This is just me fangirling over JO1 writing a an essay about JO1 Star Gather episode 10 where YonaRen did prank 😱 all my thought will be below:

- this show is separated into “yonaren” and “the others” akadjfkdfj

- yonaren you guys have way too much fun at this.

- I truly can’t decide who deserve the “ooo... poor guys” the most. Like. Everytime the camera change to the others im like “godness yonaren you guys are too evil” but then remembering that yonaren is actually the one getting pranked eye feel bad for them but then i remember they kinda bring this up themself so rip everyone i guess.

- so after a fun two minutes of everyone vs Keigo and Sho write “performance” wrongly the prank segment finally start.

- honestly, there are cameras turned on. i doubt the members, lets say Ruki because he has the most brain there, are that stupid to not think that something definitely is up.

- the show just started and already can tell that something is “off” with the others and yonaren had live for one year with them.

- like seriously. who gonna buy “yona is going to korea three months for drama filming so he’ll missed jo1 activity”. Yonashiro oppa gone way too real.

- on top of that. these guys acting are SUCK aldjfdkfjdf.

- Keigo and Takumi didnt even try. akdjfdkf THESE TWO.

- taking shot everytime yonaren say “yasashii”. taking two shots everytime the others say “leader”.

- and also how these guys are too. quiet? adkfjdf. like usually they are full of question and like “ren-kun look!” “sho-kun listen!” lyke? no one even coming after the missing yonaren and just? suddenly talk about their feeling?

- okay to be fair that’s what will i do to as in talking behind yonaren back jakjfdf

- “guys there are cameras” AND THIS IS EVEN MORE EXPLAINING WHY NOT ANY OF YONAREN THOUGHT SOMETHING IS OFF.

- the others to yonaren: “ACTUALLY YOU GUYS ARE THE ONE GETTING PRANKED”

- if i am yonaren, after this im going to build special jail just for sato keigo.

- okay but the way yona flinched a bit when he thought sukai is losing it, probably ready to taking actions into his hand quite literally. but then the way he is about to cry, then melted into smile seeing the other seems to be so happy, and even more when ren started crying instead after its revealed that they are the one getting pranked. thats peak mama behaviour.

- yona, maybe: “YOU GUYS ARE MEANIE!!! LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID TO REN”

- i CANT THO. a combo of yonaren can kill both physically and verbally what are they BEING AFRAID OF?

- also these bunches of kids feeling way to safe when in front of them is yona who definitely can snap everyone in half without anyone feeling anything. feeling way too safe having sukai who definitely can break a bone alone, i see.

- okay tbf they also have ruki, junki, and mame so i guess.

- adfdfk the way junki dragged both sho and ren who clearly loosing ten years of their life into his hug.

- yonaren moment: yona hugging crying ren throughout this chaos lol

- sukai maybe: “why i dont feel happy here” yes please say that to keigo who clearly having way too much fun.

- i still cant decide who i feel bad to the most.

- the way the others quickly go into “sho kun listen!” “ren kun see this!” really say a lot that they were being way too off before kajdfdf

- finally. the show ended with ren still crying and yona who probably actually feel happy because he can experience being pranked by dearest members.

- okay thats such a roller coaster of emotion that even myself feel tired. happy jo1 and jam day everyone.

also i see now where killua got his hair and also his catboy tendencies. the zoldyck catboy genes seem to trace back to zoldyck dad, who has kinda scary cat eyes

also im guessing that the dad is the blood zoldyck and the mom is the one who married in. they sure seem to put a lot of emphasis on like, family legacy or w/e, but the two parents certainty go abt it in different ways

the whole convo b/w killua and his dad was wild, it totally didnt go where i was expecting it to. his dad was weirdly chill while also being super intense?

and his dad telling him ‘never betray your friends’ was rlly interesting...i wonder what his reasons were for saying that

i wonder if dad zoldyck made killua promise that bc he was trying to set killua up for failure - as in, he tells killua to never betray his friends, thinking that killua inevitably will & be distraught abt it, and then turn back to the zoldyck family when this happens. idk

also its interesting to me that zoldyck dad wants killua to lead the family someday. like, illumi is right there, hes the oldest and clearly dedicated to being an evil assassin, and he seems p good at it...i wonder why killua is the favorite....the grandpa (i think) did say that killua is Special(tm) which...yes he is a special baby boy i love him. i wanna see more zoldyck family flashbacks/interactions so we can see what led them to this point

oh lord that reminds me of illumi briefly appearing in the killua flashback and hes just like, suddenly there, wearing some gay ass sweater....like ok dude did you just come back from the Evil Assassin Library or st?????

that reminds me too, ruth tells me that apparently in the manga illumi and hisoka got married or something???? to which i say, thats fucking wild, but also it makes sense, those two are both horrible and disgusting and they absolutely deserve each other hbvajvhsdfjbak peak evil nasty gay rep, i love it. i cant wait to see whatever the fuck the context to that is bc, thats fucking wild

ok back to the plot so like its so wild to me how smoothly everything went hvubsjduhfbjsh like....killuas dad was rlly like ok u can leave and killua just went to the butler house and then canary woke up and was like ok gon & crew lets go to the butler house to see killua, fuck the rules, (and she didnt even get killed for ‘disobedience’ or w/e, or more likely - in most big shounen, she wouldve been attacked by the other evil butlers and gon wouldve had to fight them)

killua Rlly was like fuck this place im leaving my boyfriend and his parents are here to pick me up [puts on gayest outfit he owns and skateboards away] hvbhsjdfbjdkf

i love killuas weird gay preteen fashion so far and i cant wait to see more

anyways gon is a cute smart good boy and i also find it funny how killua eventually gets impatient and just busts in on this whole dramatic situation (and the tension immediately deescalates as a result lmao)

tangent but god its so funny seeing all these butler guys deferring to killua, an actual 12 yr old....i wanna see the hilarious and hijink-filled results of killua being raised as a rich spoiled assassin prince. thats a lethal combo thats gotta result in some wildly skewed perceptions on how things work, especially paired with gon ‘probably eats dirt for fun and sleeps in trees’ freecess

and like immediately killua is like ok gon do you have money. and of Course gon doesnt have money. so killua is like well you need money and you need to train so you can deck hisoka, so lets go to a fantasy version of an underground fighting ring! this is why kurapika and leorio needed to stay

tho they probably wouldve just gone along with it

they did all promise to meet in yorknew city, but thats apparently like 6 months away. are gon and killua rlly gonna spend 6 months at heavens arena

i doubt this is the last weve seen of the zoldyck family. i mean we havent even met 3 of them, and we barely saw the ones we did meet...idk when theyll come back but i suspect theyll be making some big money moves later on and fucking shit up somehow

i think maybe illumi or someone will like, spy on killua sometimes to keep track of him. or theyll track him by other means

ill use the prediction corner to reflect on incorrect predictions so heres a few. i rlly thot killua was gonna be more edgy than he is but hes rlly just a good boy huh. like hes a gay baby assassin catboy but hes so cute and good too. he just wants to live his life and hang out with his tiny bf like... omg :’)

also i thot hisoka held a totally different narrative role lbvahkfjhjjaksfl i thot he was like main villain guy....hes more like an annoying creepy clown dude who (probably) shows up a lot to bother the main cast. we’ll see, but thats what i think of him now

like i thought hisoka would be like p1 dio, where hed be/quickly become a powerful antagonist who would amass a bunch of followers/minions (when actually the only person he seems to hang out w/is illumi, and theyre more like equals than an evil guy/minion dynamic)...or like i thought hisoka would be very well known as a scary evil guy but nope he was just another participant in the hunter exam, albeit a weird freaky one whose rancid vibes everyone seemed to pick up on

anyways actual predictions, i think hisoka is gonna be at heavens arena, which would be super funny. gon is like im gonna train to beat hisoka and he shows up to do that and hisokas just there like >;) hey

i think if i had to guess, the zoldycks will show up again (in a plot important way) at the end of the yorknew arc/before the greed island arc. i know basically nothing abt any of the arcs but i do know the order they go in so theres that

i do think illumi will show up earlier than the other zoldycks tho, since he seems to be out doing his own thing more than the rest. also we still really havent resolved the whole mind control thing that im still convinced of

i think nen will finally be introduced/alluded to heavily in this arc...or like, characters will use nen and gon will be like whoa whats that

i think killua knows what nen is...maybe? it would make sense since im sure all the zoldycks can use it (at least, we saw mom zoldyck use it, probably)

can killua use nen already? that would be pretty funny. i dont think so tho. maybe u learn nen at a certain age. i have no idea what nen is

Dan Watches: Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones

Alright so I did this for Episode I which you can find here. So.. here’s my weird.. live reaction/note taking/whatever this is.. to Episode ll.

Alright so.. Once again the opening crawl is very politicy.

Count Dooku I think is mentioned for the first time in it and Padme becomes a Senator instead of a Queen in it.. which.. is weird.

The Naboo ships im not sure about.. I like the design but they seem too new and clean for being a prequel. That said they are owned by royalty so i can let it slide i guess.

mental health and these experiments at my uni

so, my uni has experiments for studies that you are supposed to take part in and tbf, I really like them. one the one hand, I like to schedule sth to fill up my day, take my thoughts of things, give me a little structure and something to feel accomplished about. also, a lot of these experiments are really interesting and I like to try out new things this way. we are supposed to collect 130 points or so in all of our bachelor and now, in the first half of the second semester I am basically already finished with it.

usually, since you have to pretty concentrated in an experiment, Id really focus on it and forget everything else for an hour or two. recently, that somehow changed.

there have been 2 incidents already, when I started feeling dissociated WHILE in an experiment and really had to pull myself back “into my body”. so far, I really have no idea where this feeling of dissociation comes from, if it is from stress or sth because really, in these situations I wasn't particularly stressed, just really trying to be focused.

now, while dissociation in those situations is certainly annoying, its really sth that I can kinda deal with it.

then, recently I was to two experiments that really required a lot of concentration, because they tracked your eye movements and you really need to be all in you to control where your eyes are going and be absolutely 100% concentrated. in the experiments, I really dont know why, but it just didnt work. I think it is because I needed to be so focused and couldnt be unconcentrated for one second, that it was even harder to concentrate.

in 2 instances, my thoughts just like.. overrolled me. suddenly, while I was supposed to focus on my eye movements and do some brain exercise, my thoughts just like ran away and out of my control. suddenly, I was contemplating my situation in my brain and one time, I suddenly thought about sth my fp said like a week ago or so and it was something that you could see negative, but so far I kinda managed to look more or less calm at it but then in that situation, in front of that eye tracker, I suddenly had all bad thoughts about it, like all the bad things, all these abandonment issues came all at once. I really tried to fight back, telling myself that I would think about that later, after the experiment ended, but it somehow didnt work. I tried really hard to focus on that experiment and somehow got my concentration at least partly back but I could tell that I was less focused and scored worse in the exercise.

then, this 2nd experiment had kinda been hard since the start. already at the first session, when I went there, I felt like I wasn't really fit for it or just generally bad at the exercise. 2nd session was equally bad and this 3rd session was when my thoughts completely ran off. each time I went there I was at most at 60% of my mental state and accordingly unconcentrated and exhausted. each time, I thought that next time I go there, I want to have slept enough and be in a better state mentally to actually be like completely at my whole capacity there. but I was always so low mentally.

so then, after the 3rd session, the experiment leader told me that we won't continue, cuz I like wasn't fit for that exercise and she gave me part of the points and also said some people are just not fit. I honestly dont mind this that much since the sessions there were a pain in the ass anyway and gave me headaches. and after all, I got some points there.

but I know, even though this exercise was difficult, I could've done it if I was more focused and more there mentally. I know myself, I know I can accomplish hard things when I really focus on it and give 100%. I could've done this. I know it. but every session, I was so low and felt like I was not really myself in that moment that I fucked it all up.

I really dont like this. I want to be my old self, that can force myself to concentrate, that can accomplish hard things, that is ambitious and self disciplined enough to actually do things. now I feel so fragile and so low and like just everything is so too much for me.

its kinda the same in class; sometimes I do manage to focus on only class for the whole 1.5 hrs but thats not the normal case. usually, I try really hard to focus, concentrate for a few minutes, zoom out then again into bad thoughts and contemplating my issues, force myself back to concentrate on class. that way, my notes are always inconsistent; a few pages I took all good notes, then its a few pages missing when I was thinking about other stuff, then note pages again and so on.

I am really trying but sometimes I feel like im legit unable to focus on class for the whole lesson. I just cant do it. my mind won't go along with it. after a while, it zooms out again.

and its like this in experiments as well. I really try but like sometimes trying is not enough when you rly should do sth and accomplish sth and not just try to.

also, there is studies where you just need to fill in like a questionnaire about a certain thing. and recently I felt like I wasn't really “fit” to participate in these studies. like these studies wanna find out correlations or trends in things for the average person, so for normal people, mentally healthy people. I cant fill out a questionnaire about stress without my anxiety influencing a lot of my answers. my mental illness just interferes with so many things in these studies and I feel like its not really me and its not really what these studies are searching for.

all these issues with experiments are not really that serious since im gonna be done with the experiments im obliged to do pretty soon anyways but

I think im just realising that like mental illness really impacts every part of your life.

It doesn't just come when your alone at home at night, its everywhere all the time. I cant run from it and now its creeping into places where I thought id be safe from it.

Funny thing about tea for me. I don't like hot tea. I definitely don't like iced tea. I'll tend to drop an ice cube into tea shortly before drinking it (it melts, admittedly diluting) to split the difference.

yeah the speed dating scene was pretty interesting. i really like in general how the face blindness is portrayed with the comical same faces. like something about that makes face blindness both understandable but subtly horrifying

1. We start with a general outline of what we want to see happen 2. eventually that goes down to what is really needed and my husband Sanders writes a 1st draft 3. I then read the draft and make changes-- rewrite scenes, take away, change dialog 4. we argue 5. and repeat till we are happy with it! 6. I start rough layouts/lettering/edit some more 7. (see step 4) 8. eventually everything falls into place and then we have a final edit pass 9. BOOM done.(edited)

The inspiration of the town is a mix of our experiences of small towns in Arizona and on the Navajo Rez. But also-- bc we like small towns

Still catching up: One thing I think really works with the comic is the balance between quiet, slow images and faster moving dialogue: I love when the comic slows down to linger on images. One part that I kinda liked for that reason was with Yazzie visiting Nathaniel's house and looking at the rug on the wall, the lingering look at the rug really slowed the scene in the best way. Also when Fink is wandering through empty Rocket Ridge. Such a good way to build tension, improve pacing, and draw attention to the art. So good

I went through several sketches with Fink. I knew he was tall, slender, and had a dog... much like Tin Tin and that's sorta why he looks cartoony in the beginning I think... but as the story evolved, again, I just kept pushing he design to reflect that. He is supposed to resemble a bird with his hair a bit. Sort of like a crest.

What do you think the history is between them? Does it have something to do with Logan, or is it just between them? What significance might Emma have further along? Another noteworthy character when it comes to drama is Nathaniel. Why is Nathaniel trying to obtain a gun? Is it just for protection, due to his angst, or is something else going on? Do you think this will get him in trouble with Joseph who is keen on watching him?
