So apparently New Amsterdam is ending after next season. I don’t know how to feel. If they got cancelled back in season 2 I would’ve been sad but now, with how all over the place everything has been I’m kind of like oh well. What I want most is for Sharpwin to stay together and maybe have a five year flash forward with a kid and for Lauren and Leyla to also reconcile and get to a really good place. The rest I really don’t give a fuck about, especially Floyd. Iggy was my fave until they made him unbearable and the new people are so boring to me tbh.

I think it's sad for people who need to work and especially those in the entertainment field who aren't getting paid a ton of money that are going to be out of work but here's my feelings on most shows;

There are too many episodes, not enough episodes of value or content and most shows run for too long.

I think most shows should be about 5 seasons long. You get really good closure if there is a clear trajectory. UK shows do it all the time.

And ditto. I would love to see a future where Sharpwin are parents not only to Luna but a baby of their own too.

Lauren and Leyla absolutely deserve a second chance.

Iggy AND Floyd to be honest just dissolved as characters. Like, HOW do you start with such promise and then rapidly decline? It's like we are seeing the trope of growing to watch your heroes turn into humans or monsters in front of you. I don't really care anymore about them. Like none of it. #teammartin #teambaptise.

I liked Dr. Wilder. I was interested in seeing her life. I wanted to see what it was like being a deaf adult, successful, but navigating the world with her disability. We never get that.

I hope they defeat Veronica and bring back all the staff they let go.

But it's okay, I don't think I could've seen a show like New Amsterdam going on like Grey's or ER and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
