You may have heard of OSK. It's a company based in Osaka that performs Takarazuka-style productions.

What if I told you that their equivalent of Sky Stage (where you can watch productions on TV) was available for subscription overseas for 550 yen a month?

BECAUSE IT IS! You can subscribe to the OSK Channel on Nicovideo for that price, via PayPal.

SADLY there are no English translations of their shows, but you don't really need to understand the words to enjoy a revue imo. Full musicals yes, revues not so much.

They have a couple full shows on their official YouTube channel as well, including their version of Me and My Girl! Just go to "videos" and sort by popularity to see them.

Beautiful "The first otokoyaku" Mizunoe Takiko with her stage partner (right), about 1930. Mizunoe Takiko was the first woman in Japan who cut her hair for male role. In 1930 she became the top-star otokoyaku of Shochiku Kagekidan (all-female theatre) and one of the most popular Japanese actress. *This is NOT Takarazuka. This is Shochiku Kagekidan (SKD 松竹歌劇団). Mizunoe Takiko wasn"t takarazuka actress.

posting in the main takarazuka tag in hopes that someone more worldly than I will see this— anyone have any experience buying tkz tickets post-covid (either at the grand theater or Tokyo theater)? The in-person box offices seem to be closed, and I’m not having much luck buying them through the official web page. has anyone had any luck getting tickets in recent history? I’m grateful for any advice or insights y’all might have. Thanks girlies 💖

This is, I believe, a very young Amatsu Otome (天津乙女). She premiered in 1918 and was with the company until her death in 1980.

Huis Ten Bosch Revue Academy ハウステンボス歌劇学院　４期生入学式　4th Graduating Class Entrance Ceremony Video in Above Link

Entrance ceremony was held May 24th, 2017 for ハウステンボス歌劇学院　Huis Ten Bosch Revue Academy for 13 girls aged 18~22 years. The school was created in 2014, to train girls to become future revue performers for the all-female revue company ハウステンボス歌劇団 Huis Ten Bosch Revue , which was formed around Takarazuka OGs in 2013. The girls were selected through paper examination and practical examination (Dance, singing) from all over Japan. They will take classes  for 1 year in Singing, dancing, acting, and general education while living in dorms. After the first year, they will make their stage debut and become trainees 研修生for the company.

The Company regularly performs inside the ハウステンボス　Huis Ten Bosch Theme Park (Nagasaki, Japan) and ラグーナテンボス　Laguna Ten Bosch Theme Park (Aichi, Japan). The company currently has 3 teams, 光 Shine,　華 Flower, and 心 Heart, and special team called Blue Rose led by Takarazuka OG Yuuga 優雅 (Formerly 研ルイス Ken Ruisu）

In the “The Takarazuka II” series of books, each troupe did a “fantasy stage” photo shoot where they dressed up in costumes from a famous movie, tv series, etc.  Tsukigumi did “Interview With the Vampire."  Above is Makoto Tsubasa as Lestat, Dan Rei as Claudia, and Shibuki Jun as Louis.

my greatest fear came to life today T^T 

Miya Rurika’s is leaving the Takarazuka Company her last performance will be June 9th, 2109 (月組 東京宝塚劇場公演千秋楽). I’m so sad... I had this bad feeling yesterday when I was re-watching ‘Grand Hotel’ and ‘Talk Request DX’ with Miya & Suzukaze Mayo aaaaand I knew that it would happen eventually but... 。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

I’m not happy that here last stage will be a wamono one... because she isn’t the wamono type... ahhhhhh 

I just hope she continues and won’t just disappear!! I think she is going in the model direction but I really, really want her to be an actress as well!!  。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

hi, zuka noob here. i don't have any friends who have sky stage in japan but i'm really desperate to get my hands on a recording of a really obscure show from the 90s which vhs seems to be non existent, but is apparently on sky stage's list of shows. do you know if there are any zuka fans who like. accept money to record a show because i dont have anything to trade with but i'll gladly just pay someone to record this show for me.

Happy to ask the crowd. Any takers?
