i know for some people, having a story jump from multiple povs, including relatively minor characters, is a bit much and unnecessary to them but i actually revel in it, like it’s one of my most favorite things ever in a book. just depends on the genre, i guess.

#❣️#i first discovered my love for it in the skybound saga by alex london (that series is EPIC)#and then i fell in love with it even more in the greenbone saga by fonda lee #seeing it here with the nathaniel cade series is like such a huge rush because it just makes things so intense idk how else to explain it rn #it works a lot in fantasy/thriller type stories i think #tal bauer did a stellar job of it as well in ‘stars’#then there’s also ‘the child thief’ by brom #a much more lighthearted example would definitely be the dangerous damsels series by india holton #all of these books listed here include such a range of different perspectives and #the way these authors utilize it adds even more to the chaos that is the plot #it’s amazing #booklr
