I’m a huge @thedragonprince fan and had to jump in and participate in #TDPtober! Day 17’s theme is Guard and I decided to take on Amaya standing proud and powerful with her massive great shield held over her head. Not only is Amaya the guardian of her family as the protective aunt of Callum and Ezran, but she is one of the highest ranking generals of Katolis and leader of the Standing Batallion, charged with guarding all of Katolis at the border with Xadia. With Book Four just around the corner (CANNOT wait!) I drew Amaya in her updated armor and hairstyle, but wanted to ground her a little in her own history so I depicted her carrying her sister Sarai’s spear.
