The first half of I Am Your Beast is really good.

Stages 1-5? Yeah.

6-17? Now there’s Byron, now there’s more traps & weapons: now it’s even better than before.

18-27? This. This is incredible. Just a tour de force of game design. Ends on the highest note it can manage, voice cracking beautifully as it revels in every toy in its toolbox, all while paying off the narrative with some truly great moments.

This is to say, the second half of I Am Your Beast isn’t just really good, it’s phenomenal.

And I’ve still got a bunch of challenge levels to sink my teeth into! What more could anyone want from it.
