Hinata: Well, we were actually talking about how we could participate in the 'school festival.'

Yuuta: The 'school festival' is a big event, so it draws in a lot of visitors from outside the school and we'd like to join it...。 I'm not sure if we have anything in mind for what we'd be performing though.

Hinata: But we're idols, we can entertain the audience with a live performance.

I think we might do something different though, since we're probably thinking of something everyone else is thinking of as well.

Yuuta: How about we think of something other than idols then. A staple in the 'school festival' is the food and drinks, right?

HoHo~♪ The “School Festival” is almost soon so everyone is excited? Ehehe, Sora is excited too!

wwww DON'T WORRY I UNDERSTAND HAVING HISTORY W GODAWFUL FANDOMS i've got some of my own... but yeah there's just something that feels so fun about having to find the stories more manually than just tapping through a game menu that lays them out for you, it's like a treasure hunt kind of hehehe

my fave story i honestly think might be Tamayori's Haunted Dollhouse god it has so much going for it there's so much i can say... i love valkyrie & switch interactions so much. it has both my favorite mika and natsume cards in it. most iconic valkyrie outfits ever at least in my brain those make me go rabid... cute shmk + ntmg carnival date action. natsume does a hit again and we got the most pitiful mugi ever from it. NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT SHU HAVING A LITTLE BIT OF FUN WITH GETTING SCARY AND SPOOKING TSUMUGI ON PURPOSE?? and oh my god SHINOBUUUUU was so cute in this story it made me actually cry a little bit, his interactions with anzu were so delightful and the moment when switchvalk help him out when he gets too scared was so SWEET??!! auuurgghhh i am like a car salesman for this story i will shill it to anyone who will listen it's just really enjoyable

you never expected to come into posession of such a doll. inherited, really. mika was so sweet, it was hard to believe that someone as nice as him could be any sort of cursed doll. he loves to hold your hand as you walk to school and stuck to your side as if he was glued to you, unless you had asked him to do something.

but it's then when he gets scary. he follows your orders and to a T. but if you're vague at all, he will take advantage of it for your benefit. you have to be careful of what you say. you never realized before how the smallest things would be used as a wish for him to fulfill.

"if only i wasn't so busy today," you say. mika ruffles your hair before dashing off, and a few minutes to a few hours later, you get messages from your higher ups that you should go home early, and someone else will handle your work today. mika always returns in time to see you reading the text, hugging your waist and asking what more you want from him.

"this person is annoying me, i wish they would leave me alone," you say. the first day you say this is as soon as you realize need to watch what you say. it was after school, and a classmate of yours had just finished speaking with you as you walked with your doll, who had been holding you against his body protectively during the conversation. as they walked away, and you said what you had, you felt mika's body tense. you watch as he storms up to that student and leads them into a side alley. the two disappear around the corner, which is immediately followed by screaming, and then a loud crack. a few more cracks are heard and the yelling stops suddenly, and mika returns to you with a spattering of blood up his arm and on his face.

that person won't bother you ever again, darling! now, what should he do for you now? what more do you want from him? ask more of him. be more selfish. be greedy. spiral into your desires and let him take care of every single one.

- Toy Box: Okay I don't actually remember a lot about this one but I read it at least and it didn't make me suffer too much so there's that. Also focuses on Nazuna and Mitsuru

- Dollhouse: Mika and Midori get trapped in a warehouse. Enough said. Also focuses on Chiaki and Tsumugi trying to find them

- Sakura & Rose: Mika makes an outfit for Mademoiselle. It's cute. I also think it's exclusive to Chinese enstars but I might be wrong. Also has Keito, Kuro, and Ritsu in it

School Festival ☆ Tamayori’s Haunted Dollhouse - Chapter Nine

Season: Spring

Location: Grounds

Mika: *sniff, sniff* ...ah, somethin’ smells good...♪

Shu: ......

Mika: na~?  Oshi-san, why’re ya starin’ at me so hard?  ‘s a little embarrassin’.

Shu: you’re too self-conscious.  I wasn’t looking at you, but rather looking past you.

Mika: yep, Oshi-san only looks at works o’ art, after all.

Shu: well, if one were going by looks alone, you are certainly worth looking at.  It’s when you open your mouth that the illusion is broken.  Moreover, I thought you were looking for food, but you won’t be hungry at dinner time if you eat now.

Mika: ah, ‘s a good point.  I wouldn’t like it if I couldn’t eat the food ya made.  

Na?  Oshi-san, they’re sellin’ okonomiyaki*~ ♪

Shu: have you already forgotten what I just told you?  Well, if you really want some, you don’t need my permission to go and buy it.  

From now on, you can eat okonomiyaki as much as you want, and you won’t have to worry about eating what I make.

Mika: naaa, I don’t want that!  Yer sayin’ weird things; I gotta lighten the mood~!

Shu: I wasn’t really that offended.  But I do wonder if you’ll receive proper nutritional value when you eat things like that.

Mika: eh...?  Then perhaps Oshi-san...is worried about me... ♪

Shu: that’s not it.  This crowd is making me feel ill, and if you eat something like that next to me, my mood will only get worse.

Mika: na~  Oshi-san, I know ya don’t like crowds.  ‘m sorry fer bringin’ ya to a place like this.

Shu: don’t apologize, it’s busy everywhere.  It’s impossible to find a quiet place right now.

Mika: (ahaha...right now, ‘s almost like Oshi-san’s bein’ kinda gentle.  Well, usually he’d jes’ say somethin’ about how I’m a ‘failure of a doll’  Normally he wouldn’t even come with me t’ a place like this.  But even if it’s a little busy, ‘m glad yer with me.  

Even though y’ didn’t want t’ do the ‘school festival’ at all, y’ had a change o’ heart.  ‘n then ya went t’ see yer friends perform, and it really did seem like ya were enjoyin’ yerself; it was nice t’ see ya that way.  ‘s always more fun t’ enjoy somethin’ than t’ have bad feelings, and it makes me happy t’ see Oshi-san happy~ ♪

Though, speakin’ of fun ...’s the last festival fer Tsumu-chan-senpai as part of Switch, and when we joined they mentioned wantin’ t’ make fun memories.  At th’ time, I wondered whether Oshi-san might be thinkin’ the same thing, but maybe ‘s not really like him.  

I think I understand, now, though - mebbe fer him, goin’ t’ see what his friends are doin’ and wanderin’ around like this are those kinda fun memories, even if he doesn’t admit it)

Shinobu: thank you for waiting-de gozaru!  Here’s some yellow cotton candy-de gozaru~ ♪  Eh, it’s fluffy and delicious?  Ehehe, you saying that makes this all worthwhile-de gozaru!

Mika: (naa, that tiny child is workin’ hard.  He’s makin’ cotton candy... he’s tryin’ his best, it makes me wanna support ‘im when I see that ♪)

Shu: Kagehira.  What is it?  Do you see something good?

Mika: uh...I’m... O-Oshi-san!  There!  Would ya look over there!?

Shu: don’t yell.  Are you telling me to look because of food again?

Mika: nope - here; here, a lottery stall!  Ya get a stuffed animal fer excellent luck~  Medium luck gets ya a little stuffed toy, ‘n ya get a mascot fer small luck!  They’re real cute so I’d be happy t’ get one, but the mascots are kinda cute too so any prize is good... ♪

Shu: cute?  You have no eye for beauty; those toys and mascots are quite plain.  That sort of description would only be accurate for a doll like Mademoiselle.

Mika: yep, Mado-nee is really beautiful ‘n cute.  Speaking of which, though, where is she?  I haven’t seen ‘er since we went on break.

Shu: I didn’t want to bring her out here, so she’s resting back in the green room.

Mika: yeah.  There’s people everywhere t’day.

Shu: regardless, do you want to try the lottery?

Mika: y-yeah...um, I’d like t’ do it t’gether, if ya wanna... ♪

Shu: I don’t really have a right to say otherwise; you accompanied me to the theater club performance, so it’s only fair if I draw the lotto with you.

Mika: uwa, thank ya kindly, Oshi-san!

‘Scuse me, can we get two lotto draws, please... ♪

Ah, ‘s better if ya draw with yer favorite paper, right?  *rummaging sounds*... well, here it is

Shu: .......

Mika: Oshi-san, are ya done drawin’?

Ehehe, I wonder what we got, my heart’s poundin’ in excitement  ♪

Eh, small luck?  Didja get the same?  ‘m happy t’ get the same as Oshi-san~ ♪

Ah, I c’n choose my favorite mascot?  N~... if that’s th’ case, I’ll pick this one!

Shu: once again, you’ve picked the most unappealing one.

Mika: really?  Ya don’t think this zombie mascot is cute?  I thought it was kinda appropriate seein’ as how we’re puttin’ on a haunted house ‘n all.

So?  Which one’re ya gonna pick?

Shu: I don’t need any.  Choose whichever one you’d like.

Mika: wah, really?  Um, um ...~ yep, I’ll get this one!  There, I got two cute ‘n scary mascots.  ‘m gonna decorate my room when we get home~ ♪

(Goin’ around the ‘school festival’ with Oshi-san and drawin’ the lotto t’gether, those seem like pretty good memories t’ me.  Fer the rest of my life, I won’t ferget this day... ♪)

Shinobu: Eek…!?

Shuu: ��My, I’m sorry for scaring you. Don’t worry, we’re not here to hurt you.”

“If you walk straight in that direction, you’ll find the exit. Oh, it’s dark so watch your step. Make sure you don’t drop her.”

Shinobu: O-Okay. The Transfer Student and I will shoulder the responsibility until we reach the exit!

Shuu: “Thank you. We scared and surprised you because it’s been such a while since we last saw a human, so we were a little giddy.”

“I hope you’ll forgive the others and their mischief.”

“Bye-bye~ We’ll be happy if you come visit us again…♪”

Tsumugi: Fufu. The child has recovered his smile.

Maybe it really was a good idea for Shuu-kun to talk to him through his ventriloquism. If he had talked to him in his normal speech, he would have scared the child again.

No, him simply standing there is already very impactful~ Shuu-kun is the one scaring and surprising the visitors the most.

The child just now was simply scared by his appearance.

Mika: Heheh. That’s ‘cause Oshi-san made that outfit ♪

Natsume: AnywAY, why are you heRE, Senpai?

It’s your and Sora-kun’s job to stand by the exit and surprise the visitors by saying, “You’ve finally reached the goal!”, isn’t iT?

We can’t have you straying from your plaCE. It’s going to be such a hassle, bUT we’re going to have to train you agaIN.

Tsumugi: Train…? I’m not a dog; I’m human. Well, I do feel like you don’t treat me as one at times, Natsume-kun.

Natsume: HmPH. You’re a “vengeful spirit” right nOW, Senpai. I don’t think I need to treat you like a human, dO I?

Tsumugi: Oh, you’re right! But that would be the same for you as well, right, Natsume-kun?

Natsume: …………

Tsumugi: Oh, I was just about to be hit by a Natsume-kun who got annoyed by what I said! Fufu, I’m glad I was able to defend myself in the spur of the moment~♪

Natsume: GeEZ, stop looking so hapPY. Anyway, answer my questiON.

Tsumugi: Oh, right. I heard a loud scream so I came to see what was going on.

But even so, I shouldn’t have left Sora-kun on his own like that. He must be feeling lonely again… I’ll go back to where he is.

Sora: HaHa~♪ Senpai, did you call for Sora?

Tsumugi: Gyaaa!?

Uuu, you scared me~! Umm, did you come all the way here? You must have done so because you felt lonely, I’m so sorry!

Sora: No, Sora saw a fun “colour”~ Sora came because Sora wanted to join in on the fun!

Sora felt kinda sad because there’s been a lot of scary “colours” today~ But there are fun “colours” too? Sora was confused!

Tsumugi: Ahaha. Seeing people scared and frightened is a successful sign of a haunted house, though. But that must have been quite sad for you, Sora-kun.

Sora: Yes! On second thought, fun “colours” are the prettiest! HiHi~♪

Ehehe, everyone has a pretty “colour”! It shines like a rainbow and makes you happy when you look at “it”!

Mika: (...I see. If everyone has a happy “colour”, then that means that applies to Oshi-san too, right?)

(I’m happy to see that, but it feels like Oshi-san was only able to have fun thanks to “Switch’s” help this time…)

(I can’t help but feel a bit of regret as Oshi-san’s doll.)

(Right. It might be hard to do now, but someday, I’ll help Oshi-san stand on top of the stage he’s always dreamed of! I’ll cheer Oshi-san up!)

Natsume: It’s not real fire so it’s not dangeroUS. And I’m not mean to you because I’m not honeST.

It’s because you say unpleasant thinGS. I’m mean towards you because it annoys mE.

Tsumugi: Uuu, I’m sorry about that… But even so, I don’t think it’s right of you to be mean to me for that reason.

Sora: HuHu~♪ Master~ is mean to Senpai because it’s how he expresses love~♪ He likes you a lot so he’s mean to Senpai!

Natsume: HmPH. I put in a lot of effort for the haunted house becauSE “Valkyrie” and “2wink” are also a part of it and I didn’t want to leave it incompleTE.

The reason why the visitors can leave with a smile on their facES is because “Switch” are magicians who make everyone hapPY.

Sora: Yes! “Switch” will make both the visitors and ghosts happy! HeHe~♪

natsumika is v good i think their dynamic is kind of touched on in tamayoris haunted dollhouse and a little bit in magical halloween.... also shinsekai a bit??
