     “Can’t help but feel it’s my fault.” After all, vehicle maintenance was something he knew, and should’ve paid more attention to. Now, the van was busted, cell phones out of juice,  and the nearest town was a few miles out--and he couldn’t even be sure if it had an auto parts store or a mechanic shop much less the part they needed.

     “Sorry, Tara. We have a few options. We can both foot it to town, see what we can get. We both wait here, maybe a good Samaritan type will show up. Or I go, you wait here.” Now that Jamie said them aloud, he didn’t much care for being split apart. “I vote option one. Best fucking chance.”

     He briefly drew his attention to the long, empty road. “Yeah.”

She sighed, running her slim digits through her strands while trying to think what they should do. “Just calm down first, alright?”, Tabitha gently touched her twin’s hand in reassurance. “Tell me how this happened.”

It had been a bad day, startedoff with Faith waking from a nightmare of Kakistos finding them andtorturing Tara in front of her as he had Diana back in Boston.  Thedream left her moody and snappish, pacing the house restlessly andnearly walking out the door more the once as her whole body itchedwith the urge to run.  She was going to get Tara killed, get themboth killed, she just knew it.  Anxiety, fear, grief, and guiltswirled in her gut in a sickening combination and as usual she turnedthose painful emotions into anger.  It was the only way she knew howto deal with them. 

But at the same time, she had nothing to hit andnowhere to run.  She was safe inside, for the time being, but itmeant she lacked any way of expending her energy.  Eventually itboiled over, her fists lashing out into the nearest wall to leave thewood and plaster broken and her knuckles bloodied.  The touch of coolfingers to her chin made her flinch but the grip was steady enough tokeep her in place as her gaze was directed up to concerned blue eyes.

Dru was resting in the chair in the living room. She saw Tara approach but wasn’t expecting the sudden inhabiting of her lap. She wrapped her arms around Tara’s waist. “Yes darling girl?”

                               RP POSITIVITY WEEK

             DAY 01: FAVORITE PORTRAYALS OF A MINOR / UNDER APPRECIATED                                                                        CHARACTER        Okay so minor and under appreciated characters give me life. It may sound weird coming from someone that writes a character whose name is literally in the title of the canon material, but for real. The buffyverse is filled with these amazing, dynamic characters that are brought to life even more on my dash. The effort that goes into taking a character that might not have heaps of canon material or have little appreciation from either the canon or the fandom, is so immense and unmeasurable. The awe and respect I have for the muns that bring these characters to life with headcanons and writing is huge.        And this post is not just for those Buffy verse characters, but for all the minor / under appreciated characters that make my dash so fun, and that i look forward to reading every little snippet on.  @exwatcher / @gunnblazing depending if you are viewing from a btvs or ats perspective, Wesley can be viewed as a minor or major character. But either way, he deserves way more appreciation than he gets. Luckily Aron gives all the appreciation. I have ranted earlier about his amazing portrayal but i’m gonna rant a bit more. He gives Wes so much dimension and I hear Wes in his writing. But more than that, he gives Wes even more dynamic that he had in canon, and i get so excited to read anything he writes. and then for Gunn, he can be seen as a major character, but once again, so under appreciated. Aron made me realize how much I loved Gunn and is such a joy to the dash. Like it is so amazing to see Gunn on my dash, and even more amazing to see Aron’s writing of him that gives him life. @vacuoustramp faith deserves all the love for her Harmony and the effort she puts in. tbh before I use to just think of Harmony as a shallow and amusing character in the Buffy verse. But Faith made me think of her in a new light. and it’s because of all the different multiple sides that she brings to Harm. and she deserves all the recognition in the world for it.  @whowatches omg nick’s Giles is the Giles i have waited my lifetime for. Not only does all his writing scream Giles, but quite often I head a bit of giles in ooc talk too, which just makes me smile even more. Tara was forcing herself to ignore the knot stuck inside her throat, but as soon as she felt her mom’s fingers brush against her cheek for a brief second, she couldn’t hold it back. “I-I miss her-- So much!”. Her arms immediately circled the older woman’s waist, her head resting on Samantha’s shoulder. It felt like she couldn’t breathe. Tara knew that her decision to leave the Summers’ house and take a break from her relationship with Willow was the right thing to do, but that didn’t mean she was not hurting. Badly.
