my favorite hot dog joint in undergrad was this greasy, actively gross little hole in the wall near campus that guy fieri went to once. it was my comfort food. discovering they do carryout was the best day of my life. they have this one hot dog - and i know this sounds gross but bear with me - that had mayo, sauerkraut, and shredded cheddar cheese. it was called the hairy brain. i was obsessed with it. well, folks, today i made my very own hairy brain with homemade kraut, and you know something? it is exactly as “what the fuck i guess this is good” as i remember
