Tahoe Dragon Mates (book 6): The Dragon’s Find by Jessie Donovan
A grumpy/sunshine, snowed in, “only one bed” story about a dragonman and his fated human female…
On Jenny Hartmann’s drive up the mountain to a friend’s cabin for a much-needed escape, her old car breaks down. Stranded on the snowy mountain, with no town or other cars in sight, she has no choice but to walk to find help. And of course, she soon falls on her butt and hurts her leg. While cursing the world for her crappy luck, a tall, sexy dragonman finds her and offers to help.
Even though it means possibly being alone with a stranger for who knows how long—let alone what he’ll do—the dropping temperatures give her little choice. As soon as she accepts his help, he carries her to his little cabin and proceeds to take care of her.
The dragon-shifter named Daniel Torres says little. But he doesn’t try to curb her ramblings or make her feel embarrassed about having little to no filter. In fact, she tells him things she’s kept from even her sister. And after they huddle together in the only bed to keep warm, things start to shift, and she wants things she can’t have.
But a surprise from the dragon-shifters’ main enemy changes everything. And soon Jenny must decide if she wants a future with the dragonman, or will she have to flee to stay safe from his inner dragon?
NOTE: This is a quick, steamy standalone story about fated mates and sexy dragon-shifters near Lake Tahoe in the USA. You don’t have to read all my other dragon books to enjoy this one!

My Review: 5/5 Stars
It's been a while since I was back in the dragonshifters world and this was definitely a fun one to return with. We are with the American dragons where we meet Jenny and Daniel. Jenny is having a terrible day. Or more like a terrible year. A bad break up with a jerk of an ex. No job. And now a broken down car on a snowy mountain. She can't catch a break. And of course, she hurts herself as she tries to walk her way to town. But maybe her luck is changing because who saves her? Daniel. A dragonshifter. And maybe that scares her at first, because humans don't tend to know much about dragonshifters, but it isn't long until the two of them are warming up to one another. The chemistry and connection to one another is strong. So strong, that Daniel starts to realize that Jenny may just be his true mate. But there was a reason he was on that mountain. There are still humans out there determined to hurt his clan and other dragonshifters. Falling into a mate claim frenzy at the moment wouldn't be a good idea. But losing Jenny? That's not acceptable either. But things get complicated when their enemies reach the mountain. And Jenny will have some decisions to make about her future. This was a fun one! Jenny and Daniel were a great pair. Jenny's no filter was hilarious and she brought out a softer side to Daniel. Another great book in this series and world. I hope to see more!

Swimming With EO’s Angel-Sharks on the Inaugural MyEO Deal Change Convention – Octane Weblog – The official weblog of the Entrepreneurs' Group
The Entrepreneurs’ Group (EO)’s Accelerator program empowers early-stage entrepreneurs with the instruments, neighborhood and accountability essential to aggressively develop and grasp their companies. Peter Gabauer, an EO Accelerator participant in Brisbane, Australia, is founder and CEO of Desk and Desk, which gives customized furnishings in 14 days. As a startup entrepreneur who’s actively rising his enterprise, Peter not too long ago attended the inaugural MyEO Deal Change Convention in Denver, Colorado, the place he pitched Desk and Desk in EO’s first DX Angel-Shark Expertise and obtained a US$250,000 funding in his firm.
Attendees on the inaugural MyEO Deal Change Convention in 2018.
In 2018, Alan Peterson, an EO member in Orange County, California, shaped MyEO Deal Change (MyEO DX), a useful resource for connecting EO members who want to discover mutually useful offers. From 24–27 October 2018, the inaugural MyEO Deal Change Convention was held in Denver, Colorado and welcomed greater than 60 EO members from 10 international locations, 29 chapters and 9 areas.
For those who’re an EO member in search of acquisitions, mergers, partnerships, exit transactions, financing, funding alternative or member-to-member deal experiences, MyEO DX is for you.
Along with audio system together with Verne Harnish, EO founder and CEO of Gazelles, and Jeff Hoffman, founding father of Priceline, the convention featured the DX Angel-Shark Expertise the place startups pitched Angel-Sharks in hopes of coming away with an funding—very similar to within the common exhibits Dragon’s Den, Shark Tank, Tigers of Cash and Den of Lions. The Angel-Sharks dedicated to investing a minimal of US$250,000 and ended up topping that with a complete funding of US$400,000.
Peter Gabauer (pictured at left), an EO Accelerator participant from Brisbane, Australia, and CEO of Desk and Desk, was awarded US$250,000 for his pitch to the Angel-Sharks. We requested Peter about his entrepreneurial journey and his plans for maximizing the funding. Right here’s what he shared:
How and when did you begin Desk and Desk?
My entrepreneurial journey started once I left my job as a advertising supervisor to begin my very own advertising firm. Our shoppers ranged from not-for-profits to luxurious boatbuilders. In 2008, a buddy requested me to assist him commercialize an invention for making frames for tables, desks and all kinds of different purposes. So, I set about licensing producers to make use of his mental property.
Round this time, my daughter requested me to assist put her new desk collectively. I envisioned a memorable dad-and-daughter venture, passing her the Allen key and displaying her learn how to put it collectively so she would have the satisfaction of doing so herself. As an alternative, it took significantly longer to place collectively the easy desk than I assumed. Once we put it in her room, it didn’t fairly match. She shed tears of disappointment, and although we rearranged her room, we couldn’t make it match, so she moved into the spare room.
There needed to be a greater manner! Why can’t you purchase a desk that can completely match the out there house? We had the know-how to make customized desks; we simply wanted to create a manner for purchasers to purchase them simply. Thus Desk and Desk was born―a web site platform enabling prospects to customise furnishings specs to the millimeter and select the prime and body colours to go well with their house.
What’s probably the most difficult facet of working your organization, and the way has this impacted your online business?
Having to work in areas that aren’t all the time my robust go well with! I’m a advertising man; administration is one thing I can do, however I simply don’t get any power from it. If you’re bootstrapping, it’s important to cowl many bases, however there is a chance value for doing so. The flip facet is that you simply perceive your online business inside-out, which is effective in the long term.
How has your participation in EO Accelerator impacted your entrepreneurial journey?
Becoming a member of EO Accelerator has opened the door to very related enterprise training born from actual experiences of different entrepreneurs, which carries important weight. Accelerator studying days provide help to deal with key pillars in your online business. One other profit is the shared power that you simply get from being uncovered to different entrepreneurs who’re pushing as onerous as you’re to attain their objectives and goals. You journey collectively, forming a excessive stage of belief and respect. One dialog with the correct individual could make all of the distinction and supply huge readability. The folks I’ve met in EO have been good, humble and beneficiant.
The DX18 Angel-Sharks and the “Last 5!” From left to proper: Angel-Sharks, seated: Scott Fritz, Ace Chapman, Deborah Keller, Marcus New, and Mark Martin. Standing are the contestants: Tejune Kang, EO New York; Charlie Davis, EO Louisiana; Alan Peterson, MyEO DealExchange Champion and EO Orange County; Peter Gabauer, EO Accelerator, Brisbane; Meg Carlson, EO Vancouver; and Steve Ardagh, EO Reno/Tahoe.
You attended the inaugural MyEO Deal Change Convention and walked away with a major dedication from Angel-Sharks. What, in your opinion, went proper along with your pitch to assist safe their funding?
I believe the worth proposition we’re providing was apparent for lots of people attending. Another companies weren’t in a position to articulate their worth proposition simply as a result of their services or products providing was extra complicated and obscure. Many individuals might relate to the issue Desk and Desk is fixing, each for company and residential markets. I took it as a fantastic praise that a number of the folks we had been pitching in opposition to mentioned they might spend money on our enterprise.
How did EO Accelerator provide help to put together your pitch for the Angel-Sharks? Did you conduct any apply classes?
Being in EO Accelerator has helped deliver readability to the enterprise. Additionally, being in EO has sharpened my capacity to concisely talk our distinctive worth proposition for our prospects. I did get along with a few EOers on the convention and we rehearsed our pitches for one another and gave suggestions. This helped rather a lot.
How will the funding and enter from the Angel-Sharks change your organization’s trajectory?
One of many first issues we are going to do is interact a neighborhood CEO/gross sales champion and arrange a customer support staff. We’ll assist that with the appointment of a digital advertising company to launch the enterprise. We have already got licensed native manufacturing in place, so we are able to begin to provide instantly. This money infusion could have a fantastic affect on the expansion of the enterprise. We hope to leverage the connection and strategic functionality of the Angel-Sharks to verify we do that effectively. It will then place us for the following spherical of funding to assist the enterprise scale with extra merchandise we have now designed.
Will your cope with the Angel-Sharks embrace mentoring/steering/enter from the Angel-Sharks? If that’s the case, in what type?
Our cope with the Angel-Sharks will embrace mentoring, strategic recommendation and connections with different corporations that can assist us launch within the U.S. That is simply as necessary because the monetary funding—maybe much more so, as that is what is going to propel us ahead.
In addition to the US$250,000 funding, what was your strongest takeaway from MyEO DX?
As with all EO occasions, there are such a lot of takeaways which might be extraordinarily beneficial. For me, it was listening to Verne Harnish speak about development by acquisition. With three million child boomers retiring within the subsequent few years, there’s a huge alternative to purchase companies and develop them.
Scott Fritz, one of many Angel-Sharks, talked about being productive versus being busy―it looks like everybody you ask is busy, however at what value? Being productive is about being current and centered. He talked in regards to the significance of transferring from working in to engaged on your online business as quickly as attainable. That one takeaway alone is incredibility beneficial in serving to to reframe objectives and intentions.
Peter Gabauer thanks the Angel-Sharks for his or her funding.
After all, there’s extra worth within the unbelievable folks you meet, and the tales and studying gained. By EO Accelerator, I’ve made not simply contacts, however mates. EO has supplied an unbelievable expertise for me and my enterprise.
MyEO DX 2018 in Denver was an incredible expertise on so many ranges: unbelievable folks, the audio system and workshops had been second to none, and the Angel-Shark expertise was past my expectations. I’m already trying ahead to the MyEO DX 2019 occasion!
The MyEO Deal Change platform is now stay and will be accessed by the MyEO web page.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Visiting the American Dragon Clans has been pretty cool so far! After reading book one of the Tahoe Dragon Mates, I was excited to read book 2 and see how Gaby’s story turned out. She was the spark of book one and her brother Jose finding his true mate, so I was eager to see hers. This short story was filled with true mates and the chemistry between Ryan and Gaby. Plus! A little action and conflict as there are still dragon-shifters who are not eager to have humans living with them. It was a short and sweet story to add to this big universe of dragon-shifters. I can’t wait for the next one!

My Review: 5/5 Stars
I loved finally meeting an American Dragon clan! This short story was really great. While it connects and acknowledges the British clans, we finally get an insight to how different things are in the American clans. And Jose and Victoria's story was so sweet! Neither really wanted to be part of the dragon lottery, yet the moment Jose sees Victoria he knows she is his true mate. Victoria just wanted to learn more about dragon-shifters and when Jose picks her, she decides to take a chance and jump right into his world. They have a chance to learn more about one another and with a true mate story, you get to really see what happens when you meet the right person and just know they are the one for you. This story opens up more for the Tahoe Clan and I can't wait to see more stories from them!

My Review: 5/5 Stars
This world of dragonshifters is such a fun one. I love how this series is expanding. This is the fifth book in the Tahoe Dragon Mates series where the dragons are based in the US. This story follows David, the leader of Clan StoneRiver and Tiffany, a human who has been selected to help with the orphaned dragon children. David knows that Tiffany is his true mate. He's known for a while but because of the curse of the clan leaders before him losing their mates, he refuses to put her in any danger. His dragon may laugh that the curse isn't real, but David isn't so sure. And he doesn't want to be the reason his mate dies. Tiffany's world was introduced to the dragonshifters when her brother mated one. And when there is an opportunity to help dragonshifter children get adopted, she wants to help in any way she can. Doing this program at Clan StoneRiver puts her near David, who she can't deny her attraction to him but she also can't read him well. She knows there is more to meets the eye with David, and she wonders if she can figure it out. Or if David will share with her. It isn't long until the two can't stay away from one another and even when they can't deny feelings anymore, things get more complicated with the humans who are against dragonshifters. Can Tiffany and David find a way to be together and keep one another safe? I loved their story! Their romance was so sweet and the the twists and turns were so great! Tiffany is such a strong female character and she wasn't afraid to show she could kick butt and protect herself. And she was just what David needed in his life. Someone he can be himself with and know that when push comes to shove Tiffany will fight to make it back to him. Just another great addition to this series and I can't wait to read more from the Tahoe Dragon Mates.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
I love these dragon-shifters book. So much fun jumping back into this world. And I was excited to read the next Tahoe Dragon Mates book. So this book follows Brad and Tasha, who we briefly met in the last Tahoe Dragons books. After helping Ashley and Wes in the previous book, it seems that the danger those two faced has shifted a bit to Tasha. When there is an attempt to attack Tasha at her bar, Brad steps in just in time to stop them from hurting Tasha. But now they realized that she is the next target of the League. The organization of humans who hate dragon-shifters. The only way to truly to protect Tasha is to being her to StoneRiver, Brad's clan. But that's exactly what Brad has been avoiding: getting closer to Tasha. Because it turns out she is his true mate. And after being hurt by a human not too long ago, he doesn't want to put his trust in another. Not even for his true mate. But being forced together has led to both realizing there is more to the other than they originally thought. And why push away the chance for true happiness? Tasha and Brad are great characters and I loved getting to see another American dragon clan. The world just keeps getting bigger and I'm here for it!

Tahoe Dragon Mates (book 3): The Dragon’s Bidder by Jessie Donovan
In exchange for favors to help his clan, PineRock’s dragon leader Wes Dalton agrees to participate in a charity auction. After all, one evening dining or dancing with one lucky bidder shouldn’t be too hard to endure. Then he notices the true mate he can never have in the audience—Ashley Swift. When she wins him for the night, the battle begins between what his dragon half wants and what his human half tries to deny.
Ashley Swift worked her way up the ranks of the American Department of Dragon Affairs and knows the ins and outs of dragon-shifters in her area. And while it’s against the rules and she knows it, Ashley is drawn to PineRock’s clan leader. They’ve danced around each other for years, but Ashley finally found a way to spend an evening with Wes—a charity auction. Nothing in the rules prevents her from bidding, and she wins. One night is all she needs to get him out of her system, or so she tries to tell herself.
As the pair dance around their undeniable attraction to one another, more than Ashley’s job or Wes’s position is at stake. They stumble upon something brewing in Reno and it’s up to them to stop it. Only then can they think of a way to skirt the rules and be together.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Been waiting for Wes and Ashley's book since we met them in book one of the Tahoe Dragon Mates series and now we finally have it! In the previous book, Wes makes a deal with Ashley that he will attend a charity auction after Ashley helped Wes and PineRock out of a tough situation. Over the years Wes has known Ashley, he knew that she was his true mate. But with the complications of him being a clan leader and her working for the ADDA, the chances of them having a future was slim and even maybe impossible. So for years, he shut down the urge to claim her as his mate. Until now. Ashley has always had feelings for Wes and even months earlier realizes she had to break up her engagement because of those feelings. With Wes agreeing to be in the charity auction, she decides this is her one chance to have a night with him to herself. Where neither of them are working and they can just be themselves. The night proves to show more than either had ever hoped for. With feelings out in the open, things get more complicated when a human dragon hate group finds them on their night out. Together, they have to juggle this new threat and find a way to be together. Loved their story! Especially that I have loved their characters since book one. So it was nice to see how they get their happily ever after. Can't wait for the next one!

Lochguard Highland Dragons (book 9): The Dragon’s Chance by Jessie Donovan
Over the last year, Jake Swift has constantly thought of the one-night stand he had with a beautiful dragon-shifter, one who left silently in the night. Determined to see her once more, he finally manages to arrive in Scotland at Clan Lochguard’s gates and asks to see Sylvia. She’s as sexy and kind as he remembers, but soon learns her secret—he’s a father and they have a daughter together.
Sylvia MacAllister has done her best to be a single mother to her surprise daughter. It’s not easy, but she’s determined to be the best mother possible, especially given how she failed her other children more than a decade ago. But then her daughter’s father shows up on Lochguard, wanting to be a part of their lives. Sylvia isn’t so sure about it, but she grants him two weeks to see how things go. The trick will be in focusing solely what’s best for her daughter and not getting attached to the sexy human.
Jake tries his best to win Sylvia, despite her doubts. However, between each of their pasts and family drama, a future together seems uncertain. Will Jake be able to convince Sylvia that he wants both her and their daughter? Or will he be relegated to a part-time dad, unable to claim his new family?
Full-length novel with a happy ending. (Jake Swift is the cousin of Ashley Swift, heroine of The Dragon's Bidder in the Tahoe Dragon Mates series.)

My Review: 5/5 Stars
I love diving back into this dragon shifters world. Especially when it is a Lochguard book! In the previous book we saw Sylvia admit to her daughter, Cat, that she was pregnant. But she was very hush hush about the father. Now we get her story. Sylvia lost her mate over a decade ago. Her grief made her struggle to take care of her five children which led to them stepping up. She's worked hard to try and be a better mother to them, despite them now being grown, but she also wants to try and live her life too. So when she when she is away from the clan for a few days and meets a human who makes her feel something for the first time in over a decade, she takes a chance and it leads her to the happiest she has been in a long time. She leaves without saying goodbye and soon learns she is pregnant with his child. But, she has no way to contact him. A year later, he finds her. Jake has been meaning to find Sylvia for a year now. But poorly timed work emergencies and a family tragedy has kept him from booking his trip to Scotland once more. Then when she doesn't appear at the conference they met at, he knows he has to find her. They may have had one night but the connection he felt with her was stronger than anything and he can't sit back with the what-ifs. He never expects to find Sylvia with his three month old daughter. And the moment they are both in his arms he knows he will never let them go. He just has to convince Sylvia to give them a chance.
I loved their story! Not only is it a second chance romance but things take a crazy turn for Jake and Sylvia that truly threatens their future. I love when we get a good action based plot mixed in with the romance. The stakes just get higher. Plus! The side plots were very strong in this book. We see the glimpses of the previous ones that were teased between certain characters and the beginnings of new ones that left me wanting more and wondering when those books will come out. The world is never ending and the characters only get more interesting. Also! Jake is the cousin of Ashley Swift, and for those who read the American dragon clan books, we met Ashley in that series and she even had her own book. This book opened relationships between the UK and US dragon clans which is yet another of expanding the world and an opportunity for crossovers between the many series. A really great addition to this series! Can't wait for more!
