‼️and 🔁 hehe
ok fine you get an awesome i_blog_to_lose_followers hot take
‼️ Hot take/unpopular opinion?
Here's another one. I absolutely despise, loathe and hate team lotto jumbo visma lease a bike (men) with every fiber of my being. I have teams I hate for moral reasons (UAE, IPT at the front) and then I have visma. That I've hated for years and years for a variety of reasons even when they had chronic loser-itis back in the 2010s. like if you asked me which team i hate the most my first thought would actually be them :'/
Disclaimer: You might want to stop reading here if you think i'm a cool mootie and you like vlab <3 i love u i just disagree <3
First off, I started watching cycling as a classic sky hater and I just can't go against my ways - I haaaaate the way they race. The sky method but worse. It's their fucking fault we can't even have normal fun breakaways in GTs. Like sorry the 2020 TDF was deeply traumatizing to me because I thought we were finally done with the sky era race lockdowns and here comes yumbo with the most conservative racing you've seen in a lifetime, chasing down every break, every GC guy down 10 minutes and expanding energy for no purpose while not even going on the attack themselves and just playing the Roglic bonus seconds meme game. AND FOR WHAT? Like if they raced properly and not like absolute buffoons Roglic would've won this TDF EASILY because pogi would've had no chance of catching up. Instead they gave us the most boring TDF I've ever seen and still had the audacity to flop - which was absolutely cathartic but didn't help my haterisms around them.
I also hate the way they operate since they're one of those evil teams with excessively deep pockets buying out all the talent the young riders etc etc. Them and UAE share the exact same levels of evilness in my mind for that and I have no clue why UAE seems to get more criticisms for it around here lmao - like sorry what in the fresh hell was the Cian situation. I also hate their staff! Not just Plugge! Many things to say about how many of the Rabobank guys are still there! which leads me to mention i think they're one of the worst teams out here about transforming donkeys into race horses and chihuahuas into mountain goats (i still love u babygirl but you were on thin ice for a while bc wtf was that) but lalalalala im not saying anything else God Bless <3
Obviously I like variety in my race results and I have not exactly been kind to pogi lately because of it and. Same thing here. Seeing them win all three grand tours last year made me want to seriously give up on the sport for the first time ever (and I've been watching since 2012), same with all the other stage race wins and whatever they're picking up along the way.
But what if I cared about their riders? WELL I DON'T. I only like Wout. And that's in spite of him being on the team, and as you might have learned from previous rants it is an uphill battle to still love him through his shitty team decisions. Every single other rider on the team are somewhere between I don't care to I actively dislike (tho I will always like a rider that transfers there a little less so I'm not being fair). Actually I like Campy which. sucks for me i guess. But he's just gonna be their old man jester for one year so wtv. all of the other guys tho? the jonis the seppies the whatever even the roglas and the dumos before? I SERIOUSLY DON'T CARE. and worse for some of them.
Which brings me to my last point. MAYBE I COULD LIKE THEM A LITTLE MORE IF THIS WASN'T FOR THEIR MIND BOGGLINGLY ANNOYING CORPORATE ADVERTISING. I'm so baffled their #samenwinnen shit actually works on people's brains and don't even get me started on the rpf implications here (hate ALL of it). All their PR and advertising revolves into a corporate neocapitalism with a gold bow regurgitated discourse of "we're all a BIG family here ♥" and it's sooooooo yucky wtf? I can't take seriously any content they put out, any interviews riders give while talking about teamwork yaddayadda. And I truly believe in my heart of hearts that their managerial structure is toxic as hell (why would it be different than another company going all in on the WE'RE ALL FAMILY model?) and that one day the Wout van Aert autobiography will give us all their secrets because he's the only one who has been a bit vocal about not liking how things are run here Smile (and then signed a forever contract. you got stockholm syndrome or what my dude). Anyways this makes everyone seem fake as hell and doesn't make me want to like either of them individually.
I'd also like to mention they're (i think. i admit i could be biased on that one.) the biggest offenders of having riders post their fucking kids online for race photos AND I CAN'T STAND THAT. Can people please stop posting their fucking kids all over social media? Can anyone be responsible over there? I wanted to call this a pet peeve of mine but like. Just don't do that for the love of god. I'm putting it here because I think the visma pr loves that shit and encourages it :)
thank u if you made it to there. please dont unfollow me
🔄 What team kit would you like to completely redesign for next season?
alpecin and i'm in 100% agreement over @pinkpogiclub 's observations about how we need to bring their red and white kit back.
also just. bora... and go back to green. like a few years before green a lot of green. im begging you. maybe light green (cannondale 2014 lime green) since this wouldn't be declared unlawful by the uci's new dumb jersey color rule.

just started tdfu s2 and i know they didn't use the title 'julian's partner' for marion 'women's tdf race director, 2012 french road champion, commentator' rousse
#i'm half kidding as i know all of that wasn't really relevant in context but i take my role as an annoying feminist very seriously#but also they literally include some of her commentary in the episode like come on#also sorry if i'm not interacting with your live blogging of the series i have the tag blocked until i'm finished with it#which could take 1 day like 2 weeks no idea

Game-Changing HIV Prevention: Explore the Latest PrEP Options that Could Stop the Spread of Disease Virally
Game-Changing HIV Prevention: Explore the Latest PrEP Options that Could Stop the Spread of Disease Virally Game-Changing HIV Prevention: Explore the Latest PrEP Options that Could Stop the Spread of Disease Virally The search for effective HIV prevention methods has been ongoing since the early '80s. Fortunately, researchers have made significant progress in understanding the HIV virus and how it spreads. Initially, treatments were only available for people who were already diagnosed with HIV, but eventually, scientists developed effective pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) options. In this article, we'll explore the latest PrEP options and how they can stop the spread of disease virally. What is PrEP? PrEP is a medication that is taken daily to help prevent the transmission of HIV. PrEP works by blocking the HIV virus from infecting cells in the body. According to numerous studies, PrEP is up to 99% effective in preventing the transmission of HIV when taken as prescribed. The Latest PrEP Options There are currently two FDA-approved medications for PrEP: Truvada and Descovy. Truvada has been around for more than a decade and is the most commonly used PrEP medication. However, in recent years, Descovy has gained popularity due to its lower risk of potential kidney problems compared to Truvada. Truvada Truvada is a combination of two antiretroviral drugs: tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) and emtricitabine (FTC). Truvada has been used as an HIV treatment medication since 2004 and was approved for use as PrEP in 2012. Descovy Descovy is also a combination medication containing tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) and emtricitabine (FTC). Unlike Truvada, Descovy has not been approved for use in cisgender men and transgender women as studies have shown it is less effective than Truvada in those populations. Who Can Benefit from PrEP? PrEP is recommended for anyone who is at high risk of contracting HIV. This includes: - Men who have sex with men. - People who inject drugs. - People who have sex with partners who are HIV-positive. - People who have sex without condoms. - People who have contracted an STI in the past six months. However, anyone who is considering taking PrEP should talk to their healthcare provider to determine if it is the right choice for them. How to Get PrEP To get a PrEP prescription, you will need to visit a healthcare provider who can perform a blood test and assess if you are a good candidate for PrEP. Your healthcare provider will also need to rule out any underlying medical conditions that may prevent you from taking PrEP. Once your healthcare provider determines that PrEP is right for you, they will prescribe a medication. Many insurance plans cover PrEP, but for those without insurance, there are assistance programs available to help cover the cost. Conclusion The latest PrEP options have revolutionized HIV prevention, greatly reducing the risk of HIV transmission in high-risk individuals. PrEP is not a replacement for practicing safe sex, but it is an additional tool in the fight against HIV. With the right education and resources, we can continue to see progress in the fight against HIV and work towards ending the spread of this disease. #HEALTH Read the full article

Claims about the superiority of Descovy, the new pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) option, are “overstated,” and Truvada remains a highly effective and safe choice for the vast majority of PrEP users, according to a commentary in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
Truvada, approved for HIV treatment in 2004 and for PrEP in 2012, contains tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), one of the most widely used antiretroviral medications. Descovy, initially approved in 2016, contains tenofovir alafenamide (TAF), which leads to less drug exposure for the kidneys, bones and other organs. The combination pills, both manufactured by Gilead Sciences, also contain emtricitabine (FTC), a drug with minimal side effects.

Out of curiosity, if you could choose one performance from each of your favorite skaters, which performances would you pick?
lol this has been sitting in my drafts for weeks because i can’t decide. i’m going to pick performances that not only had special meaning for the skaters, but also for me, so it might not necessarily be the first thing i’d recommend to a newbie who doesn’t know anything about the skater. with a few exceptions, i’m limiting myself to competitive programs, and i’m not going to choose for younger skaters who still have a considerable length of their careers ahead of them, because i want to see what else they can still bring to the table. also i have many more faves than listed here but for a lot of them, i just love several performances equally, there isn’t one that stands out the most.
mao asada: rach 2 fs at the 2014 olympics. seems almost like it’s too obvious but this was truly a performance that encapsulated her spirit and her career.
daisuke takahashi: this is impossible, the main appeal of dai is his versatility and range of expression, i can never pick just one of dai’s anything… if i had to choose right now, if i had to, i guess i would choose la strada at 2010 worlds. (but i would probably change my mind on this every other day.)
akiko suzuki: “o” fs at 2012 nhk trophy. one of my favorite programs of all time. for the emotional impact, poto fs at 2013 nationals.
takahiko kozuka: io ci saro fs at 2014 nationals. but my favorite taka programs are actually his exhibitions - free fallin’ and the sound of silence in particular.
nobunari oda: liebestraum fs at 2016 japan open. i actually like nobu’s skating more after he retired, he just keeps getting better with age.
kanako murakami: i love too many of her competitive performances to pick, but gotta shout out her nectar flamenco ex at 2014 nationals because it is amazing.
tatsuki machida: east of eden sp at 2014 worlds. and so many of his exhibitions, but i’m restraining myself.
yuna kim: send in the clowns sp at 2014 olympics. it has the most personal meaning for me, but she has many other iconic performances so this is hard to choose.
adam rippon: arrival of the birds fs, can’t decide between 2016 TDF and 2018 olympic team event.
jeremy abbott: exogenesis fs at 2012 nationals…or 2014 worlds.
mirai nagasu: demons sp at 2016 worlds
yuzuru hanyu: r&j fs at 2012 worlds. just for me, personally.
patrick chan: a journey…but i’m not sure which performance. i’m biased towards skate canada, even with the mistakes, because it was the only time i saw him compete live.
sui/han: bridge over troubled water fs at 2017 worlds. they still have so much ahead of them but i think what they did with this program will be remembered forever.
shen/zhao: obvious, but turandot fs at 2003 worlds.
michelle kwan: also extremely hard to choose, but right now i’m feeling lyra angelica at 1998 nationals.

Congratulations @philippegilbertofficial on a very successful cycling career! 🚲 Gilbert is the 2012 Road Cycling World Champion 🌈 He will be retiring on 15 Oct 22, hence, this will be his last Tour de France. Le Tour
Chris Froome is back? He is well down on the standings, but he took a shot and finished 3rd on the 2022 TdF Mountain stage 12. There is no threat of him taking a 5th tour title.
I am conflicted about him.
I am sure he was a doper. He has tested positive in races and lawyered his way out. He had to go to Kenya several times a year for "treatments" that he could not get in the UK. Hmmmm.
He was born in Kenya, raised in South Africa, but has UK citizenship as his parents were British. He famously betrayed his team leader to grab a stage win in the 2012 TdF. He was/is an asshole.
But he suffered a horrific crash that tore his body apart. Survival was an accomplishment. To come back race fit is a monumental achievement. Full credit to him for that.
I also found that he and I share our Birthdays. There are only 365 to choose from.

Fresh Insights into New High-cost HIV Prevention Drug
Fresh Insights into New High-cost HIV Prevention Drug
Since 2012, there has been one FDA-approved PrEP formulation: the combination of tenofovir/emtricitabine (F/TDF), marketed by Gilead Sciences and sold under the brand name Truvada®. Patent protection for F/TDF is due to expire and the first generic version is expected in September 2020. “F/TDF has a strong record of safety and efficacy,” said Tim Horn, director, Medication Access and Pricing at…
