Tanny took me to the museum yesterday knowing that my favourite thing to do is wander in museums and art galleries. Unfortunately though at the moment being able to go to these places is for us and probably many others beyond budget. The York Museum Trust have however gotten together The Yorkshire Museum, York Castle Museum and The York Art Gallery to provide a ticket for both residents and visitors that means you can go to these places as many times as you like for between £11-£15 a year. Also if you happen to be on benefits this card is free. Yes you read that right it’s free!!! For us being able to go out somewhere on my good days is a huge thing. Even then I normally can’t get around a whole place and it takes at least 4 - 5 trips to see something all the way round. This for us is perfect. To make it fair though we always try to pick up a little something when we go. Tanny and I curled up in our quarantine on the couch. The Dreaded Lurgy has hit and knocked us both into a flurry of tissues, an extra pharmacy of anti flu capsules, nasal sprays, and throat sweets etc. The only thing we can do now is watch Leverage and pass each other tissues or the bin to put one in.
