La sculpture murale en fil de fer barbelé tourbillonnant "Mediterranean Wave" est une pièce unique commandée à Abdul Rahman Katanani, est un symbole des origines et de la mer. For her Paris home, architect Aline Asmar d’Amman commissioned Abdul Rahman Katanani’s swirling barbed wire wall sculpture for the salon, where it overlooks a vessel by Johannes Nagel and a Katie Stout ceramic chair. Beneath the room’s original late-19th-century chandelier, sofas by Ico Parisi (left) and Edward Wormley face a Mathilde Penicaud cocktail table, while an heirloom Baccarat vase filled with flowers by Debeaulieu accents a console next to a vintage Italian torch-cut metal mirror. 2. Des vases vintage en verre de Murano rejoignent un centre de table à trois niveaux ayant appartenu à Karl Lagerfeld, sur la table Colosso en marbre Arabescato de Victoria Wilmotte, avec des chaises vintage Carlo de Carli. Tadeas Podracky brings traditional chinese bamboo chair into a contemporary context.

This project explores traditional chinese bamboo furniture in a context of contemporary design, In order to bring back the essence of chinese handicrafts to people´s life. Shape of Personal Bamboo Sofa is freely inspired by Ming chair. He develop new system of upholstery, for sofa is required only two long strips of foam. In this concept of sofa I dealt with the problem how to create cheap and comfortable chair using traditional Chinese craft which can succeed in the aesthetic and practical demands of modern society.

“I created Personal Bamboo Sofa when I was doing research about chinese handicrafts and materials in Yuhang, China. I collaborated with local artisan and tried to understand manufacture process of making traditional furniture from bamboo. I was very impressed by the process, technology of furniture making and also traditional final products.”
