Reminder that when Tarjei and Henrik were getting ready to film S3 and were like getting to know each other, Henrik took Tarjei out on a "date". Like NRK gave them some money to go out and get to know each other. And Henrik took Tarjej out on dinner, Thai restaurant, and to the theatre.

SKAM

Can we all take a step back and think about how SKAM became what it is now? SKAM started as a small Norwegian show that became a global success. Because kids who had never felt like they were properly represented in the media had finally characters they could relate to. They tackled issues like mental health, religion and LGBTQ+ in a very honest way but never forget to show you that at the end of the day it’s going to be okay. OG SKAM was magical because sometimes the actors had pimples and sometimes their hair was greasy and sometimes their makeup just wasn’t perfect. It was magical because they talked like a normal teen would and they did all that stupid stuff that teens do. SKAM was never about making another American teen drama where 25 yo models play the lead. It was about showing how shit things can get and how they get better.

Season 3 was FINALLY the representation of two LGBTQA+ characters and their journey - and it felt like their story could have happened in real life. Tarjej and Henrik are both without a doubt good looking - whatever that means anyway - but not ONCE did they look like someone in a magazine or on a billboard. They were average Norwegian boys. Their relationship didn’t just happen but it was also never tragic. Even is pan and struggles with mental illness and it’s god damn relevant. We don’t see LGBTQA+ relationships like that often. But we need to see them - so badly! So stop fetishising Isak‘s and Even’s characters. I know french Even is literally a model (and frankly they couldn’t have chosen a better guy!) but other Evens won’t. And maybe some Even’s will have a different storyline. And that’s okay because it means that they will give other minorities a voice. Season 3 isn’t your soft version of “straight men watching lesbian porn”. Stop fetishising gay couples. ALT ER LOVE. Take a step back and think about why you really watch SKAM.

Either way, I totally agree with you, it's pathetic to say such a thing. And reducing season 3 to a series of "cute gay moments"?? Seriously?? That's just plain ignorant, homophobic and not to mention a very harmful Thing to say! Tarjej was never a bad actor, he just became really good really fast!!

Remember when Henrik said one of his favorite memories of the entire 2016 was filming the hotel scene and posted a pic of he and Tarjej in their robes? I'll never be over that. Plus he went to support Tarjei's play. I heard Tarjei may have a new play so maybe he'll go again.

Agree on Tarjej's acting, it's mesmerizing. I have just rewatched ep 5, and in the locker room, the way his expression goes from hurt to worried to expectant, to happy, happens so subtly (because Isak keeps everything bottled up) and yet so clearly...well, it's simply fantastic. But Henrik is just as good. Even is more extrovert, plus not the POV, but in the locker room scene H. conveys all of the struggle behind his cool exterior. And the way he shifts through the bipolar stages is perfect.

I agree, I really really love that scene. They leave so much to be read off their faces and they both bring you through the emotions they’re feeling so well. Isak is a reserved character but it never feels like it to us because we always understand him just by watching Tarjei’s face.

CeeCee, hope you are well!! about ff and headcanons, ravenclawisak writes very well, very very well. But i mostly don't like ff and hc, because, like for the anon, they always feel wrong, off (yes, Even is often too extra for me, though ravenclawisak's Even feels the most right). but this doesn't give me any right to judge or belittle or order aroung writers!!! anon, do like me, don't read them! and trust Julie to write sthing that pleases us all, and Henrik and Tarjej to act it.Or write ur own!

but you’re right! it doesn’t! in fact, none of us have the right to do so, even if we are also writers. we should be supportive of everyone in this fandom, especially those who provide us with creative content. i can understand you not wanting to read fanfictions and the like, and that’s your prerogative. i accept that and i respect that. the same respect should be extended to the people who provide you with these things -- if you do enjoy reading them -- who take time out of their day, for free, to do so. 

no one is paying them. they don’t get anything from this. so it’s so important to remember we’re all doing this for our own enjoyment and maybe as our own coping mechanism. so no one has the final say in what someone should or shouldn’t enjoy, or how someone should or shouldn’t interpret certain characters. it’s very rude and very arrogant to assume your word is the definitive one. 

no one has the right to tell you how to write, no one has the right to tell you to stop writing, and no one has the right to make you feel worth any less than you are.

hello i am back something that i was laughing at earlier is it’s so funny that tarjei is out here saying how fun and interesting this movie is gonna be bc some of y’all really thought he was being held gunpoint doing this movie w/ the whole “LOOK HOW FAST HE MOVED AWAY FROM HER!!! L O L” like that was embarrassing. it’s a fucking movie tho. no one is forcing anyone to watch. i find it so fucking sad that the actors/director in that article were like “the social media backlash is :/” and the main actress being like i can’t go on instagram bc of y’all ugly asses. i feel so bad for tarjei when he’s gonna have this rep of having an ugly fanbase. also ppl really thinking he thought he was too good to play isak pls give me a break. he was literally saying i know im good enough to be known as Tarjei(TM) not “that kid who played the gay guy in skam”
