How many of y'all have had a steering pitman arm kick your butt? I've never had as much difficulty removing a pitman arm as I did yesterday on this one. I could see northern guys having issues with them because of the rust, but this had no rust at all. I used pullers, heat (bad idea! Melted a seal on gear box), pickle fork and hammer. I finally had to cut it with a cut-off wheel and then chisel to separate it. So much fun. I replaced all the steering linkage on the '01 Tahoe "Family Wagon" yesterday to get it nice and tight. It wasn't horrible but had a little play. Hopefully I won't be replacing the seal in the gear box now since I melted it. #pitmanarm #pitmanarmpita #tahoe #tahoepitmanarm
