@cannedmonster (ty ana! hi ana!) tagged me to post 5 songs i've been obsessed with lately, and they're all mladic by gy!be: -Congregate by Forest Swords - I'm kind of addicted to the whole forest swords vibe, it's so wholly & perfectly my jam. this one is so good and weirdly only ever released as a single -Tarkovsky by Bodega - bodega are a bit patchy for me, they've got some great songs and also some kinda mid stuff, and their art-punk thing feels a tiny bit tired and insincere. Their latest album is a lot of fun though and this one is a stand out. I unironically want to make an edit to the end credits of Stalker with this song playing I think it would be hilarious

-Remurdered by Mogwai - was a big fan of this on release & went back to it recently, the mogwai well springs forth eternal DUN DUN DUNUNUNUN DUN DUN -My Son Tim - John Francis Flynn - WELL WAS IT WALKING ACROSS THE SEA WORE YOUR TWO FINE LEGS FROM THE KNEES AWAY WITH A TOO REA ARR -Mladic by Godspeed You! Black Emperor - sometime last year i made a point of going back and listening to the post-hiatus albums properly, i had kind of skimmed them previously in favour of the classics/the latest one. Anyway I liked them all but Don't Bend Ascend was my fave and this track in particular blew me away. It goes so hard & I keep coming back to it, I think it's honestly the best thing they've done to date. As I think I've said before, sometimes I just want to live inside the first 8 minutes.

Ok here we go uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

1. My drink of choice used to be ginger ale, then I got older and subsequently more tired so now it‘s maté (sweet sweet caffeine).

2. I have been keeping photo albums of my life since I was 15, I‘m on the fourth one by now.

3. I can‘t stand blank walls, so every wall in my room is full of posters, paintings and photographs.

4. The wall thing also applies to my skin. I have plenty of tattoos and will absolutely continue to get more. >:)

5. I still don‘t know what I wanna do with my life, so I‘m just drifting from job to job right now. I don’t mind it for the time being, but I envy those who have a precise idea of what they wanna do and who they wanna be as a person.

6. I have a habit of eating nutella straight out of the jar, especially as a midnight snack.

7. I did ballet and other forms of dance for a large portion of my life and once had ambitions of becoming a professional dancer. That did not end up happening, which is probably for the better.

8. I have a rule of never smoking more than one cigarette a month. I had this rule even before I knew who Kim Kitsuragi was. Yes I screamed a little when he said the one cigarette a day thing.

9. I moved across the country last year and I really miss the friends I left behind. I really, really like where I live now, though.

10. Music and art mean everything to me and are probably the reason I‘m alive today.

(Number 11 would probably be the fact that I love talking about myself way too much. This got SO long. Geez.)
