take me home, please? sugawara koushi x reader content; helping out a co-worker when he had a headache really makes you feel like his mom sometimes- aka pure fluff words: 1120
Just how did you end up in these situations? Likely due to who you chose to be friends with.
So as you stood in front of Sugawara’s third grade class, talking about the school library, you couldn’t help but notice the shit-eating grin Koushi had on his face. The exact same face from high school. He had a raised eyebrow, and was jutting out his bottom a little in amusement at your dialogue.
You clasp your hands together, “Does anyone have any questions.”
In the back, Sugawara raises his hand while sitting at his teacher’s desk. You rephrase your statement, “Which of you students has a question about our school library?”
The bug-eyed seven and eight year olds looked at each other for a moment, then just blankly stared back at you.
You slowly nod, embracing the awkwardness. As the librarian at Ohya Elementary School, you weren’t really ever in charge of teaching lessons, you just talked to students about books when they would come for library time during the week. But Sugawara, your high school friend, now co-worker, had asked- no, practically begged- you to come and teach his students about all it takes to be a librarian.
Sugawara stood up, clapping his hands three times and his students copied the motion.
“Alrighty, Rose class, we’re on lunch duty today, go wash up. Make sure to thank our lovely librarian for teaching us a little bit about her job.”
The littles ran up to you, forming a single file line. One would bow, before rushing out the classroom to wash up. You kept repeating small slight bows with just your head. After 20 nods of your head, you felt a little dizzy, but could manage.
“Koushi, if you surprise me with having to talk to your students again, I won’t hesitate to complain to the administration. You’re the teacher, you’re the one who's supposed to teach.” You sit down on one of the little desks, your feet comfortably reaching the floor due to the lack of height to the small table.
Sugawara tucks his hands into his pockets, shrugging. He sits down next to you, on a separate desk, stretching his legs out across the rainbow carpet below your feet.
“I like it when you teach though, your eyes get that mix of fear and excitement.” He chuckles.
“Because your kids are freaking scary!” You whisper-yell, throwing a hand up in exasperation. “Ever seen a seven year old not act like an ankle biter? I don’t think so.”
You shiver a little, thinking about the grubby fingers. But all the students made up for the childish grossness they carried when they would hold a book up to you so you could check it out for them. The way they’d say thank you for helping them find a good book to read, or even when they’d ask to hold your hand when walking into the far back corner of your library. Those were the moments that made your job worth it in the end.
“Still, thank you for teaching a lesson. My headache is still pounding.” Sugawara holds a hand up to his temple, rubbing it in circles.
Even though it had been a shock when Sugawara poked his head into your office a few hours ago, you accepted his request fairly quickly. Because you could see the clenched jaw and squinted eyes he had in reaction to the brightness in your office.
“Mrs. Ito is going to take your class for their lunch duties yeah?” You ask, standing up from the table. Sugawara had asked the fellow third grade teacher to watch his kids for the rest of the day so he could go home to rest up. Mrs. Ito was a very no-nonsense woman, she would run his class like the army, but hopefully tomorrow Sugawara would be able to have an easier day.
You lean forward in front of Sugawara, place a hand on his forehead, and it burns. “Koushi, you’re running a fever!”
You keep your hand on his forehead, using your other hand to cup the back of his neck to tilt his face up to you a little. Then his neck starts to heat up under your fingers.
“Your neck is boiling, are you having a heat flash?” You lean closer.
Sugawara chokes on his saliva slightly, trying to put some space between his face and yours. The smell of your floral perfume, the soft touch of your hands, the criminally adorable nametag you had on your white cardigan, not to mention the baby blue dress you had on. It was all too overwhelming for him.
Clearly the blush was misinterpreted by you, which gave Sugawara some leeway. He put his hands on your hips and stood up, twisting you around so your calves hit the back of the small desk.
“I just need to get home, I think.” Sugawara loosens his hold on you, but keeps his hands hovering around you. Until you shake your head in understanding and slide out from between him and the desk.
“Are you good to drive home?” You grab your purse from the coat hook near the entrance of the class and pull it over your shoulder.
Sugawara sighs a little, putting on his best act to win over your pity. “I don’t think I’ll be able to.”
You frown, sad for Sugawara. He continues putting on his best portrayal of sickness- even though his headache was only a mild migrane and not one that required a trip to the hospital.
He pushes a little further into your friendship with him when he asks, "Take me home, please?"
It had become habit for him now, to request little things from you. He hoped that somewhere along the way, that his requests would endear you to him. Making you like him more and more, even if it was just out of friendly obligation sometimes.
“Ah, well, I can drive you then. Let’s go.” You always found yourself taking care of Sugawara one way or another, and this was just one of the ways you expressed your friendship and kindness for him.
Sugawara follows you to your car like a puppy.
Mrs. Ito has Rose class scooping up rice and putting it onto their peers plates. When she pauses to have the kids swap jobs, she gets a glimpse of you opening the car door for Sugawara through the window. Your head was down and focused on unlocking the vehicle.
Sugawara had his head in his hand, looking at you lovingly as he leaned against your car. Mrs. Ito almost, but didn’t, smile at the way her fellow third grade teacher was acting so twitterpated for the school librarian.

their (main) love language
character(s): timeskip!Suga, timeskip!Asahi, timeskip!Daichi
pairing(s): afab!reader x timeskip!Suga, timeskip!Asahi, timeskip!Daichi (separately)
contents: fluff, established relationship, love languages, dates, period cramps, everyday love, cuddles, taking care of you
a/n: sorry for the absence guys! exam season started in June, and I've been studying my ass off ever since! my last exam is on the 31st of July, and after that I'll be a bit more free to write! I've been rewatching Haikyuu though, hence why this post.
not proofread! also I'd love to make more posts like this, not only on haikyu, so let me know if you'd like that!
hope you enjoy! <3
●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●・○・●
Suga
Acts of service and physical touch: he loves making life easier for you, and will always make sure to make his presence known whenever you're doing something.
He'll dry your hair for you, make you a bath, whatever it takes to make your life easier. He could be grading tests, reading a book or whatever really, he'll always make sure you know he's there.
«I'm gonna go read a book, I'll let you grade your tests okay?» you get your book and go sit on the sofa. As you're halfway through the page, you hear rustling from the table, and then see Suga coming to the sofa. Soon enough your legs are stretched out on his lap, as he continues grading, occasionally giving your calves a gentle squeeze.
As he's done grading you soon enough end up in his arms, being cuddled as he whispers sweet words in your ears and kisses your head, inhaling your perfume.
Has it been a hard day? You bet he's going to brush your hair until you fall asleep on his lap, and then he'll bring you to bed, lay next to you, falling asleep to the soft sound of your slow breathing.
──────────────────────────────
Asahi
Words of affirmation and quality time: he's always wanted to hear things SAID, so it's not a surprise at all. He's also always super busy as a fashion designer, and so, whenever you two can spend time together he wants it to be meaningful. He likes to organize dates, and will do anything in his power to make everything you wish for become a reality.
«Look at this!!» you send him a video of a recently opened ice skating rink in Tokyo. You wouldn't see him for two weeks, since he had a fashion show in another city in Japan.
Two weeks had passed, and as promised, he came over. You open the door to find him there, a flower bouquet in his hands, as he extends one for you to grab. You do, and next thing you know you're at the skating rink, with you helping him as to not fall over, since he's absolutely terrible at it.
──────────────────────────────
Daichi
He's very difficult to categorize in my humble opinion, but if I'd have to summarize him in one word, I'd choose: care. He's a mix of all five love languages, he just wants to be there for you and take care of you in every situation, even if you insist on him not to, since you feel like a burden sometimes.
«Daichi, you don't have to do all of this...I've had my period countless times. It's okay; I took painkillers, they'll take effect soon and I'll be good.» he gives you a stern look, much like he did with his teammates in high school when they were exhausting themselves.
«There's no way I'm letting you go to practice like that. You're hereby forbidden from straining yourself until you feel better. And don't try to do otherwise, because I'm not going to move until you feel better [y/n].» you sigh, as he opens the sofa bed. He grabs a few blankets, and the heating pad, laying them on it. He gently lays you on the sofa, putting the heating pad on your abdomen, and covering you with the blankets. After a little while he comes back with snacks and the tv remote, laying next to you.
He cuddles you in his arms, massaging your lower back, soothing the sharp pain coursing through your body.
You spend the evening like that, cuddled in his arms while watching a tv show.

“Koushi,” you cooed, looking over your boyfriend’s shoulder. He gave a noncommittal hum in response, not looking up from the mess of paper that covered the desk of his home office. You sighed at the lack of attention, feeling a small petulant pout form on your face. He truly was focused, which was bad. You had come into the office with the intention of distracting him.
“How much longer are you going to work?” You asked instead, glancing up at the wall clock which read half past midnight. Your question made Sugawara sigh and shrug his shoulders weakly, running a hand through his usually immaculate hair and messing it up.
“I don’t know sweetheart. I have a lot of papers to grade. And some way overdue scheduling. Tch, you wouldn't think being a primary school teacher meant working through the nights. Yet here we are.”
Despite his tired, slumped posture, his voice was teasing, soothing to your ears. You felt your pout deepen as you leaned closer to him, running a careful hand over his tense shoulders.
“I miss you.” You sounded whiny, but that was fine. Sugawara always responded well to your complaints. He was an attentive and caring lover. If he knew how bad you wanted him right now, there was no way he would refuse you.
“M’ also pretty horny.” You folded yourself lower, lips brushing his ear as you talked, laying a tiny kiss on the shell afterward. You ran your hands forward from his shoulders down his chest, feeling him up through his sweater. You heard his breath hitch, finally looking up until calm brown eyes met yours.
“Baby….” He sounded hesitant. “There’s just- so much work. I don’t think I will be done for hours.”
You hummed a bit, staring carefully at him, eyes running down his face until they stopped at his lips. You licked your own as you thought about kissing him, unable to resist the urge and shifting forward to brush yours softly and sweetly against his. You could feel him stiffen and lean into you instinctively, suppressing the urge to smirk. You heard him sigh as if in resignation.
“Alright, sweetheart. Come here.”
You were giddy as Sugawara pulled you into his lap, both legs on either sides of him and shimmying to get comfortable in his lap. He pushed your tiny sleep shorts aside, fumbling and shuffling until you felt the tip of his bare cock brush over you before sinking into you in one smooth motion. You sighed in relief as he filled you up, finally feeling as if your craving had been satisfied. You moaned slightly and shifted your hips, gripping Suga’s shoulders so you could get ready to start riding him. But before you could, firm hands gripped your hips tight and kept you still.
You stared at him questioningly but he didn’t reply, winding one arm around your waist and pulling you to him so you would rest your head on his shoulder, fit snugly against his torso. Then, he went completely still.
Your eyes widened as you realized what was happening, and you groaned in protest, trying to straighten up. Suga’s grip around your waist tightened, letting out a warning hum. One of his hands wound into the hair on the back of your head, pulling your head up just enough that you would meet his eyes. His gaze was hard, his face blank, and your breath hitched.
He was being serious and stern. You felt yourself clench around him. And from the little twitch of the corner of his mouth, you knew he felt it too.
“You wanted to spend time with me. And you wanted your greedy cunt filled. You’re getting both. Now be a good girl and take them. No protest. Understand?”
You nodded choppily, movement restricted by the hand entangled in your hair. Suga gave you a soft kiss on the forehead, placing your head back in the juncture between his neck and shoulder. You bit your lip when he shifted forward slightly to pick up his pen. Then, all was still.
The sounds of pen scratching on paper was the only thing echoing in your mind as it got more and more hazy. The tick, tick, tick of the wall clock seemed to be an amplified sound, or maybe it was just you, getting more and more hypersensitive as the time passed, focus acutely directed at the stretch of your weeping pussy, feeling how you leaked all over Suga’s cock, juices probably running down his balls and ruining his pants. You would clench involuntarily every time Suga shifted slightly, earning a gentle squeeze at your hips where one of his hands had taken permanent residence. Your eyelids grew heavy as the minutes ticked by, as Suga’s girth remained tucked snugly inside you, continually kept hard by the little shifts and squeezes of fluttering walls.
You felt your whole body relax into your boyfriend slowly, surrounded by his soft warmth and comforting touch. To be connected to him so intimately while he just carried on with mundane work tasks sent a gentle shiver down your body. You let your eyes fall shut, lured into the wonderful feeling of safety that came with being so close to him.
You couldn’t remember how long you two stayed like that, your mind jumbled and fogged at the sensations around you, inside you. Your core felt sore, stretched so good for so long. You only jolted slightly when Suga finally sighed and leaned back, groaning a bit when his cock nudged into your sweet spot. A small, sleepy cry escaped your lips.
“So patient.” Suga praised, careful fingers running over your sides, soothing you. “You did so well, sweetheart.” His voice was butter. “Would you like a reward now?”
He didn’t wait for an answer, hand snaking between your bodies and into your shorts to find your clit, rubbing it in fast, tight circles.
After hours of wonderful stimulation, it took maybe four minutes for him to make you cry and shake on him, twitching and shuddering on his cock as your long awaited orgasm finally ran through your body like sweet release. Suga hummed and praised you through it, fingers moving insistently over your tiny bud until he had milked everything out of you, calling you his good girl, his obedient little whore, his perfect, pretty cocksleeve.
“You’re so perfect, my love. So beautiful. Taking exactly what I give you and not complaining about it. You trust me so much, don’t you? Good little slut. My perfect princess.”
You keened and snuggled closer to him, finally letting the lingering trails of unconsciousness take hold of you, safe in your boyfriend’s arms, knowing he would take care of your body and put you to bed while you were out like a light.

Yandere!Sugawara x fem!reader
Day 24 — Teacher/Student TW: NSFW, yandere!character, student/teacher relationship, age gap, abuse of power words: 312
Tumblr media
Thinking about yandere Professor Sugawara.
In all of his years of teaching, Sugawara has never felt as..drawn to any of his other students as he is to you.
He doesn’t think much of it at first — of course there are going to be times when professors become closer with some students than others. That’s natural. Especially when you seem genuinely interested in the subject and are one of the main participants in class discussions.
It’s not until he begins thinking about you more and more outside of class that he realizes he has a problem. Especially when those thoughts shift from being entirely innocent to something muchdifferent.
And he tries his best to ignore them, he really does. But that’s so hard to do when you crave his approval so much, your eyes glistening any time he praises you. It’s so..perfect, he just wants to keep you happy.
Sure, sometimes that involves bumping up your test grades sometimes, but it’s only by a few points. That’s okay, right? And then there was that one time he got one of your classmates suspended because he saw him kissing you in the hallway (in Sugawara’s defense, he did see him breaking school rules. He just may have..exaggerated it, a little bit).
But that’s okay. It’s all worth it when it leads to you ending up in his office, bouncing on his cock while he grades papers.
He’s pleased to find out that your craving for approval carries over to sex, your cunt fluttering around his member every time he murmurs how good you feel wrapped around him. He feels like he’s in heaven when he’s inside you, and he can’t help but wonder how the hell he managed to hold out for so long. All he knows is that he’s going to make sure this becomes a common occurrence.
Whatever it takes.

Sweet things they do as your boyfriends (Haikyuu!! Setters)
Tumblr media
A/n:I love hq sm y'all don't get them like i do okay? Also these are just half of the people i wanna do, so keep in mind this might have a part two and three💜 i just don't feel like writing these days love y'all<3
Warnings: none
Genre: fluff
Type: headcanons
Pairings: Kageyama, Oikawa, Kenma, Atsumu, Shirabu, Akaashi, Semi, Sugawara
Windbreaker version
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loading...
Kageyama Tobio
Brings you to his practice. He says he 'can concentrate better' when you are around, even tho it's the exact opposite and he is even more distracted because you're there and he doesn't want to mess up. When the leaves and Yachi, he and Hinata stay for tosses he physically makes you stay too. (Show off). He also likes to answer absolutely any questions that you ask him about his tosses and the sport in general.
Oikawa Torū
He always mentions you when some of his fangirls ask about something. Like he would casually slid it in the conversation like the topic wasn't about him instead of you and then the whole convo becomes about you and your interests, habits and hobbies. At this point instead of you the media and his fan girls, come to ask him about you.
Kenma Kozume (x f!reader)
When he is playing a game with a female character he writes your name for them. Yeah, people might think he's a girl, but who cares. If you also like to play games, he would totally like to play on multiplayer with you, and he usually zones out if you are playing next to him, but he would never tell you that, of course.
Atsumu Miya
He would tell his team that he actually isn't very clingy, even tho no ones from the tram actually believed him and the moment he sees you in the audience in the matches, after it's over he's jumping onto you. And that also happens when you two are at school. The teacher needs to separate you two so you can breathe, after that he's pouting all day.
Shirabu Kenjiro
Shirabu likes to do your make up, especially your eyeliner. He's a med student, so his hands are trained to be very still. So whenever you do to do it, he immediately asks to do your eyeliner. Pop onto this boy's lap and hand him the eyeliner, and let hi mdo the magic. You can also ramble about your day while you're at it, just keep your eyes closed, okay?
Akaashi Keiji
He loves reading out to you. Whether that be after a long day that you are tired of, because you just want to finish a book, but you're too lazy, or just if you want to cuddle with him while he's reading. If you also mention some book that you wanted to get, oh he will go out of his way to get it for you. He will sit in a chair and pretend to be reading it until you actually see it in his hands and ask about it.
Semi Eita
Semi recreates your favourite songs. We all know he can play the guitar and that he's a musician in the time skip, so he recreates some songs that you like in different variations and lets you listen to them. If you have any Ideas about how he can do them, even better. Tell him at the second you think of it, he loves your ideas.
Sugawara Koushi
Sugawara can cook like no one else. And no one can change my mind about that fact. As nd he loves doing it with you, it doesn't matter if you know how to or not, he still wants you to be there if you have the energy. He sometimes even puts music as a background and when you two are done you end up dancing in the kitchen together.

Sharing A Tent With His Crush
word count: 1926 || avg. reading time: 8 mins.
pairing: Asahi x chubby manager!Reader
genre: fluff with spice
warning: mdni, spoilers
request: fluffy-spicy, sharing a tent with pining friend Asahi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One, two, three, four…”
As Takeda counted in the background, Coach Ukai studied his clipboard, listening with a content smile to the hollering and laughter that was carried up from the beach by an easy sea breeze. The kids were off swimming and building sandcastles and trenches, enjoying their hard earned freedom after weeks of studying and practices.
“Oh no.”
Ukai turned to the teacher.
“What is it, Sensei?”
“Oh nononono - no!”
“What? Did we forget a cooler? What?”
“We are one tent short!”
“What?!”, Ukai’s booming yell made some birds fly out of a tree top, “I double checked it! Are you sure?”
The men stood shoulder to shoulder, counting. Again. And again. But even after the fifth time, Ukai had to admit his mistake.
“What are we gonna do?”, Takeda asked, panic rising in his voice.
“We just… gotta rethink logistics.”, Ukai said, grabbing the clipboard once more and flipping to the page of the sleeping arrangements.
One of the boys was supposed to sleep alone anyway. And one of the girls, too, because both numbers were uneven.
“Maybe we can squeeze Nishinoya, Hinata and Yamaguchi into one and then have y/n take the free boys’ tent.”
“Sensei, we can’t just sort them by size. I think… hm, y/n is a third year. If we put her with one of the other third years they should have the presence of mind not to try any funny business. The first years won’t get a wink of sleep having a girl so close to them at night and the second years are as girl-crazy as they come.”
“How about Sugawara then?”
“Don’t be too trusting, Sensei. I don’t think he is as innocent as he seems.”, Ukai said with a frown, “And Sawamura might do something without even realizing he is flirting. - I hate to say it but … Azumane will be too chicken to even go near her. I think he is our best bet.”
Asahi went pale when the news broke over dinner. He looked at you and was quite relieved to see you equally as shocked.
“It‘s just for one night.“, Ukai said quickly, “Not a big deal.“
Both the ace and third manager would very much beg to differ but the coach already made his way back to Takeda and his plate of chicken.
“No big deal.“, you repeated under your breath.
“No big deal.“, Asahi agreed.
It was, in fact, a big deal to Asahi. He didn‘t know exactly when he started to be hopelessly in love with you but if he had to take a guess, it was probably somewhere around the time when he noticed all of his sketches and doodles of various outfits becoming chubbier until they eventually matched your figure. Skirts for a lovely Sunday date, pantsuits for eventually kicking butt at an office where you undoubtedly would end up as CEO sooner or later, dresses for imaginary galas you‘d attend and even an elaborate gown for a daydream of a royal ball he had during a boring physics lesson. (He also came up with his own outfit for that occasion to match you.)
Noya was the only one he confided in. The libero had sworn on his honor to never hit on you and ever since tried to push his best friend to make a move before graduating and possibly losing sight of you. And after much pushing and pestering and strategizing, Asahi, under threat of violence, had agreed to confess his feelings before graduation - as an out, Asahi didn’t tell his friend that he hadn’t actually specified whether it was graduating high school or university so he still had time either way.
After dinner the team gathered around a bonfire to roast marshmallows and make up completely ridiculous, yet confident, remarks about constellations in the clear night sky.
Asahi was torn between wanting to play for time until curfew or savor every second of the increasingly appealing mishap - to share a tent, all night, alone, side by side with his crush.
But of course, as with every good beach episode, there had to be a game of truth or dare involved.
Daichi was forced to admit that he was deadly scared of mice, Hinata had to sit still for a whole minute and, in the meantime, Tsukki was dared to not insult him once. It was fun until Noya turned to you and the glint in his eyes made you gulp.
“So, y/n-san. Truth or dare?”
Quite frankly, both of these were dangerous coming from him but maybe truth wouldn’t be so bad.
Noya gave a victorious grin.
“Who, of the people here, do you have a crush on?”
Asahi wasn’t sure if it was the light of fire that made your cheeks look so pink. His heart quickened. You stammered, kneading your fingers in your lap.
“Alright everyone.”, Daichi said when an alarm went off on his phone, “Let’s get to bed. Lights out in 15 minutes.”
Noya groaned and began to argue but one look from the captain had him crumble. So instead, he and Tanaka pushed each other out of the way, eager to be the one to accompany Kiyoko the few steps to the tent she shared with Yaachi.
Suga and Daichi gave Asahi a nondescript nod Goodnight before heading to bed themselves.
It was quite miraculous, you thought, how Asahi’s massively tall frame could fit next to you, when your plump form occupied a good part of the truly pathetically crammed tent already.
You sat cross legged on your sleeping bag, in your pyjama shorts and oversized t-shirt. Given the sleeping arrangements you decided to keep wearing a bra.
“Just for one night, right?”, you said in a (failed) attempt to make your voice sound light and airy.
You pumped some oil into the palm of your hand before running your fingers through your hair. The pleasant smell filled the tent. You caught his eyes and smiled, then both of you looked away again. The atmosphere was somewhat stiff, even though you’ve been on friendly terms with the fellow third years ever since you switched over from the Sewing Club about a year ago.
“Do you think-“
“So what would you-“
You said at the same time and broke off, laughing awkwardly.
“You first.”, he said.
“Do you think it’s okay if we keep on a light?”, you asked.
“Sure. Do you have one? Cause otherwise, I brought-” Asahi reached for his backpack and so did you.
After a moment’s rummaging you produced a small panda bear figure and turned to see a thing in his hand that looked suspiciously like a round little rabbit with a leaf umbrella.
“Is that… is that the official Totoro night light with 8 different color options and dimming function??”
Asahi nodded and you clasped your hands in delight, leaning closer to inspect it as he held it out to you. You let out a small gasp. This was one of the best night lights on the market right now after all!
“I wanted one of those for ages! But they're always sold out! How did you get it?”
“I set myself an alert for when they’re back in stock.”
He basked in your impressed “Ohhhh” and a few minutes later you both lay on your stomachs, looking at the two soft glowing figures in front of you.
Outside the tent, Ukai nodded approvingly on his last checkup before turning in himself in the room he shared with Takeda in a guesthouse on the border of the camping grounds.
“What was your question?”
“Hm?”, Asahi turned to look at you.
“Earlier when I asked you about the light. You wanted to say something as well. What was it?”
“Oh, not important.”, he said and moved the Totoro night light a little closer to your panda.
“Come on, I wanna know.”, you lightly pushed his leg with your foot to encourage him.
“I was just… I-i was wondering what you would have said if Daichi’s alarm hadn’t gone off.”, he mumbled.
“When? Oh, the game. Uhm.” The pink from earlier returned to your cheeks. Now would be as good a time as any, you thought and after a deep breath you replied, “You.”
Stupidly, Asahi rolled around to check if there was someone else behind him in the tiny tent before moving his attention back to you.
“Me?”
“Yeah, you.”, you laughed.
“I- I don't know what to say.”, Asahi stammered.
You regarded him with a thoughtful smile, still somewhat hopeful that what Kiyoko and Suga told you was right.
“Well, you could tell me if you feel the same or not, maybe?”
“Oh right! Yes!”, he said, much louder than intended and ducked his head a moment later, “Yes, I do like you. A lot.”
You beamed at him.
“Nice.”
The following giggles were suppressed in your respective pillows.
When you came back up for air he brushed a few loose strands of hair out of his face and cleared his throat, “Would you like to go out with me once we’re back?”
“I’d love to.”
“Great.”
You both looked at each other, unsure of what to do next.
“So…”, you began, weighing your words carefully, “Do you wanna make out?”
If Asahi had been drinking water, he would have choked on it. His face immediately turned bright red and he needed a minute to put a coherent word together. You waited patiently.
“Yes.”, he croaked eventually.
He didn’t move.
“I’ll be right there.”, he assured you, his voice and face still not quite back to normal.
“That’s alright.”
Asahi’s eyes widened when you scooted closer and your noses almost touched.
“Hi.”
“H-hello.”
It started out with a peck. You pulled back to check if he had any objections but you didn’t get very far. His lips followed yours as if magnetic. He sighed into the kiss and your smile widened if possible even further. His large hand came to rest on your waist and you slotted your leg between his. The kiss soon became open mouthed, your tongue slipping back and forth to test the waters.
You hummed happily against him, making him squeeze your pillowy hips. He was losing his mind. How could one person feel this good? Your hand brushed down his muscular arm to lay on top of his and began to move it. He was so engrossed in your taste that he didn’t notice until he cupped your breast.
“Y/n…”, he breathed, resting his forehead against yours. He stared at his hand, how it went up and down along with your panting. You, in turn, felt him throb against your thigh that was pushed between his legs.
Your chubby fingers closed around his much larger hand, easing him into the idea that he was free to touch you.
“Y/n…”, he whispered again and was met with your lips on his once more. He had never been drunk before but he was sure this was exactly what it must feel like.
Asahi groaned into your mouth when his palm pressed against your hardened nipple, pushing through the fabrics.
____________________
Picking up a piece of omelet with his chopsticks the next morning, Asahi grinned down at his bowl of rice like an idiot. You sat right next to him, so close that your heavenly thighs touched his, just as dazed from the previous night.
Tsukki frowned and said to no one in particular, but loud enough for you to hear, “Do they realize that tents aren’t soundproof?”
Tumblr media
a/n: this one got so away from me xD thank you for your request and your kind words! I hope you enjoy it 🌟
Also I apologize for being so inactive. It’s a mixture of writer’s block, summer heat and a twisted back 🥲

i can’t believe yall let me forget abt my concept of reverse grumpy x sunshine where it’s READER who’s the cold, stand off-ish ceo and it’s sugawara who’s the completely normal ray of sunshine who is kinda going through it. you have a child w the first and only boy who broke your heart (and subsequently made u the cold blooded woman you are now) but as your grandfather is getting closer to croaking, his lawyers come around and you realize something very, very terrible: any claim to ur inheritance is barred by the simple stipulation of you needing to be married. whatever. a marriage is just another type of business partnership. except grandfather dearest wants to see his favorite granddaughter - you - genuinely happy.
he won’t accept what he considers to be a disingenuous marriage. you don’t have many actors on speed dial. and if you’re going to have to act like a happy family, you at least want someone who is kind to your kid.
enter in mr. sugawara, who during a parent teacher conference gives you an awkward smile as he pulls you to the side and lets you know that your child has repeatedly accidentally called him “dad” on several occasions.
he’s kinda cute. so when he’s done with his assessment of ur child, you tilt your head and change sugawara’s world when you ask him, “do you want to get married?”

can u do a various hq x reader where the reader is a very sleepy bb and the hq boy just absolutely worships them ?
sorry if thats cringe lel…
thnkx!!
My Dear Sleepyhead
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary — You are a very sleeper person and he loves how cute you look.
Characters — Yamaguchi, Nishinoya, Sugawara, Taketora, Yaku, Aone.
— Fluff
— Gn!Reader (the image is merely illustrative, it does not mean that it's a fem reader!!)
Tumblr media
If you could list the things you like to do most, the first would definitely be "sleeping". You think it's just so amazing to sleep, imagine sleeping through a boring class and waking up feeling completely refreshed! There's nothing better than this in the world!!! (at least that's what you think)
You always have a sleepy expression on your face, no matter how much you say that most of the time you don't feel like sleeping.
And your boyfriend is grateful every day that you enjoy it, as he loves to see how adorable you look in your sleep.
Tumblr media
Yamaguchi
Okay, this boy loves you SO MUCH.
If you could see the sparkle in his eyes as he watches you take a nap, you would have no doubt that he likes you.
He would shyly play with the strands of your hair, while looking at you with a smile on his face.
But if you were sleeping more than usual, he would be worried about you.
"Is they overworking themself too much? Has something happened and they doesn't want to tell me? My God, what do I do..." Please make sure you have a healthy routine, or Yamaguchi is going to have a heart attack from worry.
He will always make sure you are eating well and having a regular sleep schedule, and of course, he will always spoil you with some sweets and kisses!
Nishinoya
Listen to me, this boy is also a big sleeper like you.
When you are at each other's houses, after a good meal you would take the longest nap of your lives, waking up almost at dinner time (and consequently staying up late because you both are no longer sleepy)
But he would also make sure you are not sleeping too much.
After all, who else would help him with his homework if you were asleep in class and didn't hear the teacher's explanation?
Nishinoya would definitely wake you up with the biggest smile in the world, telling you to walk with him around the school during break time, with the aim of trying to keep you awake.
Sugawara
Upon seeing that you are sleeping, he would initially laugh at the small string of drool that was dripping from your mouth while you slept, but then he would watch you with a kind expression on his face.
He would stroke your head, gently kiss your hand, expect lots of caresses from him!
But make no mistake, he wouldn't let you take a nap all the time while you were in class (he would only make exceptions when he sees that you're too tired), because he would be worried about your school performance.
When you were home, he would let you sleep on top of him while he hugged you. And who knows, maybe he'll take a nap with you, even though he doesn't usually sleep as much as you do, but your presence is so comforting that he can't take it and ends up sleeping with you.
Taketora
If you ever ended up sleeping on his shoulder, he would freak out.
He just loves you SO much, I swear to you that no matter how you are, he will always think you are the most beautiful thing in this world.
He has lots of photos of you sleeping on his phone, from the cutest to the weirdest (and he begs you to not delete them)
And sometimes he would give you so many kisses and caresses that it would end up waking you up, and then he would begs you to forgive him for "interrupting his queen's sleep"
And if you ended up sleeping in places other than your home, he would be over protective of you, since he saw in a video that the way people are most vulnerable is when they are sleeping. (it was a video about jungle survival...💀)
Yaku
If you like sleeping in class, I'm sorry but Yaku wouldn't let you do that...
He understands that sometimes you may be more tired than usual and sleeping through a boring class, but he doesn't want your grades to drop drastically because you're not paying attention. (but either way he will always help you study)
But don't worry, he can be a little strict sometimes, but he takes great care of you!!
When you wake up from a nap he always has some water and your favorite snack, assuming you would be hungry after sleeping all afternoon.
He sometimes takes some photos of you while you're asleep, you have such a peaceful expression on your face that he can't stand it because of how cute it is!!
And if any teammates found out and made fun of him (Kuroo and Lev more specifically), they would immediately shut up when they saw the scary expression on his face.
Aone
He is definitely the most adorable among all the others above. He cares so much about you and would consequently take very good care of you.
Whenever he notices that you are sleepy, he offers his shoulder so you can rest your head and take a little nap, depending on where you are.
And I can say for sure that he is someone very comfortable to sleep together, he's practically a heater with legs. Just getting close to this boy makes you feel a comforting warmth.
He stares at you a lot while you sleep, and some people who see it from afar might find it scary (especially because of his intimidating appearance) but you know that those eyes always shine with love for you.
Aone definitely has a photo of you sleeping and made it his wallpaper on his cell phone.
Tumblr media
A/N — Tysm for your request!! And I'm sorry if there were any characters you didn't like, but I assumed it was okay since you didn't specify who you like😭😭

accidental confessions - koshi sugawara
flufftober 2024 - week 2 | flufftober masterlist
Tumblr media
paring: sugawara x gn!reader
cw: kiyoko is readers bestie stan my queen, suga is a flustered silly, not proofread, intended lowercase
a/n: this sucks lowkey but whatever i gotta post smth. i wrote half of this in the hospital 😹😹😹 enjoy hopefully :3 idk if i should continue writing for haikyuu ngl. i’m kinda posting while my body is being numbed lolololol
word count: 510
Tumblr media
“maybe he’s just so dense he doesn’t notice.” for what seems like the hundredth time, you sigh. you love your friend kiyoka so dearly, she’s truly the best. but there’s some things she needs to learn to justify. in the name of love, as cringe as it is.
“look, [name], i don’t want you to get hurt. if he’s oblivious to your hints. just confess at this point, it seems easier.” she shrugs, and you immediately shake your head.
hell to the no.
“me? confess? nah, he should date another girl, i’m taking these feelings to the very grave-” you get cut off by kiyoko’s… distraught? expression. what?? you pause.
“… what?” you ask, suspicion lacing your expression as her eyes widen ever so slightly.
“kiyoko, what is it?”
she’s silent. you’re silent. what on earth could’ve possibly made her look at you with such confusion and concern that even you stopped talking??
“behind you…” she whispers, standing up from where you two were sitting on the floor and walking away as fast as she can. wow, way to go, some best friend. you sit still, confused.
“huh?” you mutter, feeling a hand on your shoulder. but you don’t dare turn around, what if they’re a teacher??
“my, oh my, [name]. whose feelings are you taking down to your grave, may i be let in on your secret?” sugawara, your classmate and close friend, smiles as he moves to stand beside where you’re sitting. his hand stays on your shoulder, a friendly habit he’s had ever since you met him.
“uhh, no one!” you nervously laugh, obviously knowing it’s not convincing. not in the least. and you assume he’ll pry further, so you pat down the spot beside you on the floor. he sits down beside you, elbow propped up on his thigh and chin leaning on his hand as he leans in a bit.
“tell me about these ‘feelings’, i’m too curious now to let you brush it off.” he smiles as you simply look away.
“well, if you must know. he’s kind, he’s cute, he’s very pretty, and he’s-“ you get cut off.
“right in front of you? he loves you too.” kiyoko had returned and sat down beside sugawara, a teasing grin on her face.
“l-loves? me? you… we??” for the first time, it seems that the very kept together vice captain of the karasuno volleyball team was flustered.
what gave it away?
his cheeks have a tint as pink as your lips, his speech is all quick and stuttered, but most of all, he’s not denying anything.
reciprocation, allegedly at least, is so weird.
“you’re joking, right?” you laugh. he stays silent.
“right??” silence again. kiyoko laughs, leaving once again, leaving the two of you alone.
“not joking…” you just barely hear sugawara mutter under his breath.
well, lucky you. reciprocation sure is a lovey feeling, even if it’s by accident.

tape me up, please? sugawara koushi x reader content; taping suga up- aka pure fluff 970 words
It was like any other day as Kiyoko’s friend really, dropping off your bag in the library for book club and then going to check on her- making sure your plans to hang out at your house after her volleyball stuff and your meeting as vice president of the Karasuno Literary Society.
So you bounded over to the gym, swinging your arms happily from side to side with a hum. When you peeked your head in, Kiyoko grabbed you by the hand and pulled you into the gym entirely. Harsh, and unusual, but you accepted the nudge and entered into the sweaty palace of the volleyball idiots.
“I need you to do something really quick for me, gotta run and grab my notebook from my locker, just stand here and wait for Yachi to take over.” Kiyoko is holding her hands out as if to prevent you from running away, soothing you and emphasizing how soon she’d return.
You just nodded.
Once Kiyoko had evacuated, you waved at your contemporary Japanese literature teacher, Sensei Takeda. Takeda smiled, holding up a book that you had recommended to him, and you throw him a thumbs up in return. You two were always exchanging books, and he always made sure to give you books that actually challenged you- instead of giving you the regular course books, you were getting literature he had read during University. With appropriate assignments and preparation for your third year final exams of course.
The watch on the wall started to taunt you, and you thought you could probably just leave. But Yachi still hadn’t appeared. Someone else had appeared instead.
“Tape me up, please?”
Sugawara Koushi, with his bare chest and hands holding rolls of pink and blue athletic tape.
You could feel the heat settle within your ears, burning like when the sun got particularly bad during the summer heatwaves.
“You should probably wait until Kiyoko or Yachi gets here,” You bit down on your lip seeing him bring his tongue out to swipe at his bottom lip slightly, “Or better yet, have someone on the team help you!”
Your feigned enthusiasm for a different solution to his problem caused him to roll his eyes.
“Everyone else is busy, see? Asahi and Noya are busy stretching. The first years are still changing, and the rest of the team is finishing a quick running drill outside. Just tape me. I’ll guide you, so you do it just how I like it.”
He shoved the rolls of tape into your hands and you swallowed thickly, feeling the dense stretchy tape in your hands.
“Are you sure this is how you like it?” You try to catch his eye, but he’s still lifting the back of his hair up with his hand and tilting his head down- trying to avoid getting hair in the strips of hot pink tape you were attaching from near his nape to across the back of his shoulder blade.
“Yes. Definitely.”
You get another strip of blue tape this time, following his instructions. This would curve around his rotator cuff, from the top of his shoulder to his mid-bicep. One piece for the front section and one piece for the back section, creating a sort of oval around his shoulder.
The lack of Kiyoko and Yachi was still an anomaly to you, in the next ten minutes, you would definitely have to leave to get back to your own club instead of acting as some sort of interim manager for Karasuno’s pretty boy Sugawara.
“Okay, can you get my lower back too?”
“Hmm?!” The sound you make is muffled, but not unheard by Sugawara- who’s fumbling over his words trying to avoid embarrassment.
“Just like from my mid-torso to my hip to like, the, uh, start of my volleyball shorts.” He traces his hand where he can reach, trying to illustrate where he wants the tape. His hand ends up right at the back of his shorts, at the small of his back.
His ears are red, his cheeks are pink, and his neck is the same salmon color as the tape you had applied.
“How many slices of tape do I need?”
Soon, Sugawara’s all taped up, and you think his skin is more plastic bandage than actual human flesh at this point.
“All good now?” You ask, standing up from how you’d kneeled off to the side of him to get the tape around his torso.
“Really good, like 100% better than anyone else could’ve done.” He reaches out and touches the side of your arm, squishing you a little.
“Thanks. I really should be heading out now,” You jut a thumb in the direction of the entrance and Sugawara nods furiously.
Later in the day, after practice, when Sugawara is handing two drinks from the vending machine to Yachi and Kiyoko, Kageyama asks Daichi a question.
“Sugawara never wears that much tape for a practice match, and he never has problems with his hips, why does he have support there?” Kageyama downs the rest of his water bottle.
Daichi wipes sweat off his forehead as he shakes his head with some astonishment.
“Suga just wanted a certain someone’s hands all over him.”
Hinata pops into the conversation, “Ah! Takeda-sensei’s student yeah? The really nice third year who tried to help us with our reading Kageyama.”
Kageyama nods in understanding. “So, he pretended to need to get overly taped so he could have them touch him?”
Daichi pats Kageyama on the back, “Bingo.”

Strawberry Daifuku - Sugawara Kōshi x Reader
Pairing: Sugawara Kōshi x fem!Reader AU: college!AU Genre: hurt/comfort Word Count: 3 144 Summary: Suga plans to confess to you the day before Valentine’s Day, but the conversation takes a different turn A/N: I know, usually chocolates are given on Valentine’s Day, not Daifuku (filled mochi), but I made some today for the first time so…
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Sugawara Kōshi was not entirely sure why he felt like a complete fool, standing in front of your door, and yet hesitating to ring. It was the thirteenth of February, just one day before Valentine’s Day, and while he knew that on Valentine’s Day the girls were supposed to confess, he felt like he actually couldn’t stand bottling up his feelings even one day more. Especially when he was placing his bets on you confessing first.
Would he even have a chance with you?
It was weird, he had known you for three years already, having met you at the entrance exams to the university. You had talked then, and when you had bumped into one another at the orientation a few months later, it felt like you both had chosen the other as your ride-or-die. After that it hadn’t taken Sugawara long to fall for you. It had crept in on him since day one, he realized, and the following years he had tried his best to keep his feelings in check.
But what were you feeling for him? He wasn’t sure.
He knew you considered him as one of your closest friends, so there was definitely the risk of losing this friendship if he confessed and you didn’t reciprocate his feelings. But then again, you were both finished with your third year of university. The next year would barely consist of classes, instead you’d both focus on your part-time jobs. You already had a job-offer lined up for after graduation, and Sugawara was aiming to join the masters-degree in one year before starting to work as a teacher. That meant, in the next year you’d both be busy, you’d both drift apart. You might never again be as close to each other as right now, so this felt like the last possible moment to tell you the truth.
He couldn’t wait for tomorrow and the chance that maybe you would confess. Not that he thought you might. You didn’t exactly act like you were interested in him in that way.
Admittedly, he also didn’t know what you acted like when you were interested in someone. In the three years of your friendship, he had never once seen you express any sort of interest in anyone. Which, as foolish as it was, had always given him the hope, that he might have a chance to worm himself into your heart after all.
The person brushing past him in the stairwell on their way downstairs tore him out of his thoughts. Still feeling incredibly foolish, he exhaled with a sigh and pressed the doorbell. The ringing could be heard through the door, and a moment later the sound of something cluttering and muffled swearing.
Suga hid his giggle, and quickly straightened his face when he heard steps approaching the door. A moment later it swung open, revealing you, dressed in a pair of sweatpants, an oversized shirt and an apron. You only took a quick look at Suga’s face before you already turned around again.
“Come in,” you greeted, “I have something on the stove.” Aaaand you were gone again.
Quickly Suga pushed his foot into the closing door, stopping it from falling into the lock. Mumbling a quiet ‘Ojamashimasu’ as he stepped into your flat, he toed of his shoes in the genkan and followed you into the kitchen, just in time to see you pull a pot from the stovetop, and pouring the white, liquid content into a bowl.
“Cooking,” he asked, stepping closer to see what you were making.
“Uhm, not really. Making chocolates,” you corrected, taking a whisk, and beginning to stir. That was when Suga spied the carton of cream and the empty chocolate bar wrappers on the counter.
“Oh, for tomorrow?” He hadn’t imagined bringing up the topic so quickly.
“What’s tomorrow?” Or not.
“Valentine’s Day…”
“Oh, no,” you shook your head, mixing the cream with the melting chocolate. “You know me, I stopped giving away Valentine’s Day chocolates after middle school.”
“I just thought, you know, making chocolates on the day before Valentine’s…” Suga trailed of. “Maybe there’s someone you want to confess to.”
You chuckled amused. “I wouldn’t confess to someone just because it’s Valentine’s Day. The chances of getting rejected are just as high as every other day of the year.”
“Wait, you’ve never tried confessing to someone on Valentine’s Day?” So his chances of getting a confession from you tomorrow had never existed anyway. But also, it suddenly made him doubt that it might be a good idea to confess to you now.
“No,” you admitted, stirring the chocolate-cream mix a little harder. “I wouldn’t confess to someone unless I were fairly certain they’d reciprocate my feelings… Besides, why should I confess to someone, if they’ve can’t be bothered to confess to me any other day of the year? Apparently, they’re not interested enough in me, for me to make the effort of confessing on that one special day. If I want to confess, I might do it as well on any other day. And besides, I’ve never seen the sense in confessing just to confess. And it makes things awkward, especially if it happens between friends.”
Suga felt his heart dropping. Had you figured out his feelings for you? Was this your way of saying ‘Keep that confession and let’s pretend everything’s back to normal’?
“I think most people who confess, knowing their feelings aren’t reciprocated, do so for closure,” Suga said, wondering why his voice suddenly sounded so sharp.
You seemed to have noticed his change in tone, too, looking up from the bowl you had kept stirring.
“Yeah, of course. And if that works for them, that’s cool. Doesn’t mean it would work for me.”
Suga blinked. He felt like he had been rejected even without having confessed anything yet.
“Sooo, you’re just making chocolates for fun? Or as friendship-chocolates?”
“For fun, I doubt anyone would want to eat my chocolates,” you laughed, as if trying to dispense the suddenly tense atmosphere.
“I would,” Suga shrugged, making you look up again.
“Is that your way of saying after three years you’re finally expecting chocolates on Valentine’s Day from me,” you laughed again, raising your eyebrows at him teasingly.
“Well, not expecting,” Suga defended, making you laugh even more. Oh, how he loved that sound. “Just… I wouldn’t complain.”
“Yeah, you and sweets,” you laughed. “But friendship-chocolates are usually store-bought, right? Wouldn’t it be weird to give you homemade ones?”
“I don’t care, chocolate is chocolate,” Suga mumbled, but he couldn’t deny that getting to eat something you had made would mean more to him than getting something he could as well have bought for himself in the store. “I mean, all you have to do is say ‘Those are friendship-chocolates’ and the other person knows what’s going on, right?”
“I guess so,” you agreed, grabbing the bowl you had been stirring the chocolate in, and emptying the contents into a prepared form, laid out with baking paper. “Aw man, this is not turning out nice.”
Suga couldn’t help the giggle that slipped over his lips as he watched you try to smooth down the surface of the chocolate in the baking tray, but it kept sticking to the knife you were using, creating waves, and refusing to smooth down.
“Oh, by the way, why did you drop by?”
Right, there had been a very specific reason. When he had stepped into your small flat, he had been very certain he would finally have the courage to confess his feelings for you. But now…?
The conversation of the past minutes had taken any confidence he had had. Not only was he more convinced than ever that you didn’t like him back, but you had also made it quite clear, that you would think it would make things awkward if someone confessed to you, who you didn’t feel the same way about. And suddenly he felt like it would be best to lie, as usual, while also trying to make his escape as quickly as possible.
“Oh, no reason really,” he answered, but there was one thought in the back of his mind that he just couldn’t get rid of. “Do you really think, someone who truly likes you, wouldn’t confess just because they can’t be bothered?”
“Well, no, of course not,” you sighed, still fighting a silent battle with the chocolate. “It takes tremendous amounts of courage to confess. And perhaps the person thinks just like me, that it’s not worth confessing if they’re not sure I like them. But if they aren’t sure I like them, it’s probably because I don’t. Because I’m really bad at hiding when I like someone, so if I did, they probably would have noticed very quickly. Why do you ask?”
Giving up the fight with the chocolate, you stood up straight, giving Suga a long look as if you expected him to say something. It felt like the way you were looking at him caused something inside of him to tense, all these feelings he had buried deep inside his chest for so long.
Couldn’t you avert your gaze? It was driving him crazy, made him feel like you were reading deep in his soul, laying bare all his well-kept secrets. And then it was too much. Just a minute ago he had decided against telling you the real reason for his visit, and now-
“The real reason I came here today was to tell you that I’ve been in love with you for the past three years.” The words came over his lips so quickly and fluently, he didn’t even know how the phrase had formed in his mind, and before he could quite register the surprised expression in your eyes, or the way your mouth dropped into a tiny “o”, or the way your breath hitched, he continued. “I know you think it will make things awkward, and it probably will. But I owe it to myself to be honest about the way I feel, and I’ve lied to myself for long enough, telling myself it’s okay to just have you as a friend until you eventually fall in love with someone and get together with them. But the truth is, I couldn’t stand that pain. I still value as a friend, but until I’ve dealt with these feelings, it wouldn’t be fair, not to either of us, to continue like this. Sorry.”
Not giving you a chance to respond, not wanting to hear those fateful words of ‘I’m sorry, but I don’t feel that way about you’, he quickly turned around, slipped into his shoes, not bothering to put them on properly, and escaped through the front door. It really felt like an escape, out of that small room of yours that smelled so nicely of chocolate and the laundry detergent you used and your shampoo. Out of that room that seemed to close in on him with every second that the realization increased that he’d never get to call himself yours. Just out of that room. And away from you.
The door was already falling into it’s lock when you called for him, your voice carrying something akin to panic, but Suga ignored you, just sprinted down the steps, grabbed his bike and made sure he got home as quickly as possible, hoping nobody would see his quivering lip or the tears on his cheeks.
-
Suga tried to call Daichi at last half a dozen times before he turned off his phone, unable to see your name appearing on the screen again and again as you tried calling him. Daichi was probably still at work, so he couldn’t answer, Suga reminded himself, as he buried himself in the blankets on his bed, turning on some anime he had watched over the past few weeks. Outside it had gotten dark quickly after he had returned home, and eventually he had fallen asleep to the noise of the show still running on the small screen of his laptop.
The next morning was, much to Suga’s dismay, bright and sunny. The weather had quickly taken a warm turn after the cold of January, plum blossoms already blooming on the trees he could see from the window in his dorm. Yesterday around this time, he had still imagined what it would be like to take you out for a date today. Nothing grand, maybe buy some cake at the small bakery at the corner, or at the convenience store, take a blanket and sit in the sun at the side of the river. But now the good weather did nothing but annoy him, so he pulled the curtains closed and tried to ignore the world outside. Which worked quite well, until the doorbell rang around noon. Wondering whether he had forgotten about an online order he had made, he got up and opened the door, only to come face to face with you.
You were nervous, he could tell that from even just a glance. Yesterday he had not only been disappointed and sad, but also angry, more at himself than anyone else. But now, with a bit of distance to his outbreak the day before, it was easier to stay calm.
“Happy Valentine’s,” you smiled shyly, avoiding his eyes, as you held out a small box to him. It was one of those cute Valentine’s Day paper boxes he had seen in the 100yen shop for the past weeks.
“Uhm…,” awkwardly Suga stood in the door, before hesitantly taking the box from you. “Wanna come in?”
“Are you sure?”
It felt like a stab to the heart. How had he managed to make you feel anything but welcome in his home in the span of a few minutes yesterday afternoon?
“Yeah, I mean…”
He stepped aside, holding the door open for you. You mumbled the usual greeting as you took off your shoes and stepped into the small, single room apartment.
“I tried making strawberry Daifuku. Emphasis on tried,” you explained, standing around a little helplessly. Suga motioned for you to sit down on one of the cushions of his small table on the floor. “I couldn’t find any red bean paste though, so I made them with chocolate cream.”
“You made them yourself,” Suga wondered, placing the small box on the table, and fetching two plates from the shelf above the sink.
“They’re for valentine’s day after all. So, I thought I might as well put in some effort. They’re kind of ugly though, just saying. Well, not ugly, they just look… authentically handmade.”
Suga giggled at your comment, placing the plates down on the table and fetching a bottle of milk tea and two classes.
“I thought you weren’t in the habit of handing out friendship-chocolates,” he teased. Sure, it kind of hurt, knowing you had rejected him yesterday, although technically you had never phrased it. He was just infinitely glad, that he hadn’t completely destroyed your friendship. “Or friendship-Daifuku, I guess.”
“No, I’m not,” you answered, and the suddenly tense tone made Suga freeze mid-motion, making him look up at you. “Those are not friendship-chocolates.”
“What?”
“They’re just… ordinary Valentine’s Day chocolates. The kind you give to the person you like, to confess to them. Because that’s what I’m here for. To tell you that I like you and have liked you a lot for a long time and- yeah. That’s why I’m here anyway.” You exhaled shakily, still not looking up at Suga, who stood like frozen half-way between the fridge and the table you were seated at.
He blinked a few times, trying to make your words make sense in his head. You liked him?
“Why didn’t you just say that yesterday,” he asked the first thought that popped into his mind.
“I tried,” you defended, finally looking up at him, and could see how close you were to bursting into tears. “I tried, but you just ran away and then wouldn’t answer my calls! And I wasn’t sure if you wanted to see me after that…”
Suga swallowed thickly, walking the rest of the way over to you, crouching down besides you and placing the glasses down.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, brushing the back of his fingers over your cheek. “I’m sorry for being such an idiot and confessing in such an undignified manner. And then running away before giving you the chance to answer. I messed up big time.”
“It’s okay-”
“It’s not. It’s really not. But unfortunately, I can’t change how much of an idiot I was in the past, so let me make it up to you? We can go for a walk, take the tea and the Daifuku, sit in the park for a bit and talk? If you’d like, that is.”
You took a deep breath and nodded, a smile finally tucking at your lips.
“Sounds like a date,” you teased, making his heart skip a beat.
“I was hoping for it to be one,” Suga grinned, standing back up.
He already knew exactly which spot in the park he wanted to take you to. Not the one underneath the plum blossoms. The grass there was in the shade, and without the sun it wouldn’t be warm enough for the thin jacket you were wearing. Instead, he’d take you to the other side of the river, that was in full early spring sun, from where you’d have a perfect view on the blossoms. And when you had eaten the treats which you had made and drunk the tea he would bring, he’d tell you again how much he liked you. Properly this time, without the annoyance and impatience in his voice, only with affection and warmth. Because you deserved nothing less than that.
Holding his hand out to you, he helped you off the floor, but didn’t let go immediately. Instead, he brought your hand up to his lips, placing a soft, lingering kiss on your knuckles that made both of your cheeks heat up.
When he pulled away, he quickly busied himself with throwing on a cardigan and pushing the bottle of milk tea he was still holding into one of the pockets before he grabbed the box of treats you had made for him and held his other hand out for you again. After a moment’s hesitation, you placed your own in his, watching as he closed his fingers around yours gently.
“Let’s go,” he smiled, guiding you out of the apartment, locking the door behind you. As he was walking down the stairs, the first box of sweets he had ever gotten for a Valentine’s Day in one hand, your hand in the other, he couldn’t wait to turn the rest of the day into the best first date either of you would have ever been able to imagine.

my serenity - s. kōshi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
home is more than a place. to him, you are his home.
pairing: sugawara kōshi x gn!reader
tags/warnings: fluff, timeskip, no specific pronouns are used, probably overused concept i’m sorry(i wrote this during one of my gaps because i wanted to release a nice short fic! hope you enjoy <3)
Tumblr media
As a teacher, it’s important for Kōshi to be precise. It’s important for him to know things and correctly explain them to students, especially elementary kids who are just learning how the world works. It’s important for him to give these kids the proper stepping stone they need to succeed in the future. So, if one of his students were to ask him what a home was, he would simply tell them— “Well your home would be where you live!” Short and sweet.
Though when he thinks of home he thinks of you. He thinks of the small things you do like when you welcome him with opens arms and a smile. He thinks about your dulcet voice and your melodious laugh that fill the apartment with life. He thinks about the warm aura you bring around that always has his mind at ease. He simply thinks of you. To him, home was never a place where he just lived. If he could choose between an empty apartment or your empty arms, he wouldn’t waste a second before stepping into your arms and wrapping his own around your body. So, the actual definition of home is far from what he truly believes. But, explaining that his home is actually a person would be too difficult for a kid to understand.
Coming home from work is always a huge relief for him. Kōshi loves his job and he loves what he does, but his social battery can only last so long. It’s the same route back home as everyday, the same path he has scripted to memory as he opened the door to your guys’ shared apartment and placing his bags down. It’s only when you appear that his shoulders relax and his eyes soften, “Welcome home” you greet as you smile and walk towards him with open arms— engulfing him in a hug as he squeezed you in his own. He buried his head in your shoulder as he inhaled your scent— “I’m home.”

pairing: fushiguro toji & reader / side pairing stsg x reader an installment to the exposure therapy au warnings/tags: mentions of sex work/escorting, gambling, don't read if weird teacher/student dynamics squick you nothing is meant to be romantic and toji is a shitty teacher word count: ~4.7k
-
“So,” Toji says, eyeing your lone figure in the classroom with a raised eyebrow. “Just you today huh.”
You look up from your book at him, and then your gaze circles the empty room, the three unoccupied desks next to yours make the room feel emptier, bigger. Sorry to disappoint, you think. He’s not the only one. “Just me,” you reply plainly.
Satoru, Suguru, and Shoko aren’t here. The three of them are in Fukuoka. Before they left, Satoru had boasted about a certain famous shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane belonging to his family. Suguru had slammed his closed fist down on his head with a roll of his eyes, dragging Satoru away by the hair, leaving you with a smile and a promise to return promptly. Don’t go anywhere, okay? We’ll be back soon.
When a sleek black car had pulled up to the base of the school, Shoko had reluctantly disentangled herself from your side, complaining about unnecessary appearances.
That had been four days ago.
You heard of a brewing storm in the area. You hope the three of them are staying warm and out of the rain. You hadn’t even expected Toji to drop in on class today. He seems to call out at the mildest inconveniences. The other day he had cited not wanting to see Satoru’s face as a legitimate reason to skip on his duties as a teacher. He’s the worst teacher you’ve ever had.
You close your book. “What’s on the agenda today?”
“Hell if I know,” he shrugs. “Got any ideas?”
You stare at him.
“Forget I asked,” he scoffs. “Right,” one foot is already out the door, “I’m out.”
He stops, back turned to you. Then he sighs wearily, as if you’ve somehow exhausted him.
You are promptly plucked out of your seat, Toji's fingers curled around the back of your collar. When you look at him inquiringly, he simply says: “Field trip.”
Your eyes water as you enter the pachinko parlor. You are greeted by the omnipresent acrid scent of smoke clinging to the yellowing walls and ceiling. You blink away the tears stinging at your eyes, and quickly follow Toji through the large room, passing by multiple seated older men, eyes glued to the bright machines in front of them. All you can hear are the sound of balls clacking and levers being pushed. From what you can gather, nobody has won today. It slightly amazes you how Toji thinks he’ll be the exception.
You follow his dark, foreboding figure to the back of the room, to the very end of the row, where there are only three other men. Only one spares you a glance. There are eyes all over the ceiling, scuttling about. Curses, you note, traces of all the ill will that’s gathered.
There’s a wooden stool. He barely gestures at it before saying, “Sit.”
Toji gets comfortable in front of a large flashing machine, and proceeds to pull out his wallet.
You’re aware gambling is a vice. It’s not really any of your business what your teacher decides to do in his spare time. It’s not as if Megumi and Tsumiki aren’t being taken care of. If this is what Toji would prefer to do over buying the kids new school supplies then…
All that work into keeping Megumi only to gamble his time and money away.
It would be one thing if it was entertaining but…
He’s losing.
Badly. You never expected it to be like this. How awful. If it were you, your dignity could only take so much.
You think it takes a special kind of resilience to be a gambler, but more importantly it takes luck.
You rise from your seat to take a closer look. Not a single metal ball has reached the prize slot no matter how he tries to align his timing with the press of the lever.
You glance at Toji, face alight with a fierce concentration, jaw tight. You sigh.
“You’re losing.”
“Shaddup.”
You sigh again, turn around and seat yourself back on the stool. You open your book. You told Suguru you’d try to finish it by the time he returned.
Someone is hovering. You can see a man out of the corner of your eye. You look up at him, a skinny balding middle aged man in a worn suit, tie loose around his neck, and he nearly flinches. You can hear the plink plink plink of money being lost in front of you.
“Is something the matter?” you ask politely. You figure if anything he’ll ask you for your ID. Without the jacket of your school uniform, you can usually pass off any suspicions of being a student. You aren’t an adult, but you aren’t a child anymore either. You’re of age.
He hesitantly takes a step closer. “How much?”
There are thin, wire glasses on the bridge of his nose. You can see the perspiration building on his forehead. You tilt your head.
Anxious energy radiates off of him. His gaze is fixated on your chest. “Just for the night,” he says quickly. “One night.”
Understanding quickly dawns on you. “I’m sorry,” you start apologetically. “You seem to be mistaken. I’m not an escort.” The man blinks. You continue. “In fact, if you’re looking for one, you might want to look at the man right there.”
You wonder if Toji is into men. If it even matters. Customers are customers. Money is money, and something tells you he isn’t picky.
That elicits an indelicate snort from the aforementioned man. So he is listening.
The man looks dissuaded for a minute, before pressing forward once more. “I can pay,” he says breathily, inching closer to you. His eyes dart to your slightly spread thighs before going unfocused.
Now, just how should you handle this?
You could take his hand, momentarily stop him in his tracks. You’d be gone before he gained consciousness once more. But you’re technically not allowed to use your cursed technique on civilians, and you don’t like doing it either, despite Satoru’s protests about the underutilization of your technique.
A shadow looms above you.
“You bothering my girl?”
You involuntarily shudder at the statement, but the man pales, looking up at Toji fearfully as if he descended from the parted heavens.
“Y-Y-Yours—”
“Mine." Lips peel back, revealing bared teeth in a mockery of a smile. “Fuck off degenerate. Or you’ll be seeing my fist next.”
The man scrambles backwards, almost tripping on his feet. He gives you one last look before you watch him disappear through the rows of metal machines. You look back at Toji, gaze dropping to his empty hand.
“Wow. You didn’t win a single thing.” You think that in itself is a special skill.
An irritated look crosses his face. Green eyes flash. “Damn things are rigged,” he seethes. “ All of ‘em.”
Just as he finishes that statement, shouts fill the front of the room along with shrill celebratory noises. You look at him. His face grows cloudy. You hop off the stool. “I was wondering how long it’d take you to give up.”
He changes the topic. “You look fine for someone who was just solicited.”
You shrug. “Nothing would’ve happened.”
Toji begins to trudge to the exit. A walk of shame. “He looked like he was gonna haul you off to the nearest love hotel.”
“I’ve never been to a love hotel." You had told Satoru and Suguru of your interest to see the interior of one once. They had both fallen quiet for the rest of the walk home. “But it’s not exactly the kind of place you go to alone.”
He shakes his head. “You’re a full time job, you know that?”
You look at him curiously as you step outside. Your lungs are glad to trade the smoke-laden air for fresh air.
“It’s a shame he didn’t solicit you instead,” you remark as the two of you start on a journey to the nearest convenience store. You’d like a drink. Maybe if you’re in a lenient mood you’ll buy Toji one too. “I’m sure you could’ve shown him a better time than me.”
“Dunno about that.” He gives you a scrutinizing once over. “A virgin like you? Hot commodity. ‘Sides,” he smirks. “I’m expensive.”
An unmarked virgin maybe. But any man would recoil from the scars that mark your body. All the assignments from before Shoko. And if not that, then the disfigurement of your side gifted to you from the man right next to you.
“That explains how you can afford to lose so much money.”
Unexpectedly, he takes you in good humor. “You’re a mean little thing when you want to be,” he says. “The mouth on you.”
You blink. Nobody has ever called you mean. Not to your face anyway. You think about it. Maybe this is what Satoru used to dislike about you, back when you hadn’t cared about how he perceived you. All you knew back then was that you said all the wrong things. Now you eagerly await text messages from Shoko. You like it when Satoru smiles, when he flashes you a grin so bright that you can’t help but smile back. You like the soft crease of Suguru’s gaze when he regards you. You like it so much that you can’t sometimes can’t breathe. You’re a different person now. Sometimes, you need to remind yourself of it.
Inside the convenience store, you select black tea for yourself and a coffee for Toji. You walk outside to him chewing on a pork bun and you hand him the drink. It’s a brand you’ve seen him drink before. He stares at the black label. You don’t expect a thank you.
“Tsumiki is starting middle school soon,” you say, staring out into space. “She could use some new school supplies.” Along that line of thinking, Megumi could use a new randoseru.
He’s silent. You’d buy her some yourself, but you think it’d be more meaningful coming from the man who is technically her step-father. She’d be delighted even, you think, and Megumi for as aloof as he tries to be, can only be so distant when it comes to his beloved sister. There have been too many mistakes, too many burned bridges, but this could be a step in the right direction. You don’t think he sleeps at home.
The two of you enjoy the quiet. You finish your drink, and then stand. You’re in a familiar area of the city, and there’s someone you’ve been meaning to see.
“You’re late,” Marie scolds, hand on her hip. You close your eyes at the scent of plum blossoms wafting from her skin. “Think of me as one of your clients. Be punctual!”
“This one’s fault,” Toji grunts out. His knuckles dig into the side of your head with enough force to tip you over, and your eyes snap open immediately. If you were a lesser person, you’d be on the ground. You frown, your head sore. “Found her hoverin’ over some damn stick in the park.”
It would have made an excellent walking stick. You clutch your shopping bag to your chest. “Satoru and Suguru never complain…”
That’s a lie. Satoru has resorted to either holding your hand or staying attached to you at all times to make sure you don’t wander like some bodyguard. Suguru too. You don’t know why. You’d rather just find them later to save them the trouble of finding you.
“Make your boyfriends wait, not me.”
You make a face. He should’ve just left you. Despite that, you hang your head apologetically. It is your fault. You had become distracted multiple times along the way, and a specific distraction had culminated in the shopping bag in your hand. “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize Fushiguro-sensei made plans to be here by a certain time. It was my fault.”
“Damn right.”
He’s a sore loser, you think. You may have said it out loud because his gaze slides to you, mouth opening with what you think is a nasty reply.
Marie shoots him a sharp look. “Now, now Toji. A man like you knows better than to run his mouth like that.”
“Off the clock,” he replies before stepping forward. A throng of women gather around him, cooing and ah’ing, hands skirting over his arms and chest. A man like him has no need to pay for a woman, so you gather they’d sleep with him willingly for free. And from the looks of it, he has a plethora of choices. You hope they aren’t expecting more. Like money. You think many women have been reduced to tears by the man.
Marie clicks her tongue, and a collective sigh sounds the air before the crowd disperses to their actual clients, leaving just one lucky woman who pulls him towards the back of the room, towards the more private area.
“They pulled sticks earlier.” Marie looks amused. “It’s not often Toji comes around for anything other than drinks.”
You smile. “He likes your company. You shouldn’t discount that.”
Her eyes are fond as they look at you. Her fingers brush the hair away from your face. “What a man like that is doing around a sweet girl like you is beyond me.” She sighs, shaking her head. “He’ll corrupt you.”
It’s not that bad, you want to say. Not as long as you hold no expectations about the person he is. The only thing you’ll hold him to is being a father. But other than that you’ve found that you seem to feel a certain kinship with miserable people and your teacher is one of the more miserable people you’ve ever met.
That’s when you see them. A group of girls hovering behind Marie. They span from what looks like your age to a little older, and they seem to be waiting.
“Honestly,” Marie turns to them. “What have I said about standing around the front?”
The girl in the very front pouts, glossy bottom lip jutted out. “But Marie, you said they’d be here! Those two hot guys. I want the black haired one, he was charming!”
“Then I’ll take the one white haired one. Those sunglasses…”
“No, I want that one!”
“I’ll take them both!”
“As if they’d be interested. You’re practically made of plastic!”
“What did you say—”
“GIRLS!”
They reluctantly settle.
“Toji’s students are they?” Another girl asks, voice breathy.
“Not like that,” Marie says chidingly. “Those two respectable high school boys wouldn’t come to a place like this if they didn’t have to,” Marie glances at you. “And I never said they’d be here. You girls and your selective hearing give me a headache!”
“We’re graduating this year,” you say. You don’t think it matters. Jujutsu High is a year longer than regular civilian high schools. Nobody in your class is underage anymore. “I’ll be sure to pass them your way after. But—”
The girls squeal. Marie winces. You’re surrounded at once, the surrounding clash of perfume making you go lightheaded. Someone’s large endowed chest is pressing against your back, and both your arms. Someone is tightly clutching your hand. Everyone is speaking. Their names, their phone numbers, their availability. Not a single girl has listed her rates. You want to tell them that they should because Satoru and Suguru have money to spend. Special grades make a salary far beyond anything normal jujutsu sorcerers do, and that was coming from someone who considered their own pay more than comfortable.
You suddenly understand every single man in the host club more than you ever had before. You, too, would pay for the experience of a beautiful woman looking at you like the only person in the world.
Your face is hot. You’ve never been surrounded by so many beautiful women in your life. Satoru and Suguru and even Toji regularly experience this? You think that’s unfair.
“GIRLS!”
“Satoru and Suguru are in Fukuouka right now,” you say apologetically. Shoko too, you think. But that’s something you’d like to keep to yourself, lest you lose her to another prettier girl.
The girls sigh a collective “awwwww.”
You are reluctantly let go of, on unsteady feet. Marie looks downright annoyed. “I should put you all out for the night! Stop bothering the poor girl, and get back to work!” She barks.
The girls slink away, casting you pleading looks. You smile. Something flutters to the ground. You pick it up. It’s a business card with a number written on the back. Someone had stuffed it into the sleeve of your shirt. You discreetly slide it into your shopping bag. You’ll give it to Satoru and Suguru later. Satoru, when he inevitably complains about how you hadn’t bought him a gift.
And then you feel something more in your shirt.
“Those girls,” Marie scowls as she straightens your shirt and hair with all the vigor of a mother cat grooming her kitten. You almost close your eyes. “The new ones go crazy for a pretty face. They’ll learn soon enough.”
You follow Marie to the bar, unable to help your curiosity as you glance at all the men being entertained on love seats. You recognize some faces from the women that had surrounded Toji, but instead of the excited air that had prompted a frenzy around Toji, everything now is strictly professional.
The life of a jujutsu sorcerer is hard, but in a way you envision anything else. If you ever became a hostess or an escort, you’d fail. People like Toji and the girls can do things you could never do.
Marie pours you a drink as you take a seat. It smells sweet. “I’m sorry about that,” she sighs. “How have things been?”
“Good,” you reply truthfully. Unexpectedly so. You’re visiting Riko next month and you are carefully readying souvenirs to take to her. No deaths (as of now). Suguru and Satoru are happy. Shoko is preparing for medical school. Things are unusually good. You pause. “I was solicited by a man.”
“Oh dear,” Marie closes her eyes. “Now just where has that man been taking you?”
“Just the pachinko parlor.” And the race tracks, but that’s a story for another time.
“Not that seedy place!”
“It wasn’t that bad,” you say. For you. “But I don’t think Fushiguro-sensei has a single yen to his name right now.” In other words: you really hope the woman currently with him isn’t expecting anything other than a good time.
“Oh,” Marie groans. “Born under an unlucky star, that one. He just doesn’t learn.”
“I’ve never seen anyone so unlucky,” you reply gravely, sipping at your plum wine. “I am curious though. I wish Fushiguro-sensei hadn’t scared him off so early. I’ve been wondering about how much he would’ve paid.”
Toji slides into the seat next to you. There’s lipstick on his chin and smudges of it on his neck. “A cheapskate lookin’ guy like that? He would’ve shorted ya. Consider yourself lucky I was there.”
You frown once again. “Nothing would’ve happened.”
He eyes you dubiously. “With you? Who knows.”
You don’t have a reply for that. He’s right.
Marie hums, cleaning a cocktail glass. “That was quick,” she says to Toji. “Done already?”
He waves a blithe hand, not responding. You also look at him.
“Oh dear,” she says in mock concern. The corners of her lips are fighting not to tilt into a smile. “Old age getting to you?”
He narrows his eyes playfully. “Why don’t you find out?”
You eagerly take a long swig of your drink.
Marie straightens, not in the least ruffled, gazing down at him with the countenance of a regal queen. “Things have changed since we first met, Toji. You couldn’t afford five minutes of my time.”
You nod.
Toji grins, and it looks devastatingly charming. “No discount for little ole’ me?”
“You bastard,” a derisive snort. “I’d make you pay more. You’ve never paid for a girl in your life.”
It doesn’t dissuade him. “You know I’d make it worth your time.”
“All this with another woman’s lipstick on your face,” she leans over and lightly pats Toji’s cheek in a vaguely warm, yet condescending manner. She turns to you. “Never let a smooth talker into your bed.”
“You know I do a lot more than talk, Marie.”
Marie rolls her eyes. “Toji, dear. Shut up.” She smiles. “I want to hear about those boys of yours.”
It takes you until Toji snorts to realize she’s talking about Satoru and Suguru.
“They’re fine,” you say. Maybe she’s angling for their wallets. It’s an endeavor you wholeheartedly support.
She imperceptibly leans forward. “Is that all?”
“No girlfriends if that’s what you’re wondering,” you report. You’re sure the two of them will make her money.
Speaking of Satoru, Suguru and Shoko. You take your phone out of your pocket and stare at it. No text messages. It’s been like this for the last four days. They must be busy. You’re not upset by it.
Just…
Maybe a little lonely.
“Thank you for inviting me out today,” you tell Toji. Well. More or less he had dragged you out of your seat under the guise of a field trip. But you’re still glad nonetheless. You enjoyed it. The school is too big without your best friends, and Nanami and Haibara were out on a joint assignment this morning. You don’t know what you would’ve done by yourself. You don’t like to be alone with your thoughts. “It was very educational.”
An eyebrow quirks upwards. “Was it now.”
You look at him. “Yes. I’m never betting on pachinko.”
He clicks his tongue sullenly. Marie exhales a wheeze of laughter.
Then he reaches over to pluck your phone out of your hand. After a second, he tosses it back at you.
Your phone is alight as text messages fill your entire screen. You stare at it, wide eyed as texts start piling in, the latest from Satoru, Shoko, Suguru, or all three.

“Your phone was on silent,” Toji says flatly, if not a bit amused. “How old are you again?”
You’re too eagerly engrossed in reading your text messages that you don’t respond. Marie and Toji share a look.
“I don’t know…” you trail off, ungluing your eyes from your screen. Too many texts. You don’t even know how to begin to respond. So you don’t.
A memory suddenly hits you. Before the three of them left you had been at a cafe with Satoru. While you had been in the midst of typing out Shoko a heartfelt response Satoru had snatched your phone out of your hands, clicked around with it, and slipped it into his pocket.
After then you had subsequently received no text messages. So he had put your phone on silent. You resolve to learn that setting as soon as you go home.
suguru
[17:54] we’re coming back. i’ll see you at the school.
You excitedly stand, waving the text in Toji’s face. “They’re coming back!” You exclaim. “I’m going to meet them.” You quickly bow to them. “Don’t bother coming back early,” you tell Toji. Then you rush out.
You nearly run into Shoko’s open arms, burying your face into her shoulder. She smells like dewy grass. Back inside Satoru’s room in jujustu tech, the four of you are together. It feels as if they never left.
“Welcome back,” you say breathlessly. “How was Fukuouka?”
“Wet,” she says, making a face. “How was your field trip?”
“Interesting. I think Fushiguro-sensei is the unluckiest man in the world.”
“Well, I don’t doubt that,” she replies. “I bought you souvenirs.”
“Me too,” you blurt out. Your face warms. “Well not a souvenir, really.” You give her the shopping bag in your hand. “I saw it and thought that…” that it’d look perfect on her, “that maybe you could wear it to the next festival…?”
Before she can unravel your impromptu gift, an airy voice cuts through.
“So the two of us are chopped liver now, are we Suguru?”
“It seems that way, Satoru.”
“How awful,” Satoru sniffs. “After all the trouble we went through to get here early.”
“It was an ordeal, wasn’t it?” Suguru’s smile turns a hint menacing. Your fingers go sweaty. “I’m more interested in this ‘educational field trip. ’”
“It was educational,” your rebuttal is weak.
“Is that right,” Suguru hums. “I’m looking forward to hearing all about it.”
You look at Shoko helplessly. She shrugs.
Satoru frowns, rounding on you. “I can’t believe you! Not a single text the entire time we were gone! Just what were you two doing anyway? Confess!”
“You’re the one that put my phone on silent,” you reply. “I didn’t even know. I thought the three of you were too busy to update me.”
Satoru opens his mouth. You can see the moment he realizes you’re right. His mouth closes.
Suguru rolls his eyes. Shoko shakes her head. The two of them promptly slap the back of his head, earning a yelp from the white-haired boy.
“Besides, I haven’t forgotten about you two,” you say, thinking about the cards. Satoru perks up at the prospect of a gift. He’s surprisingly easy to handle at times. Like a child. It’s not bad, you think. Not at all. You smile, reaching into your pocket and pulling out a stack of cards.
“For you two.”
They momentarily glance at each other before taking the cards.
“Wait,” you pat down the sides of your body. “Ah—” three cards tucked into the waistband of your skirt that you hadn’t noticed before “—here you go.”
They stare down at the cards in their hands in silence.
"...Thank you," Suguru says, ever polite, voice strained.
You beam. “Your welcome. The two of you should go with Fushiguro-sensei next week." The two of them wear matching grimaces. "The girls really want to see you again." You look at Satoru. "Even you Satoru!"
"Hah!? What is that supposed to mean!?"
You're sure the prospect of being surrounded by beautiful women will make them more amenable to the idea. Shoko is laughing.
“Wait right here,” Shoko says quickly, getting up from the floor. A quick squeeze of your arm. “I’m getting your souvenirs.”
You turn back to them. “Was Fukouka fun?”
“...The same as always,” is Satoru’s somewhat peeved response as he throws you a box of mentaiko flavored chips. “Annoying old geezers nearing the grave. We skipped the onsen.”
The fact that Suguru doesn’t even correct Satoru on his words says enough.
“Oh. You shouldn’t have.” It would’ve been a nice way to end their trip. You plop a chip into your mouth. It’s too salty for Satoru’s tastes, but you enjoy it just fine.
Suguru smiles. His fingers are playing with the edges of your hair, lightly tugging. “Next time, we’ll all go together.”
“That would be fun. I’d like that.” You go quiet for a few seconds. “I missed you two.”
Satoru puffs up. “Tell me more.”
“I was a little lonely without everyone. I think that’s why Fushiguro-sensei took me out on a fieldtrip today.”
In other words: he was being oddly considerate. In his own way.
Satoru deflates, pouting. You don’t notice, lost in your thoughts.
“Satoru, Suguru.” The two of them look at you. “If I were an escort, how much would you pay for a night with me?”
The two of them go silent.

sugawara was spacing off the day you arrived
he didn’t even catch when the teacher announced their section has just received a new transfer student
but what he did notice, was how stunning you were once you walked into the classroom
like the grip on his pen goes slack and it rolls off his desk and onto the floor clattering (😭😭)
he quickly picks it up before looking back up to find which desk you just sat down at
he sneaks glances at you the whole rest of the period
AND WHEN YOU ACCIDENTALLY CATCH HIM 🫠
internally he panics and freaks out and almost shuts down completely bc what if you thought he was looking at you bc he thought you were weird or something
when that is DEFINITELY not the case!!!
so on the outside he gives you a warm and reassuring smile
if you smiled back before looking to the front of the classroom again
you’d miss how his ears have turned an excruciatingly obvious shade of red
he’ll ask around about you during volleyball practice, specifically with the other third years
“have you seen that new girl in your classes too?” [sugawara]
“which one?” [asahi]
“y/n? the one from the philippines?” [daichi]
“the philippines?!” [sugawara]
he had no clue (since bro was not locked in when the teacher first introduced you)
now he’s wondering how you’re getting by, coming to a completely new country and all
can you speak the language here? are you having a hard time? can he help you with that?
sugawara’s such a gentleman, he can’t help but worry for your well being!
(he especially can’t help it when you look so pretty whenever you pass him in the halls in-between classes)
sugawara isn’t necessarily a shy guy, so he eventually (bc granted it took a few days for him to muster up the courage) comes up to you one day at the end of class
“hello! how is school here for you so far?” [sugawara]
“oh! um, it—” [you]
“MY NAME’S SUGAWARA BY THE WAY OR YOU CAN CALL ME SUGA EITHER IS FINE.” [sugawara]
yeah he totally nailed that. went totally to plan
“my name’s y/n. nice to meet you sugawara!” [you]
you know enough to talk to him oh my god you’re talking to him so he feels more encouraged to keep talking to you more!
whether that’s after class, or in passing in the halls
or for instance he’ll eat lunch with you if he ever sees you eating alone while you’re still in the process of making friends after your initial transfer
shows interest in what baon you have packed for the day
always eager to listen to you talk about where you’re from and your stories from back home
as you talk, he listens sooo intently with the most admiring look on his face "he wants that cookie so fucking bad"
if you get hung up on finding a translation for a word, he’ll help you through it
is quickly looking up translations of words in tagalog on his phone under the lunch table
he thinks you don’t catch it but you totally do he’s not slick
(despite this, sometimes you make it into a little game)
“so it’s like mcdonald’s?” [sugawara]
“nooo! jollibee isn’t a… a… ? oh, what is it in japanese—?” [you]
“franchise? like more than one shop?” [sugawara] (furious typing can be heard)
“no, it’s the person with makeup.” [you]
“mascot? the one in a costume?” [sugawara] (more aggressive backspacing and typing as he occasionally glances to something at his side)
“almost! the one with big shoes!” [you]
“clown? pasayo?” [sugawara]
“yes, clown! thanks suga!” [you]
(your smile is so cute as you thank him for helping you that he feels like he can melt right then and there) (you knew the word for “clown” the whole time)
asks ukai like every week if his store is carrying any of the snacks or foods you’ve mentioned—chippy, clover, piattos, mang juan, pancit canton—anything he can get his hands on to see your face light up when he surprises you with it
will watch any teleseryes you recommend
and when he sees the whole harana courting deal on those shows, he’s like “ok bet”
that’s how he’s going to turn this friendship to something more!
will start offering to walk you home sometimes, and if you live with family members he would try to get good on their good side and always politely waves hi to them when he drops you off
writes you small and cute notes in class or slips them into your bag when you’re not looking as his own kind of love letter sitch
and when he’s ready to really shoot his shot
he has kiyoko to help him fold origami flowers (real ones would’ve been harder to hide in his bag) so cute i’m sobbing </3
and before he drops you off one day, he might not feel confident enough to sing to you 😭
butttt instead he finds popular filo songs and queues them up to play from his phone in his pocket
then he gives you the flowers <3
“p-pwede ba kitang maging boyfriend? (google translated "can i be your boyfriend?")” [sugawara]
