This is a thread for mems about my Baldurs gate 3 life, as my Tav.

So hi, I'm Tav.

This is what I looked like(10 minute doodle so not perfect)

I was a tiefling, though that's probably obvious. A lot of people have memories of other names as their Tav, but I was just Tav.

I was a Warlock with a pact with the Archfey.

I was a little short for a Tiefling, but nothing hugely anomalous.

I was trans, and had a fairly dark backstory unrelated to my gender, which was mostly kept a secret from the people in my life, not for fear of rejection, but just because my past didn't seem relevant to me to my future.

I won't go too into detail of my childhood trauma since that would upset me and likely others, but I had very strict parents who thought by being well studied I could break out of the mold made for tieflings, and make a name for myself. Other things happened between then and the events of Baldurs Gate 3 but it was mostly strict studies for me through and through. I had a tutor, and he was cruel. I'll leave it at that.

I'm only in act 1 of the game so far, but it's things seem about in line with how they went for me.

I was abducted, there was the whole grove bit, etc.

I tended to sympathise more with monsterous races than I did with men. Probably because of the treatment myself and other tieflings endured in my life.

I was madly in love with Astarion pretty early on in our courting, but kept it a well guarded secret, trying to paint myself as a fellow gremlin and friend more than a lover, but I think he knew. I don't remember much about how he came to be my proper lover but I know it did happen, and that it was a bit of a tumultuous ride at times.

Astarion was a big part of my memories, and I will probably be talking a lot about him as I think of things to add to this thread.

If you're an Astarion kinnie who wants to interact with me I'd love that, and if you think you might be my Astarion please don't hesitate to reach out as long as you're over 18 since I am in my late 20s.

I don't know how to explain it but meeting Zevlor as a Tiefling is 10x better than meeting him as any other race. The guy, my man is like this close to losing his shit at Aradin and then come I, the mighty Tav, and remind him to not go down to asshole's level and Zevlor is like "Forgive me, sister... I forgot myself"... I lost my sanity that day.

I'm not lying. That day I became like this:

It cured my depression, cleared my skin and watered my crops.

Just fyi, I'm an altoholic - someone addicted to creating new and new characters xD. So I'm currently using bg3 as a character creation simulator. But I think I've stumbled upon one I'll actually play with...

If she seems familiar - and I hope so - you're right! The head preset is named 'Aneela', which is one of the characters Hannah John-Kamen played in Killjoys ♥ It's my favorite show and she's my favorite part of it and I absolutely don't have a huge crush on her xD

So this nymph-y druid lady is called Taveela, lol, because Tavutch doesn't feel right xD. And unless I get distracted by a monogamist along the way, she's going to romance Halsin - because I miss him so much ♥

Stay tuned for a cheeky drow bad girl possibly on her way (if I find the time to actually play) to romance Minthy ;)

i want to talk about. uh. scents. this is very specific and very random.

gale smelt like lavender and saltwater and old books. also his clothes smelt weirdly Clean considering we spent most of our time in the fundamental wild.

halsin smelt like fresh earth and if you know that smell when it's just started raining after it hasn't for a while? i think it's called petrichor but he smelt like that too.

shadowheart generally smelt nice. i could never specify what. herbs maybe?

karlach smelt like charcoal and usually the lingering scent of whatever had been cooking recently. she liked to hang around gale when he was cooking.

lae'zel smelt like blood. not fresh blood, granted. but blood. heh. might have been because blood is very difficult to get out of fabric when you have nothing proper to clean with.

wyll smelt good. like bergamot. i know that that was my scent, but he shared it and it was Very Nice

tav smelt like the sea, for some odd reason.

I don’t think I’ve posted my own bg3 related things here, so here’s Rosalind, aka Rosie!

She’s my bard and currently one of my favorite OCs lol. She had barely experienced life out of her egg before tragedy struck and most of her crèche was slaughtered. Saved by Idalia, my half elf sorcerer, she raised her the best she could. She gave her a name and protected her. Rosie’s interest in folklore and music grew as she got older and soon enough, she left to begin training as a bard. She took a particular shine to the lyre and singing. Her sister helped nurture her interests and fully supported her becoming an entertainer. She’s an optimist and tries to be kind to everyone she meets, although she knows what to expect when most others see her. She isn’t the strongest fighter, and focuses more on aiding her allies. She and her sister, Idalia, had a falling out a few years before the events of bg3 took place when the half elf’s magic backfired and nearly burned Rosie alive. This tore a wedge between the sisters and left Idalia full of regret as her sister left to pursue life on her own after physically healing.

She has tried to read as much as she can on gith culture, and tried to blend in at first by acting as if she were raised her whole life in a crèche. She thought they’d leave her behind otherwise since she didn’t view herself to be as strong as the others and therefore easily left behind. Surprised to still find herself welcome after her failed attempt, she tries her hardest to support her friends and promises to save them all no matter what.

She’s currently closest to Shadowheart and Wyll, and Astarion likes her the least. I think she’s too selfless for his tastes, but that’s why I have Siobhán who I’m romancing him with (or Shadowheart with if, worst case scenario, he doesn’t care for her). I’m not quite sure who will be Rosie’s true love, so I’ll just have to wait and play more.

I wrote a ton about her in my notes and how interactions would go with different characters but I’m not putting all of that here 😭 but yeah there’s some rambling about my gith Tav
