So what kinks are Taio’s hard limits?

Most of them, tbh. The lad has turned out to be the most depressingly vanilla of my OCs. He doesn’t enjoy pain outside of a fair fight, and the only bondage and submission he’s explored has been via Bull’s meditation sessions which they keep completely non-sexual. He’s very conscious of how easily he can hurt or frighten someone, so he doesn’t get off on seeing significant distress, real or performed. He’ll indulge various roleplays and hyperfixations on Dorian’s part, but if the effort outweighs the payoff he’ll start getting antsy. He doesn’t like receiving degradation of any form really, and while he’ll allow Dorian to act the brat he makes it clear it’s an indulgence. If the endgame isn’t getting to make loud messy love to his husband then there’s got to be some kind of other major incentive.

It’s pretty important for Taio, too, though definitely for different reasons. When his father would have a dissociative episode, his mother would sit with him, undo all his braids and redo them. Usually he was clear, or at least responsive, by the time she was done. He had classic qunari hair, long and straight and stark white.

She would do the same for Taio, even though his hair is a much different texture, undoing and re-plaiting it once a week or so. He cut it all off when he left home, and hasn’t grown it out in any meaningful way since, but that mohawk of his is actually plaited -- the odd-lengths just tends to get fuzzy after a few days in (when you cut your own hair with a knife, it’ll do that)

And for the record, Taio would be ~honored~

Okay, so hair is really important to Tash - the Qun dictates every aspect of life, including general hairstyle, and Saarebas often have their heads shaved, so Tash is very protective of his long hair and only lets people he trusts touch it.

So even though this is cute and sweet, it's also a significant moment where Taio can clearly tell that Tash really trusts him.

I’m so glad Taio sparks joy for you!

He grew up an only child. His extended family is big, but the next-youngest cousins are nearly 10 years older than him and were more like aunties and uncles than siblings. The human and elf kids in the village called him Little Lamb and always made him wrestle them two-on-one, but he was well-liked…he just never really was close to any one friend.

Bull is the first person Taio has really met who feels like a big brother to him.

Their wrestling matches are one-on-one and clear the Skyhold courtyard

Bull also, in many ways, takes the place of the father Taio lost. After years helping guard his village, leading merc squadrons and having to earn his keep by being The Big Guy, it’s nice for Taio to have someone around to make him feel a little bit smaller.
