Bandai Japan Announces Tamagotchi Plus Plushies Volume 2!

The next wave is here! If you’ve already been drooling over the first four plushies in volume 1, then add these five to your list! The next four plushies are the exact same size, 8 centimeters, but new shells that pay homage to their original release back in 2004. The shells are Strawberry Milk, Aloha Red, Yukata Blue, Apples (Yellow), and Choucho.

They’ll be available nationwide in Japan at cane game machines in arcades starting on Thursday, August 8th, 2024!

Bandai Japan Announces New Tamagotchi Plus, Mimitchi & Furawatchi Crane Game Prizes

Pack those arcade machines with Tamagotchi prizes! Bandai’s Banpresto Crane Game division has announced new prizes that will be in crane machines real soon!

First up we have the dynamic duo of Mimitichi & Furawatchi plushes that are approximately 21 centimeters. They’ll be available at arcade crane game machines starting on Tuesday, April 23th, 2024!

Next up are these Keitei Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus plushies! They’re unique as their characters on screen are in modern pixel format which feature colors. They’re palm sized and approximately 8 centimeters each. There are five different shell types! In one of the pictures it does look like these could hang from an included lanyard. They’ll be available at arcade crane game machines starting on Thursday, April 25th, 2024!

Trafford Centre Manchester England Carries Gashapon Tamagotchi Plus Charms

If you’ve been looking for those super cute Gashapon Tamagotchi Plus charms, be sure to head over to Trafford Centre in Manchester, England! Emmafjm on Reddit was visiting Trafford Center Bandai Namco Cross store and discovered a Gashapon machine with these charms! 2 tokens and one spin and you’re able to get your hands on these adorable charms.

Tamagotchi Center Backlight Toggle

We’ve seen some pretty cool Tamagotchi Modifications over the years, including installing a backlight to illuminate the display of older Tamagotchi models that do not feature a color display. This makes it significantly user to use them in low light environments.

Tamagotchi Center has just modification one of their Keitei Kaitsuu Tamagotchi’s to include a backlight, but it only turn on by pressing the “C” button. Great idea considering that will save some battery life for that replaceable CR2032. Other modifications have enabled the backlight by pressing nay button, but this modification is mindful of your battery life!

Bandai Gashapon Reveals Tamagotchi Plus Series Charms

If this isn’t a sign that Bandai might be ringing back the Tamagotchi Plus/Connection series, then we don’t know what is. Bandai Gashapon has just updated their upcoming schedule for Gashapon capsules, and we are getting a third installation of the Tamagotchi miniature charm series. As a reminder, these charms are not functional, and are merely accessories.

The third installation delivers Tamagotchi Plus series miniature charms! That’s right, there are two shells from the Tamagotchi Plus models released in Japan from the years 2004-2006, oh the nostalgia! There are four Tamagotchi Plus versions featured which include the Tamagotchi Plus, Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus (Entama), and Ura Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus (Uratama).

There are a total of ten shells, two for each version. The screens on each feature a different Tamagotchi character in a different pose, including Ichigotchi, Young Mimitchi, Young Mametchi, Ringotchi, Mametchi, Furawatchi, Makkiko, Shimashimatchi, Ura Mametchi, Ura Memetchi.

The charms event include the classic ball chain and even charms and/or straps that are exact replicas of the original devices released back in the day. They’ll be available nationwide in Japan at Gashapon machines for ¥300 including tax starting in the third week of June, 2023. You just need to locate a Gashapon machine that features these charms, insert your money, and rotate the dial and hope you get the one you’re looking for!

New Ontario Mills Mall Gashapon Store Carries Tamagotchi Plus Charms

We’re so excited to see that the Tamagotchi Plus Charms are making their way outside of Japan! First spotted at the Shibuyala KTown Gashapon store, and now spotted at the newest Ontario Mills Mall Gashapon store! In a recent Instagram story shared by Gashapon US, we spotted a Tamagotchi Plus charms Gashapon machine!
