knux taught himself to read as a kid from the echidna murals and whatnot and was genuinely proud of himself when he found out that was a kinda impressive thing to do... until sonic pointed out it that it’s a completely different language than the rest of the world uses and now he’s frustrated,, i stand by this for boom knux lad’s just struggling with being bilingual

did NOT mean for these to get so serious/vaguely sad so also: knux is v protective of charmy and tails bc he didn’t feel safe when he was that age but also he’s. not great with kids so he’s just that awkward older bro figure who means well but is also still trying to figure out what poggers means. charmy thinks it’s hilarious and tails feels bad for laughing sometimes but has to gently let him down. he’s trying his best agshdjdk

okay barely a headcanon bc it’s mostly just canon but i love that you could literally never pull the “oh they abandoned you/left you behind/never really cared” bullshit with him and sonic. they care about and believe in each other so wholeheartedly that even in the most drastic times they will literally always care about each other and make sure they make it out okay and that kinda thing is only possible with such a deep and strong bond from being each other’s closest friends for almost their entire lives and it makes me 🥺 constantly

also tails fucks with sonic sometimes and uses fake sciencey words to mess with him. he 100% once told him to get blinker fluid from the auto store
