I really wanna know about what made you create Rosethorn, like how you got the idea, did his lore evolved a lot, stuff like that

Also what's your process when you create selfinserts? Do you think of a design first then creates a lore? Or is it the opposite?

ok genuinely? mainly because i really really liked Antasma at least from the gameplays i saw (and juno song i gotta admit lol)

at first i wanted to go on with a simple mario OC tbh and it gotta be flower based. but not something as simple as a Toad or a goomba yk? and by that time i only started playing the RPGs to understand the hype more (y'all were so right lol) like i wanted a character unique enough that everyone can recognize but not too complicated to work well in-universe . and eventually i got the idea of a knight/prince cuz that work SO WELL in this context yk?

idk i had his design somewhat INSTANTLY perfect enough , like i had the final design in mind from the start and i had to draw it.

as for the story i had to, yk , actually play dream team and SSS and do some reserches to evolve it. and also try character ai lol

like his original lore isn't soooo different from the final one. but i'm more satisfied with everything about him now! he's just even more complicated and believable !

as for the second question:

yea it's always design first and one or two important info about the character and the f/o

expl: rosethorn being a prince who does NOT wanna get another higher royal position to contrast to Antasma who's a king but nobody actually treats him like such. along the fact that flowers and bats are in symbiosis irl

like in a way i try to make sure selfinserts are believable enough and that they bounce off the f/os personality and design !
