Most popular by kudos: Partners, at 601. Oh, hey, it's reached 600 kudos since I last checked!!! The first fic of mine to go over that threshold :')

Most hits: the joys of spring, at a whopping 18,445! The hit count is so high that it's even closing in on my second most popular Camren fic (19,463 hits). Still, it'll be a long way to go to get to the top spot, where my most popular Camren fic currently sits at 27,821 hits. At the same time, it's been less than a year for this one, and seven for the others, soooo... who knows what'll happen!

Longest: Once again, the answer is the joys of spring! the joys of spring has exactly 30,000 words in 30 chapters. (My greatest accomplishment in 2024 tbh lol.)

Shortest: Well, technically speaking, it's Exclusive at 50 words. It's not a fic, though. It's a manip, and the article I wrote to go along with it is just... an afterthought. Which is why I'm going to go with That's not very in love with me of you at 500 words.

Most comments: the joys of spring once again, which got 145 comment threads.

Wow!! I never thought I'd see the day where someone would give me a run for my money in the smut department, but you absolutely have!!! I'm highly impressed! The em dashes really add a heightened level of anticipation to the scene, and I like the hyperfocus on internal senses. The imagery of galaxies behind Ava's eyes speaks to the full-body domino effect of pleasure. It's very well executed. I'm over here taking deep breaths and consciously unclenching my jaw. Ya got me hot and bothered, ngl. Ava swallows. Blood rushes to her head, and she knows without a doubt that her face is red. She’s hot, burning hot, and she can’t pay attention long enough to hear the rest of what Deborah is saying. Not shaming, then. Accusing? Is Deborah accusing her of— Ava stares ahead and licks her lips. It’s all she can do to try not to be too obvious about the absolute state of her underwear. She’s so fucking—why is this not turning her off? Why is being scolded by Deborah doing it for her? “Come.” “Huh?” The way I also had the 'Huh?' reaction to reading 'Come' skldjfalkdjsf It spreads from her core to her stomach, to her thighs. And then to her heart, and to her arms, to her legs and head and her everything. / Ava swears something bursts behind her eyes. It might be a firework. It might be a meteor. It might be an entire fucking galaxy. / The galaxy behind her eyes explodes into a wall of white while her body pulses, her stomach contracting along with those pulses. This focus on internal senses is what I wish everyone would include in their smut. But writing erotica is a skill! It takes time to learn how to meld senses together to create an immersive reading experience, and I think you've done that well. Consider me a fan! <3

I didn't reply to it for days on end when I got it, I just wanted to read it over and over again. And I'm still not over it. Like. I'm deserving of this much praise????? Me???? Ahhsbjhdsvjcjdhb!!!!!

Fics that made me cry: The one fic that had any angst in it, Shattered Remains. Writing it felt really good. I loved it. But it did also make me very emotional.

Fics that made me smile: I don't really remember anything but the one fic that literally cracked me up every single time I attempted to read or edit it. Keepin' You Hangin' On The Telephone. My fiancée and I (jokingly, at first) tried coming up with absolutely ridiculous euphemisms for the vulva and vagina and after telling @wilfriede about it, they made me keep every single one of them. Without tagging the fic as crack, or warning people about it. And, honestly? It was kind of a blast. People liked it despite the horrendous euphemisms, and we three got a huge kick out of it and laughed about it for ages lol.

Gifts: Five! That's all the gifts I've ever received! :))) I got two Hacks fics from @lilolilyr, and three podfics from @wilfriede! Two of those were my own works, which made the gifts even more exciting! Like. Their Podfic of Bitte bitte mich is literally perfect. It's exactly how I imagined it and how I would have read it myself. (And you should totally listen to it.)

Collaborations: One! My first collaboration ever, in fact! Dare Me to Tell You the Truth was written by me, recorded by @wilfriede and me, and edited by @wilfriede for Pod Together 2024! As well as my first collab, this was also my first ever podfic. For either of those, I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with, honestly. @wilfriede -- thank you for your enthusiasm, your excitement, and your patience! You're awesome! (As are all of your podfics!)

Events: As mentioned above, Pod Together 2024. My first (and only) event :)

Word count read: I didn't read much, and I also don't keep track of my read fics. Probably somewhere between 150k and 250k, if that.

🐸 If you incorporated your OTP into a Disney movie plot, which would it be? You know what, I think Mirandy in an Enchanted-type setting would be incredibly cool. I can absolutely imagine Andy as a singing princess who gets stranded in New York, and Miranda as a married businesswoman who's got no time for any of it.

⏳If you could go back in time and tell your younger writer self something, what would it be? The same thing I still struggle with now: write for you, write what you want to read. Don't think about what style or plot points or vanilla-ass sex you think others want to see/read, do whatever you are up for, into, or comfortable with. Do everything for you. Not for anyone else.

😁What makes you happiest - comments, kudos, bookmarks, subscribers or asks? Comments! It's always been comments for me. And since they've been on the decline for years and it's even rarer to get them now, they make me even happier.

🌷What's one of your fics that isn't as popular, but you hold dear? I'm going to choose a different one for this than I did for @wilfriede's ask. I really like this angsty fic I wrote for Madre Solo Hay Dos. It's my least kudoed one for that particular fandom, and I understand why, but I just think it makes SO much sense. Mariana has all the right reasons to go through with leaving--and that, unfortunately, includes leaving Ana behind. It's an unhappy conclusion to their love story, yes, but in line with season 3, I think. (Plus, who knows what happens in the future. Maybe Mariana ends up not liking her job? Maybe she comes back? Maybe Ana moves? So many possibilities for a(n eventual) happy ending.)

🤩 What's the most meaningful comment you've ever received?

I received this comment about seven years ago on one of my first ever fics, and it has stuck with me:

Okay, I'm gonna confess something real quick: I just discovered the Camren fandom. I don't even listen to Fifth Harmony but people say all the time that the Camren fics (especially the ones containing smut) are insanely good, so I decided to look for one and give it a try. This was literally the first one I came across and, oh, my dear and sweet Jesus. It's honestly one of the best things I've ever read. It's crazy that I'm not a part of the fandom and yet I was so freaking into it. I seriously don't know how you did it, but bravo!

Back when I was writing for Madre Solo Hay Dos, there were so many lovely comments. Pretty sure that, on every single one of my fics, there was at least one comment that just made me so fucking happy. It was such a beautiful, positive, uplifting fandom. Possibly because there are only around 80 fics on AO3, so it's really, really tiny. Here's an example:

It’s all about picking up the “million fucking pieces”. Some find a different and better path. Some require a bridge — a growth opportunity, a rebirth, rising from the ashes to try again, to love again, to let themselves be loved, to have a better chance at being loved. To rise up from the ashes first you have to burn. Seldom do we experience the excruciating burning along side the character, the focus is on the actions moving forward, on the journey to the price…I was burning and disintegrating reading this and I THANK YOU for the privilege.

Isn't that just lovely? Sigh.

Another comment that will always be in my heart is this one, because it's how I met my girlfriend:

Omg! No one is able to balance pure filth and smuff quite like you do. You always get the sense that both characters are totally into it and it never comes across as rapey, if you get what I mean. You have a damn gift. Would you please consider doing an edging/ orgasm denial fic at some point?

It's been seven years now and we're still together. All because she left this comment. (So, essentially, this means I've married a fan! Though I never did write that fic for her. Whoops.)

🥘What wip are you most excited about?

I don't have any WIPs at the moment. Just the one lonely Avorah cheating fic idea in my head, which I talked about in this ask. That's... unfortunately all I've got going for me WIP-wise. I do, however, have a(n almost) fully edited fic ready to go in my AO3 drafts, and I just really want to get that published ASAP so I can stop stressing about it. I'll post the link here once it's up. :)

14. where do you get your inspiration? in most cases, it's from listening to a song. a line will stick out to me and i'll be like "huh... what if this happened to (ship)" or "oh it would be SO fun if (member of ship) said/thought this" other times i'm just (re)watching a scene and i'll be like "oh... oh what if they fucked nasty before/during/after this"

25. besides writing, what are your other hobbies? i looooooove video games!!!!!! i spend most of my days playing them honestly. other than that, i like to cross stitch, and i'm interested in languages, so i'll research language/grammar/phonetics related stuff at random.

27. your favorite part of the writing process it's always great when i'm in a flow and i can just... write. freely. without having to think about what the heck i'm doing every five seconds. so, yeah, being on a roll, i suppose. oh, and tagging/posting. finally making that one last edit and publishing the fic!

That there is a two hour timezone gap between Tijuana and Mexico City, and that it takes approximately three and a half hours to fly between the two because they're almost 3,000 km apart. There are also about ten or so flights every day, so you can fly whenever, really.

4. a story idea you haven’t written yet i really want to write an avorah cheating fic. the idea is that deborah and ava meet when they're both dating someone/married. ava decides deborah is THE hottest person she's ever met and just. flirts with her. like. SO much flirting. whew. deborah is intrigued, but kind of doesn't really believe ava is actually interested? maybe it's a game or something? and ava just fucking goes for it because she has GOT to have deborah. she tells her all the super explicit things she wants to do to her. and i mean... really explicit. "i wanna choke on your strap" kind of explicit. okay. and deborah does let ava take her home, and she lets her do exactly what she's promised. at some point--maybe when ava is going down on her?--deborah tells her she hasn't come that hard in decades and uh. yeah. that's it? and then maybe it kind of ends with ava all disheveled, telling her gf how she got drunk last night and doesn't remember much while secretly thinking about deborah

6. the word that appears the most in your current draft deborah (36 times), good (19 times), fuck (18 times)/fucking (16 times). that uhhhh. tracks lol

8. if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for… oh! i think four play, because i really enjoyed the challenge of making a foursome work the first time around! i think it would be awesome to write more andy/emily/serena/miranda. especially because there ain't much out there. i have also thought about writing another couple of chapters to caddy girl because i think their dynamic would be SO fun to explore. but that's all it is. a thought. i am me

10. what is the longest amount of time you’ve let a draft rest before you finished it? a couple of months. two months, maybe? three? although my current one has also been sitting there mostly untouched since november so...
