CURSED CHILD.
ă tcf x child! reader ă
summary : the white star loved his child, he really does.
â OH, GOSH. I HATE MY LIFE. â
The red-haired child couldn't help but frown as she walked through the hallways of the orphanage. Everyone knew how famous the Sekka family is in the Paerun Kingdom. That's why when the son and the future duke of that family showed an interest in an orphan like her, the whole orphanage became happy.
The little redhead's reddish brown eyes held a glint of annoyance as she looked at her arms that were covered with the sleeves of her clothes. The fact that the young master of the Sekka dukedom is here to visit her again, made the staff of the orphanage buy an expensive-looking dress that'll surely cover her bruises and dress her up. "You better not mess up this time, (name)."
"Yes." The little girl blankly said as they stopped walking. (Name), the girl looked at the huge door in front of her with a stoic expression on her face. "You were lucky that Young Master Clopeh is fond of you."
Fond? Seems like he's obsessed to me.
She deadpanned, watching how the woman in front of her opened the door. Revealing a young man sitting in a wheelchair, elegantly sipping on his tea. Rei could only sigh as she saw how the woman who was supposed to be her caretaker blushed at the sight. And she only blushed even more when Clopeh tucked his white hair behind his ear as his brilliant green eyes met (name)'s reddish-brown ones. (Name) wanted to curse and run away when she saw how Clopeh's face brightened when he saw her.
"(Name)!"
Rei's lips curved onto a bright smile as she walked towards Clopeh while internally telling herself that violence was never an answer. "Hello, sir!" Acting like a child was something that Rei was used to so this was a piece of cake for her. Clopeh smiled fondly as he ruffled (Name)'s hair before looking at the woman behind her, signalling her to leave. And the woman gladly obeyed.
And seeing that her caretaker left. (Name) found herself wishing that the Arm would appear before her and slash her body into two so she could just move on to her next life and make sure to avoid the people who were similar to the guy in front of her. The calm and noble-like aura that Clopeh was radiating earlier completely disappeared. He clasped his hands together and started reciting some kind of prayer before looking at the little redhead with a blush on his face.
This lunatic. (Name) sweatdrop.
The most handsome bachelor in the Paerun Kingdom? A noble knight? The future head of the Sekka household? No. In (name)'s eyes, Clopeh Sekka was a certified lunatic who for some reason started to treat her like some kind of God.
"I brought your favourite cookie with me, (Name)-nim."
Ah fuck, I hate my life.

- whenever cale goes somewhere and can't bring them, they'd go like "I'll be going for a while" (cale) "I'll always be here" (s/o)
- stealing cales clothes bc its comfy!!
- "are you asleep?" "...no" "wanna talk?"
- "I love you" "I've loved you my entire life"

another anon said: cale who acts like a lover to his "closest confidant", though they are not in a relationship, they certainly do act like oneâ to the point that his crew would question them, to which they'd respond "We're just friends" "What do you mean? They look at you like you're their entire world"â which then starts their operation, get cale a lover
Cale Henituse is someone who has a lot of people under his wing. He's a heroic person busy saving the continentsâ no, the world. Which was why it is no surprise to find out that he has a close confidant. He has a second-in-command who helps him plan everything and is in charge of backup plans in case something goes wrong.
All of that is normal. Expected even.
What isnât normal is how they act towards each other.
They act like⊠people who have a deeper relationship than just friends, for lack of a better term.
Like right now. [Name] is holding onto Caleâs arms as they navigate through this tiresome ball. Looking at him as if he had hung up the moon and the stars.
âYour Highness, you are quite close to the both of them⊠are we sure they are merely close friends?â
One of the nobles talking to Alberu Crossman questions as everyone watches the commander-and-deputy-commander duo dance in the centre of the hall.
âOf course they are. They have said so themselves.â
Alberu adds on at the end about how they shouldnât inquire about another personâs private life.
However, Alberu himself is quite frustrated.
It was the truth when he said the two are nothing more than friends. And thatâs what frustrates him. The two idiots canât see the way they stare at each other. Canât notice how they are unconsciously each otherâs priority no matter what happens.
Alberu also knows that he isnât the only one feeling this way.
No, as a matter of fact, everyone in Caleâs group feels the same frustration the future king feels.
âWhen will they get together? They deny their feelings as if we didnât see them cuddling last night while reading a novel.â
On complained one day while eating the crown princeâs cookies.
âIâve always known that our young master was quite dense in the aspect of love but⊠hmmm, I must say that this level is getting frustrating.â
Ron shared his own opinion as he served everyone tea.
Well everyone except the two people who are the topic of their discussion. Of course, they arenât. For they were busy cuddling in the newly installed swing in the garden of the black castle while reading a novel. [Name] is busy platonically nuzzling their head in Caleâs chest, while Cale himself is busy platonically draping his legs over [name] as they lay down on the large swing.
âMerely friends my assâ
Alberu thinks to himself as he watches the two from the window while sipping on the tea Ron served.
The people inside the room merely complained about Cale and [Name]âs relationship. They did not say anything about forcing them to get together and be in a romantic relationship.
And itâs not because they respect what the two have now.
No, it was simply because they didnât need to say such things out loud. The complaints they have said out loud are enough confirmation to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
That everyone will be doing their best to show those two knuckleheads that what they have is more than platonic.
âYou do know that you only let [Name] braid your hair like that. Do you realise just how much special privilege you give them?â
âWhat special privilege? The kids also braided my hair.â
Alberuâs dumb dongsaeng stared at him in confusion and the crown prince swears his about to have an aneurysm.
âYes, but they are your kids. Of course, youâll indulge them.â
âThat is trueâŠâ
For a moment Alberu thought that they were finally heading somewhere.
âBut [Name] is the only one who can braid my hair neatly like this.â
Turns out the only place they are heading to is back to square one.
Alberu pushed down the urge to smack a chair in his beloved dongsaengâs face. How could he forget Ronâs existence? The Ron that does every task perfectly, but still could not braid the redheadâs hair because âonly [Name] can do it perfectlyâ.
Cale better be glad Alberu didnât transform Taerang into a hammer and threw it in his face.
âI love you, you know that right?â
[Name] had asked Cale during one of their cuddling sessions and Raonâs ears perked up.
âOf course I do.â
Cale answered casually and it got Raonâs hopes up.
âAre you guys together???â
He asked, eyes full of hope.
âWhat do you mean silly? Of course, weâre together, weâve been friends for years now.â
That night Raon did not speak to any of them, and the two idiots only thought he was sick and tried to coax him to talk to them.
Subtle advances like that continued for a while before they all admitted defeat. One day Rosalyn even straight up asked [Name] how they felt about Cale. To which the deputy commander only responded with âheâs my best friend of courseâ before going on their merry way to steal another one of Caleâs clothes.
Just when all of them are about to give up Alberu caught the two of them talking in that same swing one night.Â
He was about to go back to the palace. Only went to sneak into Raonâs castle to talk to Cale about an important business that cannot be said through a communication device. However, just as he was about to teleport back he heard the two.
âWhy are you still awake?â
âI couldnât sleep. You werenât in bed.â
âWanna talk then?â
Alberu silently scoffs at them. Even their conversations sound like their married already.
They talk for a few minutes. Topics vary from the mundane to philosophical questions no one can answer.Â
It didnât look like Alberu would get anything from eavesdropping so he thinks about going home.
But thenâŠ
âI know weâre both too busy. I know this will only add more burden to you. However, I must say it.â
[Name] spoke gently. Their eyes which were previously watching the stars shifted their focus to stare at Caleâs face.
âI love you. I love you so much. I love you more than life.â
That made the crown prince stop in his tracks. For a moment he remembers Raonâs complaints about how they seem to say âI love youâ to each other without it meaning anything. For a moment he doubted if it was a confession.
Of course that didnât stop him from recording the whole thing.
âI love you too. Iâve loved you this entire time. Iâll love you even after death.â
At Caleâs reciprocity, Alberu finally moved to give the privacy. He may want to see the two of them get together, but he does not want to see them kiss. A confession was enough to satisfy him.
But the irritation he feels from waiting for them to confess did not go away.
Hence why instead of going home he first went to his instructor, Choi Han.
Alberu Crossman did not say to the swordmaster. He only hands him a piece of paper before going back to his palace.
In that paper wrote:
The two idiots are finally together. I have a recording if anyone is interested. Iâll show it in exchange for a recording of you lightly smacking my lovely dongsaeng head upside-down. Iâm sure my instructor will understand where Iâm coming from.
Choi Han does. He greatly understands where his student was coming from.
Thatâs why, the next morning he was setting up a hidden recording device with a smile on his face.
Oh, he also got everyoneâs permission before he set it up. In fact, most of them cheered at the thought of him physically knocking some sense in their young masterâs head.Â

Thanks for reading.đ«đ«â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
The Kidnapped Wife
[Authors Note]: Look! I updated again! Not my main muse, but I finally got a good idea for this one. Hope you all like this one! This request in back from June. PS. As you can see I don't have my iconic title. that's because of the limit in characters you can have per post. I hate it :D.
đđđđ đČđđđđ: 1084
»»âșGetting kidnapped is something that would definitely happen to us, because, you knowâŠweâre the wife of the most powerful man in existence.
»»âșHow did we get kidnapped? Oh, I donât knowâŠmaybe it was because of the temptation of FOOD?
»»âșSeriously, out of all the things they could have bribed you with, it had to be food? So uncouth.
âŠ
âWhat do you mean [Name]âs been kidnapped?â
That was the first question Cale asked when he was informed his wife had been kidnapped.
Yes, you read correctly. You have been kidnapped.
And no, you did not take a nap. Youâre no kid. I mean that bad people abducted you to an unknown place, far away from any villageâhell, far away from any living soul.
âI received a letter from the letterâs boy under your name, Master Cale. When I grabbed it, I smelled the faint traces of poison coming from within it,â Ron explained.
Thereâs poison in thisâŠ?! Cale yelled in his mind, and let go of the paper instantly.
The butler smiled sinisterly, amused at Cale's actions of dropping the letter at the mention of poison. âSo, to secure your wellbeing, I decided to open it and see if it was life threatening. But you neednât worry, Master Cale. The letter only had a small amount of poison in it. It would only take effect if you were to hold it for a longer period of time.â
Bullsh-t. You knew it had poison, and didnât bother warning me about it, you creepy old man.
âRight⊠Well, thank you for taking my health and well-being into consideration, Ron.â
âYou are very welcomed, young master.â Bastard.
Cale turned his body to look outside the window. âAnything else regarding her?â
âUnfortunately, these foxes were more cunning than this old fool could have anticipated. They left no trace of their presence behind for us to possibly find.â
â...â Cale looked out where the children were playing, unaware of their âmotherâsâ disappearance. âCall for Rosalyn and Raon. We need their magic for this, alsoâŠâ he looked back at Ron, âget the crystal.â Ronâs smile widened. âWeâre calling the imperial family. This could very well be an attack on the kingdom.â
âŠ
Grunts and pants are the only sounds heard in a room turned upside-down from battling.
âYou B-tch!â a man yelled.
âYouâre calling me unpleasant?â The man went flying to the wall behind him at full speed. âMe?â
âAh!â Another goon charged at you from the opposite side. You blocked it by grabbing his hand, going underneath, you punched him in the stomach. âAgh..!â
âScreaming your attack is very ineffective. Weren't you lot professionals?â You saw a small glimpse of the shining of a gun's metal. With quick reflexes, you throw one of the limited pieces of furniture from the palace you had been held hostage and threw it at him, rendering him immobile. âCute try, but not good enough.â
You stood in the middle of the room full of bodies of men laying there in the ground either whining or crying out of pain. All this would have been avoided if they just decided to negotiate with you.
âPoor soulsâŠâ
âŠ
âHAHAHAHAHA!â static cackling came from a ball on a table. It belongs to none other than the crown prince.
Cale looked at the prince like he had lost his mind. â...Why are you laughing?â Alberu looked up and stared at him through the crystal ball. Cale did not like that.
âIsn't it obvious?â He smirked, âclearly I think all of this is hilarious.â
Well no sh-t. Caleâs expression began to sour.
âNow, now, master Cale. Donât look so distraught, [Name] is completely fine. In fact, I think sheâs doing better than even I could have imagined,â he picture you beating the crap out of the kidnappers, much to his pleasure.
âIs that soâŠâ Cale wanted to punch Alberu in the face. He just wanted to wipe that smirk off his mouth, even if it is a crime to do so.Â
âMaster Cale, if you would allow me?â Ron approached his master from the other side of the table.
âWhat is it, Ron?â Cale was as irked as he could be.
âI agree with the crowned prince,â Cale looked betrayed at Ronâs agreement on the situation. âMaster Cale, [Name] is a talented individual. Surely, you should put some trust in her abilities.
âIâm also in support of this, [Name]âs prowess is no joke. Sheâll make it home safe on her own,â Rosalyn commented.
âWhat the humans are saying is true,â Raon landed on Caleâs lap. âYou can trust the Great Raon Miruâs judgment!â
â...â Cale closed his eyes. With all of this faith in you, he canât ignore it.
âFine.â He glared at Alberu. âBut if she isnât here by sunset, I'm sending Choi Han and Raon to get her.â
âThatâs fine by me!â
With that, the call ended, and Alberu couldnât stop from giggling at Caleâs worriedness for you.
âAh⊠[Name], youâve gotten yourself a worrywart as a husband.â
âŠ
The sun had gone down a while ago, the birds went to rest, and the children had all gone to sleep on your shared bed. Yet, there was still no sign of you anywhere in sight.
Cale paced back and forth in the balcony, he did not enjoy worrying about someone's safety, much less yours.
âMaster Cale.â
âHuh? Oh...Choi Han. Has there been any news?â He looked down and shook his head slowly. âI see⊠Itâs getting late, you should head to sleep.â
âBut, master Cale, who willââ
âI will.â
â...â Choi Han wanted to protest, yet he remained silent. He knew better than to argue with a stubborn man. âYes, sirâŠâ He left Cale with himself.Â
Hearing a click from the door, Cale let out a frustrated sigh and scratched his head, annoyed at the situation at hand.
â...Where are you [Name]?â he whispered.
âI was gone for a day, and you missed me that much?â
â!â Cale twisted his body and faced the person that had spoken to him.
And it was none other than his lovely wife.
âHi, Bo,â You smiled sweetly. âHow are you?â
Cale sighted for what seemed like the 100th time this day. Only this time, it was out of relief. âIâm fineâŠâ he said with a small smile.
âIâm gladâŠâ You leaned and gave him a kiss on the check.
âOnly there..?â
âWell, yes. Iâm extremely hungry right now, and I want to eat,â with perfect timing, your stomach growled loudly.
â...â Caleâs eyebrow twitched at your response. He motioned his hand to look like a knife, and karate-chopped you in the head.
âOWââ
âIâll go get Beacrox to prepare something for you. Wait here,â opening the door, he pointed at you. âAnd donât. Move.â You giggled.
âEye, eye, captain.â
With an approving nod he left in search of your meal.

FROM EDEN.
-> Kim Dokja & Cale Henituse with a reincarnated! reader
saintspeaks;âI SLITHERED HERE FROM EDEN JUST TO SIT OUTSIDE YOUR DOORâ-Hozier. JAIDJSKADJ I LOVE THIS SONF OMFG. Also, the âyouâ in the Kim Dokja x reader only read twsa, but the âyouâ in the Cale x reader read tcf.
Kim Dokja
A reader of TWSA is all you were â well, one of the two committed readers. You werent supposed to read it, in fact, you stumbled apon it on a sad friday night. But when you met Kim Dokja, the lone reader, you realized why you were never supposed to touch that story.
Youâd only survived this far because you binge-read the chapters, and had your handy phone with a save file of the story!
You were living quite comfortably in the apocalypse, traveling alone because you couldnt commit to a group. You knew that the moment that danger came towards you and the group youâd abandon them, so traveling alone was the best option.
Until you were traveling in the underground subway and came across Yoo Junghyukâ the main character himself.
The only thing that happened between you two was a harsh glare met with ice-cold eyes in response.
The only thing that you were thinking was, âyou dont scare me, bitch.â
And he just stormed off.
You hadnt thought much of the encounterâin fact, you never wanted to meet him again. But, of course, fate just had to have you two cross paths again. But, this time he had a companion with him.
And lord, was he the most handsome man youâd ever seenâ even though you could barely make out his facial features.
But heâd never been in the novel. An he seemed just as surprised by your appearance too â because you didnât have a sponsor, and youâre too strong and seem too knowledgeable for an average person.
The idea of you being the other reader lingers in his mindâ but he quickly dismissed the thought as he kept walking past you, following Yoo Junghyuk.
Cale Henituse
You were a normal girl who reincarnated into a noble Lady from a small kingdom in the Western Continent. Since you reincarnated into such a small kingdom, you had no reason to change the story unless it came charging at you.
âŠand it did.
You visited Lady Amiru in the Ubarr territory.(bad idea number 1)
The moment you started talking to her about using a boat to sail at night, a wolf-looking guy came charging at you, screaming about smelling âstrongâ. Youâd never done any training or fighting, and only acted like how a normal noble lady should in these kinds of stories. But, you realized he wasnt looking at you, but behind you. And guess who was behind you?
Cale Henituseâwho was hiding behind a rock????
Youâd recently been reincarnated so you didnt know much, but what you did know was that some things had changed. One of those things? Cale Himself.
You avoided the Henituse house like the plagueâ if you got too close to Cale, youâd get tangled up in the story, and you couldnt have that. Excusing yourself the moment you saw the fiery red hair, you ran off of the sandy beach to the room lady Amiru let you use during your stay.
Cale was extremely confusedâwho the hell were you? why were you here? did you know about the ancient powers? Why did you need a boat?
He let out a deep sigh, wondering why he just keeps walking into troubleâhe could just feel you being another wall between him and his slacker life.

Hello haruhi! I'm new to your blog but I absolutely love your posts! My fav is the cale henituse fic "losing you" đ
Seeing as your requests are open I was thinking if I could request a pinning! cale x f!reader. I don't know how much info/detail I should put into this but I had something around the idea of him just realizing he's in love with the reader with her being his closest confidant and always taking care of him and making sure he's alright! Maybe something cute and fluffy? A dash of angst if you feel like it?
I hope you have a wonderful day/evening/night!đ€
Blossoms of the Heart
Cale Henituse x Reader
2.2k words / fluff
The plaza terror incident had left chaos in its wake, but amidst the panic, Cale found an unexpected ally. As the boomers threatened to wreak havoc, a mysterious figure, concealed in a hood, used magic to shield the three boomers from causing further damage. Raon, the magical being accompanying Cale, was quick to sense this assistance.
"Human, human, there's also someone casting another magic! It's a magic barrier!" Raon's words echoed in Cale's mind, stirring his curiosity and concern.
With the information from Raon, Cale's mind raced
Who?
As the boomers were finally safe, Cale found himself coughing up blood, a sight that alarmed those around him. Unfazed, he assured them he was fine, typical of his nonchalant attitude towards his own well-being. Raon continued to communicate with Cale, revealing the figure who had aided themâa person who wore a hood that concealed their identity.
Cale's gaze swept the crowd as Raon's words lingered in his mind. Then, he spotted a figure, shrouded in a hood. A powerful gust of wind suddenly blew, causing the hood to fall, revealing a person of surprising strength and beauty. Cale, who rarely cared about appearances, couldn't help but notice the figure's attractiveness â pale skin, silky hair â a beauty that stood out even in the midst of chaos.
Raon, too, sensed the identity of the helper. "Human, that's him! That's the one who helped us earlier," Raon exclaimed in Cale's mind.
However, the mysterious figure swiftly retreated, as if aware of Cale's gaze. The fleeting encounter left Cale intrigued, and he turned his attention back to Taylor and the others who were still in a state of panic.
In a silent exchange with Choi Han, Cale conveyed his intention for Choi Han to investigate the mysterious helper. As Choi Han left to follow the figure, Cale couldn't shake the feeling that the person knew something crucial about the situation
-------
Later, after Choi Han successfully caught up with you, Cale finally had the opportunity to speak with you. The conversation unfolded, revealing that you, too, were in a similar situationâa transmigrator who fell asleep while reading a novel and woke up in this bewildering world.
Your words struck a chord with Cale as you explained, "Would you believe me if I said that I know because I read it in a novel before waking up here?" The revelation resonated deeply with Cale, who had experienced a similar phenomenon himself.
The air between Cale and the reader crackled with the weight of their shared experiences. Cale, contemplating the newfound revelation of another transmigrator, felt a strange connection forming between them. The realization that Kim Rok Soo, the man inhabiting Cale's body in another world, might be experiencing the same disorienting journey struck Cale with an uncanny sense of solidarity.
Amidst the conversation, Cale couldn't help but be intrigued by the dreams each harbored. When he asked the reader about their aspirations, the answer echoed with a simple desire for a normal and peaceful life. Cale, usually a proponent of a slacker lifestyle, found himself drawn to the similarities in their dreams.
As the reader calmly expressed their wish for a tranquil existence, Cale's mind raced with thoughts. He saw an opportunity, a mutually beneficial arrangement that could aid them both in navigating the challenges of this new world. Cale proposed a deal, the terms of which would be set by him, and the reader, composed and sipping tea, listened intently.
"What kind of deal?" the reader inquired, setting down their tea with a focused gaze.
Cale, his face stoic, laid out the terms. "You will be by my side in any situation that includes the plot."
The reader, adjusting their hair, responded with a calm acceptance, but with a condition of their own. "The terms of the deal can be set by you. I want one thing."
Cale, intrigued, asked, "What do you want in exchange?"
The reader's answer was simple yet profound. "Money."
Cale agreed to the deal without hesitation, recognizing the reader's strength in using magic. "You will accompany me, and in return, you'll receive financial support."
Little did he know that the reader, while reading "Birth of a Hero," had also delved into another novelâ "The Trash of the Count's Family," featuring the main character, Cale Henituse. The reader kept this information to themselves,Â
The reader kept this information to herself, knowing that revealing it might stir unintended consequences. Cale, after all, had strong opinions about being a main character, and she wasn't ready to disrupt the narrative in such a fundamental way.
As the deal was solidified, the reader couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. While she had desired a normal and peaceful life, the impending wars and conflicts on the horizon threatened to shatter that dream. With a sigh, she accepted the reality that her life in this new world would be more chaotic than anticipated.
"Well, I guess my life will be more chaotic as usual,"
Months and years had passed since the peculiar alliance between Cale Henituse and the reader began. Over this time, the reader had seamlessly integrated into Cale's world, becoming an unwavering presence by his side, supporting him in his endeavors and contributing her strategic acumen to their shared plans. The initial transactional nature of their partnership had evolved into a genuine camaraderie.
Within the past month, the reader had not only proven herself as a reliable ally but had also formed close bonds with Choi Han, Lock, and especially Rosalyn. The shared affinity for magic had quickly united the reader and Rosalyn, leading to collaborative experiments and the exchange of ideas. Their friendship grew rapidly, becoming a testament to the connections forged in the midst of their shared adventures.
A remarkable development occurred in the reader's relationship with the childrenâHong, On, and Raon. At first, the trauma they carried made it difficult for them to approach the reader. However, displaying an understanding heart, the reader patiently broke through those barriers. Over time, she became a motherly figure to them, offering midnight snacks, gentle pets, and unwavering care. The children, once distant, now adored her, finding joy in just catching a glimpse of her figure.
While the reader's interactions with Cale were primarily bound by the terms of their agreement, a subtle undercurrent of something deeper began to flow. Cale, ever the pragmatic strategist, valued the reader for her calm demeanor and insightful contributions. As their alliance unfolded, he couldn't help but acknowledge the reliability and resourcefulness she brought to the table.
During moments of peril, when Cale overexerted his ancient power, the reader's concern for him was palpable. Despite knowing about the Vitality of the Heart that kept Cale safe, her worry was genuine, and Cale, in his own way, appreciated the sentiment.
Cale saw you as reliable ally you always calm and strategic mind when giving a plan or opinion to his plan and conaidering both of similar situation waking up to this world because of novel
interactions often revolved around shared goals and common enemies, where the reader's strategic mind proved invaluable to Cale's schemes. As plans unfolded and dangers loomed, Cale couldn't help but appreciate the reader's intellect and resourcefulness. Yet, amidst the chaos, the thought of a deeper connection lingered in the background, unnoticed by both parties.
Cale trust you.
As the months passed, a subtle transformation took hold of Cale Henituse, a man known for his nonchalant demeanor. Emotions, once foreign to him, began to bloom in the quiet corners of his heart. It was a strange yet exhilarating experience, one that he couldn't quite put into words. The presence of the reader seemed to be the catalyst, stirring a spectrum of feelings within him.
There were moments when Cale couldn't escape the fluttering sensation in his chest, especially when met with the warmth of your smile or the melodious notes of your laughter. The concern mirrored in your eyes during his darker hours resonated deeply with him. The reader, unbeknownst to themselves, had become more than just an ally; they were Cale's closest confidant, a pillar of support in the unpredictable landscape of his tumultuous life.
In the quieter moments, Cale found himself drawn to the reader's presence. There was an unspoken understanding, a connection that transcended the need for words. The reader possessed an innate ability to read him, to sense his unspoken thoughts and emotions. Their reassuring presence became a balm for his troubled soul.
Stolen glances became a regular occurrence, moments when Cale's gaze lingered a beat longer than usual, absorbing the details of your presence. The well-practiced facade of indifference crumbled during these stolen moments, revealing a softness that betrayed the depth of his emotions. Cale couldn't deny the warmth that enveloped him whenever you were around. It went beyond friendship, evolving into something deeper that he hadn't allowed himself to acknowledge until now.
Choi Han, Rosalyn, Ron, Raon, and the rest of the group began to notice the subtle changes in Cale's behavior. Choi Han, always observant, caught onto the small gestures first. Thoughtful gifts and considerate gestures, once foreign to Cale, became a silent expression of affection. Trinkets were discreetly slipped into the reader's possession, each one a carefully chosen token of his feelings.
Raon, Hong, and On, with their keen perception, also picked up on the shifts. They noticed the softening of Cale's eyes whenever the reader smiled, and the three little creatures couldn't help but share knowing glances amongst themselves.
The rest of the group observed the transformation in Cale's body language. Casual touches and lingering glances, the unconscious following of the reader's movements in a crowded room â all spoke volumes. Even Hans, the ever-discerning butler, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the newfound tenderness in Cale's interactions.
However, amidst all these observations and changes in Cale, the reader remained oblivious to the subtle transformation. The reader, focused on supporting Cale and navigating the challenges they faced, was unaware of the storm of emotions brewing in the young master's heart
Days later, Cale became aware of his feelings.
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden hue across the expansive field. Flowers of various colors swayed gently in the evening breeze, their petals catching the last rays of sunlight. Cale Henituse and the reader found themselves on the outskirts of a quaint meadow, a tranquil haven away from the chaos of their unpredictable world.
Amidst the blossoms, the reader stood, captivated by a particularly exquisite flower. Their eyes traced the delicate petals, and a soft smile played on their lips. Cale, a silent observer, leaned against a nearby tree, watching the scene unfold. The ethereal quality of the moment seemed to amplify the connection between them, as if the universe conspired to create a canvas for emotions to unfurl.
There was a tender intimacy in the way the reader's fingers delicately brushed against the petals, in the way their eyes reflected admiration for the beauty before them. It was a snapshot of serenity, a moment that seemed to freeze in time, capturing the essence of something deeper.
Cale's gaze lingered on the reader, and in that stillness, realization dawned upon him like the first light of dawn. The way his heart fluttered as he observed the reader, the warmth that spread through his chestâit was more than admiration. It was a profound acknowledgment that the person before him had become an irreplaceable part of his world.
The subtle breeze rustled the leaves, and as the reader turned to meet Cale's gaze, there was a moment of unspoken understanding. Their eyes held a shared secret, a connection that transcended words. Cale, usually adept at navigating the complexities of life, found himself at a loss for how to articulate the emotions swirling within him.
As the reader approached, a question lingering in their eyes, Cale hesitated. The vulnerability of the moment gripped him, and for the first time, he struggled to find the right words. Yet, the truth hung in the air, unspoken but palpable, like the fragrance of the flowers around them.
"You have a way with flowers," Cale finally spoke, his voice softer than usual. It was a diversion, a subtle acknowledgment of the beauty before them and the emotions that danced in the spaces between their words.
The reader, attuned to the shift in the atmosphere, smiled knowingly. "Nature has its own way of expressing beauty," they replied, their gaze meeting Cale's with a warmth that mirrored the setting sun.
Cale, known for his pragmatic approach to life, found himself grappling with newfound emotions that defied logic. The term "love" had always been an enigma to him, a concept best left to the poets and dreamers. Yet, here he was, standing in a meadow as the realization dawnedâthe person who had once been a strategic ally had become the linchpin of his world.
Love had taken root in his heart, a delicate bloom that unfolded in the quiet moments amidst nature's beauty. The stoic facade that had defined Cale for so long began to crack, revealing a vulnerability that mirrored the fragile petals surrounding them. As the sun dipped lower, casting a warm glow over the meadow, Cale's heart echoed with the unspoken truthâhe was in love.
"Hello Nacrise! Thank you for your request; I really appreciate it! I apologize for taking so long, as my mind was blank, and I couldn't fully think about the scenario I wanted. Thankfully, I've managed to finish it, and I hope you like it! if i have time i can make a part 2 of this!

This is my first time requesting someone so, how about cale having a fiancee who's inlove with him and he's so confused since he has a reputation of being a trash but his fiancee doesn't care about his reputation at all. Or like kim rok soo doesn't know cale has a fiancee so he got suprise when someone suddenly barge in his room after the plaza terror incident and is worried about him.
Listen I am sorry-
Rok Soo, now Cale, known as the 'Trash of the Count's Family,' bore the burden of a reputation he didn't quite hate. There were upsides to it - he didn't need to play much of a role, as the Cale Henituse from the book was an angry drunkard. However, amidst this confusing new life, he discovered some small details that seemed out of place for the thrash in the book he read, even if not much was really said about him. He had to remind himself that this is, no matter how confusingly, his reality. That he took his place in this body and now does not know where the rightful owner is.
One evening, after a tumultuous incident at the plaza, Kim Rok Soo(now in Cale's body as mentioned before) retired to his room, tired of the day's chaos. The kittens were somewhere else right now - probably with Hans, the bubbly doting butler. A knock echoed through the door. He was surprised - he already told staff that he was retiring for the night. Surely he would not be bothered because of something small..
Cale called out to whoever is behind the door and watched as it flew open, revealing.. Wait, just who is that?
It was.. not someone who Rok Soo even knew. Their eyes held concern, and as soon as their eyes looked at his form they, without hesitation, rushed into the room.
"Cale, you!-.." they fumed, voice filled with anger as he was turned and scanned thoroughly, presumably searching for any signs of injury on his frail body.Kim Rok Soo, perplexed by their sudden appearance, could only blink as he struggled to come up with something in response.
"..You.. idiot..." They continued, concern in the voice replacing the anger, the speed of it almost making one wonder of there truly was such emotion before.Kim Rok Soo's mind raced, trying to understand the situation. He had no memory of someone being described even closely to this person, no matter how much his mind raced with records. Nothing.
"I am... sorry?" he said quietly, feeling a pang of sudden worry for not knowing who this person is. They and Cale must've been close, if it isn't a gross misunderstanding that is, but.. how come they never were mentioned in the novel?
With time he would learn that you, simply, are Cales fiance, who was not mentioned and struggle to not let the fact that he is not the original Cale be known. That is, until he realizes he fell for you, too..

Yandere! Cale would look like:
Ver: Restraints | Sokubakugata | (æçžć)
Would whisper, "I love you" into your ears while secretly planning to lock you up in his bedroom- blindfolded, with black silken ribbons around your wrists and tied to his bed, helpless and waiting for him.
"I only need you and you alone. You are my everything." He would murmur softly into the quiet room, faint puffs of air the only real noise as you struggled to breathe.
"Don't you love me too?" And you nod, regardless of what your thoughts had been in the beginning- because the hours blended into days and days into weeks, and weeks into months.
You forget how long you had been there, sometimes let into gardens to feel the sunshine on your skin, but he was always next to you in case you tried to run away. How could you, when your legs always felt like liquid every time he brushed his fingers across your lower back?
His hand caresses your waist as he leans down to kiss your forehead, lips faintly pressing against your fluttering eyelids. He notices your knees slowly starting to buckle against his touch and he chuckles quietly before lifting you up into his arms. "Let's go home."
And home was with him. It was your home now too.
So it was good that you couldn't remember how you had come into his embrace all those months ago. Where your family was. How they had screamed your name as you were taken by his guards, tossed into his carriage like a sack.
How you banged on the windows, wailing for anyone to rescue you. How you had fallen to your knees in despair at the sight of blood splattering onto the glass, and how Cale had brushed your hair back from your forehead. How he tilted your chin up to peer into your deadened eyes and tears still streaming down your face.
"It's okay, I'll make sure you can always see them." And he kept that promise to you. A little too well perhaps. That garden you loved to make flower crowns in, had made little rings for the two of you as you hummed a silly tune aimlessly. The smell of roses was always overpowering, the blooms so gorgeous as they swayed under the sun's bright rays.
Little white bones poking out from underneath the soil never ruined the garden's picturesque beauty. As long as you could keep ignoring it.

Mors
Cale Henituse | Kim Rok Soo x Transported!Reader
A meeting with a transcendental being.
content warning: blood, cannibalism
Sitting on your haunches, you look at the withered flower inside the ripped heart in your palms. You recalled how your chest was a gaping hole, devoid of a heart as well. Your hands trembled as you cradled the heart, wrenched straight from the chest of a god.
It was still in your hands, bathed in blood and eerily similar to a humanâs. Similar to yours. If he was a god, why was he so identical to you? Why does he retain the human traits of his previous life after reaching godhood? Was it his way to be tied still to his roots? Was it his way to honor his previous life? Or was he doing this to be like the god you knew, wanting to be closer in image to the people that worshipped him, so they would feel closer to him?
You let out a small laugh at your questions. âGod works in mysterious ways, I suppose.â
The flower within, a dianthus, was withering. You remember how that god had opened his mouth and swallowed your heart full. Was there something in your heart that he needed? Could his replace yours
You stilled for a moment, realizing that you couldnât even hear your breathing. The withered flower inside his heart seemed to whisper to you, and you felt the temptation to open your mouth. Murmurs began to fill your senses, overwhelming you. The withering flower seemed to speak to you, promising a forgotten power, its decay a testament to the once-mighty deity's fall from grace.Â
You opened your mouth, your mind flashing to the memories of your struggles; the raw, visceral moment when you forcibly tore the heart out of the godâs chest. You felt pure rage then and now it lingered as a hollow echo. You felt⊠empty. That man had once been your father -- a bad one, and you had the satisfaction of beating him to the ground and killing his image.Â
What now?
With a deep breath, you lifted the heart to your mouth, the withered petals coated in blood touching your lips.Â
âWill you be able to carry that power?â
You snapped, looking up in shock. The space had turned dark and when you looked up, your eyes glimmered with the sight of the universe before you, surrounding you. You felt a pull, the silent summons that drew you towards it all. Where is all?
A force pulled you to look up, and you seem to be looking into the edge of the universe. There was something that bears no form and defied mortal comprehension, an unyielding force that transcended all understanding. Whatever it was, it was an ungraspable enigma, woven into the fabric of the universe. You felt a presence, its weight palpable and its depth seemed to be pressing against your soul. You feel heavy.
Overwhelmed, your breath catches in your throat and your eyes teared up. It was as if the universe had stilled and you held your breath at the weight of it all in a moment of profound reverence.
The God of Death was neither seen nor heard, but feltâan all-encompassing awareness that filled the space around a person, a shadow that danced at the edge of perception.Â
He was the very essence of the end, the silence that followed the final breath each dying person takes.Â
You realize how small you are, and how your erratic breathing compares to the calmness He embodied. You were a mere spark in His infinite expanse of time. You smiled through your tears. âYouâre here.â
His vastness tilted, and though He had no eyes, you felt its attention fixed on you. His voice was not a voice but a cacophony of sensations: waves crashing, a fire roaring, the soft crackle of ice breaking apart.
âI am,â He said to you. His voice seemed to ring in your ears, vibrating through your very bones, carrying with it the faint echoes of all the lives He had claimed as his.
âYouâre not like how I expected you to appear,â you murmured, gently lowering your hands as you looked up at the cosmos. He was everything and everywhere all around you at once.Â
âDo you expect me to appear like in your little books?â He asked, His tone amused and it disturbs you to know such a great being was capable of understanding you so intimately.Â
You nodded. âYes.â
The galaxies glimmered as He laughed and you watched it all, mesmerized. âYouâre⊠beautiful.â
This god was not like the one you knew. You knew what Death would look like through the novels, but your idea of an ethereal being that greets you in the afterlife never had a face. You imagined Him to have a figure of kindness cloaked in the despair of the end, a ferryman to guide your soul or a looming, austere angel wrapped in glowing robes. But He was none of that. He was not the gentle shepherd you knew nor was he an angel. There was no humanoid form for you to grasp, to hold for comfort at the end of your life.
He has no voice. He needed none. His presence filled the endless expanse of this space, towering like a mountain, shifting like stormy clouds of a night, the edges fraying into a blinding mix of light and shadows. His body -- can you even call it one? -- was composed of dark clouds, flashing as if a storm was brewing deep within. It swirled in front of you, like the beginning of a hurricane.Â
You recalled the cold waters, the tilting ship, and the piercing ache in your chest. The stinging pain of slamming and breaking the water surface before you lost your consciousness. âIs it my time? Is that why youâre here?â
He did not reply for a moment, and you felt the universe vibrate. The heart was lifted from your palms and floated in front of you.
âA God is dying,â He said. âThese petals were once radiant with celestial light. Because of you, now they are brittle and dark. His divinity is dying.â
âIs it a sin?â You asked him. âHave I sinned?â
âI am not one of your wrathful gods,â He said. âThere is no sin for a child who simply wants to live.â
âTake this heart,â He said. âEat it whole and consume the flower within. Youâll be able to come back to your family. They wait for you.â
You cupped your palms, and the heart slowly fell back to your hold. You look into the withered flower and then back to the universe. You felt the essence of Death, the profound stillness He was able to provide that calmed the storm in your head. You closed your eyes. âYou feel so⊠peaceful. Heavy, but peaceful.â
âBecause this is the edge of your existence,â He told you. However it sounded, it sounded so gentle. Forgiving. The universe warped again and an hourglass appeared, the sand being stardust. It was running out of it. This was your lifespan. âThere is no judgment that awaits you here. Nothing awaits you here.â
âWill I stay here if I choose not to consume this heart?â You asked.Â
The God of Death let out a sound similar to a surprised hum. âNo. This is not death. It will be painful and a glorious sight to see your death. You will feel the pain. At this moment, I am being merciful to you.â
You gulped. âI⊠I donât want that. Canât I die peacefully?
âNo,â He answered, quiet and still.
âWhy not?â You asked, feeling a lump form on your throat. Deep down, you crave for His approval, for His attention. You wanted comfort from the being that will take your soul, and youâd never admit it, but you were devastated. âIf I stay⊠You will be the one to take me. You take everything⊠At the very least, make it painless--â
The air stilled as He seemed to focus on you. âDo you think of me as a cruel god?â
âSo much,â you whispered. âYou take everything away and we all suffered from it.â
The dark clouds surround you and you feel the way they wrap around you close, forcing your chin up to face Death. âYou mistake necessity for cruelty. My followers think I must love or hate, guide or punish. But I am neither shepherd nor tyrant. I am the ending of things, as natural as the fall of night. I owe you nothing.â
The sheer indifference in His toneâor His essenceâshattered something inside you. You had hoped for solace, for answers, for meaning. Instead, you found yourself face to face with the vast, uncaring truth of mortality. You were a speck of dust in the presence of a cosmic storm. You must understand that you are nothing in front of these Gods.
âAll things must end. The cycle cannot hold without me. Your grief is yours to bear. It has never been mine.â
You sat in silence, the heavy truth within His words pressing down on you like the weight of the world. For a moment, you felt like screaming your heart out. This is unfair! I did my best to be a good person and I will die a painful death at the end!Â
This was callous -- the final moments of your life would be raw, scathing pain that youâll feel until you die. Death was easy to face, but dying was not something you wanted, much less in pain. Staring at the mass of dark clouds, the fire in your chest flickered and then immediately dimmed.
Whatever you do, it will be futile. Your rage will be futile, your pleas unheard. You are mortal.
You rose to your feet slowly, panting. The God of Death said nothing, watchingâor perhaps notâas you grasped for the heart.
The hourglass slowed.
âConsume the divinity,â He said. âConsume it and let it take you.â
You opened your mouth and lifted the heart to your lips. Your teeth sank onto the bloodied, lifeless flesh and a surge of a cold and ancient energy coursed through you. The taste was something you could never have tasted in your living days. It tasted of iron and stardust, horribly bitter with the remnants of a dying divinity. You gripped at the flesh with your teeth and ripped it away, swallowing the chunks whole and each swallow was a step further into the abyss, your soul intertwining with the fading essence of a dying god.
The withered dianthus crumbled in your mouth, its divine energy dissolving on your tongue and it left you with sorrow and tears.
You swallowed the final piece and your gaping chest began to close itself. Your chest burns with the dying embers of divinity that now reside in your soul. You sat there, looking up at the universe with your bloodied mouth, the weight of your action settling into your bones.Â
It was slow at first. A burn on your tongue, and then around your throat that had dared to consume such a sacred thing. You gasped, grasping at your throat and then your chest. You let out a pained wail as your chest seemed to have something slithering inside it, moving inside your flesh and skin and causing you to scream in pain.
âI-I canât--!â You stammered out through pained gasps. âI-I canât t-take it! Please!â
âBe calm,â Death whispered to you. âAccept your end. Iâm here to take you.â
You slumped to the ground, panting as you began to feel faint, the universe warping around you.Â
The inevitability of His embrace filled you with a strange, bittersweet peace, a release from the burdens of mortal toil. In the overwhelming quiet, you found a deep acceptance, a surrender to the inevitable cycle of existence. The God of Death, unseen and formless, held you in a silent embrace, a guardian of the boundary between life and the infinite unknown.
And in that sacred moment, where time and space dissolved into the eternal twilight, you understood the profound peace of surrender, the quiet grace of the end, as you were gently carried into the vastness beyond.
Ron sat in the ship, looking up at the starry skies as Archie swam back to the continent. The shipâs gentle motion cradled the two people who lay unconscious on its wooden floorboards, the soft creaking of its timbers mingling with the sounds of the whales swimming. His eyes, weathered by years of witnessing death, gazed upward. Ron could never think he would seek solace within stars, but here he was.
They always felt so cold to him. They were an ancient, eternal beauty, so indifferent to the troubles that Earth and its inhabitants faced. To think something like that was a small part of a vast existence and Ron felt conflicted about whether or not he should feel glad that his sorrows were so small within that existence. He came to the conclusion that he didnât care.
The night breeze, cool and salt-tinged, whispered through his silver hair, carrying with it the scent of the open sea. He inhaled deeply, drawing strength from the air, his weathered hand resting gently on your hand. Ohn was tucked under your chin, herself paranoid that in the middle of their way home, your pulse would stop beating and sheâd lose you again.
Rosalyn was sitting on her haunches, your head placed on her lap as she was nodding off.
Your skin was cool beneath their touch, a stark contrast to the warmth of their love, a love that burned with the fierce intensity of a dying star.
The ship moved steadily, its course unwavering, slicing through the dark waters toward their home. Each passing moment felt like an eternity, the minutes stretching out as if time itself were reluctant to move forward. The stars above shimmered with a light that seemed to pulse with ancient wisdom.Â
He turned his gaze from the stars to you, his heart aching with a deep, primal fear. One that he had not felt in a long time.
âStay with me,â he implored quietly as if he was praying to himself. The night seemed to hold its breath, the stars flickering in silent sympathy.
Ron paused when he saw something move under the coat he had laid on your front as a blanket. Ohnâs ears twitched and she looked up groggily, only to be met with the grotesque sight of your flesh seemingly moving and writhing underneath the coat.
As if possessed, your back arched violently and dozens of thorns burst off your gaping chest, sprouting like tendrils as it moved wildly around.
Choi Han immediately stood behind Caleâs unconscious body, his sword already out as he stared at your body with a guarded gaze. âW-what the--?â
Rosalyn immediately woke up, stepping away from you and watching as your body convulsed even though you were still unconscious. â[N-name]?!â
Your body convulsed wildly, the thorns growing longer as it seemed to be reaching for the skies. Choi Han looked at them all cautiously and turned to Rosalyn. âShould we cut it down?â
âWe donât know what it will do to her if we do,â Rosalyn said. âWe should try to contain her--â
Before Rosalyn could finish her sentence, the thorns slowly began to slow their convulsions and retract back to your gaping chest. Its thorns retracted and grew softer, taking the form of ordinary vines as it draped along your body similar to a tapestry, the prettiest hyacinths growing around you like the most beautiful blanket.
Rosalyn hesitantly touched the flowers, checking for any abnormalities to see if they posed any danger. Once she had confirmed that the flowers were safe, she went ahead to check your chest, trying to see if you were bleeding out from what had just happened. She separated the blankets of flowers to see your once gaping chest was now plugged with dozens of vines knotted together. They started from your flesh as if they were your veins, becoming more prominent as they reached your chest and became all knotted together to plug your wound.
âHow fascinating,â Rosalyn murmured, her eyes glimmering. She leaned forward, gently running her fingertips along the green vines, seeing how they faded from red as they came from your veins to green like a typical plant.
You were peaceful within your slumber, unaware of the chaos that you had created in the world of the conscious.Â
The world was hazy when Cale slowly opened his eyes, the soft glow of sunlight spilling into the room like liquid gold. The rays struck his pale face, painting him in ethereal light as the weight of sleep still clung to his limbs. The sound of the curtains being drawn filled the air, the faint rustle of fabric accompanying the light's advance. Cale winced, raising a trembling hand to shield his eyes from the brightness.
A low groan escaped his lips, barely audible, but enough to make Ron turn. The ever-composed butler approached swiftly, his steps as quiet as a shadow.Â
âYoung Master-nim,â Ronâs voice was calm, a steady anchor in the waking haze. âYouâre awakeâŠâ
Cale sat up slowly, every movement deliberate as though he was piecing himself back together. He barely had a moment to breathe before warmth crashed into him. Â
âHuummannnnn! Stupid, stupid human!â Â
Raonâs tear-filled cries filled the room as the dragon clung to him, his small body trembling with relief. Ohn and Hong quickly joined, their soft, furred forms pressing close to Cale, their cries mingling with Raonâs as they buried themselves against him. Their tears soaked into his clothes, their overwhelming relief a storm that engulfed him. Â
Cale blinked, disoriented, his hands instinctively reaching out to comfort them. He clumsily patted Raonâs head, his fingers trembling as they ruffled the dragonâs dark mane. Â
âHey now,â he murmured, his voice hoarse and weak. âIâm fine. Iâm here.â Â
His words did little to stem their tears, but they clung to him as though they feared he might vanish again. Raon sniffled loudly, his round eyes peering up at Cale with a mix of relief and scolding. Â
Ron stood nearby, watching the scene with quiet detachment, though a faint glimmer of something softer lingered in his eyes. âFive days,â he said at last, his voice cutting through the cacophony.Â
Cale glanced up at him, his own exhaustion still clinging to his features. âHow longâŠ?â Â
âItâs been five days since we rescued Miss [Name],â Ron replied. Â
Caleâs brow furrowed, his voice dipping into concern. âIs sheâ?â Â
Ronâs frown was subtle but heavy. He shook his head. âSheâs still unconscious. Weâve done all we can, called every advanced healer there is, but nothing seems to work.â Â
Hong pressed his small head to Caleâs stomach, his voice a whisper tinged with worry. âShe wouldnât wake up at all⊠Weâve tried so hardâŠâ Â
Caleâs hand moved to Ohn, gently stroking her soft fur. Her wide eyes shimmered with tears as she rested her head on his lap, her quiet sniffles breaking his heart. Â
âI missed youâŠâ she murmured, her voice fragile. Â
âI never left,â Cale muttered in reply, his hand lingering on her head as a frown tugged at his lips. Â
Ron, ever the vigilant butler, stepped forward, his sharp gaze raking over Caleâs form. âHow are you feeling, Young Master-nim? Any pain?â Â
âIâm fine,â Cale replied, though his voice lacked conviction. Â
Ronâs hands were quick, professional as they checked his injuries, his touch brushing lightly against the faint scar over Caleâs chestâthe spot where nature itself had torn into him. The wound was sealed now, but it carried the weight of the battle etched into his very being. Â
âI would call that impossible,â Ron muttered, his tone flat yet pointed. âBut considering itâs you, Young Master-nim, I will simply choose to believe you⊠and forbid you from overexerting yourself.â Â
Cale arched a brow, his lips quirking faintly. âSo you donât believe me.â Â
Ronâs mouth twitched in what might have been a smirk. âOh, I would never distrust your words,â he replied smoothly, his tone laced with faint sarcasm as he finished inspecting the scar. Â
âEverything looks good,â Ron concluded, stepping back. Â
Cale sighed, leaning back against the headboard. He glanced at Raon, Ohn, and Hong, their tear-streaked faces now calmer but still clinging to him like shadows. A faint smile played on his lips, though weariness hung heavy in his eyes. Â
âLooks like you all didnât miss me at all,â he murmured softly, his words betraying the comfort he found in their presence. Â
Raonâs tail flicked, his voice firm despite the lingering tremor. âStupid human. Of course we missed you! Donât say stupid things!â Â
Cale chuckled faintly, the sound low and hoarse, but genuine. âAlright, alright. I get it. Iâm not going anywhere.â Â
And though the room was still tinged with the weight of worry, for a brief moment, there was peace. It wasnât long before he had to wash up and get ready for breakfast, so he reluctantly got out of bed -- the first time he was voluntarily getting up early -- and walked to the en-suite bathroom attached to his bed chambers.
The warmth of the morning lingered as Cale stood at the washbasin, splashing water onto his face. The coolness jolted his senses awake, washing away the haze of sleep and the remnants of the days spent unconscious. His reflection in the mirror stared back at himâpale, with dark shadows beneath his eyes, a silent testament to his overuse of powers. Â
Behind him, the soft patter of paws and the faint swish of a tail broke the quiet. Raon, Ohn, and Hong hovered near the doorway, watching his every move as though afraid he might collapse again. Â
âAre you just going to stand there?â Cale asked, his tone light but teasing as he toweled off his face. Â
Raon puffed out his chest. âIâm supervising! A mighty dragon never leaves his human unattended after such a reckless stunt.â Â
Cale chuckled softly, his breath fogging the mirror for a moment. âAnd what about you two?â He glanced at Ohn and Hong, who stood quietly behind Raon. Â
Ohn shuffled her paws, her ears flicking nervously. âWeâre just⊠making sure youâre okay.â Â
Hong nodded, his tail swaying faintly. âYou scared us, you know.â Â
Cale sighed, running a hand through his hair before turning to face them. âIâm fine, see? Now, letâs go eat before Ron starts lecturing me about skipping meals.â Â
Raon trotted ahead, his wings fluttering slightly as he led the way to the dining area, while Ohn and Hong stayed close to Caleâs sides, their small forms a comforting presence. Â
The dining room was bathed in soft light, the table already set with a simple but hearty breakfast. Ron stood by, his ever-present smile as calm as the morning air. He stepped forward as soon as Cale sat down, pouring a cup of tea and placing it within armâs reach. Â
âYoung Master-nim, the tea will help replenish your energy. Please, enjoy the meal.â Â
Cale eyed the tea warily. âIf this is one of your concoctions, Iâll pass.â Â
Ronâs smile didnât falter. âIt is merely a blend to aid recovery. Nothing more.â Â
âHmm.â Cale picked up the cup but didnât drink just yet, focusing instead on the plate of food in front of him. Â
Raon was already settled beside him, his tail thumping against the chair as he reached for a piece of bread. âHuman, eat lots! You need to get your strength back.â Â
âIsnât that supposed to be my line?â Cale muttered as he took a bite, the warm flavors spreading across his tongue. Â
Ohn and Hong sat across from him, quietly nibbling on their own portions. Every so often, Ohn would glance up at Cale, her large eyes shimmering with a mixture of relief and lingering concern. Hong, meanwhile, focused on his food but kept sneaking looks at his brother and sister, as though ensuring they were also eating properly. Â
Ron moved silently around the room, refilling tea and occasionally adjusting a plate, his movements so seamless they barely registered. Â
âSo,â Cale began after a few bites, breaking the gentle rhythm of the meal. âWhatâs the plan for today?â Â
Ron paused briefly, his gaze meeting Caleâs. âToday, you rest, Young Master-nim.â Â
Cale raised an eyebrow. âI think Iâve rested enough.â Â
âYour body would disagree,â Ron replied smoothly. âAnd so would those who were left worrying over you.â His gaze flicked meaningfully toward the children. Â
Raon, mid-chew, nodded emphatically. âYou are resting, human. Donât even think about using that scary power again. I wonât let you!â Â
Hong chimed in, âWeâll make sure you donât.â Â
Cale let out a small sigh, leaning back in his chair. âFine, fine. Iâll rest. But I need to go see [Name] first.â
âOf course, Young Master-nim,â Ron replied immediately, nodding his head.
âWhoâs with her right now?â Cale asked, watching Raon happily stuff his mouth with another roll and Ohn and Hong share a quiet exchange.
âChoi Han,â Raon answered with a cheer, smiling widely. âHe said there was someone else like him now.â
Cale blinked. Right. Him, Rosalyn, and Cale himself practically walked down your memory lane after being connected by the powers within that island. Choi Han must be happy and even curious about you now that he knew you were someone from another world like he and Cale was.Â
He must be eager to talk with you.
âI see,â Cale murmured between bites. âIâll see her after breakfast.â
âIâll go too,â Hong said with a smile. âI want to see her too.â
âWe all do,â Cale replied softly, caressing Hongâs head.
For now, things were calm. And Cale would take that small mercy, even if he knew it wouldnât last. Your room constantly haunted his mind throughout the breakfast, but he didnât rush himself to it. He let himself rest for a moment with he children after breakfast before they all headed there together.
He figured that Choi Han must have left for breakfast when he got there, because the moment he entered your room, he saw Cage standing by your bed. He approached the woman slowly, seeing the anxious expression on her face. âMiss Cage. How are you?â
âCale-nim!â Cage greeted, her eyes widening. âHow are you? Is everything okay? I heard you woke up today but didnât think Iâd see you.â
âIâm fine,â Cale said, unconsciously placing his hand on top of his chest where his heart resides, feeling the bumps of the ugly scar there through his clothing. He looked down to where you were, seeing you lay on the bed, hair spread out on the crisp, white pillows. Your face was sunken and pale, your body hidden away by the neat sheets which proved that you hadnât moved at all ever since you were laid down there.Â
There was a dip on the foot of the bed, similar to the one he had on his where the kids would sleep. He silently wondered how many times the kids had stayed here with you instead of with him. He looked up, back to Cage. âI suppose youâre here to visit [Name]?â
Cage stared at him, her expression grim. âY-yes⊠I had a vision, of some sort.â
She glanced back at you. âI saw Miss [Name] and the God of Death. He took her.â
Caleâs heart felt like it missed a beat, his stomach suddenly aching from the anxiety. âWhat?â
âHe took her,â Cage repeated. âH-he gave her something and she took it and then she just⊠disappeared. She ended up with him.â
âIâm afraid youâre not being very clear,â Cale said with a frown. âEnded up with him?â
âSheâs with the God of Death now, Cale-nim,â Cage said. âSheâs dying.â
The dim light of the room cast long shadows, the steady rhythm of your breathing the only sound breaking the silence. Cale sat motionless, his elbow resting on the arm of the chair, his chin propped on his hand. Raon was curled up on his lap, his small body radiating warmth against Caleâs exhaustion. The dragonâs tail flicked occasionally, a restless movement betraying his otherwise calm demeanor. Â
Caleâs gaze remained fixed on your face, pale and serene, like a marble statue. The delicate rise and fall of your chest was both a comfort and a tormentâproof you were still here, yet unmoving, locked in some place Cale couldnât reach. Â
Cageâs words echoed in his mind, a haunting refrain: âSheâs with the God of Death now. Sheâs dying.â Â
It has been a full week since then. They tried to gather priests and even the Saint, but nothing seemed to help.
His hand absently moved to Raonâs head, stroking between the dragonâs small horns. Raon let out a soft hum, pressing closer to him.
âHuman,â the dragon murmured, his voice barely audible. âShe will wake up. I believe it.â Â
Cale didnât respond, his fingers halting for a moment before resuming their gentle rhythm. Raonâs faith was unshakable, but Cageâs vision gnawed at him, a dark weight pressing against his chest. Â
Ohn stirred slightly near your shoulder, her soft fur brushing against your skin as she stretched her small legs and resettled herself, her tiny breaths mingling with yours. On your stomach, Hong kneaded gently, his rhythmic purring a soothing backdrop to the heavy silence. Â
âCage said the God of Death took her,â Cale thought, his frown deepening. âWhat does that even mean?â
The God of Death was no stranger to himâa force that lingered on the edges of mortal comprehension, powerful and merciless. If you were truly in His hands, what could he possibly do? The thought of someone so close to him caught in the grasp of that enigmatic being churned his stomach. Â
âI canât just sit here,â he muttered, breaking the silence. Â
Raon lifted his head, blinking up at him. âThen what will you do, human? Youâre supposed to rest.â Â
Cale didnât answer immediately. His gaze lingered on your face, searching for any sign of life, any flicker of movement, but you remained still. His hand moved from Raonâs head to his chest, pressing against the scar there, as though willing himself to focus. Â
âIâll find a way,â he said finally, his voice quiet but firm. âThereâs always a way.â Â
Raonâs round eyes studied him, filled with worry but also trust. âThen Iâll help. Weâll all help. Ohn, Hong, and Iâweâll do whatever you need.â Â
Caleâs lips quirked into a faint, fleeting smile. âOf course you will.â Â
But even as he spoke, his mind raced. If the God of Death truly had you, he needed answersâand fast. Few beings in the world could meddle with something as enigmatic as the God of Death, but he wasnât about to let that stop him. He never did.
âHuman.â Raonâs voice was stronger this time, pulling Cale from his thoughts. âShe will wake up. Weâll make sure of it.â Â
Cale didnât respond immediately. Instead, he leaned back in the chair, his hand returning to Raonâs head. âYouâre right, Raon. She will.â Â
âWill you wait for her?â
Cale snapped his head up, heart lurching in his chest. The voice was cold, unyielding, and familiarâone heâd never thought he would hear so close again. His breath caught in his throat as his eyes locked onto the figure standing by the foot of your bed.
There He was, the God of Death.
His presence filled the room like a thick, oppressive fog. The air grew colder, and even Raon stirred on Caleâs lap, his small body suddenly rigid with unease. Cale didnât even notice, too consumed by the figure before him.Â
The God of Death stood as He always didâhumanoid in form, His features barely human, his tall, shadowed silhouette more an embodiment of the unknown than a mortal being. His face, though not quite like a personâs, was lined with a calm, otherworldly beauty, a mask of serene inevitability. His eyes were voids, endless and fathomless, where time and space seemed to converge, swirling like an endless abyss. Yet His gaze was not unkindâmerely detached. He was beyond any emotion Cale could comprehend.Â
Caleâs chest tightened, but he refused to flinch. He had met the God of Death before, had bargained with Him, but now? Now, with you lying so still and silent on the bed, now with the knowledge that He was planning to take something precious from him? The chill of His presence felt like it was crawling under Caleâs skin, settling into his bones.
"She is not dead," Cale said, his voice low, more a statement than a question. His fingers tightened around the arm of the chair, his pulse quickening despite himself. "So why are you here?"
The God of Death tilted His head slightly, the faintest movement, but it spoke volumes. His voice came again, like the wind itselfâa whisper that reverberated in the back of Caleâs mind.Â
"She is dying. Whether you accept it or not, the moment I took her, it was sealed."Â
Caleâs heart twisted painfully. He swallowed hard, trying to steady the tremor in his voice. "Sheâs not dying. I wonât let her. You canât take her from me."
The God of Deathâs gaze shifted from Cale to you, still and pale beneath the sheets. There was no pity in His expressionâjust an infinite calm, a certainty that made Cale feel small in comparison.Â
"She has already given herself to me. She will join me and others," He said, His words floating in the air like an inevitable conclusion. "There is no changing this. She will not wake on her own."
Caleâs chest constricted, and for a moment, the silence felt unbearable, but Caleâs focus never wavered from the God of Death.
"Is that it, then?" Caleâs voice cracked but he held His gaze. "Youâre here to tell me thereâs nothing I can do? That sheâs already gone?"
The God of Death did not respond right away. He simply regarded Cale with an almost imperceptible tilt of His head, as if studying him, contemplating the answer.
"Nothing you can do," He repeated slowly, each word wrapped in finality.Â
"But..." The God of Death paused, and for the first time, Cale felt an uneasy shift in the air, as if something far darker was behind those words. "Will you wait for her? Will you stand by her side as she fades from this world and into my domain?"
Caleâs hand clenched into a fist. He could feel the warmth of Raonâs scales against his skin, the steady thrum of his heart, and the weight of the room pressing in on him.Â
"Iâll wait," Cale said firmly, his voice quieter now but steady. "But I will not stop looking for a way. Iâll find a way to bring her back."
The God of Death was silent for a long moment, as though considering Caleâs defiance. His eyes, though hollow, seemed to glimmer for just an instantâan unreadable emotion flickering in the depths.Â
"Your persistence will not change what is inevitable. But..." His voice trailed off, the weight of His words hanging heavy in the air. "You may stand beside her if you so wish. But know thisâshe will never belong to you in the way you desire."Â
Caleâs eyes hardened. âShe belongs to no one but herself. And if she wakes... Iâll make sure of that."
The God of Death gave a slight, almost imperceptible nod, His presence pulling back just a fraction, but never quite leaving. He tilted His head again, the faintest trace of something almost like curiosity in His eyes.
âThen I will leave you to your vigil. But remember, Cale Henituseâshe cannot escape this.â
And with that, the God of Death faded, His figure dissolving like smoke, leaving Cale alone with the weight of the room and the heavy stillness of your slumber.Â
The cold remained, lingering in the air, but something inside Cale hardened. He would wait. He would stand beside you, and even if the God of Deathâs words held some truth, Cale would make sure you never felt alone.Â
He would not let you fade into the void without a fight.
Suddenly, Ohn and Hong sat up, their fur bristling and tails standing stiff in shock, their wide eyes fixated on you.Â
Caleâs heart skipped a beat as he watched the slight movement, the slow twitch of your fingers beneath the sheets, a faint flutter of your eyelids. For a moment, he wondered if he had imagined it, the hope stirring within him like a flicker of light in the darkness. But then you shifted again, your breath hitching as your chest rose just a little more sharply.
Raon leaped off Caleâs lap in an instant, his wings flaring as he shot toward your bedside.Â
"H-human?" Raonâs voice was a mixture of disbelief and hope, his small body quivering with excitement. "Is she...?"Â Â
Caleâs breath caught, and without thinking, he moved closer, his eyes never leaving your form as he knelt at the side of the bed. His hand hovered over your own, as if unsure whether to touch you or let you come back to him on your terms. The room seemed to hold its breath as the seconds stretched into eternity.
Then, a soft gaspâyour body stirred again, and for the first time, your eyes fluttered open. Not fully, but enough for a sliver of light to break through the veil that had enveloped you. The warmth in Caleâs chest was overwhelming, and he felt his hand tremble as he finally reached for yours, gently cupping it with his own.Â
â[Name]?" he whispered, his voice hoarse from the weight of his anxiety. "Can you hear me?"
For a moment, there was only the sound of your ragged breath, shallow but steady. Then, you blinked, slowly focusing on him, your eyes still clouded with confusion, but they were alive.Â
"âŠCale?" Your voice was weak, barely a whisper, but it was enough to make his heart soar. Â
Caleâs throat tightened, and for a moment, he didnât know if he should smile or cry. Instead, he simply squeezed your hand, his voice a soft murmur of relief. "Iâm here."Â
Ohn, who had been watching from the side of the bed, let out a relieved whine, nuzzling into your side. Hong, still curled on your stomach, tilted his head and purred softly, rubbing his face against yours in a quiet greeting. The children were no longer anxious, their soft breaths matching the rhythm of yours as they instinctively sought comfort in your revival.
Raon hovered just above the bed, wings flapping lightly in a tiny victory. "Told you, human! She will wake up!"
You blinked again, more clearly this time, and your gaze drifted over to the three of themâOhn, Hong, and Raonâbefore finally focusing on Cale. The confusion in your eyes slowly morphed into recognition, but there was something more in them tooâa mixture of gratitude and something deeper, something even Cale couldnât quite read.
"What⊠happened?" Your voice was still weak, barely more than a breath. "Why am IâŠ? I thoughtâŠ"Â
Caleâs heart twinged at the memory of Cageâs words. He fought to steady his voice, to keep his composure as he gently stroked your hand. âYouâve been unconscious for a while, but youâre awake now. Thatâs all that matters.âÂ
He hesitated for a moment, casting a glance toward the door as if expecting the God of Death to reappear. But there was nothingâonly the quiet hum of life in the room. Â
"Youâre safe now," Cale continued softly, bending down slightly to be closer to you. "You donât need to worry."Â Â
The air was thick with unsaid things, but right now, there was no need for explanations. No need to dwell on what had beenâonly on the fact that you were awake, breathing, here with him. Â
The children settled beside you, their presence a comforting weight on the bed, and Raon perched on the edge, eyes full of determination. "Iâll protect you, little [Name]! I wonât let anyone take you again!"Â Â
Cale couldnât help the small smile that tugged at the corner of his lips. He turned his attention back to you, watching you slowly blink in and out of focus as you tried to make sense of the world around you. He was patient, as patient as he could be in that moment, his hand never leaving yours. Â
"Rest," he whispered, his voice softer now. "Youâre safe. Youâre here."Â Â
And for the first time in days, Cale let out a breath he didnât realize he had been holding. You had come back, against all odds. And as long as you were here, he would find a way to keep you from ever slipping away again.
You looked up at him, gaze tender and apologetic as tears well up in the corner of your eyes. âIâm sorry⊠For leaving.â
âItâs okay,â Cale murmured. âYou were⊠blindsided.â
âI was an idiot,â you murmured with a soft sigh, closing your eyes as the tears slowly fell.
âSleep,â Cale murmured, hesitantly pressing his lips to your temple. âIâll be here. Weâre all here.â

I feel love and insanity for this version of Venion.
Beacrox grabbed your collar. He looked furious. If you remember things correctly, he just heard about the dragon's story a while ago so you understand his feelings.
"He told you to answer. Why did you buy something like that after 3 years?" "I was getting tired of looking at the hard metal... There was nothing in that cave but stone and metal..." Your tears are still flowing. It looks like they were crying a whole year's worth. Despite that, you were not shaking, nor were your eyes looked sad.
Contrarily, you looked like those creepy dolls with soulless eyes that cried in horror films.

Fanwork/fanart made by me, Chika. An illustration I made based on @weirdsht's Cliché story. It's a story where the original Venion Stan went poof and got replaced by you/reader. I cried for hours. Kudos to that anon, too. I will bark at you for suggesting that scenario if I ever see you. Please support the author, they're like, amazing. They write stories if you're interested :)
The lighting is so funny

CURSED CHILD
chapter two : the rumour.
summary : clopeh can't enter the henituse museum without finishing his book length prayer for his cale-nim.
â
ïč ( First name ) doesn't know if Clopeh Sekka has things for redheads. But there was a thing that she was sure of, Clopeh is a certified crazy bastard. He was worse than that dragon who commits arson and burns down a whole damn mountain while laughing like a madman. And what's the reason why he did that? Simple, because he was sleep deprived and the elementals won't let him have his peaceful sleep.
The girl deadpanned at the sight in front of her. Clopeh had promised that he would take her out to a museum today. So that's the main reason for the extravagant outfit that the staff of the orphanage prepared for her. But, before they could even enter this damn museum, Clopeh had his hands clasped as he recited a prayer.
Does.... He finally lost his mind? The little redhead crossed her small arms as she looked at Clopeh. Her hands were sweating to the fact that people were looking at them. While her lips unconsciously pouted. Fuck, her child's senses were screaming at her to throw a fit right here, right now to get this bastard's attention.
So, instead of doing that. She tugged the end of the cape of the knight who was escorting them. "Uh... Mister... Is sir Clopeh alright? He's been like that since earlier."
The knight sweatdropped at her question, he awkwardly scratched his cheeks and crouched down at ( first name )'s level. "Little miss, the young master is always like this when uh.. visiting this museum."
"Why?" The little girl innocently asked. "Because he is obseâ I mean, he idolizes the firstborn of the family who founded this museum."
( First name ) couldn't help but notice how forced the knight's expression was. He was practically praying to Angela, the God of War, the God of Death and whatever mythical creature that this kid would stop asking him about his liege's weird habits. Yeah, this is considered weirdâ but just remember that one time when he accidentally entered Clopeh's room and those concerning amount of pictures and drawings of the Young Master Henituse plastered on his liege's room. It was more than enough to traumatise his poor self.
' Maybe I should ask the Duke for a bonus.' he thought.
"Okay." ( First name ) simply said, as the knight's face brightened. "I'm going to look around, Mister! Please tell me when Sir Clopeh came back to reality!"
( First name ) waved her small hand at the knight as she started looking around the museum. Then, a certain painting caught her attention. She noticed how detailed the painting was. And how beautiful the man in the painting is. He was wearing a commander's uniform and had a small smile on his face.
"Pretty." Her reddish brown eyes shone as she looked at the painting. She was caught up in her small words where she was cursing the gods and goddesses for being unfair to her because she wasn't able to get the beauty of this red-haired man in this painting. She wasn't able to hear the murmurs of the people around her.
All of them were flabbergasted because of one thing. They've seen a peculiar sight of a small redhead that looks a lot like their Young master Silver Shield! What? And this kid was looking at Cale Henituse's portrait with those longing expression (when the truth is she was planning the whole event where she will be burning all temples of the God of Death and Angela, the Sun Goddess across the continent) does the young master has an illegitimate child that the people doesn't know of?!
As they started making their gossip inside their little brains. Clopeh's knight had already called for ( first name ) saying that Clopeh was looking for her and they should go to a restaurant nearby instead of staying here. Because Clopeh wasn't able to finish his one book-length prayer and he couldn't enter the Henituse Museum without finishing it.
"Okay." ( First name ) stoically said as she walked away from the painting. Not even aware that a certain orange-haired butler had seen her and now he was speechless and couldn't move from his spot.
Hans, that butler has his jaw dropped as he remembers the little girl that he saw earlier. Those lazy reddish brown eyes that can look down at you like you were some kind of dirty insect were very similar to his liege! That crimson hair! And those mannerisms!
Hans swallowed hard as he started hesitating whether he should tell it to Cale or the Duke himself. But then, decided that the Duke had the right to know about the existence of his granddaughter.
âïč„âââââââââââââââïč€â
Later that day, those rumours about Cale having an illegitimate child that he kept from the public's eyes had already spread to the Roan Kingdom and the other neighbouring kingdoms. Those rumours kept on getting more and more ridiculous.
And Cale Henituse, the person on the rumour was now laying inside his room on the Henituse estate while sleeping. Ah, slacker life, how sweet it is. He can sleep 15 hours straight now and can laze around after all of those shits that he got involved with. His lips then curved into a sweet smile as he opened his eyes. Only to find two pairs of cat eyes and a pair of dragon's blue eyes staring at him.
"What the fucâ"
Cale almost falls from his bed after seeing his children, On, Hong, and Raon staring at him. He was about to ask what was wrong when he noticed that everyone, by everyone I mean the Molans, Choi Han, Lock, Rosalyn, Mary, and Eruhabe was staring at him with those eerie smiles.
"What?!"
"Unlucky bastard, tsk, tsk." Eruhaben shook his head making Cale more confused. "Cale-nim." This time it was Choi Han who was looking at Cale with a hint of betrayal in his eyes.
What the heck is going on?
This time, Rosalyn chuckled as she spoke in amusement. "Have you heard the news, Young master Cale? The crown prince had fainted."
"What? Why?"
"Because he heard that his younger sworn brother has a secret child that looks a lot like him." Cale deadpanned, is that so? But then he realized something causing his eyes to widen. He is Alberu's only sworn brother! "Huh? What the fuck?!"
"So, be honest to us young master-nim." Ron spoke with his benign smile. "Young master-nim, are you hiding something from us~?"
Vicious people. Cale suddenly wanted to escape this hellish place. What the heck are they talking about?! What secret child?! What happened while he was asleep?!
Then, Hans barged into his room. "Mister Ron! The Duke has fainted!" Fuck it, let him sleep slack in peace!

âCale-nimâŠâ
Choi Han warns as he sees Cale abusing his ancient powers again. The man in question only sighed at the swordmaster.
âJust a little, I wonât faint.â
The redhead tried to argue but then Raon suddenly spoke in his mind.
âIâm telling [Name]! Sheâs just 10 steps away!â
âDonâtââ
Cale tried to say to the invisible dragon but the enemy attacked again.
âHow can I stop using my powers when these things keep coming!â
He was now frustrated. If he overuses his powers the children and Choi Han are going to tattle on him.
âCale-nim let me handle it. I donât think Miss [Name] will like it if you faint again.â
â...Fineâ
The commander relented, not wanting to see his vice commanderâs sad gaze if he fainted or coughed up blood.
Everything was progressing smoothly. Choi Han and Raon take vanguard in attacking the enemies while Cale stands in the rear. He occasionally provides support, just enough to conserve his powers.
âOh..? You havenât fainted yet nya?â
On spoke to Cale as she and Hong regrouped with them. The silver kitten looks genuinely surprised to see Cale still conscious and well.
âŠIt makes Cale wonder just how the children see him.
Sure his physical strength is nonexistent and he faints and coughs up blood sometimes. But still, heâs generally very healthy because of the crybaby.
âThis is surprising nya! I was ready to go tell [Name] that you feel unwell again nya.â
Hong agreed with his sisterâs sentiments. His paw touched Caleâs face to make sure he was really all right.
â...I know how to keep my word.â
It was true, he does. Well, at least tries to do so to the best of his abilities. The children averaging 8 years old merely hummed in approval. Probably thinking that something will happen to Cale later on.
But nothing will.
Cale already promised [Name] that heâll take better care of himself.
âCale, youâre aware that I worry about you right?â
[Name] spoke to him as they drank tea leisurely. They had just finished planning their next move. Everyone was away to make the necessary preparations.
âI do, even if you donât tell me the children will keep nagging.â
That made [Name] laugh. On, Hong, and Raon seem to always take her side, even in the instances sheâs not around.
âMaybe I rant to them about you too much.â
âHmmm, maybe youâre all just very close.â
Silence filled the air. However, both are content for they are basking in each otherâs presence. With how busy things are these days, they have learned to enjoy small tranquil moments like this.
âI promise Iâll try my very best to not get hurt next time.â
Cale spoke up as he finished the remaining drop of his tea. [Name] raised her brows at him.
âThat includes coughing up blood okay?â
âYes, I wonât cough up blood either.â
[Name] smiles and Cale could feel the surroundings become brighter even if it was in the middle of the night.Â
Then [Name] suddenly held out her hand. Pinky sticking up, asking Cale to link his pinky with her to seal the deal.Â
Cale scoffed at his vice commander as he complied with her wishes, finding the unnecessary gesture childish. However inwardly, he was happy. Even if he thinks it is childish, heâd still do it just to see that smile on her face brighten up even more.
Before Cale knew it all the enemies were taken care of and all five of them were on their way to regroup with [Name].Â
âCale-nim Iâm impressed.â
Choi Han gave the redhead a thumbs up. Cale did not dare ask what he meant, simply looking away as he used the Sound of Wind to get to [Name] faster.
The lighthearted mood changes once they get to the battlefield where their vice commander is. The scene was chaotic. Dead mana was spread everywhere and [Name] was alone defending one side. Her purification powers work overtime to make sure no one from their side will come into contact with the dead mana.
âRaon call Mary and the Dark Elvesââ
âKeugh!â
Cale stopped speaking as he heard [Name]. He turns to look at her, only to see blood dripping from her mouth.
His words might have stopped but his movements did not. Cale was still instinctively moving towards his vice commander.Â
Good thing that he was. For he was just in time to catch her from stumbling forward.
âYou punk! You told me to not cough blood only for you to do so yourself!â
The redheadâs words were harsh. Despite that, the circles he traced on [Name]âs waist as he supported her were tender. They provided the purificator comfort as she composed herself.
âIronic right? But the situation was unexpected. I didnât expect them to make to sacrifice 10 ships full of dead manaâŠâ
Cale pinched the bridge of his nose. He canât blame [Name], none of them expected the enemy to carry literal ships of dead mana.
From a distance, he could see the Dark Elves arriving. As they did he gently stirred [Name] away from the frontlines of the battlefield. Guiding her to stand on the sidelines, letting the Mary and the Dark Elves have a feast.
âAs your commander, Iâm sentencing you to house arrest for being injured without permission.â
The commander suddenly spoke as they watched the Dark Elves have fun. His arm never leaves [Name]âs back. Hands still tracing comforting circles as his eyes scan her body to see if sheâs hurt anywhere else.
âYou wouldnât dare!â
âOh, but I will.â
Safe to say that [Name] is not leaving the villa after this operation. Perhaps she wonât even manage to leave Caleâs room.

"How do you do that?"
"How do I do what?"
"How do you manage to make my heart flutter every second we're together?"
â Cale Henituse asked You while he stares into your eyes, wanting the answer to the flutter in his chest.

Protective When You're Ill
Cale Henituse x Reader
When you fall ill, Cale Henituse, the usually nonchalant and indifferent young master, surprises you with how much he actually cares. Despite his habitual laziness and penchant for avoiding anything troublesome, Cale can't help but be unusually attentive when it comes to your well-being.
Cale's initial reaction to finding out you're sick is a mix of concern and annoyanceâconcern because he genuinely cares for you, and annoyance because, well, this means more trouble. However, his expression remains calm and composed, the same blank look he's known for. Heâs not one to openly display his emotions, but there's a subtle shift in his demeanor, a slight tightening of his jaw, and a softening of his gaze that tells you heâs worried.
He might sigh, "This is so bothersome," but the way he immediately moves to make sure you're comfortable contradicts his words. He'd brush it off as a small inconvenience, but deep down, heâs already planning how to ensure you get better as quickly as possible.
Cale is surprisingly attentive when it comes to making sure you're comfortable. Despite his tendency to avoid effort, he finds himself bringing you water, adjusting your pillows, and making sure you're warm enough. He might grumble under his breath about how it's such a hassle, but every action is done with care.
He'll quietly instruct Ron to prepare light meals or teas that are good for recovery, choosing options that won't upset your stomach. Though he doesnât cook himselfâbecause why would he when he has servants?âheâll ensure that whatever is brought to you is of the highest quality.
"Cale, you donât have toâ" you start to say, but he cuts you off with a dismissive wave of his hand.
"Just stay still and rest. Donât make it worse by moving around unnecessarily," heâd say, his tone firm but with an underlying gentleness that he rarely shows to others.
While Cale isnât the type to hover, he makes sure youâre never alone when youâre sick. Heâll stay in the same room, maybe pretending to read a book or doze off in a chair beside your bed. His presence is comforting, a silent reassurance that heâs there if you need anything.
If youâre feeling particularly unwell, heâll pull a chair right next to your bed, sitting close enough that you could reach out and touch him if you needed to. Despite his usual reluctance to engage in anything physically strenuous, he wouldn't hesitate to hold your hand if it makes you feel better.
Heâll occasionally glance over at you, checking if youâre asleep or if you need anything, though heâll play it off if you catch him. "What? Just making sure youâre not dying," heâd quip, trying to lighten the mood.
Cale isnât one for grand gestures of affection, but his care for you shows in the small things. He might gently brush your hair out of your face when he thinks youâre asleep or pull the blanket up to your shoulders to keep you warm. These moments of tenderness are rare, reserved for when he thinks you wonât notice.
His words might be blunt and even a bit harsh at timesâ"Donât be stupid and push yourself too hard next time"âbut his actions speak of a deep care that he finds difficult to express directly. His way of showing he cares is through practicality and presence, rather than flowery words or overt displays of affection.
As you start to recover, Cale keeps a close eye on your progress. He doesnât trust you not to push yourself too hard too soon, so heâs quick to remind you to take it easy. If you so much as try to get out of bed too early, heâll be there with a stern look, telling you to lie back down.
"Donât even think about getting up until youâre fully recovered," heâd say, crossing his arms and blocking your way if necessary. Heâs surprisingly stubborn when it comes to making sure you donât relapse.
Once youâre finally back on your feet, heâll act like it was no big deal. Heâll brush off any thanks with a nonchalant wave of his hand, saying something like, "It wasnât that bad. Just donât get sick again. Itâs annoying."
But deep down, you know that his efforts were anything but âannoyingâ. Caleâs way of showing love may be understated, but itâs real, and itâs there in every small, thoughtful action he took to ensure you were comfortable and well on your way to recovery.

Headcanon: Cale Henituse Being Jealous
- Cale, known for his indifferent and nonchalant demeanor, rarely shows his emotions openly. However, when it comes to you, his significant other, he can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy from time to time.
- One of the triggers for Cale's jealousy is when he sees you getting along with others, especially if they happen to be charismatic or attractive. Despite knowing that he's being unreasonable, he can't help but imagine worst-case scenarios in his mind.
- His jealousy is subtle but noticeable to those who know him well. You might catch a fleeting glance in the direction of anyone getting too close to you or sharing a laugh with you. Cale, being the protector he is, can't help but feel possessive.
- It's not that he doubts your loyalty or commitment. Instead, it's an irrational fear of losing you, the one person who has managed to break through his carefully constructed walls.
- When someone flirts with you, Cale's first instinct is to stay composed. However, if it persists, you can see a subtle tension in his jaw, a sign that he's barely containing his irritation.
- Cale's jealousy often manifests as subtle actions, like a tightened jaw or a narrowed gaze. He might pretend to be indifferent, but his observant nature means he notices even the smallest interactions you have with others.
- His jealousy is more pronounced when it comes to people he perceives as a potential threat. If someone shows too much interest in you or seems to enjoy your company a bit too much, Cale's protective instincts kick in.
- He becomes more attentive when other people express interest in you, silently observing and analyzing the situation.
- Instead of confronting the situation directly, Cale tends to distance himself momentarily. He might become quieter or retreat into his thoughts, trying to understand and manage his emotions before reacting.
- Cale, being the meticulous planner he is, often finds himself devising subtle ways to subtly mark his territory. He might pull you into a quiet corner or find subtle ways to touch you, as if to remind everyone (and himself) that you're with him.Whether it's leaving a personal item of his with you or making sure to hold your hand a bit tighter in public, these small gestures are his way of asserting his presence.
- Despite his jealousy, Cale values open communication. If he recognizes that his jealousy is irrational, he will eventually share his feelings with you, albeit in a calm and collected manner. He believes in addressing issues head-on rather than letting them fester.
- Over time, as your relationship with Cale deepens, he learns to trust you more. While his jealousy doesn't vanish completely, he becomes better at managing it, understanding that you chose him for a reason.
In summary, Cale Henituse's jealousy is a nuanced aspect of his personality. It stems from a place of deep care and affection for you, and he navigates it with a mix of subtle actions and open communication, ultimately strengthening your bond.
