11, 17, & 28 for the OC questions? :D
11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”?
Briallen might be the closest to that description. She’s an optimist and a bit of an idealist too, and she has a vibrant personality. I also have an FFXIV character I named Tatsu Kaisuri who is young and happy and beautiful and somewhat innocent.
17. Any OC OTPs?I have several from FFXIV, the most important being my OC Solenne Lagarde and @roses-and-grimoires‘s OC Idristan Agache. For DA, I totally ship Emrys Trevelyan with @sarahs-castle-of-clouds‘s Evon Lavellan.28. Your most dangerous OC?
Oooh, that’s a tough one. I’m tempted to say Briallen. Among my DA OCs at least she is definitely the most dangerous. But I have to give the honors to Solenne from FFXIV, mostly because she doesn’t have Bri’s moral compass. Solenne has principles, but if pushed far enough, there is absolutely nothing she would not do to achieve her ends. Bri could never become the villain in her own story. Solenne could in a heartbeat.

(☉_☉) - Tatsu XD
Synn went straight to his room once he and everyone else had returned from the job they just finished. The job was simple enough for once, just get rid of a group of bandits. The company managed this without any of theirs getting wounded. Synn couldn’t help but feel prideful at that accomplishment regardless of how small it was.
Still it was work and everyone including himself wanted to wind down after a job. So each of them going to their own room for the time being was very likely.
Opening the door to his room he was instantly greeted by that blue pup full of energy: Aquilo. With a wry smile he knelt down to gently scratch the pups ears before he’d remove his armor. “Let me shower first.” He told the pup as each piece of his armor was removed and set aside for later.
With his pup following him he entered the part of his room where his bath/shower and bed where located. There he started to undress. Unlike that time in the clinic where he had to be wary of a broken dagger he had no wounds to speak of so his clothes came off quickly and without any fuss.Depositing his clothes unceremoniously on to his bed he would step into his bath and turn on the shower head for a quick rinse.
At the sound of his door opening he cut his shower short and reach for his towel to dry himself off. Expecting a particular blue miqo’te he opened the door leading into the main area of his room as he dried his hair with the towel. As he was drying his hair his view of his guest was obscured until he lowered the towel to dry the rest of his body.
What he saw was not the blue miqo’te that is his wife but instead that not so innocent Au ra right before him staring directly at his naked form. A yelp came from his lips as soon as that very fact registered in his head. “Tatsu?! The hells are you doing here!?” Sidestepping to the side he bumped into his desk and hid his lower body behind it. Doing so however deprived him of his towel which dropped to the floor in his panic. Meanwhile Aquilo looked on in what could only be seen as amusement. “Out, please.” He called to the Au ra with his ears becoming tinged in red.

So I went a little nuts creating all my characters with this avatar maker. Thank you @lavenderrpurr for posting about it! Some of the skin tones are off, and Tatsu’s horns point the wrong way, but I’m actually really surprised by how close I was able to get to the appearance of my characters in game. In a few cases, I was able to add things I wish I could in the game, like Noriyasu’s piercings (I haven’t introduced him yet - he’ll be making his RP debut with Stormblood, most likely).

Tatsu stopped to watch a couple of fashionable Lalafell dance today. She was a bit confused, but she liked their pet tentacle.

Holy butts Tatsu is like the most adorable au ra in existence xwx
OMG, thank you so much! I really need to do more with her, or at least take more screenshots of her. She’s definitely my happiest, least-traumatized character.

I’ve seen a few people post their favorite screenshots of 2016, so here are some of my personal faves from the past year. I made sure to include at least one shot of each of my current characters (and have come to the conclusion that Y’shinya needs some better screenshots!). Happy New Year and a lovely Heavensturn to all my followers!

The Historicity of Fables
"Tatsu," Thubyrgeim sighs, "what have I told you about taking Guild property out of the Guild?"
She approaches the wayward Au Ra, who is currently perched precariously upon the edge of a spiraling ramp of white stone, her bare legs swaying back and forth over the churning ocean below.
Tatsu lifts her head and slips a finger between the pages of her book to keep her place. "I'll put it back," she says earnestly in her light Doman accent. She flashes a warm, sweet smile, and tucks a few flyaway blonde hairs behind one of her horns. "I promise I will take the very best care of it." She holds the book close to her chest protectively. "It is too stuffy to read in the library, I think. The breeze clears my mind and improves my understanding."
Thubyrgeim takes a closer look at the volume that the young arcanist is clutching, and heaves a sigh. Far be it from her to condemn any of her students' efforts to expand their minds, but reading faerie tales masquerading as legitimate histories isn't likely to do anything for the whimsical young Tatsu. The little Raen is clever, Thubyrgeim has to give her that much credit. Her intuitive grasp of arcane geometry is unusual, but intuition can only get an arcanist so far. A thorough grasp of basic principles is absolutely necessary for an arcanist to ever move on to the most challenging spells, and that is where Tatsu fails to live up to her potential.
"You would do much better to read the book I gave you yesterday, and practice some of the techniques it describes," the Roegadyn says.
Tatsu smiles again. Always agreeable, that one. Always willing to nod and promise to 'do better,' only to be found stubbornly adhering to her old habits a few days later. "I read some last night, and I will read more this night, too," she says cheerfully. "But I like this one. It has pretty stories in it."
"You know that most of those stories are just fables, right?" Thubyrgeim asks her, taking another distasteful look at the book. She's not even sure why it's in their library at all. It has little enough to do with their discipline, and none of the legends it contains can be backed up with historical data.
The young Raen runs a finger down the book's spine, tilting her head forward as if to conceal her expression from Thubyrgeim's view. "Perhaps they are not fables, though. Perhaps you only think that because no one has tried to prove that they are true yet. This one is my favorite. It has clues, if you read the words right. I am pretty sure the whole story written as a puzzle, and you see?" She lifts her arm to reveal a set of coordinates written upon her scales in her tiny, precise handwriting for want of paper. "I believe I have cracked it. So you see, if there were very strong historians who could go where no others can--"
"--Then they'd be going on a wild dodo chase, most likely," Thubyrgeim says, having heard enough nonsense for one day. "I know that you have been taught to look for patterns everywhere, and I commend you for trying. But it is also important to guard against looking for patterns where there are none. Those coordinates, as you have written them, are located somewhere out in the Rhotano. I doubt they will be of much use to anyone."
She holds out her hand for the volume, and Tatsu reluctantly hands it over, opened to the page she had just been reading. Thubyrgeim looks at it and shakes her head. Tatsu had been reading one of the most fanciful stories in the whole book - a legend about a marvelous tome containing all the lost magical secrets of millenias past. A tome which, if one but opened it, would instantly fill one's mind with a store of wisdom that even the most gifted mage could not hope to master by ordinary means in a hundred lifetimes.
Trust Tatsu to look for a way to master all magicks without having to apply her mind to fundamentals. Thubyrgeim snaps the book shut. "You have a field test tomorrow, Tatsu. You should probably be preparing for that instead of reading this tripe."
The little Raen leaps to her feet. "I'll be ready," she says cheerfully enough. But as she walks away, she looks down at the numbers upon her arm with a perplexed frown, and Thubyrgeim guesses that, far from preparing for her test tomorrow, Tatsu will most likely spend all night checking her math instead.
Sighing once more, the acting guildmaster can only follow in her wake, tucking the ridiculous book under her arm. She's really going to have to ask K'rhid how it got into their library.

Name: Tatsu Kaisuri
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Race: Au Ra
Clan: Raen
Birthplace: An island off the coast of Doma
Current Residence: Limsa Lominsa
Relationship Status: Single
Orientation: Bisexual with a slight preference for men
Occupation: Fisher, arcanist
Likes: La Noscea, Limsa Lominsa, beaches, swimming, fishing, arcanism, social events of any kind, flirting, sweet and fruity alcoholic beverages
Dislikes: Cold or gloomy weather, being bored, being underestimated, the taste of alcohol when not masked by copious amounts of sugary fruit juice
Vices: N/A
Appearance: Ocean-green eyes with vivid green limbal rings, tanned skin, sandy blonde hair with sun-bleached highlights, very small and slender
Personality: Very laid-back and easy to get along with, can appear somewhat shallow at first but will then unexpectedly throw out some choice piece of sage wisdom, cleverer than her beach bunny appearance and happy-go-lucky attitude suggests, gifted in mathematics, formal logic, foreign languages, and various other academic subjects
Background: Tatsu was born and raised in a fishing village in the delta area south of Doma. She began showing signs of magical affinity at an early age, so she was taken under the wing of a Lominsan expat arcanist. From him, she learned not only the fundamentals of arcanism, but the Eorzean common tongue as well. Her childhood was a happy one, despite the Garlean presence in Othard.
It wasn’t until the Doman rebellion and subsequent Garlean backlash that her village’s way of life became threatened. When the uprising in the city drew Garlemald’s ire, Tatsu’s entire village opted to flee Othard and set sail for Eorzea. A new fishing village was subsequently founded on the La Noscean coastline, but Tatsu chose not to settle there with the rest of her family. Instead, she made her way to Limsa Lominsa to continue her study of arcanism.
