Gasleak year aside, I want to thank season 4 for giving us as much trobed content as it did. I mean, we got Jeff and Britta referring to them as boyfriends. We got Conventions of Space and Time. We got Basic Human Anatomy. We got the puppet episode and every post ever about it is just "yeah, Abed had a secret and he said he's in love with Troy". It showed that Britta and Troy didnt work as a couple and broke them up. We got "you were out there and you weren't looking for me?". It was trobeds season
#also I'll fully admit that i think s6 is worse than s4 so i dont even hate it as much#but i get that the episodes are still not that great#tbh i think a lot of the s4 episodes could've been good if they were just developed more and didnt have weird character moments#imo several episodes feel more like early drafts than finished episodes#anyway i doubt anyone needs my full review of s4 lmao#nbc community#troy barnes#abed nadir#trobed#community nbc

what a wild ride
ouchie ouchie ouchie
is he already out of Purgatory??
what the fuck is this??
Benny??
wait, isn't this the season where Sam has a dog?
it is!
Dean, you can't be this mad at him :( how was he supposed to know you were in Purgatory?
we finally got Squirrel!!! it's just been Moose for the longest time!
also I do remember this season?
"I think too much heart was always Castiel's problem" said only to Dean???? these bitches gay! good for them!
I love Amelia :( and tbh did the boys not agree to get on with normal lives if something happened to one of them? cause I could've sworn they did. and I know this was different cause Dean went to Purgatory, but how would Sam have known that?
is he hallucinating Cas??
so Cas sacrificed himself for Dean?
wait, isn't this the season where all the angels fall?
let's have a sleepover!!! I forgot about that line!
and now they're in the wannabe cartoon!
what did Naomi do to Cas????
Samadriel was tortured, Naomi. it's not like he revealed the tablet on purpose???
oh, Dean loves LARPing
AHHHH THE MEN OF LETTERS!!!!! I THOUGHT THAT WAS THIS SEASON!!!!
oh, and Abaddon?
wait, isn't that the episode Jensen actually fell asleep?
omg the bunker!!!!! fucking love the bunker
Dean's absolute pride of having his own room :')
forgot how very brutal the trails are
I forgot Naomi made Cas kill Dean so many times, what the hell
Cas beating the shit out of Dean and Crowley killing Meg in the same episode??? ouchie ouchie ouchie
I have missed Bobby :(((
"in the words of a good friend - bite me" so true, fucking love that line
oh, and we have found Cas
and the parents are fighting, actually
omg are they about to find the dungeon thingy?!
THEY ARE!!!!! idk why this makes me so happy?????
also Dean has been calling Sam Sammy a lot more this season?
Cas, you don't need to threaten a man over pie 🤭
so this is the season all the angels fall, I assumed I just had them mixed up
also The Scene where Dean barges in right before Sam finishes the last trail was part of that one edit from s1? I think? the one where we see them as children
chat, this isn't fun anymore :(
"don't you dare think that there is anything, past or present, that I would put in front of you" ouchieouchieouchieouchieouchie
and that's where it leaves off????? growling and barking. anyways!!! this was a wild fucking ride! I don't have words, but yaaaaaaaay another season down :( at what cost. at what freaking cost. I don't know what happens next season, but I am starting to remember them? like watching this season, I knew what happened to some extent, so I imagine it's gonna go like that until s11? I think that's where we stopped? I think I stopped the season we got Jack? not because of Jack, but I think that's where I stopped
s1, s2, s3, s4, s5, s6, s7, s8, s9, s10, s11, s12, s13, s14, s15
#first love Sam's hair in this season#second i have realized i have the same taste in women that Sam does 😔#maybe not jess#but fucking love ruby (probably more so Genevieve's but i did like the demon)#and then amelia???#i remembered her#i loved her#i still love her#so i guess me and Sam have the same taste in women?#yippee?#wait omg also Sarah??#love Sarah#okay yay!!#see you at the end of s9 :')#rambling menace#menace watches supernatural#supernatural#spn#destiel

waittt u didn’t like the new ep? why :o i thought it was pretty good tbh and the animation is super good this season
i think its like a culmination of lots of stuff i personally dont like. im not super good at talking about objectively good/bad stuff, so i'll just list the stuff i liked and didnt like (spoilerz)
i LIKED that morty was actually A Character in this episode. um also the intro where they were clutching onto previous leon and the second intro where r&m just fly through the title. ummm i guess i also liked when it cuts to morty talking to the writer guy because umm you expect them to be fighting or killing each othert but nope just talking and walking. idk was a bit silly 2 me. animation was also pretty neat i agree
but um i just don't like meta jokes. and well this is an entire episode of meta jokes. there's some fun gags here and there, but a lot of them just do noot stick the landing for me. the whole jesus previously-on gag felt like a waste of time, storylord's whole plotline annoyed me, i hated that writer character. i feel like the show wanted to make fun of self-obsessed writers but they just............... didn't do it super well at all. the writer doesnt come across as annoying in an "over-the-top intentionally self centered asshole" kinda way, he's annoying in a "i dont want to see this guy on the fucking screen" way. to me at least. and again, storylord is not a character i, or anyone else as far as im concerned, care about. and the ughghghh wedding and pregnancy stuff. brother why its just. okay in context i guess i can turn a blind eye but they're both moments that are just cringe. aside from the obvious uhhh Weirdness(?) they're just fucking cringy!!! i watch trhe scenes and im like ok. whats the point of that whats the Joke here. you're just doing weird shit for no reason. ugh idk. and just. the meta stuff doesn't feel well utilized. when r&m first put on those goggles we see a bunch of stuff labelled as different story devices (would be neat if the chekhov's gun thing would come back in a later episode(it won't)), and like that's neat in my opinion! the s4 storylord episode kinda did the "deconstructing story points/story circle" thing, but i feel like this episode could have also benefited from ummm i guess Story references? like the part where rick says "no if he went that way he'd be a hero" or wtv. ugh idk. im not good at thoughts 2 words but just wasn't crazy about this episode. just didn't do it for me. OH ALSO. i wouldve liked.... if the "previously on rick and morty" gimmick had been longer than the cold open. i feel like it happens soo fast like bro... chillax.... i feel like setting up the "something's off" thing could've been like a good few minutes. EDIT: I ALSO HATED RICK HAVING ABS!!!! that man is skin and bones HE DOES NOT HAVE DEFINED MUSCLES!!!!!!!!!

I'm the anon that asked about Jenny and Eric originally, and I wanna say that I love everything you said!! I wanted to take a day or so to take it all in and read all the fics (and some of your other works--I'm excited to see what comes next in the Humphreys in Hudson series!)
I 100% agree that Jenny's a lesbian, but I don't think she knew over the course of the show. I think in her time reflecting in Hudson/London she asked herself where this obsession with Blair came from and the answer was a crush (and I bet her thing w/ Nate was comp het, his habit of saving her, and a little of her wanting to be Blair, bc when she met Nate the two were still together.) I think Eric was the first one she told but I don't think it was a big thing as much as they were talking and she (trying to hide how nervous she was) just kinda mentioned it and he picked up an what she was saying a showed support without being pushy, ya know (idk if that made sense)
I liked all the sad/more serious analysis. It's probably really interesting to look at their problems bc they seem like some of the most human throughout the series. There's only so much I can care about Blair's problems with her royal wedding without getting fed with her privilege, but these kids struggling with their mental health and sexualities is just so human. I wonder how their plotlines would've continued if they both stayed on the show. Saying the writers had a plan may be giving them too much credit, but her hubris was so clear that by the Waldorf sleepover episode I had thought that Jenny would either get pregnant or try to take her own life, and if it had been the latter the writers could've explored the parallel with where Eric was in the pilot (it's not like Dan and Jenny saw much of each other in season 3.)
One of the things I wonder about with them is when she told him about the kiss on the lips party. We know that he knew by season 4, but we never see them talk about it. He was pretty close with Chuck early on, did she tell him them? How did Eric talk about Chuck to Jenny (and vice versa) before he knew? Did he ever try to get the three of them to spend time together and she had to shut it down? I don't think this happened in canon, but it would be interesting to explore a scenario where Chuck's the one who told Eric about the party. Like, he feels and act on his guilt, but he's still taking the choice away from her.
I love what you said about them baking together. I like to think Jenny learned it from her mom, so she knows all the little tricks people use, but Eric has a slight case of Rich Kid Incompetence so she's like teaching him all these life skills (which is how I imagine they spent their time in college (idc if the show says he went to Sarah Lawrence he went to London with Jenny.)) I also think a lot of Jenny's sewing skills translate into other areas so she's probably actually the best at baking in the whole group.
I'm sorry this was so long but I have a lot of thoughts about these two
Hi!!! This has been in my inbox for a bit because I wanted to give you a long and thoughtful answer but tbh I ....don't know what to say, other than that I agree with all of this!!
I'm glad you liked the fics (that's very sweet!!). I feel like Jenny did know about being a lesbian but was in deep denial, but I get your headcanon and I think that makes sense for her character too, definitely. I like the idea of her telling Eric first! Coming out usually sucks but I think Jenny would be okay, coming out to Eric - like you said, it wouldn't be a big deal.
I'm glad Jenny left the show for Taylor Momsen's sake, but from a storytelling POV, yeah!!! I think it'd be so interesting if we had a spin-off show that's like. Jenny and Eric in their 20s, in London, being gay and having fun and being chaotic together. They'd share an apartment and it'd be cute slice of life kind of stuff!
I honestly think that Eric and Chuck's dynamic was, uh. Not a great choice on the part of the writers, and it feels weird to me personally analysing it because my only feeling is just "this doesn't make sense for Eric and I don't like it", if that makes sense. I always assumed Eric didn't know about the assault in the pilot, but then in s4, Eric brings it up, which???? incredibly terrible writing choice imo. You're telling me that your step brother assaulted your best friend and you idolised him despite knowing all along? If Eric didn't know, I kind of get his weird dynamic with Chuck. Ugh anyway.
Oh yeah hard agree about Jenny's sewing skills translating elsewhere!! I headcanon her to be great at maths (and specifically geometry) because she's good at patterns.
#anon#thank you for ur ask!! sorry i took so long to get to it#anti chuck#this may not be extremely coherent but im feeling slightly off so#this is the best i can do right now sghfjgllhlhkdh sorry about that

Maybe I just need to rewatch the series, but I was never really satisfied with the way She-Ra handled its redemption arcs. They definitely could've been worse, but I also felt like they were either rushed or even a little forced.
(Dont worry I need to rewatch the series too!) And be prepared cause this will be a long response 😅...
I wouldn't consider the redemptions forced, but I get it when you say that they feel a little rushed. And it's true they could have been worse... I think they did a reasonable work with what they had available, the written story was good but they did leave many gaps. However, let's remember that the number of episodes it's not something the creators get to choose but more of what the platform allows them. Yet with a well-written story you could make up for all of it.
These are some things I wish we could have had for the redemption arcs:
I wish we could have watched a more rebellious Hordak towards Horde Prime or to see him sabotaging him, maybe helping Entrapta and the others on Save the Cat (tbh Wrong Hordak was better than Hordak through all the season). Or at least watched him being held accountable for all the crimes he infringed, especially for starting a war, like a kind of epilogue.
I wish we could have seen more of Glimmer, she was a really really big part of the plot of S4, maybe watch her talking and making amends with Adora, with Bow (and more of their developing relationship) and with maybe all the princesses and for her to talk about her dad. I loved the parallels between Catra and her, and how they helped each other on Prime's ship, the way they were each others company and they just grew together. Tbh I would have preferred they made Ep 4 of S5 of only Glimmer apologizing and talking about Prime with Adora, Bow and Entrapta, (sorry for the star siblings but yeah).
And finally, I really liked Catra's redemption (would I have wished it was longer? Yes! Absolutely!). I liked her redemption because Catra (just like Adora) was a product of abuse from SW and the horde, she was just a kid, she grew up on an environment where everyone was hostile (they were in the middle of a war!) no one taught her how to manage her own emotions, bring her support, the only person she had next to her was Adora and to lose that kind of support could have arisen all the emotions she had pushed away, at once, going from anger, to hate, to vengeance and longing for approval. I think the last one is the most important, she craved for approval from SW and Hordak, she wanted to be recognized for her work, and though her actions aren't excusable of her abuse, you can't just change a person who's thoughts mostly consist of ”I'm not important and all I'm good for is at hurting people” in a day, even if you are one the most understanding and supportive of friends (I love you Scorpia). She suffered a lot, just imagine what she went through all seasons (idk if what Noelle tweeted was really true but to literally die 9 times is really traumatic). I loved seeing Catra apologizing to Adora and learning that what she was doing was wrong on her own, she chose the corridor of light. And that she found Melog who is like a support pet that helped her manage her emotions and was literally connected with her. But I wish we could have seen Catra and Adora between episodes 6 and 8 more (like the Don't go fic) and her making amends with Scorpia and maybe longer apology with Entrapta.
#I'm not going to even talk about SW because she didn't deserve a redemption arc#she ra#spop#my rants#spop asks
