A short trip to London to visit friends. Visited the British museum, ate Korean BBQ and found a signed copy of Butter! I borrowed it from the library earlier this year and enjoyed it so much that I needed to invest in a copy 🤩 working on some Germam homework and coursework on the train home!

13. What ninjas would you want as your teammates?

Ooooh, like anyone anyone? Hmm, I guess it depends on what for? If we're talking individuals/partners for missions, I think I'd work well with Neji, Itachi, Sasori, Kisame, Kakuzu, Sakura, Tenten, Gaara, Sasuke, and ANBU-era Kakashi, to name a few (work-oriented, no-nonsense vibe; I enjoy watching shenanigans on screen, but I've got no tolerance for them when I have a job to do XD). If we're talking about genin teams, though? Probably Neji and Shikamaru: both intelligent (I know from experience I have Issues when this is not the case lmao); Neji is a close-range fighter, Shikamaru is a distance fighter, and I'm mid-range with my weapons of choice; and neither is given to clowning around. I think it'd be a pretty well-balanced team :) There may be more combinations, but this was the first one that came to mind.

14. Which opening is your favorite?

This is even harder than the endings question T__T A tie between Closer by Inoue Joe (Naruto Shippuden Opening 4), Sign by FLOW (Naruto Shippuden Opening 6), and Newsong by tacica (Naruto Shippuden Opening 10).

This motherfucker.

He has the great distinction of ranking #1 out of only three characters I dislike in Naruto. (No, but like, for real that's it -- I only actively dislike three, out of the entire damn cast; and not even Danzo makes the cut lmao).

　ここ数日、パソコンがブルースクリーンを連発していてそろそろ寿命と思われる。学部一年のころからとかれこれ12年くらい使用しており、よく使えたほう。cpuはsandy bridgeで、「まだ戦える」とネタにされ続けてきたが、たいして重い作業をしないということもあり、今でも特に何も困っていない。新しいパソコンを視野に入れるために調べていたが、現在のcpuがどれくらいのものなのかほとんどわからず、アマゾンのブラックフライデーで5万円のやつを買おうとしていたが、そのパソコンのcpuが第6世代、今は第14世代となっており、くわえて第7世代以下はサービスが打ち切られるらしいので、早とちりしてうっかり買わないでよかった。

　昨日は彼女とノベンバのライブを観に行ってきた。どうやら話を聞くと、ドレスコードが敷かれていないにもかかわらず、観客の多くが暗黙裡の了解として真黒らしい。それを聞いて、逆張り精神がむくむくと芽生えてきて、真っ赤なセーターで行った。結果としては今回はそんなに真黒ではなかった。観たのは、10年前の新宿ロフトでのスリーピーとのツーマン、さらに12年前のピープル、tacicaとのスリーマンくらいで、ワンマンは初めてだった。始まってみると、音圧が意外と抑えられてて、もう少し大きくてもいいかなとは思ったけど、慣れてくるとあの音を伝えるのに、最適なくらいで、PAが良かった。

　今回は、アルバムをリリースする前のライブで、MCがほとんどなく、非常にストイックなライブであったが、そのわずかなMCで「楽しみをベットしてくれてありがとう」という話がなされていた。別に特定の何かを念頭に��いているわけではないが、ただ聞いて見るだけではなくて、あちらの覚悟を受け取って、対峙するという緊張関係を結んだライブに出会えることはとても嬉しい。全てがそうあれ、とは思わないが、そういう場が増えてほしいとは思う。

　そんなことを書きながら、ただただ楽しくて新曲のことはほとんど覚えていないのだが、私にとって馴染みのある曲が聞けてよかった。At the beginingを聞いていたつもりがやはりちゃんと聞いてなかったようで、New Yorkという曲でコールアンドレスポンス的なものが始まったときには、「え、ノベンバって今こんなんになってるの？」と固まってしまったこともあったが、そのあとのこわれる、BAD DREAM、XENOはとても良かった。あとアマレットからのRhapsody in beautyからの繋ぎの妙に笑って頭を抱えてしまったり、アンコールでバースデイを聞けて、一瞬だけ10代のころに気持ちが引き戻されたり。あとコーラスがうまかった、あそこまで上手いバンドってめずらしいとまで思った。

What's your favorite Naruto-verse opening? 🎶

Interesting ask! and random! I couldn't just choose one (though top is probably Haruka Kanata), so my favorite openings are

definitely "Haruka Kanata" by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, such a fantastic song to go hard in at karaoke, and I love AKFG

2. "Niwaka Ame ni mo Makezu" by NICO Touches the Walls has the prettiest animation out of all of them

3. "Kaze" by Yamazaru is the most aesthetically pleasing to me with its woodblock print and like fusuma-inspired design

4. "Hero's Come Back!!" by nobodyknows+ because it just gives that Naruto feeling

5. "A World That Was Transparent" by Hata Motohiro - just left a strong impression on me. Like I never skipped over it. The feels.

6. "Kara no Kokoro" by Anly because I am a sucker for their Blank Period designs, also, the NaruHina.

7. I also watched "Newsong" by Tacica through a lot because it's by far the funniest one out of all of them.

8. and for sentimental, iconic reasons - "GO!!!" by FLOW.
