Twitter rn is full of ppl criticising dean cas fans calling them fetishising and making everything about their fanon ship then proudly have “Wincest” in their bio like you really want to talk about fetishising?? The hypocrisy astounds me

gonna be honest with you, idk how these ppl can be all up on twitter fighting over fandom ships when there is a pandemic raging outside, when people are suffering left and right, and when the work being done for the black lives matter movement has never been more important

all i can say is i suggest these ppl get some perspective; i love spn and it means a lot to me in very profound ways, but it does not compare with the importance of real lives being at stake so to see ppl fighting over ships at this moment of time leaves me a little empty

#boredombabbles #ask #anon #listen i get it and i dont want to seem harsh #fandom has always been a safe space in some ways from the daily horror outside #for a long time i’ve held off from reblogging anything that wasnt spn on my blog #mainly things that upset me but things are so bad right now everywhere #im having a hard time caring about fandom battles when there are more important real life battles to be won #tbh i have been rewatching spn with my roommates during this time #and it has returned and resparked my love for spn again after a long time of feeling impatient and frustrated with this show #but like again despite all this #fighting over ships...u can choose to ignore those ppl #it doesnt matter what they say #what matters right now are things like the black lives matter moment #and the very real laws out there trying to suppress queer rights #and what we can do about them #so pick a battle that deserves your energy!#because deancas/wincest drama truly does not!
