hi! Can I ask what you use to draw digitally? bc I kinda want to try it out once again but last time the technology was very different and I have very few ideas on what's best.

Hi! Pretty much since 2018 all my digital drawings have been made on a second gen ipad pro in Procreate! Prior to that I used a Wacom Bamboo tablet (a non-screen one) rotating between Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop and Paint Tool SAI as softwares, I didn’t really prefer one over the other... I never had a screen tablet (like i.e. a cintiq) before pivoting to the ipad so I can’t talk about the difference, all I can say is that the apple pencil is very comfortable, even more so if you invest in a matte screen protector. 

Coming from Photoshop and other softwares with a similar interface, Procreate has a bit of a learning curve because they tried to reinvent it from scratch as something that would make use of the touchscreen etc. so you kind of have to forget about what is supposed to be where. It is strictly a painting software so its editing capabilities are limited, but the brush engine is neat and the library ever expanding. It also has the considerable advantage of being a single purchase app and not a subscription based one. Sometimes I also use autodesk Sketchbook (which should be free) on the ipad but now that is an interface I can’t get used to. The built-in brushes are neat though!
