When you step inside your apartment, your heart starts to pound hard. The full realization dawns on you quickly. The fuck. You can't be like this. You fan your face, feeling the heat rising to your cheeks. You kind of feel like screaming. “You can't be like this,” you repeat the words loudly to yourself.

Why do you feel this way, though? You despise yourself for it. Maybe the idea of tying the knot with someone is really getting to you. You walk to your kitchen and gulp down some cold water to hydrate your throat. You need to be logical about this. Gosh, you need your best friend, Tami, right now. But she’s probably asleep already; it’s almost 1 am. So, you send some urgent texts to her, telling her that you’ll meet Sakusa tomorrow. You also send her a message that says something like, “The marriage plan is happening!! I’m gonna make a list of things that I need to discuss w him. Please give me ideas for some important topics!:( Love u.” You know your best friend can at least give you some pointers, especially since she's been married for four years.

You start to clean yourself up, changing your clothes, removing your makeup, brushing your teeth, washing your face, and doing a quick skincare routine. Now that you’re more comfortable, you might think more clearly. You check the time on your phone and lie down on your bed. Okay. You’ll make a few points yourself first.

You try to think hard, but nothing substantial comes up. So, you search for it on Google. You click on some articles and jot down notes in your notes app. You can't write much because you find some topics aren't relatable to your situation. Some of them are too real couple things. For example: "How to spend the right time together?" or "What happens if you feel like you’re drifting apart?" type of questions. That’s totally not relatable, right? A few topics that you’ve written down are: finances (how will you split the bill?), where you will live, personal space, and how you will divide the chores. Before you know it, your eyes start to close as you drift off to sleep.

When you wake up, it's because of the constant vibration from your phone. You check it and see that it’s still around 7 am. The vibration is from Tami’s texts. You quickly check her responses.

She lists a few topics, some of which are already written in your notes app. Then, there are some you haven't listed before:

1. Who is allowed to know about this pact? Damn, she’s right. You'll need to create your version of a love story either way.

2. How would this marriage be? Can each of you date other people, or do you want to be exclusive? Oh. Right. You’ve thought about this before, too. This is important.

3. The wedding. How big should it be? Yup, you still need to talk about this.

4. Physical intimacy? (P.S. Please talk about this, girl! You’re stupid if you’re not getting that dick) 

You roll your eyes. This is so her. But then you start to reflect on yourself. Sex? Of course, you're no virgin. You’re sure he’s not either. But, to be honest, you can’t really remember the last time you had sex. Damn! You think it was years ago with your last situationship. Yes, you’ve had your share of one-night stands, but that was in your early 20s. You just know that those kinds of activities are not that safe. Not that you judge anyone who does it, but for you, you usually do it with someone you trust pretty well. And there aren't a lot of men that you can trust to do that. Plus, the act is often disappointing. So, sex isn’t your top priority nowadays. Yes, you have your needs, but you could always take care of yourself. So far, so good. It’s manageable. You’re not sure how to bring this topic up to Kiyoomi, though. It feels wrong too to imagine stuff like that with him. You huff. You won't bring this up.

5. Children? Hmm, you haven’t really thought about this topic. 

Do you want children? Yes, you do, but it's not like you really want them. You guess it’s just because of an image of a perfect family you had in your head since you were little. This discussion will also complicate some financial topics. And you don’t know whether Kiyoomi wants children or not. So, you might skip this part. This is not something you considered when agreeing to this anyway.

6. Deal breakers? You can’t really think of what this would relate to in your relationship right now. Since there’s no romance involved, right? You might as well skip this part.

You type your thanks profusely to Tami and then start your Sunday morning by snacking on your energy bar. You'll have your breakfast with Sakusa. Then, you take a shower and get ready. After you finish getting ready, you check your phone and see some messages from Sakusa saying he’s on his way to your apartment. His trip to your place usually takes about 20 minutes. So, you sit on your couch and continue watching the series you haven’t finished.

A few minutes later, your phone vibrates. It's a text from Sakusa saying he’s arrived. You quickly respond and make your way downstairs. Spotting his car, you knock on the passenger seat window. He opens the door, and you slide in.

"Hey," you greet him.

"Hey," he replies. "Where do you want to eat?"

You suggest a restaurant not too far from your apartment that serves good avocado toast and truffle mushroom benedict. He agrees and starts to drive there.

As he drives, you take a moment to look at him. He's wearing a dark green corduroy jacket over a white shirt and black shorts. He’s not wearing his mask, but you notice the mask box between your seats. He smells good, a pleasant combination of his shampoo, soap, and cologne. He always smells good, you realize.

The car ride is quiet but comfortable, the kind of silence that feels natural rather than awkward. As you approach the restaurant, you feel a mix of anticipation and nervousness about the conversation that awaits.

As soon as you arrive, both of you order avocado toast and coffee. You finish your breakfast first, then you start the discussion. “So? Where do we start from here? Do you have anything in mind?” you ask.

Sakusa nods. “I do. Do you?”

“Yes,” you reply. Then you start to run through your list. For the financial topics, Sakusa insists on paying all the bills related to your living place: housing, electricity, and water. But you're confused. “Then, what should I pay for?” you ask.

“Some of the groceries, I guess.” Sakusa replies.

“What? No. I can’t. At least let me pay for the water or something, too?” you protest.

“Please. Just let me pay for that,” he insists.

You have never seen him plead before, but seeing his face now, you think this might be as close to pleading as he gets. “I’ve told you, you can leave some of your jobs if you’d like. It’s better for your health, too, I guess…” you can hear a hint of concern in his voice.

You're silent for a moment but then accept his offer, albeit reluctantly. Maybe you should try to relax a bit more. Isn't that one of the perks of this marriage pact? You then move to the next part, which is the living place. He suggests you move into his apartment, and you think it's more reasonable since he has three rooms in his apartment, allowing you to have one as your own room.

“How about personal space?” you ask.

“What about it?” Sakusa responds.

“Do you have a room or place that you won’t allow other people, like me, to enter?”

He’s silent for a bit. “My room.”

You nod your head. You’re no stranger to his need for personal space. In fact, you remember some of his past girlfriends complaining about it. He's the type of person who’s quite rigid about his boundaries. You'll try your best not to cross any of them. You express this concern to him, asking him to please let you know if you ever step over any boundaries. He answers with a simple "okay."

Next, you start to discuss the chores. You both conclude that he’ll be the one who cleans around the house, and you offer to be the chef. You’re not the best cook, but you’re also not bad. You'll do this since you'll have more spare time after letting go of some of your side jobs. Laundry will be done alternately each week.

Then, you start to discuss the topic list that Tami has given you. You both agree that the only ones who will know about this pact are the two of you, Komori, and Tami. You already told him that you shared this with her, and he’s understanding about that. He tells you that he already informed Komori about this plan as well. You’re a bit surprised, wondering whether Komori has known since the New Year party or before that. If he knew, he seemed nonchalant about it. But, he will definitely tease you about this.

The love story for both of you will be simple. You know each other since high school, secretly liked each other, and have been secretly dating for a year before deciding to get married. That’s just perfect. Your parents also know each other, and your mom has teased you about him before. Quite early in your friendship, even though you clearly stated to her that you considered him just a friend. Well, she might be quite shocked and cocky, having her “I told you so” moment upon hearing this wedding news. It’s okay; you’ll just have to deal with it for a bit.

You then mention the wedding and tell him that you actually want to have an intimate one. He agrees and chimes in that he needs to inform his manager as well since there will likely be some media coverage for an athlete's wedding. You nod, remembering Komori’s wedding. You hope there will be no big commotion from the public. You know he has some persistent fangirls and just hope they won’t give you threats or anything. Fingers crossed, you sigh. This is for Kiyoomi’s benefit too. You remember he always says he struggles with rejecting gifts and random confessions; maybe this marriage will reduce those kinds of things.

“How would this marriage be? Can each of us date another person, or do we want to be exclusive?” you read from your notes. He stares at you. “I think it’s up to you.”

You nod at his statement, understanding that it’s also up to him. It’s reasonable. Why would this marriage stop him from getting any girl he wants? You don’t know much about his hook-up activities, never inquiring about them either. He’s very private about that. You sigh mentally, feeling a tinge of insecurity, which you think is stupid. You can’t be unfair to him. “Yeah, let’s just be careful about it. We can’t let people know, though. It’ll look bad on us,” you respond, staring down at your phone.

You don’t hear his response and see the notes on your app, deciding to skip some of the topics that you're not sure how to bring up. “Is there anything you want to add?” you ask him.

“Will you take my family name?” he asks.

You think for a moment and nod. “I will.” Then, you start to repeat your name with ‘Sakusa’ in front of it in your head. You kind of want to laugh, thinking that you used to call him by his family name during your early years of friendship. Now, that name will be yours too.

After that, you delve into detailing the aspects of your wedding. You had stated earlier that you wanted an intimate ceremony, so you emphasize making the wedding small and estimating the budget, aiming to keep it as economical as possible and split it 50/50. Sakusa interjects again, insisting he’ll just pay it all. You don’t mind the budget since it’s much cheaper compared to what some of your friends usually spend. You also have enough savings for it. After a bit of disagreement, you settle on an 80/20 split.

Your wedding will be held in mid-February with a garden party theme, which you suggest. All the preparations will be handled by a wedding organizer that you both found together. Sakusa is actually very cooperative, offering to contact the wedding organizer and jotting down some of the information you discuss together on his phone’s notes. You thought he’d be bored with such detailed discussions, but he had even done a lot of research beforehand and gave you insights about the wedding experiences of his relatives and friends. You heard from some of your friends that their partners didn’t really put in the effort and handed it all over to the woman. So, you’re very glad he’s not like that. After all, marriage takes two people to make it work.

You both then decide that everything sounds good and finalize the plans. As you’re about to stand up, he suddenly grabs your hand. You look at him and see him hesitating a bit. 

“What? Is there something wrong?” you ask.

He then pulls you down, prompting you to sit again beside him. You stare at him curiously as his hand moves inside his jacket pocket, taking out something. It’s a box. A ring box! You realize, flabbergasted by his action. Your mouth falls open.

“Wait, wait. What?” you stammer, staring at the navy velvet ring box. 

He proceeds to open it, showing a silver ring. You notice that the ring features a row of detailed Forget-Me-Not flowers running into delicate leaves on either side of the band. You’re totally speechless. You didn’t expect him to give you a ring right now. You thought you could just buy some matching rings together that simply show “Yeah, we’re married.” But this ring in front of you looks expensive as hell.

“I know this kind of marriage is something you never expected. I know this is not something you dreamed of either. But let me make this a bit proper. I want you to have this,” Sakusa says.

You feel like crying, touched by his sentiment. He then slides the ring onto your finger, and you can’t help but thank him and hug him, driven by your emotions. You widen your eyes, taken aback, and mumble a quick apology, afraid that you’ve invaded his personal space or something. But he hugs you back.

It seems like this marriage pact isn’t so bad, after all.

and walks!! oh god i literally was thinking about how much sam would love love love to go on walks with his partner, genuinely. he loves the fresh air under a circumstance so domestic and normal and it's made a million times better by you. your hand in his makes him feel so calm and it gives him those little pieces of normalcy that he craves, no matter the fact that he'll always choose this life. you give him balance and something pure and good to come home to. and ahhhh yes the nerd talk <333 i'm making heart eyes right now for real. he feels so so so grateful for someone to talk to about all these little random facts of knowledge that he has floating around in his head! in instead of shutting him down or calling him a nerd (well, sometimes you do but it's done so lovingly that he doesn't care) you actually will listen, and even ask him follow up questions! he's just so excited to share things with you <33

ive been enabled so let me share some of my thoughts on how to get ur art noticed online

if u want Engagement on ur posts then i believe that its critical to make people care about ur art. the easiest way to do this is to appeal to something they already care about, like fandom, aesthetics/subculture, current events, having fun (people love humor!). a harder but perhaps more fulfilling route is to talk about ur own ocs and projects enough until people start caring about them too

theres an infinite amount of topics people care about out there so id suggest picking something u already care about urself and channel ur art energy there. trying to make art for the most popular things out there regardless own interests is an exercise in misery, id advise against it..! if im allowed to get superstitious for a moment, i do believe that even untrained eyes can tell whether a piece of art was fun to work on or a chore. and besides! if ur having fun then its easier to create more, and the more u create the more chances ull have at getting lucky and having a post seen :)

on a very related note, art is a way to communicate ideas so the quality of the idea being presented in a piece of art is paramount to how popular a post will be. what i mean by this is that technical skill isnt the primary determinant of a posts popularity. if all your posts are portraits of original characters then people will have a hard time connecting with your posts and theyll keep scrolling, even if those portraits are masterpieces! the major exception to this is probably other artists, who ive found usually have a greater appreciation for the technical side of art (we can only speculate as to why..!)

lemme finish by saying that making popular posts and being good at art are two entirely different skillsets, ive seen many incredibly skilled artists with jack shit for notes because they dont give people a reason to care about their stuff NOT TO MENTION its a huge game of luck whether a post will get seen. so dont go insane in pursuit of recognition!

here we have a portrait of my fursona that im still proud of and a sketch suggesting "what if sniffers (from minecraft) were the size of mountains?" (let it be noted that the sniffer sketch was posted right during the minecraft mob vote = peak interest in the subject of sniffers).

the portrait at the time of writing has a crisp 30 notes, whilst the sniffer sketch has over 2000 notes. from the same artist, on the same blog, posted only a few months apart. i believe this is a good example both of the power of a piece of art having an interesting idea at its core AND of a piece appealing to the interests of the masses

this is of course just two convenient example posts, but i have experienced fan art of popular topics getting thousands of notes a couple of times now, amidst my other furry shit that these days get around 200-300 notes in comparison

this may sound like a really long winded way of saying "fan art make the world go round" but i just want to point out the nuances that

1) it matters what u make fan art of: if a fandom is small or dormant (waiting on new canon content for example) then clearly less people will be excited about the fan art you make. dont expect 10k notes on ur post if the average recent post in the fandom gets around 200 etc etc

2) it doesnt have to be fan art! ive also had some of my bird art get thousands of notes because people simply like birds :) and this applies to ANY topic people care about! the world rly is your oyster on this one

anyway i think ive started rambling dhgdjhgd thanks if u read this far! i hope i got my point across! and if ur feeling down about ur art not being seen then just keep at it okay! keep creating and keep having fun! keep sharing ur ideas and perspectives with the world and ur audience will eventually find u! i love you!

Hello hello!! A friend and I were actually just talking somewhat about this the other day! <3 personally I feel like all of the love and attention T.O.P has been getting is absolutely amazing! He’s a sweet amazing guy and it’s easy to love him🥰💕 I feel like with everything he’s had to go through, he deserves all of the love and support he’s been getting towards his acting roles and music 🫶 but I do wish new fans would also notice the others in BigBang as much as they do T.O.P, while I 100% believe top deserves all of the love and support I also feel like the other three boys deserve the same amount especially with all of the hard work they’ve been doing with Home sweet home, their MAMA performance, Ji-Yong getting on Korea’s vogue magazine <3 I don’t think anybody should take any love or support away from T.O.P, but I do wish they’d share the love with Ji-Yong, Dae-Sung, and Tae-Yang 💕 As for the older fans and newer fans situation I’ve noticed going on, I understand it but I also don’t. While I understand their frustration, because from what I’ve seen around TikTok and Tumblr, newer fans have started a lot of rumors and false narratives about T.O.P, and getting the Thanos character and him mixed together with their backstories and personalities, often not even learning T.O.P stage name or real name, just choosing to call him Thanos and only seeing him as the character, not the sweet, funny, caring, shy guy that he is . That and something I don’t really ever like seeing that makes me feel extremely uncomfortable is a lot of people on TikTok have been taking the media clips of T.O.P leaving the hospital for thanos edits which just rubs me the wrong way. It was a dark time in his life, and the media being up his ass like that and the apology, all of it makes me uncomfortable, that man was hurting and desperate for a way out and instead of helping him, the media just made everything worse for him during it all. I don’t know if it’s just my own history with that kind of stuff or what, but it was just wrong that it ever happened in the first place instead of just letting the poor guy process what feelings he had :/ so I know for older fans it’s been upsetting a lot over seeing those clips resurface for silly edits on an app. What I don’t understand is why some older fans on here claim T.O.P would hate his new fans, etc, I don’t believe that he would, would he probably be just as uncomfortable seeing those certain edits of himself and the way some newer fans talk about him? Most likely 100% I know I would be, but who knows? None of us fans are T.O.P. He just wants to live his life the best he can while moving on from his past, so personally I feel like new and old fans need to respect that, new fans need to respect his past is his past and if he wants to move on from and and not talk about it then they shouldn’t be making 100s of disturbing edits including his hospital discharge clips for ‘hot’ edits of him, plus realizing that T.O.P is a human with feelings, not just a person on the internet who they are allowed to sexual 24/7 without ever wanting to learn about who he really is :/ and older fans need to realize, T.O.P is okay, they don’t need to fight day and night to protect him anymore, most new fans have the same love they do for him, even if that love is newer, they need to accept that T.O.P and BigBang will always have new people finding their music for the first time and falling in love with it <3

“Look at that.” Bucky uses a lot of Brock’s lines when he’s interrogating people. They work pretty well. “Guess I know what he gave you then.”

“What the fuck, oh my God.” Ransom blinks, twisting in his chair. “What is that?!”

“I don’t know it’s actual name, but I can tell you in about five minutes you’re gonna start begging me to fuck you. And you’ll feel like you’re gonna die if I don’t.”

Ransoms eyes are wide.

“Thats...oh god. Fuck. You people are fucked up.”

Bucky nods. Now the kid's getting it. Bucky’s not usually easily aroused, he blames it on spending half his time with Brock, but his dick is definitely getting interesting in poor little Ransom, squirming in his chair.

“Its just another method of torture,” Bucky says, shrugging.

“You mean you can make it stop?”

“Sure, by shoving my dick in you.”

Seb sits across the table from Chris and tries not to make unnecessary eye contact. They’ve all been dragged out to drinks. Seb was planning on just going back to his room and waiting for drinks, but everyone else had agreed, and he worried about acting suspicious if he failed to go along. Besides, if Chris was going out for drinks, there wasn’t any point in waiting in the hotel room all night for him, not knowing when he’ll come back. He’d not even said yes for definite. It’d be sad if he turned down a night out and then Chris didn’t even show up.

He's regretting it now. He’s sure the fact that Chris has fucked him is written all over his face. In every look he gives Chris. In every look Chris gives him. He looks down into his glass. He didn’t even know if Chris is going to show up, after this, or ever again, there was no promises made. It was just a fuck in a bathroom. Seb needs to calm down...but the way he’d held him down against the sink and fucked him...that had felt like it would lead to a yes.

T - Who's Afraid of Little Old Me, Chapter 2

There’s no response and Bucky hears no noise coming from anywhere. It’s silent, and pitch black, and Bucky starts to freak out. He could be fucking anywhere, Steve could have left him like this, left him to die, somewhere no one will ever find him and –

“Help! Help me!” Bucky yells at the top of his voice.

“Jesus Christ, puppy, I knew I should have gagged you.” Steve’s glowing golden eyes appear out of nowhere in the dark about a meter from him.

Bucky jumps, he didn’t hear any footsteps or movement in the room, but he supposes Steve is a vampire.

“What the fuck?” he yells.

I definitely don’t mean I’ll stop writing. I couldn’t stop writing these two idiots falling in love in an infinity numbers of ways if I tried. We’ll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the film and I’ll be on my next idea and still be type-type-typing. (Or I’ll still be hacking away at Kim in shut up and drive, who knows.)

I just miss how fandom used to feel. When I felt like a contributor to a fun group and not a “content creator” who is nothing but a screen name making words for whoever, and “whoever” doesn’t care about me as a writer or themselves a fandom participant.

It’s funny. I used to have this trimberly discord server for writers, artists, graphics editors, etc and it was called Trimberly’s Creators Circle.

Back then, being a content creator felt like a good thing. Because content was more seen as a positive and an offering, almost. Now when I hear “content creator” I just feel like a robot with a ticking clock over my shoulder. And that’s because of the lack of actual fandom anymore. Not just this movie and ship, but all fandoms. Fandom wasn’t just consuming content. It was engaging with each other, making friends, taking turns to share things about the Thing you love, and encouraging each other on. And then for some people, it was about being the cheerleader, the admirer. The person to listen to an unhinged writer, ranting about one specific fic and their motivations and spoilers. Legit everyone had a role in fandom.

I’ve gone off on a rant, sorry. I just mean that….

I know I can be slow at replying to comments. I just communicate better, back and forth, on here or discord. And my memory is shit. But I still love hearing peoples thoughts. I want to talk to you about what I write, because I’m passionate about it. It’s in my brain bouncing around at all times, yearning to be free. guys im conflicted lolz. I think a date is nice its fun and cutesy and doesn't have to be anything more. but even early into the date like a couple hrs in he mentioned this David lynch screening at the independent cinema and if I'd like to go w him eventually. and he had already mentioned it over txt asking me earlier... so idk it was cute he asked again and I was also like ohhh he does want to see me again interesting

and I hate that I like the validation of being liked or someone who another person could find interesting and enjoy being around and be romantically attracted to. but it is nice ig but I don't want to get crazy or anything bc he is moving back to Florida after his time here is up bc he moved for work for a brief relocation thing. so just being ok w that idk. and i don't think i want a real relationship anyway atm bc I don't feel ready for one but it is kinda like oh what if my feelings end up hurt bc he eventually will move away. but people aren't things to have or keep etc and a brief experience w someone can b nice.

so we'll see. but it was chill nd im trying to not be impressed by the bare minimum like him holding a door open for me or offering to pay for my food which I declined. we checked out a thrift store nd there was some cool stuff but I didn't buy any clothes tho I did get a handmade ring which I like a lot. it has a thin band and a blue bead in the center. and then we walked for quite a while like an hour or two outside hahaha. and then we went to a record store and browsed a lot and talked abt music while we browsed. I got a Hum cd and big star cd. and then we got food and sat and talked for a while. and then after when we were walking again he asked if he could hold my hand.. I think he said like would you mind if I held your hand and idk maybe im insane but it was kinda cute and endearing kinda hot idk like 🤓 being asked... nd I got kinda flustered and was like yes. or I mean no. and we didn't talk for a minute while we just walked holding hands and I was kinda nervous. like im an adult woman why is a simple wholesome gesture making me all nervous and feeling like im doing something wrong by having intimate physical contact w someone hahaha. and it was kinda hot outside ngl by the afternoon

and then we sat on a bench and talked again for a long time and probably like 30-40min passed until he asked if he could put his arm around me and I was like ok🤭 and his hand was kinda near my hip and sometimes it'd brush against it and idk that is sexyyyy a tiny bit maybe I am insane nd just romance starved. but yeah I thought he was very nice and lowkey. like a lot of times I would talk more than him and go on long tangents lmaoo. I was kind of worried I was talking too much or taking up too much of the conversational space but its silly and also OK like I need to feel confident w taking up space and being verbose and saying what I want and like it matters ! but it was nice I felt fairly comfortable enough to talk a lot bc that's not always the case. nd it rly depends on the person and setting and how I'm feeling etc. but I did feel like conversation came pretty easy. but ngl I kinda just talk abt all the different stuff I like lmaoo. and he was nice and such. and at the end when he was walking me to my car he said he had a lot of fun and liked talking to me and my opinions on stuff which idk that kind of was nice since I often don't feel confident in what I have to say and verbalizing my thoughts and likes and such to others... nd he texted again saying he had a good time talking to me or smth. its funny cuz im so bad at differentiating platonic vs romantic and I thought maybe it was platonic at first until he asked if he could hold my hand lmaooo. and I do think he's very cool and has cool music taste and art and the fact that he does fiber arts and makes clothes and stuff like ok. I just read your recent asks. Just another opinion/input, I don't mind your tag. So long as it's not one of those attention grabber that is totally unrelated, I'll say you're good. Seriously though, they usually use popular tags and put porn on their post. I often cringed and almost cried when I'm looking for fics in my tags and found those; and also other fandom who use BTS' tags for exposure (like damn, the power of BTS I guess) when they're literally not a BTS fanfic. BTS tag is marginally wide because it can stand for behind the scene 😭 I don't need more unnecessary missuse. (Which is why I ran to AO3 anyway 😅)

On another note, you really are incredibly patient. I hope you'll stick around long for your faithful followers 🥹 this place is too toxic nowadays. If it ever gets too much, don't bottle it up and just retaliate; because there's bound to be little kids that's trying to stir up troubles.

I totally get what you mean about tag misuse. There’s a big difference between using tags for visibility within the right context (which is what I try to do) versus people just spamming random trending tags with unrelated content. And the porn bots?? The completely unrelated fandoms trying to ride on BTS’ engagement?? The way BTS can mean Bangtan Sonyeondan and behind the scenes so you have to sift through irrelevant posts?? No, I get it. I feel your pain. Tumblr can be a lawless place sometimes 😭.

But honestly, knowing that my posts don’t bother you means a lot because I really do try to be mindful. I know I post a lot about my fic, and not everyone’s going to love that, but at the same time… I want my stories to actually reach people. omg. so I realised that after I drew Chaz/TOBOR content one time that i haven’t actually shared how important they are to me. erm. so I have made a silly little document of background/headcanons that could have been pages long but I didn’t want to be TOO insane.

They became friends because we were friends and it was like dragging our children along to a function and being like “ok now go play w the other kids” lol. lmao.

We both have OCs x canon with the robots so that's pretty much where it all started from- I probably won’t do a whole timeline at least for now but basically Makoto, Naomi (Louie’s OC) and Vivian (Chippy’s OC) would all spend time together regularly until they started inviting the bohs along

TOBOR was. a bit suspicious of Chaz at first since he had some pretty bad trust issues when it came to humans, and also because that’s usually the normal reaction to meeting Chaz, but he honestly wasn’t super phased by it. Chaz was used to people being kinda cold towards him yet also had a tendency to latch onto them anyway. Even though he spent hours actively trying to annoy him and talk about bike mechanics, which was pretty much just his attempt at being friendly and having fun- the biggest thing for TOBOR was that Chaz would never use the fact that he was a robot against him. Like he would never treat him like any less of a person, to Chaz he literally was just Some cool dude with a green head

Even when they become like Friend friends they still are surprisingly careful around eachothers’ boundaries. Tbh a lot of their relationship is built off things most people wouldn’t expect from them, as in the two scary bitch boys are actually very respectful of eachother and keep secretz and look out for the other n their bffs. It’s not OOC if we make the chars. IDGAF

They actually didn’t think they’d get as close as they did: TOBOR and Chaz essentially see eachother as brothers at this point, since they (mostly through accident) found out they had a surprising amount in common, with the way people kinda assumed stuff about them beforehand and were not the nicest . Chaz considers him one of his best friends bc he is CRINGE and is still constantly out to annoy him but at this point TOBOR just effortlessly shows him up. Chaz also likes to bully him on account of he hearts Vivian and you know what who doesn’t. They both got parental issues too which they also kinda relate to each other with; sometimes there will be stuff between them that they tease eachother for RELENTLESSLY, but if anyone else were to bring it up at all they would be killed within the second. TOBOR tends to stick up for Chaz a lot since he is more naïve and struggles to see when people are actually trying to upset him instead of just being Chaz Haterz for fun. Defending people and having their backs is his love language.

There is also a whole thing in the future with him/Makoto being more closely associated with the Delarosarenas but I don’t want to overshare or b cringe but Kerry literally adores TOBOR and the fact he loves cooking :> he simply IS her new son and she displays interest in hiring him one day. If the lab thing doesn’t work out. Which it is not. Again they r like BROTHERS make no mistake we do not ship them.

Dont fucking talk to me like that. I draw sometimes and try very hard to make art! Unfortunately, the brain I'm using is kind of stupid and broken and it doesn't do what I tell it to do. Working on getting a new one, but it's just not going according to plan.

As for what kind art I tend to make, I'm very experimental with my work! Expecting consistency from me is a bad idea. I get bored of the same ideas quickly and bounce around a ton. I LOOOVE character design and character writing in particular!! i have so many stories and concepts, you have no idea. Anything character/story-oriented is a major favorite subject of mine.

I'm hoping to get around to game development, web design, animation, music production, 3d stuff, and more! Just need to kind of kick myself to the finish line u know

My interests fluctuate so often that i generally can't fully pin one down as if it's consistently present.

There's hardly any pattern in what I gravitate towards, other than the single qualifier of whether the piece of work contains a token character for me to latch onto who is outwardly antagonistic and/or bitter towards everyone in the cast. Everything else is mostly irrelevant in quantifying how much i will enjoy a thing. this isn't an end all be all, though!! its less of a rule and more of a pattern.

I understand u don’t want to continue this convo (bran and Arya are mean comment) that being said I also just wanted to thank you for being level headed? Like I started out a couple months ago full on AryaFan (0 social media for asoiaf before) and I followed like 5-10blogs that love her! I was excited but then they argued with ghosts in the tags “I keep seeing this awful take” and I just was like astounded they would use so much energy to argue and be like a reason to start disliking the fandom

ah I think tbh all of fandom has a tendency towards this and I won't even say I've never made that kind of 'i keep seeing this take' post before - when you know that a certain kind of take exists and you've seen it enough times, sometimes you're reminded of it and you want to explain your own opinion apropos nothing in particular, just to drown out that noise wherever it might be. like this definitely isn't unique to Arya fandom, and I'd say I've seen just about everyone I follow make one - again me included

but I do think it can get ridiculous when half ur blog is just fighting other users (or indeed invisible takes when other users aren't providing enough content to fight over), building some narrative that you're the most persecuted section of fandom and why is it that only you understand this character and that issue, and every time someone shares their opinion on your fave it's like they're stepping on your turf and you've got to come down on them like an anvil so they know who's in charge around here and it feels right and honourable when you're doing it but in reality you just look way too online.

BUT again this is a problem everywhere, I've blocked people in my own parts of fandom who I feel have too much of a tendency to constantly blog like this and I have talked to others about how we want to avoid falling into the same pit lol. it makes for a bad fandom ecosystem and like you say it discouraged you from enjoying fandom when you encountered it!

but also Arya is a great character and there are so many great Arya fans. some of the fanart and edits and meta on Arya is the best in fandom and really enrich my enjoyment for her POVs on rereads. I know the asoiaf tags can be a cesspit sometimes but I think the best thing you can do is just post the kind of stuff you want to see and you will draw others to your blog and you can encourage that kind of fandom culture amongst urselves.

Social media isn’t just for selfies, memes, or sliding into DMs anymore—it has become a game-changer for public health communication.

Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X have shifted from being places for personal interaction to becoming tools for sharing vital health information and rallying communities into action. I mean, if you lived through the COVID-19 pandemic, you know how much these platforms became lifelines for staying updated and feeling connected. But, of course, it’s not all sunshine and life-saving hashtags—there’s a darker side to using social media for health, like misinformation spreading faster than a viral dance trend and big questions about privacy.

Let’s start with the good stuff—social media’s power to inspire action on a massive scale. Remember the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge back in 2014? It was one of the first moments we all realized just how big these platforms could be for public health campaigns. People everywhere were dumping freezing water on themselves, tagging their friends, and donating to ALS research. It wasn’t just a trend; it raised $115 million in six weeks and put ALS (a disease a lot of people hadn’t even heard of before) on the map (Camero, 2023). It’s wild to think a simple idea could go viral like that and bring in both awareness and funding. Social media literally turned a grassroots campaign into a global movement.

Fast forward to COVID-19, and social media took on a whole new level of importance. When everything felt chaotic, platforms became essential for sharing updates, and keeping people in the loop. Apps like Malaysia’s MySejahtera were lifesavers, tracking infections, vaccination records, and safety guidelines all in one place. They showed how tech could help streamline public health efforts and reach people wherever they were. Plus, health organizations could use social media to speak directly to the public and adjust their messages in real time (Suarez-Lledo & Alvarez-Galvez, 2021). And let’s not forget all those TikTok dances teaching us how to wash our hands properly. Who knew hygiene could go viral in more ways than one?

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. The COVID-19 pandemic also highlighted some major issues with using social media for health communication. Misinformation spread like wildfire. Seriously, there were wild claims about fake cures, exaggerated vaccine side effects, and straight-up conspiracy theories. It’s scary because this stuff wasn’t just annoying—it caused real harm by making people hesitant to get vaccinated or follow safety measures. Platforms tried to fight back with fact-checking and flagging false content, but it felt like a never-ending game of whack-a-mole. Honestly, we need more proactive strategies to tackle this, like better education on spotting fake news and partnerships between health authorities and social media companies (Tan, 2022).

Then there’s the issue of privacy. Like, we all kind of know social media collects our data, but when it comes to health apps like MySejahtera, it gets way more personal. These apps helped so much during the pandemic, but they also collected tons of sensitive health info. And that raises big questions: How is this data being stored? Who has access to it? Could it be misused? It’s a little scary to think about. If public health campaigns want to keep people’s trust, they need to get real about data transparency and security (Akinsanmi & Salami, 2021). Nobody wants their health data floating around in the wrong hands.

Looking ahead, the future of public health communication is definitely going to lean even more on digital strategies—and honestly, that’s kind of exciting. Social media influencers, for example, have so much potential to make health campaigns more relatable and effective. Think about it: if your fave content creator talks about mental health or promotes a campaign like “R U OK?” it hits differently than a random ad or government PSA. You trust them. You listen. That’s the magic of influencers—they connect on a personal level.

Visual storytelling is another area where social media shines (Varicak, 2023). Infographics, TikToks, and Instagram Reels are perfect for breaking down complicated health info into bite-sized, shareable pieces. And let’s be real, we’re all more likely to engage with a cool animation or quick how-to video than a wall of text. Public health campaigns can totally tap into this, using these tools to get their messages across in a way that feels modern and engaging.

But with great power comes great responsibility (shoutout to Uncle Ben for that wisdom). Social media’s potential is massive, but so are the risks. Public health leaders need to focus on three big priorities: fighting misinformation, protecting user privacy, and making sure everyone has access to digital tools, no matter their background or circumstances. It’s a lot, but the lessons we’ve learned—from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to the pandemic—can help guide the way.

In the end, social media has completely transformed how we talk about and tackle public health issues. It can connect people, amplify campaigns, and inspire real change. But to use it responsibly, we’ve got to address the challenges head-on. If we can figure out how to balance the opportunities and risks, social media can keep building healthier, more informed communities around the world. And honestly? That’s a future I’m excited to see.

I see u sometimes reblog stranger things stuff, was wondering if you can share some opinions on it? Any strong opinions on the mileven vs byler war

Lol I knew somehow when I put on my Stranger Things sweatshirt today that I would get this ask lol. Super fun question, thanks for asking! I love talking about any of my other fandoms. I've been pretty involved in the Stranger Things fandom from the jump, I liveblog every new season which you guys do not have to worry about for a while but you can totally backread my ST tags (melissa liveblogs st and melissa on stranger things) for my content or feel free to blacklist if you don't want to see it. I was also active in a few discords for Stranger Things and It, so if you were in any of those you might've seen me around. Met some great people, a few of which are still active on here @sorenserotonin and @milfnightshade loyal mutuals 🫡 who I always appreciate. I'll tag them in case they feel like returning to discussing Stranger Things with me like old times lol.

As for byler and mileven, I don't have super strong opinions. The two mutuals I tagged are both byler shippers (actually I forget if Deidre is, I'm pretty sure). EDIT: DEIDRE IS NOT! I personally have always been into mileven, they were the heart of the first season to me in a way that's really unmatched. The following seasons they have had their really moving moments, particularly for me the third season, but never the same spark as that first season. I do think they are endgame though, because that's just the path the show is on. I don't think the narrative makes sense without them, and wether that is effective writing is a whole separate post. That being said, I will always always never have beef with an lgbtq ship in any fandom, unless it's with a very unhealthy character and I think the ship is straight up abusive. Fandom is a largely queer space because we create the content we lack. That's important and should be respected regardless of ship wars (and I'm a person that gets into those lol). I have a dear friend who will ship anything as long as it's two women, even if they never interacted. I've never understood this. I want the writing to be strong and the relationship to be healthy. But I understand why she feels the way she feels and I'd never judge her, that's what fandom is for.

Some other Stranger Things opinions; I think the writing really has suffered since the first season. It is still a great show, but they struggle with consistency in their characters which is a huge issue for me. They also cave to fandom, which is another huge pet peeve of mine.

I also think Billy Hargrove is one of the most damaging popular characters in a long time, in terms of fandom and the impact on culture. I might just be biased however, I'm on some Billy fans blocklists.

This season was the best one by far since the first. I know that's a hot take, but I think it's true.

Max and Lucas were the only characters who were effectively developed and utilized this past season, which was a breath of fresh air for them to not waste Caleb McLaughlin again.

I do not like Jonathan Byers, but that being said the time for stancy has long come and gone and returning to it is insane.

Oh, final take, we've been giving the Duffers far too much credit for Robin as a character when a lot of it should go to fav nepotism baby Maya Hawke.
