I hate it when a I really like a character in something but their love interest is just AWFUL like either dull or mean or underdeveloped and it just makes me angry cause the entire time im just like you deserve better!!! Get some standards!!! Please!!!

#I think this is weirdly common in gay media cause straight people are determined to only have ONE gay main character #so like they introduce a love interest out of nowhere slap them with a generic personallity and suddenly youre supposed to love them #although tbf sometimes this is just me hating a character lol #i hate 90% of all 'cool edgy quiet' characters like zzzzzz #and i love 90% of the kind but dumb girls #'tries to be cool but is secretly a nerd which shows more over time' can stay but youre on thin ice #like i read citrus a few years ago (questionable i know) and honestly my main gripe was how utterly unlikeably mei is compaired to yuzu #like you have this emotionally open brave inherantly kind character head over heels with a cold emotionally stunted assalter and im????#honey you deserve better like PLEASE #plus the girl who was her best friend was like super cool and the whole time i was like you have #steak yet choose stale bread?????#still read the whole damn thing tho didnt i #tbf this is also a problem with straight media cause we all know media has a habit of setting amazing women up with mediocre men #this is how i end up shipping characters that barely interact purely cause one of them just DESERVES BETTER #i get so heated lmao but its only cause i care #rambles
