Marie Curie portrait… ••• Who is Marie Curie??? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Marie Curie, née Maria Salomea Skłodowska, (born November 7, 1867, Warsaw, Congress Kingdom of Poland, Russian Empire—died July 4, 1934, near Sallanches, France), Polish-born French physicist, famous for her work on radioactivity and twice a winner of the Nobel Prize. With Henri Becquerel and her husband, Pierre Curie, she was awarded the 1903 Nobel Prize for Physics. She was the sole winner of the 1911 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and she is the only woman to win the award in two different fields. Growing up, I didn’t watch Saturday morning cartoons. I watched Trials of Life & National Geographic. I’m VERY passionate about animals and animal education. I’m often accused of being a sea of random animal facts (just ask Liandra 😇). There’s a reason why I’m so passionate in my animal artwork and designs. As a child, I learned that when Disney made animal movies, they would thoroughly study those animals, their habitats, lifestyle, diet, and real life movement and characteristics. I too, study every animal I have ever drawn or did as a tattoo design. Animals are my muse, and are a HUGE “why” in my story of what shaped me to become an artist since childhood. These and many other deciding factors come into play when I am presented with a cover up request. This one was a CHALLENGE! BUT! I could just SEE what I wanted to do to recreate this tattoo with the same idea, but completely different direction. #tbt One of my first White tiger tattoos, and it’s still one of my favorites 😍 •• A lot of my clients love their big cat tattoos to have blue eyes, and I am happy to oblige! Why? Simple. It’s still considered “realistic”. ••• Most tigers have yellow eyes, but white tigers usually have blue eyes, due to the gene for blue eyes being linked to the gene for white fur. ••• Side note, not only am I an animal lover, but I have always been fascinated by animal genetics as well! ••• In fact, in 8th grade I received a plaque award of recognition from the board of veterinary science for my research in horse genetics. This photo shows my emotion of how COOOOOOLD it has been. 🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️ I LOVE Fall season, and it doesn’t seem to last long in Utah like it used to 😇😇 ••••• This polar bear with galaxy background was a new challenge for me in my photo realistic skills, and reminded me of the old soda commercials that showed polar bears drinking from bottles with aurora borealis in the background. ••• Those commercials were my inspiration in creating this piece believe it or not 😍😍 I loved creating this piece with bright colors, stars, and expression on the polar bear itself. •••• ••• •• • 2022 is on the rise, and I’m excited to add more large-scale, realistic animal designs to my portfolio! Lions. The King of Big Cats... Even though the Lion is the SECOND largest cat in the World... The Tiger holds the biggest cat on Earth title. Lions are fierce and majestic, but also misunderstood. Despite the fact that they’ve somehow become known as “The King of the Jungle,” they don’t even live in the jungle, but rather in the grasslands and savannah. Though they have no natural predators, lions are classified as vulnerable on the list of endangered species. In nature, the tiger is the top predator in its environment. ... Therefore, a tattoo can represent a free spirit or independence. Tigers are the largest cat species in the world and the third-largest carnivore on land--only polar and brown bears are larger. Tigers are the only cat species that are completely striped. They even have stripes on their skin. White tigers are not a separate subspecies nor are they albino. They are leucistic, the result of a recessive gene from each parent that affects pigmentation. White tigers typically have blue eyes. Wolves... They fascinate me. The are the largest member of the dog species.
