Everyone was gleefully making dumb shit with Mickey Mouse/Steamboat Willie to celebrate the public domain not even a month ago but now that Palworld is out everyone suddenly cares a lot about the fair use of designs from Pokémon as if Nintendo isn't the Disney of the video game world when it comes to litigiousness? Okay.

#it just seems like people are okay with things being 'ripped off' when its from something/someone they dont like #but are really up in arms when its from something they arbitrarily think is better #like. hey gang. i think the pokemon franchise is going to be okay even if this game did model directly off of specific mons.#and also i dont think that makes it any less of a viable creative product #tbskyen said it pretty well that the designs are really derivative and are just base level succeeding at reminding you of pokemon #but thats like. fine. this game isnt trying to be high art
