It’s a well known phenomena that if a builder is skilled enough, passionate enough, believes in themselves and their work enough, their creation can come alive. It has simply been dubbed ‘builder’s magic’, even when it is so much more.

But what about when a story is crafted so strongly, but doesn’t have a single place to manifest or a single builder to host off of?

Well. It’s happened already. A few times, really. But the oldest of these stories…

The fallen Dev has no brother. Neither does the Original, Joe Hills, although he doesn’t consider himself an only child.

And yet, there is evidence suggesting otherwise. Many have sworn they have seen the man, simply dressed and white-eyed, in their worlds. Usually staring from afar before vanishing, later accompanied by forests stripped of leaves and sandstone pyramids at sea. Or perhaps the environmental signs come first, and then they see him. It doesn’t matter.

All they know is that they are not alone.

Few claim to have a connection to this man. Even fewer actually are. Many that do have some relation to him don’t realise or don’t admit it.

The Devs can find no evidence of him.

And yet, he exists. A story told a thousand, a million times over, given a life, a body. The story of the Griefer, the Unseen Eyes, the Familiar Turned Other, combined into one.

What about 👗 and 😇 for certain Joe of the Hills ?

Joe’s religion is one of his own design. No one’s quite figured out exactly what he practices, just that he does. The best description would be ‘a little bit of everything, but he seemingly read the instruction manuals in a language he only knows a sister language of (like if he knew French, but the instructions were in Spanish), and also it was upside down, and also he chose to ignore like 90% of the booklet and add his own stuff.’

What I’m trying to say is he practices the Joe Hills Difference. I probably could’ve cut it down to that but I think a drawn out metaphor that goes off on a tangent that makes barely any sense by the end of it is far more fitting.

Also I’m a regular Joe stream viewer and can happily say tacomlu!joe still has the 3 different chats. - Chambers

Also don't mind me, I will just leave neon green fluffy blanket with a book filled with pinball machine design pictures with Joe, just to try to make him feel a tiny bit better <3

(I will make some packages for other hermits experiencing the "loss" of their friends/buddies later, I still need to figure those out XD )
