I don't really fw the bro side of mgs fandom because I value my mental health lol, but I also think that an unpleasant truth is that a lot of it is baked into the source material. I love metal gear, it has literally taken over my life this year, but I'm too old and jaded not to acknowledge that it isn't the best franchise for female characters, and the vast majority of them is designed to be sexualized with a straight male audience in mind. And yes, some male characters get sexualized in canon too (the Snakes especially), but I'm not going to pretend it's an even playing field, and that's a problem that stems directly from the games themselves I think. This said the bro side of fandom is always at the scene of the crime
