Not A Burden
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - “You’re not a burden”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first thing that set you off, was when Takeru woke up at nine.
Takeru woke up around five to six every morning. Five when he had school for most of the day and six on other days.
He woke up, brushed his teeth and showered before getting dressed, eating breakfast then leaving for school.
There was no school today, it had snowed during the night so school was canceled.
It still confused you though when Takeru came out of the bedroom with his back hunched and hand rubbing his eyes.
He was still in his pajamas and his hair was all over the place. It would have been cute, if Takeru’s nose and cheeks weren't red and voice wasn’t rough as shit.
“Goodmorning love”, you said. The second was that Takeru didn’t want breakfast.
You watched Takeru as he opened the fridge and took out a carton of orange juice.
You watched with a concerned look on your face as Takeru opened the carton and drank it for a few seconds before putting it back.
“You making breakfast?” Takeru said, voice low and rough, more than normal since he did just sleep for three more hours.
Though Takeru had mentioned it he seemed spaced out and uninterested. “Yeah, why don’t you sit on the couch and wait, I’ll call you when it’s done”, you said.
Takeru nodded, rubbing his eyes before walking over to the couch. Normally, Takeru loved pancakes, what you were cooking for breakfast.
He would stand next to you and stare at them as you cooked them. You watched him walk over to the couch till he sat down.
You turned your gaze back to the stove, flipping the pancake over to cook on the over side.
The third and final thing that said something was wrong with Takeru was his sleep.
Soon you heard two more things make their way out of the bedroom. “Y/n”, your digimon said. Moving to stand next to you as you cooked.
“Hello, d/n. Hello Patamon”, you said. Patamon greeted you back and sat on the kitchen counter next to the stove.
They looked worried so you asked them what was wrong.
“Takeru didn’t sleep well last night. He kept groaning and whimpering and tossing and turning”, Patamon said.
Making your worry worse.
You noticed that. Takeru did seem to roll a lot last night. Something that he doesn’t normally do.
You just thought he was having a nightmare, or was just more energetic. Though it seemed like something else was wrong.
You took the pancake off the stove and placed it on the pile or pancakes. You turned off the stove and put the pan and spatula in the sink.
“Takeru!” You yelled, “Breakfast if ready!” You waited a few moments. You walked over to the couch after not hearing anything for a few minutes.
When you turned the couch you found Takeru laying down on the couch fast asleep. You smiled sadly.
You kneeled in front of the couch and ran your hand through Takeru’s hair. His hair was tangled yet soft.
You rested your hand on Takeru’s forehead. It was hot, just what you thought.
Looks and feels like Takeru’s was sick.
Patamon and your digimon had followed you over to the couch. Your digimon rested on the arm of the couch near Takeru’s feet and Patamon was on the back of the couch.
Looking down at Takeru. “Is he okay?” Patamon asked. “He’s sick, don’t know what he has and it doesn’t look bad", you stood up.
"For now he just needs rest and some over the counter meds”. You walked over to the bathroom and opened the cabinet.
You pulled out a thermometer and some pills. You stared at the pills, now that you thought about it.
It makes sense that Takeru was sick. He was acting sluggish yesterday, didn’t really eat and fell asleep in class.
Or that’s what Takeru told you. But if he was feeling bad why didn’t he tell you? You had asked multiple times but he just brushed you off.
You walked out of the bathroom and back to Takeru to find him in the same spot he was.
Patamon was now on the arm rest near Takeru’s head. Still watching him with a concerned look on their face.
You placed the stuff in your hands on the coffee table. “Hey Takeru”, you said, placing your hand and lightly shaking Takeru.
“Wake up darling”, you said. This time Takeru rolled over, mumbling something before blinking his eyes open.
“Y/n”, Takeru mumbled. Slowly sitting up and rubbing his eyes, turning so his legs were over the edge of the couch.
You reached behind you and picked up the thermometer. “Open”, you said. Holding the thermometer in front of Takeru.
Takeru blinked a few times, “why?” Takeru said, reaching up to push the thermometer away. “Nope”, you grabbed his hands, “just do it please”. Takeru rolled his eyes and opened his mouth.
You put it in and you both waited till it beeped. You took out the thermometer, “102.4, you have a fever”, you said.
Putting down the thermometer and picked up the pills. You opened the bottle and dumped a few pills into your hands.
“Here”, you said. Takeru looked at the pills, “I’m fine”, Takeru said. You rolled your eyes, “no you’re not, you have a fever. You probably had it yesterday too”, you said and Takeru tried to glare at you.
Tried.
His eyes were lidded and he was swaying back and forth a bit.
“It’s fine Takeru, you're sick so what. There’s no school today so I can take care of you and you can stay home till you feel better. Patamon can even keep you comfortable”, you said.
Patamon quickly agreed with you. Patamon flew to sit in Takeru’s lap, looking up at him.
Takeru wrapped his arms around Patamon and hugged him. “Now take these”, you held the pills out.
This time Takeru took them and held them in his hands. “I’ll get you some water”, you said.
You stood up and walked to the kitchen to fill a glass with water. You walked back to Takeru and handed it to him before sitting next to him on the couch.
Takeru took the pills before placing the glass on the table. “I’m sorry”, Takeru said.
“What?” You said, not knowing when Takeru would be sorry. “I know you had plans today, now you’re stuck taking care of me”, Takeru said.
You took your phone out of your pocket, you did in fact have plans today.
You were planning to hang out with some friends and see a movie. “I forgot, but it’s fine”, you put your phone on the coffee table.
You looked over at Takeru, “look at me”, you said and Takeru looked up at you.
“I don’t care, “I’ll text my friends and tell them I can’t make it”, you said. “It's fine Takeru, I don’t mind taking care of you. I’m your boyfriend, It's my job”, you scooted closer to Takeru.
You wrapped your arm around Takeru’s shoulder and pulled him closer to you. Takeru rested his head on your shoulder while hugging Patamon.
You kissed Takeru's head, “You’re not a burden”, you said.
Already knowing what Takeru was thinking. You wished Takeru wouldn’t think like that.
Like he had to help others, always be ready to help but never accepting help. Always feeling like he was a burden.
You knew Takeru’s past was to blame, but you couldn’t change that. You could help though.
You leaned back and put your feet on the coffee table. Pulling Takeru into your chest, rubbing your thumb in a circle on his wrist.
“It’s alright Takeru, just rest. I won’t leave”, you said. “Thank you”, Takeru said before yawning and closing his eyes.
You smiled and relaxed back onto the couch. You’d much rather be here than at the movies with your friends anyway.
So you closed your eyes and relaxed, hugging Takeru tighter.
Ignoring your phone as it blew up.

Best Sleep Ever
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - Sleep
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were resting on the couch when you felt something lay on top of you.
You opened your eyes and looked down to see Takeru resting on top of you.
His head was right below your chin, resting perfectly in the middle of your chest. “Welcome back, how was work?”
You asked just to get a groan in response. You leaned your head back and wrapped an arm around Takeru’s waist.
“Want to tell me about it?” You asked. Takeru turned his head so he was facing the back of his couch.
When Takeru didn’t say anything you assumed it was a no. You leaned your head to the side and looked at a clock that was on the wall.
It was around an hour or two after when Takeru was supposed to come home.
He normally comes home around thirty minutes after you, give or take.
You had noticed that Takeru had been working later and going to work later than normally.
You and Takeru try not to work much, seeing as you're both in college.
You should remind Takeru to talk to his boss about his hours, he’s been working too late.
You looked back at Takeru. He had ditched his shoes at the door and rested his hat on a hat rack near the door.
His hair was really ruffled, showing that Takeru had probably run his hand through it a lot. You could feel Takeru’s breathing, it was steady and slow.
His eyes were also closed. “You tired?” You asked and Takeru nodded. “Then why not go to bed?” You asked.
You knew that Patamon and your Digimon were taking a nap in there. They had fallen asleep waiting for Takeru to come home.
Plus, the bed was be better than sleeping on top of you. Takeru hummed before scooting up, turning his head and placing it so his nose brushed against your neck.
“Mmmm, you’re comfier”, Takeru mumbled.
You shivered at Takeru’s breath against your neck, your face turning a little red. You smiled, bringing a hand to play with Takeru’s hair.
“Really?” You pondered, wondering if laying on top of a human was really better than a bed.
Takeru wrapped his arms around you, nuzzling his face into your neck. “Yes, now shut up”, Takeru said before promptly falling asleep.
You let out a quiet laugh, which was harder than you thought with a grown man on your chest. You turned your head and looked down at Takeru.
His head was buried in your shoulder and his arms were snug under your chest.
You moved around a bit before staying still. You knew you had to be quiet and and still.
Takeru needed this sleep.
Though, you had to agree with what Takeru said, this was quite comfortable.
Despite how hard it was to breath, and how you could feel your leg starting to fall asleep.
You liked this. It was like having a weighted blanket over you. Yet, this was better somehow.
Maybe it was because it was Takeru, and you loved Takeru. But being able to feel his stomach rise and fall, feel his breath against your neck.
Feel his skin press against yours, tangling your fingers in his hair. It was perfect.
You leaned your head over and pressed a kiss to Takeru’s head before looking back up and closing your eyes.
“Sweet dreams Takeru”, you whispered before everything fell quiet.
Tumblr media
When Takeru woke up he immediately wanted to go back to sleep.
Takeru slowly leaned up and stretched before rubbing his eyes. “Morning, or is it even evening since it is evening”, Takeru looked down to find you staring back at him.
Takeru quickly realized that he was straddling your waist, well, above your waist but not on your chest either.
Takeru blushed slightly. “You good”, you asked and Takeru nodded. “Yeah, just a little shocked, and why does everything hurt”, Takeru said.
He stretched his arms again but the slight ache was still there. “Guess sleeping on top of someone isn’t as perfect as you said”, you said.
You leaned up and placed your hands behind you. “My legs are basically numb”, you said.
Takeru started moving but you wrapped your arms around Takeru’s waist. “Hey, I didn’t say I wanted you to get off”, you said.
You leaned closer to Takeru and pressed your forehead against his.
“How was your sleep?” You asked, wanting to make sure that Takeru did actually get a good night's sleep.
Takeru thought for a bit, “yeah, maybe one of the better sleeps I’ve had in a while”, Takeru said.
You smiled and kissed Takeru, “great”, you said before pulling away and laying back down. “What about you?”
Takeru asked and you shrugged. “I didn’t sleep, just laid around, watched you sleep", you mused.
But it was pretty comfortable.
"Who knew I would love having you laying on my chest”, you said. You reached up and pulled Takeru back down on your chest.
Takeru squirmed a bit before settling on your chest, his head right above your heart. Takeru closed his eyes as he listened to your heart beat.
It was a rhythmic beating that calmed Takeru, your breaths were also calming. Takeru felt one of your arms wrap around his waist.
Hand slightly gripping the side of his waist. The other went across his back and rested on top of his hair.
Takeru felt your fingers thread themselves in his hair, rubbing his head in small, slow circles.
Takeru could feel the warmth of your body leak into his. He could feel himself getting warm, his body and his face.
Takeru couldn’t deny the blush on his face from what you said.
The thought of you just watching him sleep, not being bored or doing something else. Takeru felt giddy at the thought.
Takeru settled further on your chest, his breathing slowing down. Takeru felt himself getting tired again.
“I know I said I loved the feeling of you on my chest but you better not be falling asleep”, you said.
Takeru laughed as he leaned back up so he was straddling your waist, hands on your chest, feeling your heartbeat and breathing under his hands.
“I won’t, I’m hungry anyway”, Takeru said. You smiled and leaned up, Takeru leaning down to meet you in a kiss.
You pulled away, “good, I’ve been hungry for hours”, you said. Takeru got off your lap and you watched as Takeru walked over to the kitchen.
You’d have to ask Takeru to lay on your chest again, that was probably the best rest you’ve ever gotten.
You stood up and looked over at Takeru as he put something into the microwave.
Plus, Takeru was just too cute when he slept.

Always Be There
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - @sickficideas - Pinterest
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Takeru slammed his head on the desk.
It hurt, but Takeru could barely feel it over the throbbing.
Takeru could hear his head pounding in his ears, it made it hard to listen to his teacher's lecture.
Takeru had hoped that smashing his head on the desk would fix his headache, it didn’t, it made it worse if anything.
Takeru smashed his hands over his ears.
He could hear students converse since it was getting to the end of class.
The teacher was just sitting at their desk, doing nothing, Takeru wished they would do something.
He didn’t have the brain power to listen to his classmates converse about the weekend.
Takeru wanted silence, he knew he wouldn’t get it, but covering his ears was pretty good.
It helped Takeru not want to kill everyone in the room, but it made his headache echo in his ears.
Takeru tried to press his head further into the desk. Either trying to make the room darker or to stop his nose from smelling, either one would be good.
Though, all it really did was make Takeru painfully aware of how hot he was.
Takeru could feel his clothes stick to his back and chest, his legs felt like they were cooking, and now sweat was pooling below his face.
Takeru some days hated the school uniform, today was one of those days.
Takeru had already ditched his jacket, he couldn’t ditch much more of his uniform, so he just had to deal.
So Takeru turned his head to the side, keeping his eyes closed.
His ear was now pressed against the desk, he could hear his heart beat in his ear. It was a lot brighter, but Takeru dealt with it.
It was a little better, Takeru’s face felt a lot cooler than before, except for the cheek that was pressed against his desk.
Takeru could hear the bell ring, which just made him press his hand against his ear harder.
He also heard people leaving the classroom, but Takeru couldn’t bring himself to get up.
His legs felt like jelly and every time he stood up his head was throb even worse and he swore he was going to fall over.
“Takeru!”
Takeru flinched at the loud nose but opened his eyes, he recognized that voice.
He looked towards the door of the classroom to see you standing at the door.
Your bag was slung over one of your shoulders and you were smiling. “Come on, if you don’t get up we’ll be late for your next class”, you said excitedly.
Takeru groaned, he forgot he had his next class with you, and he couldn't deny you with that smile on your face.
So Takeru leaned up, reaching down to pick up his bag as he stood up.
Takeru blinked as he stood up, placing a hand on his desk to steady himself. His vision had spots and his head got worse.
Takeru groaned louder, maybe too loud but he didn’t care. Takeru slowly walked over to you, bowing to his teacher before leaving.
You turned around and immediately started talking about your day. Takeru felt bad about not listening, but he just couldn’t make out any words.
He liked your voice, it made his headache go away slightly, but his body still felt like it was one fire.
Takeru could barely keep up with you, if he went any faster he was sure he was going to fall over or burst out into flames.
Takeru closed his eyes, blinking longer than he should have, but he didn’t care.
Takeru opened his eyes and reached his hand out, grabbing your wrist. You stopped talking, Takeru could hear that much.
Takeru pulled your hand up and pressed it against his cheek.
Takeru moaned, your hand wasn’t that cool, but it was cooler than Takeru’s face.
Takeru closed his eyes and nuzzled his cheek against your hand. “Jesus, why are you so hot?” You said.
You walked closer to Takeru, noticing how pink his face was, and how hot his cheek was.
Takeru opened his eyes slightly, looking at you coy-like smile. “You think I’m hot?” Takeru said and your face got pink.
“Oh you know what I mean, or maybe you don’t, why’d you’d come to school being this hot”, you said.
You didn’t know how hot someone had to be to be sick, but Takeru was definitely hotter then he should be.
You reached up and placed your other hand on Takeru’s forehead, pushing past his bangs to rest your palm against his forehead.
That felt hot too, and Takeru closed his eyes again, pressing his forehead against your hand.
“You’re sick”, you said, a little too loudly for Takeru’s liking. You moved your hand down to rest it against Takeru’s other cheek.
Takeru sighed in bliss but you frowned at him.
“Why did you come to school”, you said while moving Takeru’s head with your hands.
You moved Takeru’s head left and right to keep him awake. “I’m fine, plus, I have a test today”, Takeru mumbled.
“You can’t take a test like this, no wonder you looked like you were about to pass out earlier”, you said.
Takeru wanted to argue, but he found his brain empty.
His body was still hot, and all of your talking wasn’t helping with his headache, but having your hands on his cheeks did make Takeru feel better.
Takeru slouched forward against you, his head right on your chest. You frowned again, “come on, I’m taking you back home”, you said.
Takeru groaned, shaking his head in protest
“Sorry, but I can’t let you stay like this”, you moved your hand to rest it on Takeru’s head. “Just rest, I’ll get you home safe and sound”, you said.
Takeru closed his eyes, taking your advice and falling asleep.
Tumblr media
When Takeru woke up, he felt a lot better.
It was quiet and dark, which made Takeru’s head not throb, actually, Takeru’s head didn’t hurt that much.
Takeru rolled over and blinked open his eyes, he recognized this place. He was in his apartment, but how?
Takeru groaned and slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes.
“Oh, you're awake”, Takeru looked over to see you walking past his couch. You placed something on the table and kneeling down on the floor.
“How you feeling?” You asked. Takeru blinked, he still felt hot, probably because of the blanket over him.
His head didn’t hurt as much, “pretty good, what happened?” Takeru aside, he couldn’t remember much, just something about having a hand on his cheek.
“You’re sick, and for some reason you decided to come to school”, you said with a glare.
Takeru laughed sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. He remembers that, but he has a test, what time was it anyway!
Takeru looked around, finding a clock and reading it. “Hey, calm down, you can take the test later”, you said, running forward and placing a hand on Takeru’s shoulder.
“I took you to the nurse after you fell asleep, they sent you home because you were sick and you were excused from the test, you’ll take it once you get better”, you explained.
Takeru calmed down and nodded, that would be fine. “But why are you here?” Takeru asked and you looked away.
“We’ll, I volunteer to take you home since your mother wasn’t here, and you needed someone to take care of you since you're so great at that”, you glared at Takeru so he rolled his eyes at you.
“So I decided to stay to take care of you”, you said. Takeru blinked, you had stayed to care for him?
Takeru doesn’t remember the last time someone had cared for him. He normally just does it himself.
Seeing as his mother was out, his brother didn’t live with him, and that Takeru was used to caring for himself.
Takeru felt his stomach get all giddy at the action.
Takeru kinda remembers what happened before he fell asleep.
How you had cradled his face, caring for Takeru so much that you had convinced him to admit he was sick and take him home and care for him, missing school yourself.
Takeru looked down at you, reaching forward and wrapped his arms around you. “Thank you, Y/n”, Takeru said.
You wrapped your arms around Takeru, moving to sit on the couch next to Takeru.
“You’re welcome, Takeru”, you said. You let go and pushed Takeru back down on the couch, “go back to sleep, you still need rest”, you said.
You stood up and covered Takeru with the blanket. Takeru grabbed the blanket and pulled it up to his chin.
Takeru looked up at you, he looked like a child. With the blanket up to his chin, curled up in a fetal-like position and hope in his eyes.
“Will you still be here?” Takeru asked, voice low and soft. You leaned down, kissing Takeru’s forehead.
“Yes, I’ll still be here, I’ll be here for as long as you need me”, you said. Takeru smiled before closing his eyes and falling asleep. You pressed one more kiss on Takeru’s forehead.
“I’ll always be here for you”.

Missing You
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Prompt - "Your home early"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You’re home early?”
You said as he stood in the doorway. Takeru shuffled on his feet before walking into the apartment. Takeru took off his shoes and his jacket, asking you how your day went.
“It went fine, not many classes today but why are you home early?” You asked. You had less classes than Takeru today so you were home earlier than him.
He wasn’t supposed to be home in a few hours but here he was. “Well, the professor called out, so I left”, he said. Sitting on one side of the couch and placing his hand next to him.
A silent invitation for you to sit next to him.
You took it and sat next to Takeru with an incredulous look on your face. Takeru scooted closer to you and laid his head on your shoulder. You furrowed your brows, “What really happened?”
You asked, wrapping your arm around Takeru’s waist. Takeru looked ahead at the blank Tv, “nothing”, he said. Takeru shuffled in your grasp till he was comfortable.
You rolled your eyes and held Takeru tighter.
“You’re not a good liar”, you said. Takeru glared at your reflection. He cuddled more into your side and let out a long sigh. He closed his eyes as they felt heavy.
"Who said I was lying", Takeru said.
Takeru wrapped his arms around your chest and held you. Takeru moved down till he was laying in your lap. His face in your stomach and arms around your waist.
You watched with a confused face as Takeru made himself comfortable on your lap. Once Takeru stopped moving you started to play with his hair.
Takeru smiled, he could feel your breaths and it calmed him. “So why did you come home early?” You asked again, hoping this time you’d get an answer.
Takeru squirmed around till he was facing up. You leaned over him so you could look Takeru in the eyes. You both stared into each other’s eyes till Takeru spoke.
“I missed you”, he said.
With work and school it was hard to hang out. Most of the time you and Takeru just ate and slept together. Which Takeru loved, but he wanted to hang out with you.
Watch movies, cuddle, talk, play, everything. So that’s why he ditched school. You smiled and let out a little laugh. Takeru glared at you, “hey, I ditched school for you and you laugh at me”, Takeru said angrily.
Takeru rolled over so he was facing the Tv, though he was still in your lap. He crossed his arms and glared at you through the reflection. You stopped laughing.
“Sorry”, you wrapped your arms around Takeru and pulled him into your chest. “I’m sorry but that’s really cute”, you said. Takeru blushed and turned around to face you.
“Good to know that you appreciate what I do for you”, Takeru said. Arms still crossed over his chest. “I always do”, you said. Leaning down to press a kiss on Takeru’s nose.
Takeru’s nose scrunched up as he smiled slightly. Takeru rolled back over to bury his face in your stomach. You hummed and wrapped your arms around Takeru.
You held him tighter and Takeru did the same. You leaned down and pressed a kiss on Takeru’s head. Takeru heard you turn on the Tv, though he wasn’t listening to what you had put on.
He closed his eyes, this is what he had missed.

Prompt - Choosing fitting flowers for the other
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn’t know why you were here.
Yamato was having girl troubles, specifically he wanted to get flowers for someone but didn’t know where to start.
So he asked Takeru if he could help. Takeru accepted, and had asked you to come along as well.
You didn’t know why, you didn’t have much experience with picking flowers. You never found an appeal with it, but Takeru really wanted you to come.
The things you do for your boyfriend.
So here you were standing off to the side as Yamato and Takeru looked at flowers.
You felt a little left out, Takeru and Yamato were talking while you were just, there.
You felt a little out of place in the flower shop too. All the flowers, people, bright lights, and overwhelming smell.
You’ve never really been to one.
You knew that as a guy, you were expected to get flowers for a girl. You weren’t dating a girl though, and Takeru never showed an interest in flowers.
So you’ve never got them. You couldn’t even name half of the flowers in this store.
They did look pretty though, they were flowers in almost every color. The smell wasn’t the best though, the mixing of flower scents was a little too much for you at times.
You let your eyes wander, vaguely listening to what Yamato and Takeru were saying.
That’s when you noticed a group of flowers. They caught your eye, so you wandered away from the other two boys to look at them.
They were blue flowers, six petals, three folded out and three curled in. They were the same color as Takeru’s eyes.
The exact same color, you would know, you spend a concerning amount of time staring at Takeru’s eyes.
Takeru’s eyes were light blue, just like these flowers.
His eyes were a mix of blues, swirling together like the ocean. Takeru’s eyes were like gems, bright, always shining no matter what.
They were mesmerizing.
You couldn’t find the right words to describe them. It was like staring into heaven when looking into Takeru’s eyes.
They say eyes are the window to the soul, and that’s true for Takeru. His eyes always seem to glow when he’s happy, and full of shadows when he’s angry.
It was easy to know what Takeru was feeling, just look into his eyes. They were either calm, stormy, wet, or shining.
Though, these flowers weren’t anything like Takeru’s.
They were pretty, but not as pretty as Takeru’s eyes.
The flower would complement Takeru nicely. His blue eyes already complement his blonde hair, so this flower would do the same.
You looked down at the sign, it said that they are irises. A rare type of iris that is a lighter blue than normal.
It said the typical irises are a deep blue or purple. The irises didn’t have the best smell, so read the sign.
Though you could tell that, they smelt thick and musty, like an old car owned by an even older man.
You continued reading the sign, it said things like where the flower came from, how to grow one and other things.
The one fact that caught your eye though, was what the flower meant.
Irises can mean faith, trust, wisdom, hope, and valor. It was the fourth meaning that caught your attention.
Hope.
Takeru was hope, he was hope personified. This flower meant hope, you felt a little smile form on your face.
Somehow, that made this flower fit Takeru even better. “Y/n?” You looked to your side, seeing Takeru standing next to you. “Oh, you and Yamato done?” You asked and Takeru shrugged.
“Yamato’s having a hard time picking out a flower, I got bored and went to find you and you're all the way over here. Almost didn’t see you”, Takeru said.
You said sorry for wandering off and looked back at the flowers. Takeru looked over at them too.
“Oh, those are pretty, do you like them?” Takeru asked. You reached forward, grabbing a single flower without saying a word.
You then turned to Takeru, reaching up to remove his fedora. Takeru looked at you confused, you ignored the look.
You then placed the flower behind Takeru’s ear before taking a step back. Takeru looked at the flower through the corner of his eye.
He then reached up and touched the flower before looking back at you.
You were admiring Takeru like a work of art.
Cause he was.
The flower did exactly what you thought it would do. It highlighted Takeru’s blonde hair, making both look brighter than before.
It matched Takeru’s eyes perfectly. Takeru’s face got a little red, a light blush making Takeru even more cute.
“What was that for?” Takeru asked and you smiled. You walked a little closer to Takeru, taking him in even more.
“Mmm, just testing a theory”, you said. You reached up and brushed your hand against the flower behind Takeru’s ear.
“It looks good on you”, you said. Takeru smiled slightly, “really?”. Takeru asked and you nodded.
“It’s an irises, did you know that they mean hope”, you said. Takeru’s face went blank, “you know that’s a little cringey right?” Takeru asked and you shook your head.
“It’s not, you're the personification of hope, the flower means hope. It also matches your eyes”, you said.
Takeru blushed more, “So to answer your question, yes, I like this flower. It’s my favorite flower”, you said.
Making Takeru blush more.
“Can I help you?” You turned your head to see an employee looking at you and Takeru.
“Yes, one of these flowers please?” You said, pointing at the irises. The employee nodded and you handed them some yen before they walked away.
You turned around to see that Takeru had taken the flower out from behind his ear. How holding it in his hand while smiling at it.
You walked over and placed Takeru’s fedora back on his head. Takeru smiled and placed the flower into a band around his hat.
“Hey!” You and Takeru looked ahead to see Yamato glaring at the two of you.
“You were supposed to help me find a flower, not get one yourself!” Yamato yelled.
“Hey”, you said, “It’s not my fault that you can’t find a flower. Unlike you I found a flower that perfectly matches my partner”, you said.
Yamato grumbled something before walking away. Takeru laughed, “Be nice, Y/n”, Takeru said and you rolled your eyes.
“What, not my fault he can’t pick a flower”, you said and Takeru nodded in agreement.
Takeru looked over at you, a small smile on his face. You took Takeru in again, yup.
The iris was the perfect match for Takeru.

Hidden Feelings, Written Words
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Prompt - Love Letter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Takeru couldn’t stop his hand from shaking.
This was his third time trying to start writing, third times the charm, right? Takeru took a deep breath and put his pen down.
Takeru leaned back in his chair, now staring at the ceiling. Takeru could feel his heart beat out of his chest.
All because he was trying to write a stupid letter. It all started a few days ago, when Takeru had invited you to hang out after school.
“Why are you staring at me?” You asked, looking up from your homework to meet Takeru’s gaze.
Takeru blushed and quickly looked away. “I-i wasn’t staring at you, I was just zoning out thinking about something”, Takeru said.
You hummed, standing up from your position on the floor. “You’ve been doing that a lot lately, what’s wrong?” You walked closer to Takeru, leaning over him.
Takeru looked away from you, palms getting sweaty. Takeru couldn’t tell you what was wrong.
He couldn’t tell you that he had a crush on you, that he was in fact staring at you.
But Takeru also couldn’t bring himself to lie to you.
“I-i have a crush on someone”, Takeru whispered.
You gasped, “you didn’t tell me, come on Keru, and here I thought I was your best friend”, you said, faking anger.
Takeru slightly flinched at your words, “you are”, Takeru said. Hating the way the words sounded.
“So who is it?” You asked, now leaning against the back of Takeru’s chair.
Takeru tried to keep his face blank, and stop his heart from racing. “I-i can’t tell you”, Takeru said, scared for more than one reason.
Takeru couldn’t risk losing you, he couldn’t risk you leaving him because he liked guys, and he liked you.
“Aw, you can trust me”, you said but Takeru kept quiet. He then reached for a glass of water, trying to calm his nerves.
“Well, seeing how many times I’ve caught you zoning out with me, you must really like them, you should confess”, you said.
Takeru choked on his water, “what?” Takeru said. You walked forward to stand at Takeru’s side.
“I’ve noticed you zoning out whenever we’re together, so much like this girl a lot, you should confess so I can meet her”, you said.
Takeru looked away from you, his heart now heavy from your words.
Yes, he liked his crush very much, but it wasn’t a girl. “I-i don’t know if I shou-” “write them a letter!”, you cut Takeru off.
Takeru looked at you with a confused expression. “Write them a letter”, you said again, now looking at Takeru.
“I’m sure she will love that”, you said. Takeru stuttered over his words, you look so happy.
You looked so excited, so happy that Takeru had a crush. Takeru couldn’t bring himself to say no.
Maybe it would be good for Takeru to get his feelings on a piece of paper.
“Okay, I’ll do that”, Takeru said.
That’s how Takeru got here. Sitting at his desk days later trying to write a love letter to his best friend.
Takeru leaned back up, grabbed the pen, and took a deep breath. Takeru then started writing, getting all his feelings out on the paper.
From how he loved you from first sight, always wanting to be near you, thinking how you looked so handsome.
But also how he could never have you, how you both were only best friends, and how you probably didn’t like guys.
Takeru had to hold back tears as he wrote the letter, he loved you so much.
Takeru wanted to be your boyfriend, he wanted you to be his. Takeru put the pen down and wiped his eyes.
Takeru then looked down at the letter, the paper was full of words, from top to bottom. Takeru smiled, this did feel nice.
It felt nice to think about this.
To get his feelings out in some way, even though you’d never see it. Takeru was about to throw the paper out when the door to his room opened.
“Takeru!” You yelled as you entered the room. Takeru spun his chair around, “Y/n, what are you doing here?” Takeru asked as you shut the door.
“I wanted to see you, it’s been a few days”, you said before noticing the letter in Takeru’s hands.
“Oooh, is that the letter!” You said before running up and snatching the letter out of Takeru's hands.
“Wait!” Takeru yelled, but it was too late. You had started to read the letter, face going from smiling to a blank face.
Takeru took a step back, his heart beating faster than it has ever had.
Takeru closed his eyes and looked away. Fear over taking his mind, what if you hated Takeru?
Takeru couldn’t lose you, Takeru cared about you too much. Takeru couldn’t handle the thought of losing you, if he did?
Takeru wouldn’t know what to do.
“Takeru”, you said. Voice blank and low. Takeru didn’t do anything, barely even hearing what you said.
“Takeru”, you said again. You walked closer to Takeru. When Takeru still didn’t do anything you reached up and cupped Takeru’s cheek.
Takeru opened his eyes and looked at you.
When Takeru met your gaze you leaned closer and pressed your lips against Takeru’s.
Takeru’s eyes widened and his body went tense, before he realized what happened.
Takeru then relaxed and closed his eyes, letting himself melt in your hands. You then pulled away, still cradling Takeru’s cheek.
Takeru couldn’t explain what he was feeling.
He was happy, and shocked, and so many other things that Takeru didn’t even know how to explain.
Tears started slowly falling down Takeru’s face. “Hey”, you said, whipping Takeru’s tears with his thumb.
“I didn’t know I was your crush”, you said and Takeru laughed a bit. “I didn’t know you liked me back”, Takeru said.
You smiled, “only realized after I learned you had a crush. I realized that I really really wanted your crush to be on me”, you said and Takeru laughed.
You smiled even wider, you were happy that Takeru seemed happier now.
You didn’t know why it took you this long to realize that you liked Takeru.
Takeru was really pretty
With his fluffy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, mesmerizing laugh, and contagious smile.
You leaned closer to Takeru and kissed his forehead. “Sorry I made you feel like that”, you said, referencing the letter.
Takeru smirked, “as long as you make it up to me by being my boyfriend”, Takeru said.
You rolled your eyes with a smile, “as you wish, darling”, you said. Which made Takeru blush.
You smiled and pulled Takeru into a hug, holding him close. Takeru smiled uncontrollably, happy that you were finally his and that he was yours.
All thanks to that letter.

Closet Kiss
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Prompt - First Kiss
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was not how Takeru thought he would spend his weekend.
It had started out fine. Daisuke wanted everyone to hang out and everyone agreed. So you all gathered at Daisuke’s house for a sleepover.
It started fine, eating, talking, games, yelling, until Daisuke wanted to play a game.
The game, truth or dare, some American game Daisuke had heard about, nothing out of the ordinary. It was fun too.
Daisuke had to shower with his clothes on, Miyako had to drink hot sauce, Hikari had to do a handstand for as long as possible.
So it was all fun and games till Takeru got picked.
He picked dare and Miyako had dared Takeru to spend seven minutes with you in a closet.
Takeru thought seven minutes was a weird amount of time, and the look on Miyako's face didn't help with Takeru's suspicion.
So Takeru glared at Miyako and she looked back with a knowing and teasing look, she knew what she was doing.
She knew Takeru had a crush on you, and she was milking it.
At first Takeru declined, but somehow he still ended up in a closet with you.
It was small and clothes were everywhere so you and Takeru were pressed against each other.
Takeru tried to keep your gaze away from you, but that was hard. Takeru could see you though the light coming in through the crack in the door.
You had showered about an hour ago, so your hair looked perfect. Your eyes reflected the small amount of light
“Why did Miyako look at you like that?” You asked and Takeru looked away from you.
A slight blush forming on his face.
Takeru hoped you couldn’t see it. Takeru knew why, Miyako, and maybe a few others, were trying to help Takeru confess to you.
Takeru was a bit too scared to, what if you didn’t like him. Did you even like guys? Takeru knew he was gay, but did you like guys, did you like him?
Takeru might have flirted with you a bit, but nothing ever came from it. So now your friends have taken things into their hands, mainly Miyako, but still. “I don’t know”, Takeru said quietly.
You made a noise and leaned back.
You couldn’t go far, but Takeru felt his heart hurt a bit at the action. Were you angry that you were here?
It was quiet for the next few minutes till you leaned closer to Takeru.
“You know, you're really pretty”, you said, making Takeru blush and turn his head to you.
“I’ve never noticed before, but now that I’m seeing you close, you look good”, you leaned back forward and never took your eyes off Takeru.
Takeru didn’t really know what to say, but his palms got sweaty and his heart beat got faster.
“You look good too”, Takeru said with a dry throat. You smirked, “really”, you asked in a teasing tone
Takeru nodded, which made your smirk turn to a smile. “I think I know why Miyako looked at you like that”, you said and that made Takeru nervous.
“I thought it was true, but now I’m sure”, this confused Takeru. You moved forward, your face was closer to Takeru.
Your nose brushed against Takeru’s and you both shared the air in the closet.
“You like me”, you said, your breath ghosting over Takeru’s lips. Takeru blushed, his heart beat going even faster. You stared into Takeru's eyes and he started back.
How the hell did you know!
There's no way you found out, Takeru had experience keeping this to himself, showing a smile when anyone thought something was wrong.
Maybe, you liked him back.
Takeru noticed your eyes glance at his lips and Takeru would be lying if his eyes didn’t glance at your lips.
You smirked and leaned forward, still staring at Takeru's lips.
"Can I kiss you?" You asked.
Takeru flushed and started to stutter. "but where friends", Takeru stuttered out, making you lean closer. "Come on", your breathe ghosted over Takeru's lips.
"A kiss won't ruin our friendship", you said, your breathe still ghosting Takeru's lips.
Takeru whined at the feeling of your breath on his lips. "Okay', Takeru said.
"Please kiss me", Takeru whined out.
You smiled and pressed your lips on Takeru's. Takeru let out a moan as you kissed him, his arms going to wrap around your neck. Your arms went to Takeru’s waist, you pulled him closer to you.
The kiss was soft and quick.
You lead the kiss with care a passion. Takeru loved it. You and Takeru kissed till Takeru pulled away, breathing heavily from the kiss.
You still held Takeru, your thumb rubbing circles on Takeru’s waist. Takeru kept his eyes closed for a few seconds before he opened them.
Takeru looked up at you to see that you were already looking at him. Takeru could tell that you were happy, your eyes showed it.
“Do you like me?” Takeru asked breathlessly.
You let out a little laugh, “of course, why do you think I kissed you”, you said. Making Takeru realize how stupid of a question that was.
“How did you know I liked you?” Takeru asked, his voice quiet.
You looked up, “I mean, you flirt with me almost every day, plus, Hikari said somethings that helped me realize that I liked you”, Takeru was going to have to thank Hikari.
Guess you were more percetive then Takeru thought, and he was better a flirting then he thought.
He was so going to brag about that to Yamato.
Takeru nodded once he realized he hadn't said anything, a smiling forming on his face as he looked back down.
You hugged Takeru back, placing a kiss on Takeru’s head. Takeru wanted to stay like that forever but the doors to the closest open.
“Times up!” Miyako yelled. When Takeru looked around he saw that everyone had a smile on their face.
Like they knew that happened.
Except for Daisuke, he was pouting while Ken tried to cheer him up. You let go of Takeru and walked out of the closet.
But not before whispering something in Takeru’s ear. “We’ll finish this later”, you said with a wink and a smirk.
Takeru blushed, well, now everyone knows what happened in the closet.

Sitting In The Rain
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Prompt - Rain
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You placed your bag down on the ground.
The pitter patter of rain echoed around you as you pulled your umbrella out of your bag.
You heard that it might rain so you brought an umbrella to school, just in case.
You were right.
You zipped your bag back up and picked it up. You threw it over your shoulder and opened your umbrella before stepping out into the rain.
The rain rolled off your umbrella as you walked out of the school's courtyard and out near the street.
You looked both ways before crossing the street, but when you looked right something caught your eyes.
Well, someone.
A boy was leaning against the wall that lined the school's courtyard. His legs were pulled up to his chest and his head was resting on top of them.
He didn’t have an umbrella, he was just sitting in the rain.
You couldn’t see his back and it was hard to see what he was wearing. You wondered if he was homeless or if he was waiting for someone.
You felt sad for him, he was getting soaked, and the rain was only going to get worse.
You looked down at your watch, you had time to ask him what he was doing.
You turned and started walking towards him. It didn’t take a while for you to get to him, he wasn’t that far from the gate.
You walked next to him so your umbrella covered the both of you.
You noticed he had blond hair and was wearing the school uniform. You also noticed how soaked he was and that he was shivering.
After a while he raised his head and looked up, probably wondering why the rain wasn’t hitting him.
He looked over at you once he realized you were standing there. His eyes were blue, that was the first thing you saw. His eyes were a shade between light and dark blue.
They looked really pretty, he looked really pretty.
Though his hair was sticking to his forehead and he was soaking wet. He was still really pretty. You felt your face heat up just by looking at him.
“Everything alright?” The boy asked. You shocked your head, “I should be asking you that question. You're the one sitting in the rain”, you said.
The boy let out a laugh before looking back ahead. His laugh and light and airy, you wanted to hear it again. “So, are you alright?” You asked.
The boy turned to look at you, “I’m fine. Just waiting for my brother to pick me up and I forget an umbrella”, he said.
“Didn’t you hear the weather this morning”, you said.
“I didn’t think it would rain this and early and this much”, the boy turned his head towards the road, “in retrospect, it seems like I was proven wrong”.
You looked towards the road, the rain had gotten heavier over the past few minutes of you standing here.
“Why didn’t you wait in the school?” You asked, moving to stand facing the road.
It was quiet for a few seconds, “good question, had come out here when it was only raining a little then it got worse. I just sat and didn’t move, too busy thinking”, he said.
“Thinking about what?” You asked. The boy immediately tensed up and looked away from you. You felt bad for asking, clearly it wasn’t a good thing.
You looked away from him and sat down next to him.
You sat with your legs crossed so they were still under the umbrella some.
You felt your pants and back get soaked but you didn’t really care. You wanted to comfort the boy that was clearly not okay next to you.
You had noticed his face was wet, and that he had tear tracks. He was clearly crying. “I’m Y/n L/n”, you said.
The boy looked over towards you, “Takeru Takaishi”, Takeru said, holding his hand out for you to shake.
You shook Takeru’s hand before he looked away again. He put his head on his knees again and it was quiet.
You looked down at your watch, it was later now, you had to be home in ten minutes. Yet, you couldn't bring yourself to leave.
Takeru was obviously sad about something, you don’t sit in the rain for nothing.
You looked at Takeru, his arms were wrapped around his legs and his head was just resting on his knees, chins on knees.
He looked so sad when you looked at him for the first time, you wanted to help but you didn’t know how to help.
Takeru was a stranger, you've seen him around school now that you thought about it.
He was on a basketball team if you remembered correctly. With all of that though, you felt your heart race when you looked at him.
You never believed in love at first sight but maybe it was true
“What are you doing?” Takeru asked, turning his head to look at you, head still resting on his knees.
“I wanted to make sure you were okay, I’ll feel like a jerk if I just leave you here in the rain. You could catch a cold!” You said it like it was common knowledge.
Takeru smiled at you, you felt your heart race when he smiled. His eyes were closed and his teeth weren’t showing yet it seemed so happy.
You smiled back at him, “thank you”, Takeru said. “Of course, I’ll wait with you till your brother gets here”, you said.
Takeru smiled and leaned back up, leaning against the wall next to you.
You did the same, and you and Takeru fell into a comfortable silence.
The rain slowed down till it was a light drizzle.
The rain cleared from the streets and you and Takeru fell into small conversations. Takeru was a really nice guy, he was funny and sarcastic.
You found yourself laughing or smiling at almost anything he said.
Plus, Takeru looked really nice when he laughed and smiled. You felt your face get red once you realized that you were the reason Takeru was happier.
You really wanted to ask him on a date but you were scared. He might not even like guys.
Soon you saw a man on a motorcycle pull up. He stopped in front of you and Takeru and removed his helmet.
He looked kinda like Takeru, had the same blonde hair but lighter and blue eyes.
“Sorry I’m late Takeru”, he said. Takeru stood up and you did the same.
“It’s fine Yamato”, Takeru turned to look back at you. “The wait was nice”, he said with a smile. “You’re welcome”, you said with a small bow.
Takeru smiled, “yeah”, he said. Takeru walked over to you and kissed you on the cheek.
Your face got red instantly
“Thank you Y/n”, Takeru whispered before walking away. You watched with a shocked look on your face as Takeru got on the back of the motorbike.
“See you later Y/n”, Takeru said before putting on his helmet. His brother did the same and soon they were speeding off.
You raised your hand and touched the cheek that Takeru had kissed.
You smiled and before lowering your hand and turning to walk away. You were looking forward to tomorrow, maybe you can ask him on a date!
The lecture from your parent was worth it.

Admiring The View
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Prompt - Pinterest
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Takeru looked at the sky.
His legs dangled over the side of the roof, swinging back and forth slowly.
Takeru felt the wind blow over him, making his body shiver but Takeru didn’t care.
He couldn’t care less that his body was freezing.
He wanted to reach back and grab his school jacket, which he had ditched early because it was too hot.
Yet, Takeru couldn’t bring himself to move, it was too peaceful.
With the sounds of people running home after a long day of work. The wind reverberated in his ears, blowing through the strands of hair that peaked out from under his hat.
Takeru curled his hands around each other, linking his fingers in an attempt to keep them warm.
Odaiba was weirdly beautiful at night.
The city was light though the lights in buildings. Takeru could make out people, buildings, streets, cars, almost everything even though it was dark.
The lights all around the city lit the city almost as well as the sun. The light reflected over Odaiba bay, a perfect mirror reflection of the sea as the waves crashed against the beaches and boats.
Water swirling around as it moved with the moon that was overhead. Takeru looked up, looking directly at the moon.
It was a full moon.
It shone all over, lighting up the night sky, and you and Takeru. You two were sitting on the roof of Takeru’s apartment building.
It had been a long day of school, getting closer to when you’d and Takeru would be graduating and going to college.
It was a lot, with so much time studying, finding a college, and the Digital World, Takeru found it hard to find time to relax.
Which is why he had loved your idea to hang out. To just chill and act like everything was fine, have a sleepover like when you were kids.
Takeru loved it, he loved coming out on the roof too.
He had done it before, finding peace being this high up, so high up where it felt like his problems couldn’t reach him.
Where it was just him and the vast night sky. He had invited you to come alone, you agreed with a smile and followed Takeru to the roof.
You hadn’t said anything once you both sat, but neither did Takeru so he didn’t say anything about it.
It was nice, even with no words exchanged Takeru felt calmed by the fact you were here.
Takeru hadn’t realized how much he had missed your presence. Just being next to him, Takeru could feel the worry leave his body.
Takeru looked further up at the sky.
Stars covered the entire sky, they were hard to see from the ground but up this high you could see all of them.
Takeru could name a few constellations, he pointed them out in his mind.
Even though he couldn’t name them, he could see shapes and things in the stars.
He didn’t know if they were constellations, but they looked nice. The stars seemed to shimmer over the sky, shining almost as bright at the moon.
Takeru looked forward, taking a deep breath. The air smelt cool, probably a spring chill before summer came.
Takeru closed his eyes and basked in the moment, not realizing that you were staring at him.
You were leaned back, legs over the side of the roof just like Takeru’s, but your arms were back behind you as you leaned on them.
You liked being up here, it was beautiful up here, you had no idea how beautiful Odaiba could be at night.
You were more mesmerized at Takeru though.
The way he just sat on the edge of the roof, a blissful look on his face. The way his hair blew in the wind, even though it was covered by his hat a few stands peeked through.
They blew in the wind, flowing like feathers caught in the breeze.
Takeru looked so comfortable, his jacket that he bought discarded  behind him, you could see that Takeru was shivering, but he didn’t say anything so you didn’t either.
You didn’t want to ruin the moment, you were fine, you still had your jacket on.
Takeru looked like he belonged here, the moon shining down on him as he basked. His face lit by the moon, extenuating his facial features.
Takeru’s face, even though you only had a side view, was heavenly. You smiled, Takeru really did look beautiful.
You had the perfect view too. Being able to just watch Takeru exist was comforting and weird at the same time.
Being able to see this chest rise and fall with each breath, seeing his body shiver ever so slightly from the cold.
Watching him move his eyes around the city and to the sky. You were glad that you agreed to come up here with him.
Takeru turned his head towards you. “What are you smiling about?” Takeru asked.
“Just admiring the view”, you answered.
“You’re staring at me”, Takeru pointed out.
“Like I said, admiring the view”, you mused.
Takeru blushed and looked away. Your smile got bigger, you leaned back up and scooted closer to Takeru.
You pressed your body against Takeru’s, your arm and leg smushed against Takeru’s.
It flooded you with warmth, even though it was cold you could feel your body heating up from the contact.
“What, is a man not allowed to admire his boyfriend~”, you teased. Takeru looked away again, the blush on his face getting deeper.
You laughed, throwing your arm up and wrapping it around Takeru’s shoulders. “I’m just teasing ya”, you said.
Takeru didn’t say anything to that, he just looked back ahead and leaned his head on your shoulder.
You pulled Takeru closer, hugging him tighter like he was going to leave. He wasn’t, not when he was finally feeling warm again.
The cold was getting a bit too much, his nose and cheeks turning pink from the cold.
But being pressed against you filled Takeru with warmth, in more ways than one.
Takeru turned his head and pressed his nose against your neck. You shrieked, “ah shit!” You yelled, pushing Takeru’s head away from you.
“You’re so fucking cold”, you said loudly. “Yeah, I didn’t realize it was going to be this cold”, Takeru said.
You shook your head, “no wonder you were shivering so much”, you said.
You removed your jacket, “Honestly you need to think things through”, you said. You threw the jacket over Takeru’s shoulders.
You then pulled Takeru even closer against your body, pressing his head against your chest.
“Without me you could be an ice pop”, you said. Takeru smiled at your antics.
You were going off about how Takeru was an idiot and he knew that it was cold and how he had even brought a jacket yet he took it off and how he should have mentioned he was cold, and a lot of other things.
Takeru didn’t really listen, he was too busy snuggling closer to you.
Wrapping your jacket closer around him, though it was you that warmed Takeru up the most.
The feeling that here Takeru was thinking how that city was so beautiful yet you were looking at him.
Thinking the same thing. It made Takeru’s heart beat and his stomach fill with butterflies like he was a teenager in love.
Which he was, Takeru was only eighteen and was in his last year of high school, and he was in fact in love.
It just made Takeru smile even more. So Takeru closed his eyes, cuddling closer to you, listening to you talk as he relaxed.
In your warmth.

A Very Pretty Boy
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - Blushing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You laid your head on your desk.
Why did school start so early? You just wanted to sleep for a couple more hours but no, you had to learn math.
If you knew high school was this much worse then middle school you would have pretended to be dumb to be held back.
You tilted your head to the side, staring at the empty desk next to you.
Even worse, it seemed like Takeru was skipping school, lucky.
You took your head off the desk and looked outside the window. Lots of kids were still outside, either loitering before class or playing soccer before school started.
Though you were very far from the grass field. You couldn't see Daisuke playing soccer, but you knew he was.
You just stared out the window, nothing better to do. You didn’t know anyone in the class, only Takeru.
Though you did like to eavesdrop. But you didn’t really feel like doing anything, was it so bad that you wanted to see your boyfriend?
You started to zone out, thinking about sleep and what’s for lunch when you felt something touch your shoulder.
You flinched and turned your head to see Takeru sitting next to you. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you”, Takeru said with a smile.
You smiled back and were about to say something when something caught your eye.
Takeru was pretty, like really pretty.
Well he's always pretty, but today he seemed more pretty. He was wearing a light blue long sleeve shirt and white shorts, you wonder why he wore shorts and a long sleeve shirt since it was spring.
Weird combination.
But the shirt went well with Takeru’s hair, which you could see because Takeru didn’t have his hat.
You always liked when Takeru ditched his hat.
Plus, Takeru just seemed to be really happy, his little smile lit your heart. The light from the window made Takeru’s eyes shine.
His blue eyes shone like diamonds and looked calm like a sea before a storm.
“You okay?” Takeru said while waving his hand in front of your face. You blinked, not realizing that you had zoned out.
“Nothing, you just look really pretty today”, you said before looking away.
Takeru blushed and was about to say something when the professor started talking.
You smiled, knowing Takeru probably looked even cuter when he was blushing.
Tumblr media
Takeru stretched his legs.
Halfway done with school, time for gym. Basketball to be specific. “This time I'm going to beat you”, Daisuke said to Takeru.
Takeru rolled his eyes, “just like you beat me the last five times”, Takeru said with sarcasm lacing his voice.
Daisuke rolled his eyes and walked away, already yelling at his teammates.
Takeru just let out a laugh and continued stretching. “You going to win again”, Takeru looked up to see you standing next to him.
Takeru smiled, “don’t you have class”, Takeru crossed his arms over his chest.
You smirked, “it can wait”, you said. You didn’t really care if you were late, you just wanted to see Takeru
He still looked pretty.
This time he was in his gym clothes. Just a white short sleeve shirt and shorts with red stripes. His hat was off, obviously. The other team had the pennys.
You also wanted to see Hikari, she was on the other side of the gym practicing.
You glanced over to see Hikari talking with her friends but if you glanced up you would see Patamon, Chibimon arguing in the ceiling rods.
You shook your head at them, though you felt a little sad that you couldn’t see your Digimon. Maybe you should skip class and visit them in the digiworld.
Well, you should just wait, everyone was plaing to go to the digiworld today anyway.
Though Takeru hadn’t changed at all since you’ve seen him in the morning, you still thought he was pretty.
Maybe you were more smitten with Takeru today then other days or maybe Takeru was more pretty today then other days.
“You’re going to be late”, Takeru said while leaning up. You smiled, “yeah”, you walked closer to Takeru and kissed him. “You look pretty”, you said before walking out of the gym.
Takeru blushed again.
That was the second time you’ve called Takeru pretty today. Why? Takeru didn’t have much time to think about it before the whistle blew.
Takeru looked away, time to beat Daisuke at basketball, again.
Tumblr media
“Finally”, Daisuke said as he walked into the computer room.
“Finally you're here”, Miyako said with anger in her voice. Daisuke glared at he but said nothing.
“So now we're only waiting for Takeru”, Hikari said. You nodded from where you were sitting.
You were sitting because you didn’t feel like standing. Wasn’t like there weren't enough chairs. Your Digimon was sitting in your lap while you petted them.
They were asleep and you wanted to follow their lead but you had to stay awake.
“How long is Takeru going to be?” Daisuke whined while Miyako glared at him. “Calm down, I’m sure Takeru had a reason for being late”, Lori said.
Both Daisuke and Chibimon glared at the door right as Takeru entered. “Finally, now come on, time for some r&r”, Miyako yelled.
You stood up and looked at Takeru.
He was sweaty from running and he had pulled up the sleeves on his shirt.
You knew that was a bad choice.
Takeru had his hat back on, though you preferred Takeru without his hat, he still looked good in it.
It was Takeru’s classic white bucket hat, you knew Takeru had more though. He also had about six other white bucket hats.
You smiled, still pretty.
You wondered what was so different today but you kinda didn’t care. You walked over to Takeru, “Finally, I was starting to worry”, you said. “Sorry, I just had to do something”, Takeru said.
You leaned closer to Takeru’s ear. “You’re still pretty”, you whispered into his ear, making Takeru even redder.
Takeru was about to ask you something when Daisuke yelled about destroying something and how we were late.
Takeru sighed, guess he was going to ask you later.
Tumblr media
You sighed as you walked.
“I thought it was never going to end”, you said and Takeru could agree with you on that. It seemed like you were never going to leave.
How does that many Digimon get mad at you all, you couldn't count how many times you've saved the Digital World.
But it finally stopped so you and Takeru were walking home since you both lived in the same apartment building, in fact you lived right next to each other.
Lori and Miyako were behind you both, talking about something or other. But Takeru wasn’t really listening to them or you.
He was thinking about what you said, you kept calling him pretty.
You have three times today, not that Takeru didn’t like it.
Takeru felt butterflies swarm in his stomach and his heart beat faster when you called him pretty.
But why did you?
“Hey Y/n?” You looked over at Takeru, “yeah?” Takeru gripped Patamon a bit tighter. “Why did you keep calling me pretty today?” Takeru asked.
You smiled and shrugged your shoulders.
“I don’t know, you're just really pretty, pretty boy”, you said the pet name with a teasing tone making Takeru blush and look away.
You smiled and wrapped your arm around Takeru’s shoulder, pulling him closer.
Your Digimon jumped from your arms and into your open back pack. “Plus”, you leaned closer and whispered in his ear, “I like how you react when I call you pretty”.
Takeru blushed, just the reaction you liked.

When A Handsome Boy Saved My Hat
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Prompt - Asking someone out on a date
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“But then, when he kicked the ball, he kicked it right into my head”, Daisuke said.
Takeru rolled his eyes at what Daisuke said. Everyone was currently walking home from school as Daisuke ranted about what happened during his last soccer practice.
Takeru wasn’t really listening, he was too busy thinking about his up and coming math test.
But that was thrown out of the window when the wind decided it was going to be an ass hole.
The wind picked up, it had been windy the whole day but this was the strongest gust so far.
It had blown Takeru’s hat right off his head.
“My hat!” Takeru yelled as he pushed himself though everyone as he followed his hat.
Takeru stared directly at his hat as it was blown though the wind until Takeru saw a hand grab it.
Takeru let out a sigh and slowed down. Leaning down and placing his hands on his knees as he breathed heavily.
“Thank you”, Takeru said, looking up to grab his hat back when he suddenly stopped.
The boy that had grabbed Takeru’s hat was the most handsome boy Takeru had ever seen.
He was a little taller than Takeru with h/l h/c hair that somehow looked perfect even with the wind. His e/c eyes were looking at Takeru with curiosity in his eyes.
Takeru felt his heart beat increase and his throat went dry. “This yours?” He said, holding Takeru’s hat out. Takeru stumbled over his words before choking out a yes and taking his hat back.
The boy smiled before turning around and walking away, “you’re welcome”, he said before fully turning around and leaving.
“Thank you!” Takeru yelled out, watching the boy walk away with a red face.
“You got your hat?” Hikari asked. Takeru flinched before looking to his left where Hikari was.
Takeru looked around, not even realizing that everyone had caught up with him. “Yeah”, Takeru whispered before putting his hat back on.
“Who was that boy, he was cute”, Miyako said while looking in the direction where the boy walked off.
“Careful Miyako, I’m pretty sure Takeru already has a crush on him”, Hikari said plainly before continuing walking away.
Takeru blushed more and quickly started to follow Hikari before anyone could ask him any questions.
Takeru heard laughter behind him but he was relieved that no one asked him anything about what Hikari said.
Takeru sighed, thank god.
Tumblr media
Takeru stuffed his hands in his pockets.
Takeru was on a walk to clear his head from a certain boy, but the more Takeru tried not to think about him, the more Takeru thought about him.
Takeru hadn’t even seen the boy before, yet now he didn’t leave Takeru’s mind.
He just looked so, ugh.
Takeru turned around and leaned on the railing of the bridge he was walking over.
Takeru leaned his head on his hand. Several people were walking around below Takeru.
Some by themselves, some with people. Takeru glanced at two people right before they kissed.
This led Takeru to think about what it would be like to kiss that boy. Would it be rough or soft?
Were the boys' lips dry or moist? Would the boy let Takeru lead with the kiss, or would he?
Takeru felt his face get red and he buried his head in his hands.
Oh, Takeru was screwed.
Takeru didn’t even know the boy's name yet he was stuck in Takeru’s mind like gum sticks to the bottom of desks.
Takeru lifted his head from his hands and pushed himself off the railing. Takeru should get home, the sky was getting dark.
Though Takeru’s mother was staying late so it's not like anyone was going to yell at him for being late.
Though Patamon would probably have something to say. “Never thought I’d see you again, pretty boy”, Takeru turned around to see that boy standing near the end of the bridge.
Takeru blushed more at the pet name before walking towards the boy. “Thank you for saving my hat”, Takeru said again. Not really sure what else to say.
Takeru felt his throat dry and his hands get clammy. “It’s fine”, the boy's face showed a look of confusion before Takeru figured out what was wrong. “Takeru”, Takeru held out his hand.
“Y/n”, the boy, Y/n, said. Takeru smiled, that was a nice name. “It’s fine Takeru, though I was wondering if you could pay me back”, You said.
Takeru swallowed, what did you have in mind?
You walked closer to Takeru, “Could I take you out for a date?” You asked with a smile that made Takeru’s legs weak.
It was a few seconds before Takeru responded, “yes”, Takeru said with a small smile of his own.
You smiled before reaching into your pocket, pulling out a piece of paper.
You handed the paper to Takeru, “call me”, you said before walking away. Takeru smiled and put the paper into his pocket.
Looks like Y/n won’t be leaving Takeru’s mind.

Golden Wings
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - Wings
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh why me, you thought.
You were currently hanging out with everyone in the Digital World. Though you could be talking with Miyako and Hikari or running around with Daisuke, instead you were staring at Takeru.
More like you were staring at his wings.
Takeru was talking with Lori a few feet to the side of you, with Patamon asleep on his head.
You were sitting under a tree with your Digimon in your lap as they talked while you stared at them.
How could you not.
Takeru’s wings were golden. Literally, that wasn’t your biased gaze speaking, they were literally golden. They shimmered as the sun beat down on them. They were currently folded behind Takeru as he relaxed.
But when they were folded out they looked great. You loved them. You really wanted to touch them or fun your hands though the feathers.
Were they soft or rough?
You wanted to know but there was one problem. Nobody really touched someone’s wings unless the person with the wings said so.
To them, someone touching their wings was an intimate thing.
Only family and partners could do that, and to Takeru, you were neither.
You were his friend, though you wanted to be more. Takeru ruffled his wings and flinched a bit.
You furrowed his brows, was Takeru okay?
That had been happening for a week or so. It seemed like you weren’t the only one to notice Takeru’s weird behavior.
“Is everything okay, Takeru”, Lori asked. “I’m fine, just molting”, Takeru said through gritted teeth followed by another ruffle of his wings. So that’s what's happening.
No one else in your group had wings, so no one here really knew what molting felt like.
Molting was when someone with wings shedded their feathers in replace of new ones.
Normally it only happened once or twice a year but that was when they fully grew up.
For someone like Takeru, who was still in high school, he mottled once a month.
You knew a bit, it was itchy and hurt. It lasted for a couple weeks then it stopped.
You knew that it really hurt and it can make it hard for the winged person to focus on stuff.
You wanted to help Takeru but still, you really couldn’t. You looked away from Takeru and looked down in your lap
Your Digimon was peacefully sleeping in your lap as they slept.
You kept petting them as you thought. You really wanted to help Takeru, but that would mean you would have to confess to him.
That scared you, you didn’t think Takeru liked you back.
“Everything okay Y/n?” You looked up to see Hikari sitting crisscrossed in front of you with Gatomon in her lap.
“You’ve been sitting here since we got to the Digital World”, Hikari said.
You smiled, “I’m fine Hikari, it’s just that”, you glanced over at Takeru. His wings were now spread out, making them look even better, and Takeru was picking at them.
Feathers were scattered around Takeru and Lori had walked away. From what you could see, and you could only see Takeru’s back, he was annoyed and in slight pain.
Hikari looked over at Takeru before looking back at you. “You want to help him don’t you”, Hikari smiled, “don’t worry I think he likes you”. Hikari stood up and walked away.
Leaving you with a red face.
Did Takeru like you back? If anyone knew that it would be Hikari. You stood up with your Digimon in your arms, ready to talk to Takeru when Ken spoke. “I think we should leave, it’s getting late”, everyone looked to the sky to see the Digital World sun setting.
You sighed and nodded, everyone got up and started walking towards the Tv that you used to get here.
Once you all got there Ken held his D-3 up and you all got back to the real world, without falling on each other.
“That was fun”, Miyako said while stretching. “Yeah”. Daisuke stretched with Miyako, “we should do it tomorrow. Everyone agreed and walked out of the school and down the road.
You noticed that Takeru was lagging behind everyone, still picking at his wings.
You stopped walking, everyone getting ahead of you too, and waited for Takeru to get next to you.
“You okay Takeru”, you asked while walking next to him. Takeru grunted and shook his head, still picking at his wings.
You tried to keep your gaze off of the wings, but that was hard since they were right next to you.
Takeru had folded his right wing, since that was the side you were walking on. But the wing was still hitting you at some points.
The feeling of the feathers brushing against you caused goosebumps to appear.
Neither of you said anything until you got to the cross road. Takeru took a left while you went right. Takeru said goodbye and went left while you stared at Takeru.
Your Digimon finally woke up and stared at you. “What are you thinking about?”
They asked and you looked down and your arms. “Whether I should follow Takeru or not”, you looked back at Takeru, his back getting farther and farther away.
Your Digimon looked the same way as you, “I think you should”, they said before falling back asleep.
You shook your head fondly before running after Takeru. “Hey Takeru! Wait Up!”
You called out, making Takeru stop and look back at you confused. “Is everything alright Y/n?” Takeru asked, still plucking at his wings.
“Yeah, it’s just that my parents are out and it’s getting late and I don’t have a key to my apartment so I was wondering if I could stay with you”, you lied.
It wasn’t the best lie and you could tell that Takeru thought the same. “Sure, but why don’t you have a key to your apartment?”
Takeru asked. You smiled and let out a laugh, “I just never got one”, you told Takeru as you two continued walking.
Shortly after that you and Takeru arrived at his house. Takeru folded his wings before opening the door and stepping inside.
“Hey Mom, I’m home. Oh, and Y/n will be staying with us!” Takeru yelled out as he took off his shoes. You did the same, replacing them with an extra pair of slippers.
“Okay honey!” Takeru’s mother yelled back. “Want anything to eat?” Takeru asked, keeping his wings folded.
You shook your head, you really wanted to just get the point, the real reason you wanted to go with Takeru.
You could tell that Takeru was getting more restless. He was a little shaky and he ruffled his wings every once and a while. “Okay, then he can get you set up in my room”, Takeru said.
You followed Takeru to his room. Takeru spread his wings before placing Patamon down on his bed, you did the same with your Digimon.
Then Takeru took his hat off and placed it on his desk. You had no idea why Takeru wore a hat because you thought his hair looked good. His hair was the same color as his wings, just less shiny.
You wanted to run your hands through Takeru’s hair as well as his wings. You were snapped out of your trace when Takeru grunted again. He was sitting on the floor, trying to spread out a blanket on the floor.
But that was stopped because of his molting, or that’s what you thought. You sucked up what little courage you had and sat behind Takeru.
You reached one of your hands up and brushed it against Takeru’s wings. Takeru let out a gasp but he didn’t tell you to stop. So you kept running your hand though Takeru’s wings till you found a loose feather.
You clasp your fingers around it, making Takeru whimper. A wing bearer's wings are very sensitive during molting
You were trying to be careful, knowing that it could hurt Takeru if you weren’t, but you liked the sounds that Takeru was making.
You pull at the feather, it comes out easily, you hear Takeru sigh as you do it.
You place the feather down next to you and bring your other hand up, raking your hands through his wings.
Getting ever loose feathers and removing them, one by one. As you do this Takeru lets out lots of noises.
He moans when your hands rake though his feathers, he whimpers when you remove a loose one, he sighs when they are removed.
You smile as you do this, happy that you are relieving Takeru of his pain. As you rake your hands though Takeru’s wings you notice spots of red under the golden feathers.
“Have you been scratching your wings?” You asked Takeru, already knowing the answer. “Yeah”, Takeru breathed out. “You shouldn’t”, you tell Takeru, pulling out another feather.
Takeru sighs instead of answering. Once you are done with one wing you move to do the other one but Takeru grabs your hand, stopping you. You look over at him, scared about what might happen.
“Why are you doing this?” Takeru asks, “because I wanted to help you”, you looked away, “And because I like you”. You didn’t hear anything Takeru say anything but you heard him move.
Takeru let go of your arm and turned around, showing you his wings. You smiled, Takeru trusted you and of course liked you back.
You were going to have to thank Hikari.
You continued removing Takeru’s loose feathers till there was none less. Of course there were going to be more loose ones tomorrow.
But you would be there to take care of them.

Turn Me to a Believer
Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader
Inspiration - touch me softly by jxneun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You never really believed in ghosts.
You didn’t believe in spirits either, no matter how many stores your grandparents told you.
No matter how many you read you could never really understand it. It just didn’t make any sense.
So, why were you face to face with a ghost?
How did you know it was a ghost, maybe because it was floating and was hanging upside down?
That was a pretty good sign, or a bad sign. Just because you didn’t believe the stories, didn’t mean that you didn’t listen to them.
Ghosts or sprites, you couldn’t tell which one this was, but they had a thing for possessing or cursing people who ran into them, and you did that.
Literally.
You were just trying to get to class, you were already going to be late before and you had a test.
You didn’t even see anyone there, but you had run into something and fallen onto your ass.
You had looked up to apologize when you were met with the face of someone hanging upside down.
The worst part, you could see through them.
It still had color though. You could see that the ghost, which looked like a guy.
He actually looked to be around your age, he even had on the same school uniform as you.
He had blonde hair, that was right now defying the laws of gravity, but so was the boy so.
He also had blue eyes, they were dark, but light at the same time. They seemed to shine in the light.
They kinda looked like gems, if they were, they’d be worth millions. “You okay?” The boy said.
You shook your head, “uh, yeah, yeah I’m fine”, you said. You were still really confused, maybe you hit your head.
This couldn’t be real, you might just be asleep.
You watched as the boy flipped right side up, though he was still levitating above the ground.
“You sure, you look like you’ve seen a ghost~”, the boy teased.
He started laughing after that, but he stuck his hand out. You glared at the hand, you reached up to see if there was any blood on your head.
There wasn’t, and your head wasn’t hurting. So yeah, the only thing that could be wrong is that you’ve seen a ghost.
You reached your hand out, but took it back before it touched his. You didn’t even know who this boy was, was he really a ghost, or where you imagined the floating and the see thoroughness.
“Who are you?” You asked, taking the boy's hand. You could feel his hand, but you shivered at how cold it was.
You pulled your hand back almost immediately as he helped you up. It was almost like the boy had put his hand into yours.
It was weird, like the boy had put his hand into yours, like wearing your skin like a glove. You hated it.
“Could ask you the same thing, you're the one who ran into me”, the boy said.
You opened your mouth to say something but you closed it, he wasn’t wrong. “Not like I could see you”, you said.
You were right, but you could see the boy now, but not when you ran into him.
The boy nodded, “I’m Takaishi Takeru, and you are~”, Takeru said. He floated up and leaned closer to you, since he was a little shorter than you.
You leaned back instinctively, the boy was close now, too close. You could see his eyes even better now, they looked like an ocean.
You could see all shades of blue, and even a little green swirl in his eyes.
The light above both of you made his eyes shine, like you said. You could even see little gold specks in his eyes, there was something else in his eyes too.
You couldn’t place it, but it made your heart beat faster than it already was.
His hair was closer too, this close made it look like gold. You shook your head again, what were you thinking.
This was a ghost, maybe even a spirit, you had no idea what his intention was anyway.
Curse the fact you liked guys, if only you were a boy who liked girls like most.
Then maybe you wouldn’t be making heart eyes at a ghost!
“I’m L/n Y/n, but call me Y/n”, you said, after realizing you haven’t said anything.
“Then call me Takeru”, Takeru said before moving back. You felt instantly better by the fact that Takeru was further away from you.
“So, why were you running so fast?” Takeru asked, “I have a test!” You yelled, suddenly remembering that this test was fifty perfect of your grade.
“Oh, I remember how bad those tests were”, Takeru said. You had walked past Takeru, hoping that you weren’t too late, but what Takeru said made you pause.
“Wait”, you said. “You went here?” You asked and Takeru turned his head towards you.
He looked you up and down, which made your face redder than it should have been, and then looked himself up and down.
“Oh, really, I didn’t notice”, Takeru said. You rolled your eyes, for how cute Takeru was, he could be really cocky.
Wait?
What did you just think?
Cute?
Takeru wasn’t cute, okay, he was, but you just met him. He was also a ghost, or spirit, you haven’t figured that out yet.
You ignored Takeru’s early comment and asked another question. “So what are you?” You asked and Takeru fully turned to face you.
“I thought I told you already, I’m a ghost”, Takeru said. You raised your eyebrows, “Yeah, but with you I can’t tell if you are telling the truth or being cocky”, you said.
You heard Takeru gasp and looked at you with wide eyes. “How dare you say that”, Takeru said.
Takeru then looked away and then he disappeared. “Takeru?” You yelled, you walked over to where Takeru was.
Uh, where’d he go.
Could Takeru make himself invisible, maybe you should have paid more attention to those damn ghost stories.
“Where’d you go?” You asked, you weren’t going to admit how much you wanted Takeru to stay.
He was interesting, you had never met a ghost before. How did he become one? Why did he become one?
He looked like a teenager, but was he?
Plus, Takeru was kinda cute, curse the fact you liked guys. “What, you miss me~”, Takeru said.
You froze, when you felt arms around your neck. You shivered, it was Takeru alright.
You could feel goose bumps form all over your neck and shoulders. It still felt like his arms were in your shoulder.
You could feel Takeru’s nose against your ear, his head resting on your shoulder.
“No”, you said, looking away from Takeru. You hoped that he didn’t see the blush on your face.
“Aww, you did, you missed me~”, Takeru said. You looked back at Takeru, that sounded different.
Takeru had teased you enough that you knew what it sounded like, that wasn’t it.
When you caught Takeru’s gaze you saw that his eyes were glossed over, he looked sadder than it was before.
“Uh, yeah, of course I missed you, I’ve never seen a ghost, I still have questions”, you said.
Takeru let go of you, and you ignored the want in your chest for him to come back.
“Guess that’s something, though, I shouldn’t compile, you're the first person that’s been able to see me in years, decades? I don’t remember”, Takeru said.
Takeru looked like a child, his shoulders slumped, voice low, and face contorted into a frown.
Then you remembered, Takeru was a child, around your age and you were eighteen.
You frowned, maybe you shouldn’t have said that.
Takeru was just like you, just that he was a ghost and you weren’t. “I’m sorry”, you said.
Takeru looked back at you and smiled, though, it didn’t reach his eyes.
“It’s fine, I’m just happy that you can see me, and talk to me, I hadn’t realized how much I missed talking to people”, Takeru said.
“Well”, you rubbed the back of your head, “If you want someone to talk to, I’ll listen”, you said.
Takeru smiled, a real smile.
Your eyes widened, it looked like the sun. Takeru’s eyes were closed, which saved you from him noticing the pink hue on your face.
He looked really happy, with his lips pressed into a thin line and curved into a smile.
You liked it, you wanted to see it again the second Takeru stopped smiling. “Thank you, Y/n”, Takeru said.
You smiled, “You’re welcome, Takeru”, you said. Takeru opened his mouth to say something but he was cut off when the bell rang.
“Shit”, you said, great, now you have missed the test. Takeru started laughing, and suddenly you weren’t so mad anymore.
“Well, I have to go, see you later!” You yelled as you ran past Takeru and to your next class.
Takeru smiled while nodding, waving his hand in the air after you.
After that, maybe you could believe in ghosts.

Boredom Leads To Love
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - Tucking hair behind the others ear
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn’t want to study.
Studying was boring and you didn’t like being bored. You had already learned this in class so why did you need to learn it again?
You knew how to do it and you weren’t going to remember it if you didn’t want to do it anyway.
You shut your book and pushed it off to the side. You laid your arms on the countertop and laid your head on it.
Closing your eyes, you wanted to take a nap, wanted to being the main word.
“Giving up already?” Takeru asked, a pretentious tone of voice seeping through.
You rolled your eyes before glaring at Takeru. He just smirked and looked back down at his book.
Oh how high and mighty Takaishi Takeru was for having one letter grade higher than you.
Takeru wasn’t that smart, okay, that was a lie.
Takeru was really smart.
He was one of the smartest people in the school, along with being a star player on the basketball team and being a ladies man, Takeru was a star student of the school.
You could understand why, Takeru was funny, caring, a little sassy, smart, pretty.
Pretty?
Your eyes went wide, did you really think that? Was Takeru pretty? You blinked and rubbed your eyes, maybe you were tired.
You had spent hours at school and hours studying at Takeru’s place. It was the last day of the week, so there was no school tomorrow.
You missed hanging out with Takeru, he was your best friend. You had met in the Digital World and been friends ever since.
But with both of you in your last year of high school and college knocking on your doors, it was hard to find time with your best friend.
You knew Takeru wouldn’t decline, he had missed you as well and his mother was out on a business trip.
So he had the apartment all to yourselves. Yet Takeru being the star student he wanted to study for an up and coming exam.
At least it was time spent with Takeru. You thought it would be boring, and it was.
Yet, it wasn’t so bad watching Takeru study.
His eyes scanned the page as he occasionally highlighted something or wrote something down on another piece of paper.
Takeru was focused, more focused on his book than anything else. Takeru still had his uniform on, his jacket and tie ditched next to him.
You had changed into house clothes, you started leaving clothes at Takeru’s place just incase of an impromptu sleepover.
You remember your other friends, not the digidestined, but other people say it was weird.
How you and Takeru were almost out of college and about to be adults and still having sleepovers.
You didn’t think it was weird, you loved spending time with Takeru. You wanted to spend time with Takeru more than anyone.
You’d be content spending the rest of your life with Takeru. Your face went red, where did that come from? What were you thinking?
You looked away and buried your head in your arms. First you thought Takeru was pretty?
Next that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with him?
Was it true?
You peaked at Takeru, head still in your arms but eyes watching him. Takeru’s hair was a little flat, a few strands standing up from him running his hands through it.
His hair curled slightly at the ends, falling slightly in front of his face. Covering the very top of his forehead since his head was leaned down.
Takeru’s hair shone under the lights above you two. It was almost like Takeru’s hair was reflecting the light, making it look like gold.
You wondered what Takeru’s hair felt like.
It looked fluffy, with the curls that littered his head. Yet, Takeru wore a hat most of the time, making his hair a little flat at times.
At least he doesn’t use an obscured amount of hair gel like his brother. What did Takeru’s hair smell like?
You knew Takeru used a shampoo and conditioner that said they smelled like lemons.
But did they actually smell like lemons, plus, Takeru did use a little gel. What did that smell like?
Takeru did look really pretty.
Takeru was well kept even when he wasn’t in school. With his sapphire eyes that bored into your soul.
They looked like the ocean. A swirling ocean of blues and greens that shined like the sun.
When you looked into Takeru’s eyes for a little too long, you could see specks of gold in his eyes.
Along with his golden blond hair, bright blue eyes, nice bod, tight wai-, your face went red.
You quickly looked away and closed your eyes, trying to get Takeru’s image out of your head.
It didn’t work. You couldn’t get Takeru’s bright smile out of your eyes or his addicting laughter out of your ears.
Why?
Why were you thinking this?
Why was your heart racing, face red, stomach giddy? What is making you feel like this?
Takeru, Takeru was making you feel like this.
You like it. You loved this feeling, it made you smile uncontrollably. This felt a lot like love, wait, love?
Is that what this is? Did you love Takeru, of course you did, he was your best friend. Best friend, you cringed at that word.
You loved Takeru, not like a friend. You groaned, which caused Takeru to glance up at you.
It didn’t even really shock you, that was the annoying part.
How long was this going on? How long have you loved Takeru, maybe forever, maybe since you first met him all those years ago?
It was stupid. All those years and you never realized, this wasn’t friendship. This isn't normal, and you only realized now.
The jealousy, the pain, the smiles, and blush, the heart racing, the love.
And all this time you thought it was normal to want to punch something if they kissed Takeru.
It made you laugh, no really, you started laughing.
Takeru looked at you concerned and confused, wondering what made you suddenly burst out laughing.
“You okay?” Takeru asked, more confused than concerned. You stopped laughing and rested your chin on your arms, looking up at Takeru.
He looked at you like you were crazy, maybe you were for laughing, but you didn’t really care.
You stared at Takeru and lifted your hands, moving it to the side of Takeru’s face.
You used your fingers to push a stand of Takeru’s hair behind his ear.
Takeru blushed, his face going red as your fingers graced his cheek. You smiled, Takeru looked pretty with his cheeks painted pink.
His hair was soft, you could tell just by having a stand of it between your fingers.
You wanted to cradle Takeru’s cheek and run your hand through his hair, but this wasn’t the time for that.
You pulled your hand away and stood up, “come on Takeru”, you said. “It’s time for dinner”, you said.
Takeru blinked at you, “what was that?” Takeru asked and you just shrugged.
“I just realized something”, you teased. “What”, Takeru asked.
“Just that I love you”.
“What!”

Conclusions Lead To Confusion
Older Takaishi Takeru x Non-Binary Reader
Prompt - “you’re blushing” “am not!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Takeru!”
Takeru tried to look behind him, wanting to see who called his name. But before Takeru could fully see who called him, someone threw themselves on his back.
Wrapping their arms around Takeru’s neck, pressing their chest against their back.
Takeru jumped but calmed down once he saw your face. “Hello Y/n”, Takeru smiled. He couldn’t help but smile when he saw your face.
“How you doing? Was looking for you for a while”, you said while looking around.
Takeru was in the library, he needed to study for an exam.
So Takeru hid himself away in a far corner of the library so nobody could bother him, guess it didn’t work.
Yet, Takeru wasn’t that disappointed or angry that you had found him.
Takeru knew that you would probably find him, only a matter of time. You pulled away from Takeru, unwrapping your hands from Takeru’s neck.
Takeru tried to ignore how he missed the warmth from them. So Takeru minded himself by watching what you were doing.
You threw your bag on the ground and sat in the chair next to him, pulling it out and making it face Takeru slightly before sitting in it.
“Studying”, Takeru said, answers your question instead of looking at the way your body moved when you sat down.
How you ditched your tie, and your jacket was undone, with your shirt rolling up and exposing part of your v-line.
“Why? Oh the test”, you answered your own question. “Yeah, needed to study away from distractions”, Takeru said, glancing at you when he said distractions.
Takeru heard you gasp, “I am not a distraction”, you said, insulted. Takeru just hummed, going back to reading his book.
You were quiet after that, maybe you were trying to prove your point, but it wasn’t really helping.
Takeru found himself distracted just by the fact you were here. He wanted to ask you why you were here.
You were planning on hanging out with Daisuke and Miyako if Takeru remembered correctly.
Yet here you were, doing nothing while Takeru worked.
Takeru did want to take a break, studying was the last thing he wanted to do, but he had to.
This was for his literacy class, his grade in this class could affect if Takeru gets into college for what he wants.
So Takeru pushed through, no matter how many times people tell him to take a break.
Takeru looked up from the book, looking over at you.
You were leaning on the table, Takeru wanted to scold you for having an elbow on the table.
Yet, once Takeru looked at your face all words disappeared from Takeru’s mouth.
All thoughts disappeared too.
You were staring at Takeru. Your eyes locked onto Takeru, staring at him like like like. Takeru couldn’t place it.
There was something else in your eyes, Takeru could see it. You were never good at hiding your emotions, they also say that eyes are the windows to the soul.
Takeru couldn’t explain the look you had on your face, it was focused, really focused.
It was like you were studying Takeru or admiring him like a piece of art.
That’s all Takeru could describe it as, his brain was mush cause you were looking at him like that.
“What are you doing?” Takeru asked, trying to hide his nervousness. “Just looking at you”, you rasped.
“You’re very pretty”, you said nonchalantly.
Takeru’s face went red, so he quickly looked away and back to his book. You leaned off your hand, sitting up.
“Your blushing”, you said.
“Am not!” Takeru yelled.
Takeru looked fully away from you, giving you a look at the back of his head. “Yes you did~”, you teased.
Takeru didn’t say anything, and you didn’t either. The quiet wasn’t heavy, but it was suffocating.
How could you say things like that, how would Takeru live? It didn’t help that Takeru had a crush on you.
“Takeru?” You said, but Takeru just hummed, not moving his head to look at you. “You good?” You asked and Takeru glared.
No, he wasn’t. You do things like this, Takeru doesn’t know what this means.
You say things, do things, it only confuses Takeru.
Did you like him back? Takeru didn’t know, it made him angry. “No, I’m not”, Takeru growled.
Takeru turned to look at you, his face radiating anger. It made you lean back, confused on what made Takeru so mad.
“Why do you do stuff like that!” Takeru yelled, quickly sitting up in his chair.
The sound of the chair moving on the floor was the only sound for a while.
“Takeru?” I’m sorry if I did something that made you mad, I didn’t mean it”, you said.
Though, Takeru wasn’t really listening. Takeru just moved away from the table, picked up his bag, and walked away.
Takeru could hear your voice calling him, but Takeru’s didn't look.
Not this time.
Tumblr media
You knocked on the door for what felt like the tenth time.
You knew Takeru was home, you arrived to see Hikari leaving the apartment.
She said that Takeru had called her over to talk, and that he was in fact home.
It only made it worse, since that means that Takeru was actively ignoring you.
You wanted to know why, was it what you said? You didn’t even mean it, it just came out.
Didn't mean it was wrong or that you didn’t mean it, just that it wasn’t meant to be said.
“Takeru!” you yelled through the door, not caring if his neighbors thought it was rude.
“I’m sorry!” You said for the fifth time. You just wanted to know what you did.
You reached your hand up to knock again when the door opened. You looked at Takeru’s face, his nose and eyes were slightly red, but he was glaring at you.
“What”, Takeru said, voice seeping with anger. You stepped a step back, the words you wanted to say dying on your tongue.
“I’m sorry”, you said again.
“I don’t know what I said but I know it made you sad and angry so I’m sorry”, you said and Takeru’s face softened.
“Why?” Takeru asked again. You furrowed your brows, “why what?” You asked and Takeru sighed.
“What you said, earlier in the library, why did you say it?” Takeru asked, not really meeting your gaze.
You opened your mouth a few times before figuring out what to say. “Cause it's true”, you said.
Making Takeru meet your gaze with a look of confusion on his face. “It's true”, you said again.
“I thought you should know that, I tell you it almost daily”, you said, shrugging your shoulders.
“But why do you say it?” Takeru asked again, “do you think it’s true?” Takeru asked and you tilted your head.
You watched Takeru, he had his hat on, you didn’t like it. You haven’t really seen Takeru’s hair, but it looked fluffy, you wanted to run your hands through it.
You wanted to know if it was as fluffy and soft as it looked. You moved down to Takeru’s eyes, Takeru’s eyes were like the ocean.
A swirl of blues and greens. You could look into them forever. Takeru’s eyes were mesmerizing, an ocean that you would travel in forever.
Takeru’s face went red after a while of staring. It made him look cute, with a soft pink taking over his cheeks and ears.
“Yeah”, you whispered.
“I think you’re really pretty Takeru, I thought you knew I knew that”, you said and Takeru just frowned.
You hated it, you didn’t want Takeru to be sad. You cared about Takeru a lot, maybe more than a friend should but that didn’t matter.
“I care about you Takeru, I’m sorry, I won’t say anything like that again”, you said.
“No!” Takeru yelled, his sudden change of demeanor shocking you. “I-i like it”, Takeru said.
Takeru took a step forward, now in the doorway instead of in his apartment. “I-I’m just confused”, Takeru whispered.
“You say things like that and it confuses me. I like you, Y/n”, Takeru said.
Your eyes widened, Takeru’s words shocking you into silence as Takeru continued speaking.
“I like you Y/n, and you say things like that but I’m not sure if you like me back”, Takeru said, you could see tears brim Takeru’s eyes.
So you ran forward.
You wrapped your arms around Takeru’s waist, burying your face in Takeru’s neck. “I like you too, Takeru”, you said.
Stunning Takeru into silence. “Why do you think I called you pretty, friends typically don’t do that”, you said and Takeru laughed.
“You could have just told me instead of sending confusing messages”, Takeru said.
You pulled away, but kept your arms around Takeru’s waist.
“You could have asked me instead of locking yourself in your apartment”, you said, which made Takeru glare at you.
“Guess we were both a little stupid”, Takeru said and you nodded in agreement.
“So, does this mean I can take you on a date?” You asked and Takeru rolled his eyes, “thought that was obvious”, he said.
“Well I just want to make sure, no more guessing or jumping to conclusions”, you said.
“Plus”, you leaned closer.
“I don’t want to waste this”, you smirked. “You are very pretty, I would hate to lose someone who’s so pretty~”, you teased.
Takeru pushed your face away, but you could see that his face was pretty red.
“Look even cuter when you blush”, you said. Which got a door shut in your face.
“See you tomorrow, pretty boy!” You yelled before walking away, a bright smile on your face.
Too bad you didn’t see how red Takeru’s face was, and how big his smile was.
