bg3 live play au concept where tav is the DM and the companions are all the players

tav is a livestreamer and met them all through chat. got roped into DMing by lae'zel and shadowheart who both knew exactly what they wanted to play. they’ve been a DnD player before but this is their first time DMing, and the game pc is the comfort DMNPC, obviously.

lae'zel is a white collar worker and has read all the core DnD source material like 5 times. her collection of sourcebooks is awe-inspiring. she knows way too many spells and features by heart, despite always playing non-mage martial classes.

shadowheart is a freelance artist. she was an emo kid in high school. has 2 ferrets and a really big heart behind the introversion. has only played 5e and doesn't know the rules quite as well as lae'zel but gets sUPER into the roleplay and likes being the tank.

gale is like, somebody's cousin, maybe in IT, who heard there was gonna be a game and just kinda showed up at session 0. he's played dnd since 3rd edition and makes sure everyone knows how much he knows about the game. loves to remind everyone else of the proper mechanics but also try to bend the rules himself. not fond of being told no by the DM.

wyll just went through a bad breakup and was invited in an attempt to give him something to look forward to every week. has never really played seriously before and has no idea how to roleplay, so he really banks hard on the folk hero reputation he specified in his backstory.

astarion works in customer service and has a horrible sleep schedule but never misses a game. big dark souls fan, has played more vampires the masquerade than DnD. has troll accounts online for when he gets bored, but keeps things mostly harmless unless it's directed at people like elon musk.

then of course, halsin is somebody's dad who joined the game late and everybody has a crush on. he can only make it for sessions occasionally but the table’s always hype when he does.
