I would like to know more about your wip “catastrophe”! 👀

Catastrophe is my super angsty Paul x Peter fanfiction that chronicles the inner struggles Peter faces when re-joining KISS on the Reunion Tour.

I'm still playing with the direction of chapter 4 but here is a sneak peak snippet:

"That's not why I'm here, Peter."

And then our lips meet.

I have no idea who started it, just that now his arms are cradling me, and my shaky hand has reached out to stroke his cheek. I close my eyes and our lips start moving, real slow. He's so soft and strong and warm! I can't feel the rain anymore. Can't feel the cold, or the blood.

All I can feel is him...and us...together.

"We need each other..."

And I'm trembling against him as the kiss grows more passionate and desperate.

"Don't you dare leave me ever again," he mumbles against my lips.

"Paul...I...I don't want to."

2. What's your favorite Canon thing about this character?

I love that Bruce loves to make pancakes! XD

3. Least favorite Canon thing about this character?

While Bruce is a total sweetheart and we all love him for it, I do think he's a bit too nice at times and allows people to take advantage of him.

9. Could you be roommates with this character?

Absolutely! Bruce seems like he would be the most considerate and chill roomie ever.

14. Assign a fashion aesethic?

I think the Revenge era look really suited Bruce. When I write him, I always envision him wearing that leather jacket, pants and leather boots. Rawr.

We're both very sensitive people and not afraid to stand our ground against senseless bullies!

15 - what's your favorite ship for this character?

I'm a sucker for Stardemon. I really love the whole "I'm in love with my best friend/business partner trope."

16 - what's your least favorite ship for this character?

I'd say it's a cross between Paul x Bruce and Paul x Eric Singer. I just see Paul as Bros with these two.

21 - if you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

I love trying to get inside Paul’s psyche and ask myself "How would Paul react to this?" Or "What would Paul Stanley do?" My least favorite thing is trying to keep the character as Canon as possible. Lol.

I thought he was very adorable when I first saw him. Ace was actually my favorite KISS member first then once I got really involved in the KISS fandom I started falling more and more for The Starchild. As for now, Paul is still my favorite KISS member and the sexiest rockstar alive!

For number 3 - It changes with my mood, but I'm one of the oddballs in this fandom who adores 80s KISS, so...Crazy Nights is my jam. Special shout out to Destroyer (My favorite 70s album) and Carnival of Souls (My favorite 90s album).

1. Share a song that makes you think of (fic title)?

The only one that comes to mind is "Lay Down the Bet" which is a lyric used from Love Gun.

2. Do you read/reread your own fics?

Yes.

5. What's a fic idea you've had that you will never write?

A few years back I had a draft for a crime drama KISS fanfiction. Vinnie was framed for murder and only Eric Carr believed he was innocent. The story would've taken place during the Hot in Shade era and would focus on Vinnie and Eric working together to prove Vinnie’s innocence. It was going to be a dark and angsty fic. I scraped the project because it contained a lot of mature themes, and I was afraid it would have been too disturbing for some readers.

14. If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium such as a comic or film, which fanfic would you pick?

I've been told that "Kruise Of the Living Dead" would make a great KISS comic.

21. Have you ever deleted an entire scene after spending hours laboring over it? If so, why?

Originally Mark St. John was going to be a K.I.S.S agent in Starstruck. I wrote this chapter early on when I had first gotten into KISS. After I read Peter Criss's biography and learned about what a horrible and disgusting human Mark was, I immediately logged onto AO3 and edited that chapter on the spot.

But I am so glad they are offering it on PPV. My biggest hope is maybe this will foreshadow a KISSOLOGY 4 release.

What you dislike about each member?

Worst album - Monster. It's my least listened to KISS album. "Hell or Hallelujah" is the only song I really dig off that album.

What i dislike about each member:

Paul - I hate how much he still begrudges Peter over the past. While I understand that Peter could be out of line, I just wish Paul would stop picking on him to the press and the fans.

Gene - I hate how greedy this man is! Like bro, your great-great-great-great grandchildren will never have to work a day in their lives! It's expensive to be a KISS fan.

Ace - I hate how wreckless and careless he was in KISS.

Peter - I hate how he allowed booze and drugs to destroy his career with KISS.

Tommy - I don't hate anything about him per say...I just wish he would show more of his personality. I hate how he portrays himself as a boring person.

Eric S - I really don't hate anything about him either. I think sometimes his hyperness can be a bit too much.

Vinnie - I hate how he's made so many empty promises to KISS fans over the years.

Bruce - i hate how shy he is! Bruce is one of the sweetest KISS members, but I feel like he constantly gets overlooked and discarded because he's too lax.

Mark - I hate how rude he was to Eric Carr, and I hate him for being a pedo!

Eric C - I do not hate anything about this sweet man. I just hate that he dated such a vile woman.

OOOH Good question. I'm going to go outside of the norm and say...Eric Carr. He's my favorite KISS drummer, and he just seemed like such a truly kind down to earth person to the fans.

As for question 2 it's definitely Mark St. John. We don't stan pedos and creepers round here.

It used to be Paul x Ace, but I'm starting to have a soft spot in my heart for StarSpace. I guess currently it would be Ace x Bruce, only because I'm not sure if those two are even friends.

I adore that Ace believes he's an alien from Jendell.

I hated how out of control he was with alcohol.

That's a tough one. I love all of my fanfictions as if they were my own children. If I had to pick a favorite I would say "Love Triangle" since it was my very first KISS fanfiction.

6 - Are there any fics from others you re-read all the time?

I do! Currently though I've been feeling nostalgic and have been re-visiting old fanfictions i used to read back in high school and college.

8 - What project(s) are you currently working on?

Starstruck.

15 - How do you come up with titles for your fic/chapters?

I just look at the overall theme of the story and choose my titles around that.

27 - Is there a fic you were nervous to post/share? Why?

Starstruck. I wasn't sure how the fandom would react to the mind control kink, but it has become my most popular KISS fanfiction I've written to date.

KISS Soundcheck in Irvine, California

Holy smokes, folks! Soundcheck was nucking futs! If you get the chance, DO IT! It's so worth the money even with the new Covid protocols.

My day started off odd...a very confused intern took me backstage where I was told I needed to take a Covid test to attend meet n greet. It turns out I was NOT even supposed to take one at all, let alone be back there...I'm Covid free btw. :) I chatted with Keith, KISS's photographer for a while and the next thing I know a mic is shoved in my hand and I'm led onto the PIT area where I got to ask KISS questions!!!

Some honorable mentions:

Eric’s dream is to play with a member of The Beatles.

Paul orders a decalf half and half no water chia latte with a biscotti.

Hearing these rarities alone was worth the money! The VIP lounge area was cool. Free drinks, free food, free guitar picks, free photo ops...what more could you ask for! The meet n greet is a little odd this year with the band behind plexiglass. Eric saw my Starchild boots and squealed with glee, making the other bands look at my beautiful...but very painful 7 inch platform boots.

The main show was epic as always! Right after "God of Thunder" it started it sprinkle. In fact in the middle of "Rock n Roll All Nite" there was a major electrical storm! Gene really is the God Of Thunder lol.

Eric Singer LOVED my boots! He made the other bandmates come over to see them.

I left the venue with more picks from Tommy and Paul and a massive Starchild balloon!
