Leica Q-P camera officially announced

The previously rumored Leica Q-P camera is now officially announced. Available in matte black exterior, the new model doesn’t have the front-facing Leica red dot logo, but it has the classic script engraving on the top plate. The shutter release button and power switch/drive mode selector have been redesigned to be like the those found on the Leica M10 and CL. The Leica Q-P will be on sale beginning today at Leica Stores, Boutiques and Dealers for $4,995 (some stores already have it in stock today):

The New Leica Q-P: An Artful Statement of Understatement

A refined design and kit for Leica Camera’s celebrated full-frame compact Leica Q

Discreet and versatile, the Leica Q-P aids photographers with capturing the perfect shot across a variety of genres including sports, concerts, weddings and photojournalism. The Leica Q-P is the “do-it-all” camera, with its simple button arrangement, compact-size, versatile prime lens and high-quality image results.
