The autumn festival at Misu Shrine in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, is held on the second Sunday night of October. In the autumn of the previous year, we harvested the reeds with ears from the reeds (葭-yoshi) that grow naturally in the Uji River and made a large torch fire. The large torch, bundled in layers, is about 1.2 metres in diameter, about 4 metres in length, and weighs about 1 ton. The large torch cannot be moved while standing, so it is laid on the side and carried by 32 men.

With all that shedding, you could probably call me Inkwell "Two Sheds" Taimatsu! Don't, though~
Ponies do control the weather! But I live in the Everfree, and that works all on its own~

松明花[Taimatsubana] Monarda didyma
松明[Taimatsu] : Torch
花[-bana|Hana] : Flower
Monarda, Beebalm or Bergamot. It is native to North America. The aroma of leaves and flowers is similar to bergamot orange, the flavorings of Earl Grey tea. The Japanese name comes from the shape and color of the flower, which are reminiscent of a torch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuni-e

So, as a good little bilingual, I've been playing Breath of the Wild in Spanish. And oh, wow, I just looked up this NPC and was so disappointed:
In Spanish, the Master Sword is called La Espada Maestra. However, like in English, the Master Sword has a second name: the Spanish equivalent of "the sword that seals the darkness" is "la espada que doblega a la oscuridad" (Translation: 'The sword that vanquishes/brings down the darkness"). So, in Spanish, this guy calls his torch "la espada que DESPEJA a la oscuridad", which means "the sword that clears away the darkness". You get it? It's A JOKE! A real joke. He misheard "doblega" as "despeja" and thinks it's a torch because it clears literal darkness. It's kind of cute! It's funny! This is completely not present in English!!
Naturally, I checked the original Japanese -- there's a joke there, too, so it's really just poor English losing it in translation. In Japanese, the master sword is called "taima no ken", or "evil-eradicating sword" (along with the classic 'masutaa soodo', for 'master sword'). Torch guy misheard this as "taimatsu no ken", or "torch sword". THAT'S A JOKE!!!! English translators just went "hm, no thanks, I see your joke and raise you "no joke at all""

My Villain Academia: Intelli and classmate Title: Oh, How Cute, He Challenges Me! My Favorite Early Grey Too!
Saiko smirked at the package she retrieved.
"What has you excited, Miss Intelli?" Taimatsu asked her.
"My nemesis has further emphasized the challenge he's issued me," Saiko replied, showing her the contents, "He's telling me to go all out in our battle of wits. Oh, the fun that we'll have matching cunning for cunning!"

Excuse you, Taimatsu! I happen to think Vincent was very interesting and well dressed.
Vincent Price is a legendary human in the field of classic horror media.
RIP <3
This thing was in, like, every episode and caused all the problems in the first place, so arguably you could say it was the main character~
Like, Vincent Van Ghoul was cool and all, but is he interesting to dress up as? Not really~
