so one time you tagcommented on an artwork of the lost i made saying hes "cutes" and the word "cutes" has become a vocabulary staple within my friend group because i started using it too so thank you

this is actually kinda funny because i also picked up that speech pattern from someone else (friend name of ely) because i just thought it was so visceral to say something is "cutes" or "goods" instead of "cute" or "good"

Tumblr is bad for Original character artists with low followers. BUT if you enter a fandom, ANY fandom, your art WILL get likes/reblogs/tagcomments, and even make the occasional rounds of being shared again, and then calm down months later. My Danny Phantom art gets blown up once in a while still despite the fact I have not drawn ANYTHING related to the franchise for like 7 years. My Rise of the Guardians art makes the rounds too at random. (I do still draw Jack Frost once in a while to see how I fair style wise, because it's fun) It's just how it works. Tumblr is memes and fandom. I've had more success just tossing fanart up on here and getting views, than anything I draw of my own original characters.

I keep like... worrying that someone is going to see my 'tiny enjolras needs a hug’ tag and think that I ‘headcanon him as tiny’ or something when in fact, I recognise that he is the tallest of the amis at probably like 6′2″ or something, and somehow always manages to seem Even Taller like he’s talking to you from the heavens themselves and almost never projects anything even remotely resembling this ‘vulnerability’ thing that humans do.... but also, a) he was nonetheless once a solemn child of the kind one wants to protect not despite but because of their self-sufficiency and air of wise understanding beyond their years, and I’m sure sometimes his friends look at him and remember this and are acutely aware in a sudden flash that he is still made of the same substance as other humans and can in fact be hurt etc, and the violent revolt of the spirit against this notion is another part of his complicated and multifaceted charisma, plus b) that tag first appeared in my tagcomments on a comic that took place when Enjolras was a literal child and I thought ‘hey wouldn’t it be hilarious if this became my enjolras tag’ and uh, it stuck.
