((The weight of why Flynn gets so aggressive so quickly just hit me like a brick (again): In his mind he's talking to Kariom but because the player is playing from, in that instance, Roui's pov, asking questions because Roui doesn't know Flynn or anyone else, understand anything, etc, you're playing straight into Flynn's hands or, more specifically, his fears: ' What if a day comes and the kiddo isn't our kiddo anymore? What if he loses his personality?' that is legitimately what's happening because you're stuck as Roui.

Flynn NEVER clocks or understands that he's not talking to Kariom in that instance (so far as we know, that could very well come up later and definitely will) and in his mind his worst fear is happening right in front of him---the whole star/shuffling situation is one that he detests outright but this is way more severe---and he clearly doesn't know how to handle it. Even him trying to smooth things over is jarring because not even Flynn will know if it'll work.))

Hey, don't be so quick to dismiss Flynn! Picture this: his two big wings wrapping around you like a soft, feathery cloud, making you feel all safe and secure...

Bo's hugs feel different because his wings are covered in velvety skin, and when he hugs you, it feels like being wrapped in a warm, heavy blanket.

How to carry Kariom properly:

✅️ CORRECT. Hold your Kariom by the armpits like you would hold your cat.

Soil blackened hands stop their ministrations and Flynn's left ear twitches at the other's words---his right is pointed towards the house, pointed towards the kiddo, pointed towards his sick kiddo---until, eventually, Flynn rises from the kneeling position he'd been in, his hands automatically wiping themselves off on his equally dirty coveralls.

"Aye, that he did. Passed out faster than I could blink. Looked like he was having a dizzy spell and then th' next second I was haulin' him inside like a freshly cut veglamb." Flynn pauses; both ears now cocked backwards in a clear sign of aggression as his explanation quickly turns into an outright vent. "The dizzy spells, the faintin', the damned nosebleeds? He could hear the stars---Can you hear the stars? Is it loud? Does it hurt?---despite it not even bein' night out! Explain that ta me!" And tell me what we're going to do when it all inevitably gets worse. Eventually Flynn's posture softens---he forces it to, if only a little---and when the immortal resumes speaking his tone of voice is notably more amicable. This too, is forced.

"....He's sleeping right now, ishul? I'm not about to let him out of my sight so just.....LET HIM REST FOR NOW." The sight of the half-blood gingerly touching his temple as Flynn headed the short distance outside in order to quickly finish tending to the crops was unmistakable and it meant only one thing: It meant that the REAL TROUBLE HADN'T EVEN STARTED YET. Flynn was, in all seriousness, no more than a few paces away from the door to the house and even that felt like too far. ".....I'm WATCHIN' OUT FOR HIM JUST LIKE ALWAYS. You an' Bo can come back in the mornin'. Early as you want." Maybe he'll be back to normal by then. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
