in silent challenge.
“I can be very persuasive,” Dean retorted, leaning again to press another soft, earth-shattering kiss to the lips of an angel.
