Hey! Just wanted to put it out there that I’m looking to move away from freelancing and towards full-time employment as an artist. If you’re hiring, know somebody who’s hiring, or just have tip about a job for which I may be a good fit, please contact me! (tachyonart@gmail.com) Full-time would be preferred but I’m open to part-time or even contract work if it pays a living wage. In general, I am just searching for more stability than freelancing alone has been able to provide for me.

My formal education and work background is in engineering but I’ve been doing professional (i.e. paid) work as an artist since 2018. For every job I’ve had (whether in STEM or in art), I’ve been able to work with minimal direction, teach myself whatever skills I’ve needed along the way, and generally do whatever is necessary to deliver high-quality results on-time or ahead of schedule. I’m happy to provide references from former employers, a complete list of projects I’ve worked on, and a more formal resume to anyone interested.

If anyone seeing this could give it a share I’d really appreciate it, especially if you’re in the industry. I’ve been applying to jobs for a while now without success- my unconventional employment history makes it a little difficult. An endorsement from my peers would go a long way.

Noticed that you take socialist banners as inspiration on your art and that made me curious about your political views, Are you a socialist or Marxist? Os just kinda left leaning?

I’m glad you’re into what I do! I appreciate the very direct question so I’ll try to give a very direct answer.

I would consider myself an anarcho-communist. At least, that’s the kind of society I’d like to live in. I genuinely believe the abolition of private property, states, and hierarchies is a real (if very difficult) possibility and is in the best interest of the vast majority of people. That said, I’m an anticapitalist and a socialist first and I’m broadly (if critically) supportive of most movements that have had any success fending off capital. I’m not so naïve that I ignore the real historical failures of anarchism to create alternatives to capitalism on the scale of the USSR,PRC, Cuba, etc.

My politics are still evolving and I only really became radicalized in the last couple years. But anarchism still makes the most sense to me.

That’s what I’ll say for now. I try to be transparent about the things I believe but also I’m literally a guy who draws robots on the internet. Nobody who follows this blog needs me to lecture them on politics lol. If anybody reading this wants more detail about my views you can send me an ask but depending on the question I may not answer it publicly. An email (tachyonart@gmail.com) may be better.

Hey!

Logan here. Quick little life update from me: I've been recovering from some pretty intense surgery and will be continuing to do so in the near future. I am overall in good health and good spirits but it is impacting my ability to work pretty significantly so I just want to put it out there in case anybody is waiting on work or a message from me: please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions. Battle of Lost Wisdom (Part 2)

The boy, crushed in the rumble of the first attack from the master elder, tried to rise. Her eyes engulfed in fury as she swung her axed blade on top of the fleshing boy. He reacted quickly with a shield of azure and sapphire. The impact of the attack did forces his legs to give out. He was still protected as the elder gazed upon him with disappointment. {Why don’t you fight me, I know you have fought before, so at least prove to me that you can do something right!} She them attempted another attack, but the child sprinted to another corner of the room. {Running! I expected better than that from you! I swear you won’t be forgiven for running!} In her rage, she smashed into the wall with full force. This charge barely missed the boy, as the very structure of the chamber started to stop materializing, causing ruptures throughout the building. The Light of the stars were all that could be used to navigate the battle. The chase continued with every blow, whether single handed or together, it sent the boy flying with every collision. He knew that it would be only a matter of time until he wouldn’t be able to even move, much more defend from the angered elder. I can’t let it all end here, there must be a way to calm her. He continued to block with minimum effect. {You will never leave this chamber boy!} By that statement, the boy began to feel something. He began to glow a bit, and the elder observed in amazement. She hadn’t seen those lights since before her time as an elder. The boy transformed with beams of steel light going in all direction...

Battle of Lost Wisdom (Part 4)

As the boy began to rise again, the Elder noticed the turmoil in his eyes die down. She was kinda concerned as to his confidence, but knew he couldn’t do anything in form of damage to her. He looked into her eyes, and she only gained frustration by the fact he didn’t have fear at this point. {Alright, you have done well up to this point. Now it is time to end this!} She then prepared her sword with as much energy as possible to be able to break through any of the boy’s last protection. She approaches him, ready to swing, and end this, once and for all. The darkness of the room constructed the fear within her. He then ran to her, and gave her a hug. The Elder then fell to her knees as she realized why it all seemed so familiar...

Battle of Lost Wisdom (Part 3)

The beams continued to glow, expanding until the room was engulfed by his light. Then it all came back to him. The boy was different now, wore a royal blue robing, sleeveless that came to a point at an angle toward the rear. His weapon was a short sword of slim diameter. With that, he carried a shield that was small, yet just large enough to cover his forearm. He just stood there, motionless, and the elder just stared at him, confused by how, or why he was like that. {Is this some kind of joke to you, I’m going to kill you! I’ll give you a second to start fighting, or you won’t last another minute!} She then instantly flew to the point he stood, slashing with her weapon, only to be met by the sword. It held her blade perfectly, not a bit too close to his body. She jumped back and attempted another slash, failing to land a direct hit with his quick reaction times. Her eyes were growing in pain from the strain. She couldn’t handle how easily he was taking the attacks, it reminded her of the first time she battled. The onslaught only continued as she finally started to do damage, but only slight as the boy couldn’t block a hold swing from her blade if she came closer to him, and so he started to bleed. The wounds grew as she figured out that he wasn’t able to respond to her attacks, but the pattern at which he was defecting seemed very familiar to the elder. {You have really impressed me, I think you should realize that you won’t last forever though.} She was now about ten meters away, waiting for a moment to see if he would go on the offensive. She really couldn’t want to end this child’s life, but felt there wasn’t another way of doing this. {Alright, now for the end, I can’t keep playing with you...} The rob from the boy started to fade back to its original form, with the sword also becoming a staff instead.
