           ‘ jessica- ’ a  breath  taken,  a  young  one’s  foolhardy  mistake  as  the  scent  washes  down  on  her,  a  singular  flame  rather  than  a  forest  fire,  owed  to  nothing  more  than  careful  precaution  piled  upon  careful  precaution.  teeth  grind  down  on  themselves,  weapons  attacking  nothing  but  their  own.  butterscotch  gaze  lights  upon  the  girl’s  face,  focuses  on  the  white  noise  of  vapid  thoughts,  the  repellent  of  body  spray,  the  appallingly  numbing  mundane  that  defines  her  to  edythe’s  mind.  there,  she  is  human  once  more,  though  with  the  edge  of  flash  irritation  that  comes  along  with  dealing  amongst  other  people.  a  flicker  of  dimples,  though  honey  hues  remain  hard.  ‘ a  little  politesse  would  be  nice  in  return. ’

day 02: favorite portrayals of a character in another fandom

another day, another post yooooooo. i’m so excited to get to give a shoutout to all these amazing blogs i follow!! honestly, it makes me so happy to not be limited to just one fandom and be able to follow all of you wonderful people. it’s truly a pleasure to have you all lighting up my dashboard on a daily basis. ♡♡

listen. there is something to be said about those people that take underappreciated or minor characters from a fandom and make them their own. these people are the best. they try so hard, often times they have a much harder time breaking into the fandom. a lot of times, they end up having to create backstories and headcanons and relationships from scratch. the work that these people do deserves bucket loads of adoration and tbh i could go on and on about them but here are just a few that you should follow and love and appreciate:

@showmaxter ( caeser flickerman -- the hunger games ) --- ok so real talk i know we’ve literally never spoken and have written like one very minor thing at its very beginning stages but your blog is incredible. like way back when i actually saw hunger games blogs on my dash, i never understood why the hell no one took on the task of writing caeser because he was such a dynamic character and left so much room for creating an awesome backstory. so basically when i saw your blog for the first time, i had to calm my flailing for two seconds to appreciate just how incredible it was and just how incredible your writing and portrayal are. and believe me you didn’t disappoint for a second and you continue to blow my mind each and every time i see you post on the dash.

@atomiism ( ray palmer -- arrow )  --- i mean i’m classifying ray as a minor character bc i feel like he wasn’t one of the super core members of the show but at the same time, i struggle a lot to see him as that because the way that you write him and the way that you go about every last detail of your blog just makes him seem so much larger than life. your passion and love for this character bleeds into every little thing that you write. every reply, every starter, every headcanon, every meme response. you’re a god damn treasure. and i’ve told you before and i’ll tell you again that i think you are one of the best writers i’ve ever seen. you inspire me on the daily to be a better writer and a better person. you are so full of light and positivity and goodness that you have made this experience a hundred times better for me.

@worserthoughts ( michael darling -- peter pan ) --- alright listen up. i feel like i may have told you this before, probably in passing, but i love your blog. and not only do i love it i just love it. your writing. your theme. your fc choice. your verses. your everything just constantly blows my mind. and i know that technically michael might not typically be considered a “minor” character but since he was never featured on ouat and since you developed him so well that i just have a totally new appreciation for him. you put in so much work to everything that you do and it shows. not to mention, you are literally one of my favorite people to talk to and write with and flail with. you make rp fun. and lately it seems like it’s hard to find people that do that.

@mollisms ( molly weasley -- harry potter ) --- tbh i can’t even believe i worked up the courage to tag you because your blog is honestly way too incredible for me to even be near. you write molly freaking weasley. and not only that, but you write all variations of molly weasley. you expand the very narrow universe that canon gave her, manage to take that essence and bring it to new faceclaims and verses and interactions. honestly every time you’re on my dash i have to pause for a second and just be like ‘holy shit what an incredible blog’ 

@tcwngossip ( jessica stanley -- twilight ) -- arguably, there is no celebrity i love as much as i love anna kendrick. and sometimes i find it hard to believe that she was in twilight just because jessica is one of those characters that you can so easily overlook if you let yourself. but you, dear god, you make it impossible to forget her, and impossible not to love her. because jessica was ( can anyone even argue this? ) the best character in that whole saga. love it or hate it, that girl was the bomb. and you write her with just as much perfection as she deserves. which is a lot. because jessica stanley was the hero we needed all along. 

@amongwclves ( claire young -- twilight. ) --- if i remember correctly i think clarie had like ???? two seconds of screen time in twilight ???? literally hardly even a speaking role. and in the novels i feel like there wasn’t much either. but seriously like you have a gift of being able to spot something there and to just run with it. you have a gift for minor characters. which is obvious. because i’m literally mentioning you twice in a row in one post about minor characters needing more appreciation. duh. but seriously you write muses that are so fundamentally different than one another and to be freakin honest man, i had to double check to make sure they were both written by you because uh? no one can be that talented and write with that much range and expertise and be able to capture two totally different characters with this much ease? but again. you proved me wrong. and i love you for that.

and last but NEVER least: @crispyblonde ( jessica moore -- supernatural ) gets another shout out because jessica moore is my favorite and so are you and you deserve all the love in the world like, jess had, what?, three? four? episodes of actual character development? and you just took that and were like, nope not good enough, and now you have one of the most thorough, most thought out, most gripping and most dynamic portrayals of a minor spn character that i’ve ever seen. actually, of a spn character i’ve ever seen. period. you’re incredible and jess may be a minor character that was only on a few episodes here and there, but you make her feel like a central part of the story ( which she is, and should be ) and you give her the love she deserved in canon.

In her deference though Alona spend her time helping people, she was actually friends with the squad and people liked her, Lauren was. . . . Well Lauren.
